The moon sleeps peacefully up in the sky.
[Cricket chirps, snoring]
Jasmine says, HMM? JAMBO!
JAMBO, WAKE UP!
Jambo says, HUH? WHAT TIME IS IT? HUH?
BUT THE MOON'S STILL OUT! JASMINE...
[Boing, snoring]
Jasmine says, EXACTLY!
IT'S TEN IN THE MORNING
AND IT'S STILL NIGHT-TIME!
WE CAN'T SPEND THE WHOLE
DAY SLEEPING!
Jasmine crawls beneath Jambo’s hammock and pulls it down. As it snaps back up, Jambo flies up into the air.
[Piano notes play]
Jambo says, FLUGELHORNS! AGH!
[Boing, crash]
Jasmine says, UH-OH!
Jambo sleeps on top of a blue structure.
[Snoring]
Jasmine says, JAMBO, WHAT
ARE YOU DOING?
Jambo says, YOU FIRED ME
UP INTO THE AIR!
Jasmine says, I WAS EXPECTING
YOU TO TURN INTO AN AIRPLANE,
OR A PARACHUTE, OR A BUTTERFLY...
OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT FLIES!
Jambo says, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TURN
INTO ANYTHING WHEN I'M FEELING
THIS TIRED?
[Snoring]
Jasmine says, THE MOON SHOULD BE
AWAKE BY NOW!
Jambo says, I JUST WANT TO SLEEP A
LITTLE MORE. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
Jasmine asks, JAMBO, IF THE MOON
DOESN'T WAKE UP, THE SUN WON'T
BE ABLE TO COME OUT.
Jasmine shouts, MOON! WAKE UP!
[Doobeedoo yowls, slide whistle]
Jambo grumbles, YOU SHOULD SHOUT
IN THE MOON'S EAR, NOT RIGHT
INTO MINE!
Jasmine says, GOOD IDEA, JAMBO!
IF I CLIMB THE TALLEST BUILDING,
I CAN SHOUT FROM UP CLOSE.
Jambo says, I'D BETTER DO THAT.
IT'S DANGEROUS. OOH!
Jambo trips and falls asleep when he hits the ground.
[Jasmine laughs]
Jasmine says, BUT YOU'RE STILL
FAST ASLEEP! YOU CAN'T!
[Cheerful piano music plays]
Jambo says, OH, NO? YOU'LL SEE!
Jambo walks into a structure.
Jambo exclaims, OUCH!
[Creaking, Jasmine laughs]
Jambo climbs up a curved brass instrument, similar to a saxophone.
[Grunting]
Jambo shouts, MOON! WAKE UP!
TODAY'S ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHEN
WE'D ALL HAPPILY SLEEP ALL DAY
LONG, BUT IT WON'T DO, MY DEAR.
[Snoring]
Jambo shouts, JUST WAKE UP! TROMBONES!
[Sighs]
Jasmine shouts, HOW'S IT GOING UP THERE?
Jambo says, COULDN'T BE BETTER!
Jasmine watches as Jambo’s hat falls to the ground.
[Piano notes play]
Jasmine says, YEAH, YEAH, I CAN SEE!
LOOKS LIKE IT'S UP TO ME.
I NEED A GIANT LADDER, BUT
WHERE CAN I GET ONE?
OH, I KNOW!
Jambo dangles from the instrument by one hand.
Jasmine says, DOOBEEDOO,
GET ME SOME INSTRUMENTS.
DOODOOWAH, FIND ME LALALAS.
[Squeaking, piano music plays]
Jasmine says, TA-DA...YOU STAY
HERE WITH ME!
[Doodoowah blows a whistle]
Music notes bounce over Doodoowah.
[Squeaking]
Jasmine says, WE DON'T HAVE A GIANT LADDER,
BUT WE CAN PLAY A MUSICAL SCALE!
[Splash]
Jasmine says, EACH NOTE WILL GO
HIGHER THAN THE ONE BEFORE
AND THE LAST ONE WILL WAKE
UP THE MOON!
Jasmine sings, LA-LA-LA! LA LA!
[Jasmine strums a musical scale on a bass]
Jasmine says, OH!
The musical notes stand stacked beneath the moon. They lose their balance and fall.
The notes sing, LA!
[Clunk]
Jasmine says, I HAVE TO GO HIGHER!
AH! THE OBOE!
[Doodoowah blows a whistle]
Music notes hop over Doodoowah.
Jasmine plays the oboe.
[Oboe plays a musical scale]
The music notes sing, LA LA LA!
The music notes fall.
[Crash]
Jasmine says, EVEN HIGHER! VIOLIN!
Jasmine smiles as she plays the violin.
[Violin plays a musical scale]
The music notes stack and fall.
The music notes sing, LA!
[Crash]
Jasmine says, HIGHER! A HARP!
Jasmine plays a harp.
[Harp plays a musical scale]
The music notes fall.
[Crash]

Jasmine says, OH.
Jambo says, HMM. TRUMPETS!
NOW, I SEE WHAT SHE WANTS
TO DO!
JASMINE! JASMINE! THE PIANO!
THE INSTRUMENT WITH THE MOST
NOTES IS THE PIANO!
THAT'S JUST ONE LONG SCALE.
Jasmine says, OF COURSE!
THE PIANO!
Jasmine sits at an upright piano. Music notes stack.
[Crickets chirp, piano music scale plays from low to high notes]
Jasmine taps the last key.
[Tapping]
Jasmine asks, WHAT'S GOING ON?
AREN'T THERE ANY MORE LALALAS?
[Meow]
Ta-Da jumps into the piano.
[Boing, plop, high note plays]
Ta-Da flies up into the air and lands on top of the stack of music notes.
Jasmine says, UP YOU GO, TA-DA!
UP YOU GO!
Ta-Da jumps over the moon and it transforms into the sun.
[Sun yawns, cheering]
Jasmine says, WHY, THANK YOU, TA-DA!
Jambo asks, CAN SOMEONE
HELP ME DOWN FROM HERE?
Music notes stack and form a slide. Jambo slides down.
[Gentle music plays]
Jasmine sings, EVERY NOTE IS LIKE A STEP
UPON A STAIRCASE.
CLIMBING UP FROM LOW TO HIGH,
ASCENDING ALWAYS.
FOLLOWING A DIZZY PATH
MADE OUT OF MUSIC.
CARRYING YOU FROM DAY TO NIGHT
IF YOU SHOULD CHOOSE IT.
Jasmine twirls in the sky.
Jasmine sings, A SCALE HAS ESCAPED
OUT OF THE WINDOW.
PLAYING WILD ARPEGGIOS
WHEREVER IT GOES.
SOUNDS ARE LIKE
A TEAM OF CLIMBERS,
ALL CONNECTED.
LEADING YOU TO PLACES
YOU NEVER EXPECTED.
Jambo transforms into a submarine and carries Jasmine, Doobeedoo and Doodoowah.
Jasmine sings, GO HIGH, UP WE FLY,
EVER HIGHER.
[Splash, gentle music continues]
Jasmine plays different instruments.
Jasmine sings, GO HIGH,
UP WE FLY TO THE SKY.
Doodoowah, Ta-Da and Doobeedoo sway to the music. Doobeedoo takes off its hat and three music notes bounce out. They smile and sway to the music. Jasmine leaps out of the hat.
[Gentle music continues]
Jasmine sings, FOLLOWING A DIZZY PATH
MADE OUT OF MUSIC.
CARRYING YOU
FROM DAY TO NIGHT.
IF YOU SHOULD CHOOSE IT.
GO HIGH, UP WE FLY,
EVER HIGHER.
Jambo changes into a hot air balloon. He flies past trees. Doobeedoo and Jasmine ride in his basket.
[Rustling]
Jasmine sings, GO HIGH,
UP WE FLY TO THE SKY.

GO HIGH, UP WE FLY,
TO THE SKY.
Jambo sings, GOOD WORK!
AND THE SUN'S OUT AGAIN!

The stars fill with stars and the moon appears.
[Squeaking]
Jasmine says, GOOD NIGHT.
[Crickets chirp, piano music plays]
Jambo says, GOOD NIGHT?
BUGLES AND BANJOS!
WHAT IS GOING ON NOW?
Jasmine says, A WHOLE DAY'S GONE BY.
IT'S TEN AT NIGHT!
IT'S TIME TO GO TO BED!
Jambo says, WELL, I DON'T FEEL
SLEEPY ANYMORE!
I'VE ONLY JUST WOKEN UP!
