        The Universe

Question: I wonder how big the universe is? Perimeter Scientist: Damian Pope Damian starts by explaining that the universe is made up of everything there is - our planet Earth, all the planets in our solar system, all the stars in our Milky Way galaxy and all of the millions of galaxies around us too. The furthest object in space is about 45 million light years away and scientists have been able to calculate that the universe is at least 90 billion light years across in every direction but whatever is beyond that point is still a mystery.
