Aayana

Aayana is a 9-year-old girl who lives in Calgary, Alberta. She is Canadian Ghanaian and loves cooking traditional Ghanian dishes with her family. She shows us her impressive skills in the kitchen as she makes peanut butter soup - yum! - before taking us to an African shop to pick up some kente cloth, which is worn on special occasions - like to Aayana's uncle's wedding! After, Aayana has a piano lesson and shares her ambition to compose her very own music. Her creativity doesn't stop there - she also loves creating new games at the park with her friend Jayden. At the ice rink, Aayana practices her skating moves - transforming into an African princess on ice! - and receives an encouraging message from one her role models.
