The Secret Note

When Cris and Crat spot a suspicious stranger talking to Cris' Mum, Crat assumes the personality of detective Crattlethorpe and sets about solving the mystery. They find a strange piece of paper with some numbers on it which doesn't tell them much, but Crat is determined to work it out. They follow the clues back to their house and just as Crat is sure he's cracked the case; they discover the piece of paper was not what they thought. It turns out it was a 2-4-1 coupon for gumboots at the local shoe store, it was just wet in the rain and missing information. The twins are very excited about the prospect of new gumboots but Crat on the other hand is disappointed this mystery had such a soggy ending.
