Brewster overhears Morgan talking about something going to the scrap yard, and then hears Pete saying how worn out he is. Brewster jumps to the conclusion that it's Pete who's going to the scrap yard! He and the other trainees determine to help Pete by doing all of his work for him. A farce ensues as the trainees rush around doing Pete's work as well as their own. Pete is completely unaware of this - but he thinks it's a little spooky that his loads keep disappearing! Poor Brewster has bitten off more than he can chew, and ends up in a terrible mess. Old Puffer Pete, feisty as ever and nowhere near ready for the scrap yard, saves the day.

Next stop is the orange grove, where Orange is having trouble colouring flags into in between colours. It's another job for the Sorting Express team, to make and sort the flags into in between colours. At the concert, the Colourblocks forget to colour the stage. With the help of Yellow and Green, the stage is finally coloured and ready for Lime's concert. It's Lime Time!

Ella and her friends play a star-riddle game that is a tradition in Slippy's family. In order to beat Slippy's cousins, they need to find some super-giant stars! As they race around, Slippy becomes discouraged as Gem and Ilo find the second of three super-giant stars. Ella refuses to give up so easily and soldiers on to decipher the next riddle. When Slippy realizes that Ella is headed towards a star about to explode, he rushes to warn her. Can they all get out of the way before the star goes supernova? Then, Slippy's cousin Gem wants time apart from her twin brother Ilo but he doesn't want to hear it. His stubbornness causes her to lose a game of capture-the-flag. When no one wants to investigate the super puff planet they discovered, Gem races off on her own, despite the very high temperatures and strong winds. Ella explains to a confused Ilo how Gem is feeling. Gem and Ilo finally come to an understanding. They will always be twins, but they are also their own people.

Firefighter Ember’s CAUTION sign has disappeared, and now accidents are on the rise all over Wordsville because no one is being very cautious, or careful. With aunt Jenny out of commission, Alex jumps into the control seat after Rocket encourages him to challenge himself outside his comfort zone. Our heroes save the town from sleepwalking dangers including a dump truck driving out of control with a sleeping driver at the wheel. With Metallix making comical errors in AJ's place, our heroes manage to save the day. Stoked by overcoming that challenge, Riley takes a shot at her shoe record and beats it. Then, Riley is excited to help Jon write a song for a gig - his first gig in years. But the approaches that Riley and her Dad have to song-writing are very different, and cause tension. Meanwhile, Metal Mike gets a bad review and decides to up his performance game, with ridiculous demands that make the drones cause trouble in town. Things escalate when Metal Mike crashes the party and Rocket goes head to head to save the party gig for her dad and at the same time, appreciates his unique ways. In the end, Riley and Jon rock the party - and the block - with their new song.

Slippy adds rockets to an asteroid so Ella can practice on that instead. But Ella still wants to impress Angelie, so they make the asteroid look like a comet to fool her. The ruse does not work and Angelie calls Ella out on it, when a piece of comet breaks off and threatens H.O.M.E. Station. Slippy is sent to activate its protective shield, which he does in the nick of time.
