Sunny's Quest
Harris
Harris is a proud Canadian-Ghanian 12-year-old boy who lives in Clarence-Rockland, Ontario, with his mom, dad, and younger brother. Harris has a blast playing Ampe- a popular Ghanian game, with his family. He also loves hanging out in his bedroom, where he exhibits his soccer, track, and basketball medals. Harris is very proud of his fugu - a beautiful and fashionable handwoven fabric Ghanian garment. Harris and his mom make his favourite, traditional Ghanian meal: TUO ZAAFI served with a stew and AYOYO – which is a type of soup made from the jute plant. The meal is so good that Harris is inspired to bust a move with the azonto – a contemporary Ghanaian dance that’s popular around the world! And then Harris is off to soccer practice and shows us how he’s working to achieve his big dream of playing professionally for Canada or Ghana one day. And practice couldn’t get any better after receiving an inspirational message from one of his role models!
