REPORTER WITH A REALLY, REALLY
LONG BOOK TO READ OVER HERE.
Jim says I WAS TOLD THAT, YOU
KNOW, WE SHOULD CARRY ON...
Tumbleweed says UH, WOULD YOU
MIND?
Jim says... CONVERSATIONS AT A
REASONABLE LEVEL.
Tumbleweed sighs.
Jim says HERE IN THE NEWS ROOM.
Tumbleweed says OH, BACK TO MY
BOOK.
THE FOREST WAS THICK AND DENSE
WITH TREES OF MOONLIGHT
FILTERED...
NARROW PATHS, LA LA LA...
[Groaning]
Chief says TUMBLEWEED, MAY I SEE
YOU IN MY OFFICE, PLEASE?
Tumbleweed says OKAY.
BETTER THAN THIS BOOK ANYWAY.
HI CHIEF, WHAT'S GOING ON?
Chief says WELL, I'M ANXIOUS TO
READ YOUR STORY ON TUMBLETOWN,
THE PIONEER DAYS.
Tumbleweed says YEAH, WELL, I'M
GONNA NEED MORE TIME.
Chief says HOW SO?
Tumbleweed says I HAVE TO READ
ALL THESE OLD BOOKS AND PEOPLE
REALLY LIKED TO DESCRIBE THINGS
BACK THEN.
Chief says SO, YOU'RE FINDING THE
BOOKS A LITTLE...
Tumbleweed says BORING.
Chief says MHMM, WELL, WHY NOT
IMAGINE THAT THE STORY IS LIKE A
MOVIE AND YOU ARE THE STAR?
Tumbleweed says YEAH, GREAT
ADVICE.
UM, CAN I IMAGINE IT AT HOME?
Chief says HMM.
Tumbleweed says I FEEL LIKE I
COULD CONCENTRATE BETTER THERE.
Chief says UH, CERTAINLY.
Tumbleweed says REALLY?
[Laughing]
In the castle, Tumbleweed plays video games and says COME ON, GET THE BANANA!
GET THE BANANA!
[Groaning]
PRESS "A," ONE MORE BANANA TO
UNLOCK THE CAVE AND, OH!
GAME OVER.
[Groaning]
I GUESS I BETTER GET TO WORK.
OH, LAMENTABLE BOOK.
WHAT WAS THE CHIEF'S ADVICE
AGAIN?
Chief pops up in a dream bubble and says IMAGINE THAT THE STORY
IS LIKE A MOVIE AND YOU ARE THE
STAR.
Tumbleweed says IMAGINE IT LIKE A
MOVIE.
[Mumbling and munching]
WELL, OKAY, HERE I GO.
THE FOREST WAS THICK AND DENSE
WITH TREES OF EVERY VARIETY.
THE MOONLIGHT FILTERED THROUGH
THE LEAVES...
MAKING STRANGE PATTERNS ON THE
NARROW PATHS.
He imagines himself in the forest at night.
He says A COOL BLUE MIST FILLED THE AIR.
AND CARRIED WITH IT, A DAMP
SMELL.
THAT IS A DAMP SMELL.
THEN THERE WERE THE SOUNDS.
CRICKETS, OWLS.
[Gasping]
WAS THAT A WOLF?
Chinchilla says CHINCHILLA, CHINCHILLA,
CHINCHILLA!
[Laughing]
Tumbleweed says WOULD I EVER FIND
MY WAY THROUGH THIS DARK FOREST?
THEN I SAW A GLOW.
IT WAS A –
[Telephone ringing]
Tumbleweed says HEY SAL...
In the gym, Sal says TUMBLEWEED, I'M GOING TO
BEAT MY RECORD.
WATCH ME LIFT THIS!
DO YOU THINK I CAN LIFT THIS?
Tumbleweed says I CAN'T, SAL!
I'M IN A MOVIE.
Sal says WHAT?
Tumbleweed says I MEAN, I'M
WATCHING A MOVIE.
Sal says HUH?
Tumbleweed says WHATEVER.
CELL PHONES DON'T EXIST IN 1789.
I GOTTA GO!
[Beeping]
Sal says THAT WAS WEIRD.
[Groaning]
Tumbleweed says THEN I SAW A
GLOW.
IT WAS A WARM, YELLOW LIGHT THAT
GOT LARGER AS I APPROACHED.
IT WAS A CANDLE LEFT IN THE
WINDOW BY MY BROTHER.
FINALLY, I WAS HOME.
[Music playing]
Tumbleweed says WOW, THAT WAS
COOL!
WHEN THEY MADE PICTURES IN MY
HEAD, IT BECAME SO MUCH MORE
REAL.
IT'S LIKE I WAS REALLY THERE.
NOW I CAN FINISH THIS AND WRITE
MY STORY.
The following day, the newspaper front page reads "Tumble Town Pioneer Days."
A black rodent reads the article and says TUMBLETOWN PIONEER DAYS!
WHOA!
I FEEL LIKE I WAS THERE!
Twiggy says WHAT A GREAT ARTICLE!
Brent says I LOVE READING ABOUT
THE OLD DAYS, BUDDY!
Another black rodent says OH, I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE I WAS
THERE!

ARTICLE REALLY BRINGS THE
PIONEER DAYS TO LIFE.
Tumbleweed says WELL, THANKS,
BUFFY.
WHETHER I'M READING OR WRITING,
I ALWAYS TRY TO IMAGINE A MOVIE
IN MY MIND.
The book closes and the caption "The end" appears.
Tumbleweed says DIRECTED BY ME,
STARRING ME, PRODUCED BY ME, KEY
GRIP, ME, GAFFER, ME!
