(music plays)

The opening sequence shows the Canadian flag atop the Parliament, a man playing hockey outdoors, a trout splashing off the water, a panorama of Toronto from Lake Ontario, a Mounted Policeman saluting and a view of cropped fields.

A title reads "My Canada."

A group of narrators say MY CANADA!

A kid giggles and says SWEET.

A teacher faces a classroom. He is balding and has short, black hair on the sides of his head. He wears a white shirt and a striped tie. He stands in front of a map of Canada, a chalkboard with a monument drawing, and a TV set.

The Teacher says ATTENTION PLEASE,
ATTENTION PLEASE.
THANK YOU, FOR TODAY'S CLASS WE
WILL BE WATCHING A VIDEO REPORT
ABOUT THE PEACE TOWER IN OTTAWA
ONTARIO.

The teacher turns on the TV.

Leah is around 12, with brown hair tied-up. She wears a blue T-shirt over a white shirt.

Leah says HI, MY NAME IS LEAH AND
TODAY WE ARE HERE IN THE PEACE
TOWER IN OTTAWA, ONTARIO, AND
THIS IS MY CANADA.
TODAY I AM JOINED WITH JULIE WHO
IS A TOUR GUIDE FOR THE
PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS.
HI, JULIE.

Julie is in her late twenties with shoulder-length wavy brown hair. She wears a blue jacket with buttons.

Julie says HI, LEAH.

Leah says SO WHAT ARE SOME COOL
THINGS YOU CAN TELL ME ABOUT THE
PEACE TOWER?

An image of the Parliament Building appears. An arrow points to a tower. A caption reads "Peace Tower."

Julie says WELL NOT ONLY IS THE
PEACE TOWER AN IMPRESSIVE
MONUMENT, IT ALSO HOUSES A
REALLY COOL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
KNOWN AS THE CARILLON.
AND THE CARILLON IS COMPRISED
ENTIRELY OF BELLS.

Leah says WOW.
SO HOW MANY BELLS ARE THERE?

Julie says WE ACTUALLY HAVE 53
BELLS IN THIS TOWER.

Julie says AND THEY ARE ALL
DIFFERENT SIZES AND WEIGHTS, BUT
THEY WEIGH A TOTAL OF 120,000
POUNDS.
AND A FUN THING, THE BIGGEST
BELL WEIGHS ABOUT THE EQUIVALENT
OF THREE ELEPHANTS IN WEIGHT.

Leah says WOW, THAT'S ONE HEAVY
BELL.

Julie says SO HOW OFTEN DO THEY
RING?

Julie says WELL, IT DEPENDS.
IF YOU'RE PLAYING THE CARILLON
LIKE A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT YOU
CAN DO THAT WHENEVER YOU WANT
AND USE ALL 53 BELLS, OTHER THAN
THAT THOUGH, EVERY 15 MINUTES,
FOUR BELLS WILL GO OFF WITH A
DIFFERENT RING EACH TIME, SO
THAT YOU KNOW WHERE IN THE HOUR
YOU ARE WITHOUT HAVING TO LOOK
AT YOUR WATCH.

Leah says WOW THAT'S REALLY NEAT.
WELL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR
SHARING THAT INFORMATION WITH ME
TODAY, JULIE.
BYE GUYS.

The Teacher says AND YOU GUYS
THOUGHT YOUR FAVOURITE BELL WAS
THE RECESS BELL!

[Bell rings]

The Teacher says NOW THAT, IS PERFECT
TIMING.
