(music plays)
The show opens with two girls and a boy pointing at the camera and saying the show title.
A slate appears for each word inside a speech bubble against a background of colourful pixels.
Then, the speech bubbles show the names of the characters.
Melissa is in her twenties and has long, straight, brown hair with bangs. She wears a pink knitted hat, a red shirt, a white jacket, and black trousers.
Shamus is in his twenties and has short, black hair. He wears a black fedora, black glasses, a plaid shirt with a blue bow-tie, and red pants.
Ruth is in her thirties and has medium-length blonde hair with bangs. She wears a light-blue ensemble of sportswear.
Melissa sits in the kitchen, holding her tablet.
She gasps and says MY FRIEND SHAMUS JUST TOLD
ME THAT TWO DIRECTIONAL ARE
COMING TO TOWN.
THEY'RE LIKE THE
BEST BAND EVER.
A speech bubble with Shamus’ picture reads WE SHOULD
BUY TICKETS AND GO.
A speech bubble with Melissa’s picture reads TICKETS ARE SUPER
EXPENSIVE! WHERE WOULD WE GET THAT
KIND OF MONEY?
A speech bubble with Shamus’ picture reads MY PARENTS WOULD
PAY US TO DO CHORES AROUND THE HOUSE!
A speech bubble with Melissa’s picture reads PAY US?
A "wink" emoji appears.
A speech bubble with Melissa’s picture reads CHORES?
A "sad" emoji appears.
A speech bubble with Shamus’ picture reads DO YOU WANT TO GO
TO THE CONCERT OR NOT?
Melissa says I DO REALLY WANT TO GO
TO THE CONCERT, BUT I
DON'T KNOW WHAT WE COULD
DO AROUND SHAMUS' HOUSE.
A speech bubble with Melissa’s picture reads ALL RIGHT,
SEE YOU SOON!
Melissa runs to Shamus’ house.
Melissa says HEY, SHAMUS.
Shamus says OH, HEY, MELISSA.
Melissa says OKAY, SO I WANT TO KNOW
HOW DOING CHORES IS
GOING TO GET US TO THE
TWO DIRECTIONAL CONCERT.
AND WHEN I WANT TO
FIND SOMETHING OUT...
She shouts I AM UNSTOPPABLE!
Shamus gives her a rake and rubber gloves and says OKAY, WELL, HOLD THIS,
THIS, AND THIS IS
OUR LIST OF CHORES.
The list of chores reads "Chores to do: pulling weeds, washing windows, raking, washing car and planting flowers."
Melissa says ER, THAT'S A LONG
LIST OF THINGS TO DO.
Shamus says WELL, WE BETTER GET THEM
DONE BEFORE THE CONCERT.
They go inside and get in overalls.
A caption reads "Monday."
They start working in the garden.
The caption changes to "Tuesday."
They clean the windows.
The caption changes to "Wednesday."
They rake.
The caption changes to "Thursday."
Melissa transplants plants into a larger pot.
The caption changes to "Friday."
They wash the car.
Melissa says OH, THAT WAS A LOT OF
WORK FOR FIVE DAYS.
MONEY REALLY MEANS A WHOLE
LOT MORE WHEN YOU WORK
HARD TO EARN IT.
Shamus says GOOD NEWS.
MY PARENTS
JUST PAID US.
Melissa says WHAT?!
WELL, DO WE HAVE ENOUGH
TO GO SEE THE CONVERT?
Shamus says LET'S SEE.
He counts the money by 20.
Melissa says WE MADE 100 DOLLARS.
Shamus says WE MADE
20 DOLLARS A DAY.
A caption reads "20 dollars by 5 days equals 100 dollars."
Melissa says WOW.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT
THIS MEANS, SHAMUS?
They shout WE'RE GOING TO SEE
TWO DIRECTIONAL!
Melissa says AND
THIS
CALLS FOR
A VICTORY MOMENT.
DOING CHORES AROUND
SHAMUS' HOUSE WAS A GREAT
OPPORTUNITY TO
MAKE EXTRA MONEY.
SHAMUS' PARENTS WERE HAPPY
TO GET THE WORK DONE,
AND WE EVEN HAD
FUN DOING IT.
BUT THE BEST PART, THE
CONCERT WAS EVEN BETTER
KNOWING THAT WE EARNED
THE MONEY OURSELVES.
THAT'S WHAT I CALL
A WIN WIN WIN.
THREE WINS.
A picture of them in the concert appears.
In the kitchen, Melissa holds a baguette and sings YOU ARE THE ONE!
On the tablet, Shamus says OH, MELISSA, WE TOTALLY
ROCKED OUT AT THE CONCERT!
Melissa says WHEN YOU HAVE TO
WORK FOR YOUR MONEY,
YOU APPRECIATE
IT A LOT MORE.
Shamus holds the newspaper and says YOU ARE NOT GOING
TO BELIEVE THIS.
THE CIRCUS IS
COMING TO TOWN!
Melissa says OH!
Shamus says NOW, IT'S A
BIT EXPENSIVE,
BUT WE SHOULD
TOTALLY GO.
WE COULD DO ANOTHER WEEK OR
EVEN TWO WEEKS OF CHORES.
Melissa scowls and says MORE CHORES?
ER, YEAH...
She sings YOU ARE THE
ONE, ONE, ONE.
Shamus says MELISSA, DIDN'T
YOU HEAR ME?
Melissa keeps singing BETTER THAN THE
SUN, SUN, SUN...
Shamus says DID
YOU HEAR ME?
MELISSA!
(music plays)
