A child says, WEE!

T.V.O. Kids and Marble Media, A Blue Ant Media Company, original.

Smoke rises from a grassy field as eleven athletes walk side by side. Each athlete wears black pants and a hooded sweater with the All-Round Champion logo. The logo features curved white text that reads, All-Round Champion. Beneath the text is a drawing of a person holding up their arms.

The athletes dive into a pool, play pickleball on an outdoor court, flip on gymnastics mats, kick a soccer ball, and fall out of a tipping canoe.

[Splashing, whack, thunk, upbeat music plays]

Perdita says, ELEVEN EXCEPTIONAL
ATHLETES ARE COMPETING IN
EACH OTHER'S SPORT FOR THE
TITLE OF ALL-ROUND CHAMPION.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN
ALL-ROUND CHAMPIONHISTORY,
YOU'LL BE COMPETING AS PAIRS!

Text reads, Previously.

Perdita asks, ARE YOU READY TO
GET DOWN AND DERBY?

MISCHA WITH THE HIT!

Wolfe says THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE
TO GET POINTS.

Wolfe slams into another athlete.

[Crash]

An athlete falls on Lexie’s knee. A medic kneels beside Lexie on the roller derby rink.

[Lexie sobs]

Lexie says, THIS IS THE KNEE I BROKE.

Perdita says, 25 POINTS EACH.

[Cheering]

Perdita says, THIS IS OFFICIALLY THE CLOSEST
LEADERBOARD THAT WE'VE EVER HAD.

In an interview, Wolfe says, COMPETITOR WOLFE IS SIGNING OUT.

[Energetic theme music plays]

Backlit athletes leap off a stage. Emily wears her dark hair in a low ponytail. She drops to her side, balances on one arm, and pushes herself back to a standing position. Wil wears a ball cap and plays pickleball. Elli wears her long, dark blonde hair in a high ponytail while dancing. Wolfe has short black hair. He figure skates and spins on the ice. Deliya wears roller skates. She wears a white helmet over her long, dark brown hair. Michael has curly black hair, and he spins a soccer ball on his finger. Braden has short black hair, and he punches a boxing bag. Ariana has long, straight black hair, and she holds a volleyball. Rohan has short black hair and glasses. He plays cricket. Lexie has long, straight blonde hair. She dives off a board into an Olympic pool. Mischa has wavy light brown hair and wears sports sunglasses as she kneels on a paddle board. Title: All-Round Champion.

A person sings, ALWAYS FIRST
TO THE FINISH LINE.
HERE WE GO.

ALWAYS FIRST
TO THE FINISH LINE.

GOTTA KEEP
THE FLAME ON MAX.

I'MA KEEP IT GOIN'
N'TIL THERE AIN'T NOTHIN' LEFT.

ALWAYS FIRST
TO THE FINISH LINE.

I'MA KEEP IT GOIN'
'TIL THERE AIN'T NOTHIN' LEFT.
HERE WE GO.

A bus with a wrap reading All Round Champion drives along a country road, past wheat fields.

[Vehicle engines hum, gentle music plays]

Perdita narrates, AFTER ANOTHER
EARLY MORNING WAKE-UP CALL,

THE ATHLETES ARE READY TO
GLIDE INTO THE FINAL SPORT.

The athletes ride on the bus.

[Gentle music plays]

Lexie says, I CAN'T BELIEVE
THIS IS OUR LAST SPORT.

[Upbeat music plays]

Rohan says, IT'S VERY BITTERSWEET,
'CAUSE NOW YOU GET TO
GO HOME AND SEE YOUR FAMILY,
BUT WE'VE BEEN FAMILY FOR SO LONG,
AND NOW, YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T
SEE EACH OTHER EVERY DAY.

Wolfe says, AND I'M GONNA DEFINITELY MISS
COMPETING WITH ALL OF YOU GUYS.

Elli, wearing a purple touque, says, IT'S SO SAD.

Emily asks, YOU KNOW
WHAT I'M NOT GONNA MISS?

[She laughs]

Emily says, 4:50 A.M. WAKE UP.

[Everyone laughs]

Rohan says, YEAH, IT'S ALSO, LIKE,
THE LAST WEEK TO GET POINTS.

The leaderboard shows Wolfe in first place with 235 points, Braden in second place with 234 points, Rohan in third place with 230 points, followed by Mischa with 224 points, Ariana with 221, Elli with 200, Michael with 197, Wil with 194, Deliya with 189, Emily with 143, and Lexie with 111 points.

Rohan says, IT'S VERY CLOSE
ON THE LEADERBOARD,
AND IT'S ANYBODY'S GAME.

Text reads: Rohan, Cricket.

In an individual interview, Rohan says,
AND I'M GONNA MISS EVERYONE,
BUT IT'D BE NICE TO
GO HOME WITH THE BELT.

Mischa says, I WONDER WHAT SPORT
IT'S GONNA BE.

[Everyone laughs

Wolfe says, THIS SPORT IS ALL ABOUT
ELEGANCE, PRESENTING YOURSELF,
AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY
NOT LEAST, SKATING.

IT'S ICE DANCE,
SO THAT MEANS WOLFE,
YOU'RE THIS WEEK'S
SPORTS LEADER.

OH, MY GOSH, THANK YOU!

[Laughter, cheering, applause]

In an individual interview, the text reads, Wolfe.

Photographs show Wolfe posing on the ice.

[Upbeat music plays, skates scrape]

Wolfe says I'M WOLFE,
I'M FROM SOUTH CAROLINA,
AND I'M AN ICE DANCER.

I'VE BEEN ICE DANCING
FOR FOUR YEARS.

I STARTED OUT
WITH FIGURE SKATING,
AND THEN ONE OF MY COACHES
SUGGESTED ICE DANCE,
AND I ENDED UP LOVING IT.

WHEN I WAS A KID,
I WAS VERY HYPER AND ENERGETIC.

A home video shows Wolfe playing a ukulele and dancing.

Young Wolfe says, I LIKE SINGING TO
THE GIRLS ON THE BEACH.
I LIKE SURFBOARDING.
I LIKE DANCING.

In the present, Wolf says, I WANTED TO DO EVERYTHING.

SO I ENDED UP
GOING TO BALLET SCHOOL.

I'M ALSO A PROFESSIONAL
ACTOR, MODEL, AND SINGER,
AND I LIKE TO
PLAY HOCKEY AS WELL.

An aerial view shows three cars parked in the driveway of a blue and white house on a riverbank.

Wolfe’s parents sit on the couch in the house. His mom, Jin Ah, has shoulder-length blonde hair. She wears a blue dress with a beige wrap. Wolfe's dad, Brian, has grey hair. He wears a green T-shirt with a graphic of a mouse wearing a red cap.

Text reads, Jin Ah and Brian. Wolfe’s parents.

Brian says HE'S PROBABLY DONE MORE
IN 15 YEARS THAN I DID IN 30.

Wolfe fishes in the river.

[Line casts]

Jin Ah says HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE
SURE HE STANDS OUT, BECAUSE OTHERWISE
HE GETS DUMPED ON BY EVERYBODY.

Wolfe says I'M THE YOUNGEST CHILD
OF SIX KIDS, AND I SAW THEM DOING
THINGS THAT I WANTED TO DO.

I JUST HAD TO DO IT BETTER
THAN THEM, BECAUSE I'M ME.

Jin Ah says, THE FIRST TIME
I REALIZED THAT HE HAD SOMETHING
WAS WHEN HE STARTED DANCING
AND THE WHOLE AUDIENCE
JUST STOPPED TALKING,
AND I STARTED CRYING.

THEN I WAS LIKE,
"OKAY. WOLFE HAS IT."

Kitty McGorry, Wolfe’s coach, has short, curly red hair and wears a black blouse.

[Upbeat music continues]

Kitty says WOLFE'S AMAZING.
HE'S INCREDIBLY FLEXIBLE,
VERY DETERMINED.

ANYTHING DIFFICULT,
HE'S WILLING TO TACKLE.

In his private interview, Wolfe says,
I LOVE ICE DANCING A LOT
BECAUSE ICE DANCING IS ALL ABOUT
EXPRESSING YOURSELF
THROUGH YOUR BODY
AND YOUR MOVEMENTS
AND YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS,

AND MOST OF ALL, BEING ABLE TO
TELL A STORY TO YOUR AUDIENCE.

Jin Ah says WHEN WOLFE SKATES,
HE'S ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.

Wolfe skates.

[Skates scrape]

Brian says HE'S JUST GOT
THIS GRACE, THIS FLUIDITY,
AND IT'S JUST A DELIGHT TO WATCH.

Jin Ah says, I'M AWESTRUCK.

In his private interview, Wolfe says, IT'S VERY EXHILARATING
BECAUSE I REALIZE THAT
I'M THE CENTRE OF ATTENTION.
AND I LIKE IT.

[Wolfe chuckles]

Brian says, NATURAL-BORN PERFORMER.

In his private interview, Wolfe says,
I'M KIND OF JUST A REGULAR GUY.
I LOVE LONGBOARDING
AND PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

BUT I HAVE A VERY GRUELLING SCHEDULE.

I HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 4:30 A.M.
TO SKATE FOR THREE HOURS
BEFORE SCHOOL,
AND THEN RIGHT WHEN
I GET OUT OF SCHOOL,
I HAVE TO DO OFF-ICE BALLET
CLASSES AND DANCE CLASSES,
AND THEN I HAVE TO WORK OUT,
AND THEN I JUST GO HOME AND
BARELY HAVE ANY TIME
TO DO HOMEWORK
AND JUST FALL ASLEEP.

Jin-Ah says HE WORKS REALLY HARD.

Brian says, WITH WOLFE'S
TALENT AND AMBITION,
THERE'S NOT MUCH
THAT I CAN'T SEE HIM DOING.

In his private interview, Wolfe says,
I THINK MY FAVOURITE MEDAL
IS GOLD MEDAL, THE LAKE PLACID
ICE DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

A LOT OF GREAT COMPETITORS
FROM AROUND THE WORLD
COME TO LAKE PLACID, AND I'M
VERY THANKFUL TO HAVE COMPETED.

I THINK WHAT MAKES ME,
AS AN ATHLETE, UNIQUE
IS PROBABLY THAT
I DON'T THINK OF MY SPORT
AS THE ONLY THING
I'LL EVER BE ABLE TO DO.

Wolfe sits on the couch and strums a guitar. Jin Ah sits on the couch with her elbow resting on the back while she watches Wolfe play.

In his interview, Wolfe says,
I'M NOT GOING TO PUT
ALL MY EGGS IN ONE BASKET.

LIKE, OBVIOUSLY
I HAVE A LOT IN THIS ONE,
BUT IT'S NOT
THE ONLY BASKET THAT I HAVE.

SO IT TAKES
A LOT OF STRESS OUT OF IT.

Wolfe’s parents sit on the couch.

Jin Ah says, I'M VERY PROUD THAT
HE WAS ABLE TO DO ALL THIS.

Kitty says, THE SKY'S THE LIMIT WITH WOLFE
BECAUSE HE'S SO TALENTED IN SO
MANY DIFFERENT AREAS IN SKATING,
AND HIS GOAL IS TO BE THE BEST.

In his interview, Wolfe says,
WHAT I'M WORKING TOWARDS
IS MAKING IT TO THE OLYMPICS,
BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO BE
AN INSPIRING FIGURE FOR OTHERS
THAT MIGHT WANNA JOIN THE SPORT,
BECAUSE IT'S VERY FUN THING TO DO.

[Skates scrape]

Back on the bus the athletes chat.

[Upbeat music plays]

Wolfe says, I REALLY JUST WANT
YOU GUYS TO ENJOY YOURSELF,
'CAUSE IT IS THE LAST WEEK
THAT WE'RE GONNA BE
DOING A SPORT TOGETHER.

Lexie says, IMAGINE IF WOLFE JUST
SABOTAGED ALL OF US
'CAUSE HE CAN'T GET
ANY POINTS THIS WEEK.

Wolfe says, YEAH, IF I CAN'T GET POINTS,
NEITHER CAN YOU GUYS.

[Everyone laughs, applause]

The bus stops in front of the Arc Ice Plex, and the athletes get off. Inside the arena, Perdita and the athletes stand on the ice in a row.

[Energetic music plays, door clunks]

Perdita says, ATHLETES, WELCOME TO ICE DANCE.

[Everyone cheers]

Text reads, Perdita Felicien. Olympian and World Champion Hurdler.

[Gentle music plays]

Perdita says IT IS TIME TO CLOSE OUT
THIS COMPETITION.

YOU STARTED STRONG.
IT IS TIME TO FINISH STRONGER.

SO LAST WEEK, I KNOW
IT WAS AN EMOTIONAL PODIUM.

A flashback shows the athletes on the podium. Text reads: Week 10.

Perdita says, WOLFE, YOU ARE UP BY ONE POINT.
IT'S NOT A LOT, AND I'M SORRY.

[In the flashback, Wolfe cries]

Perdita says, SO, WOLFE, DESPITE EVERYTHING
THAT YOU WERE FEELING LAST WEEK,
YOU'LL BE IN A POSITION
TO LEAD STRONG?

Wolfe says, OH, YEAH, 100 PERCENT.
I'M GOING INTO THIS WEEK
WITH A REALLY GOOD MINDSET.

LAST WEEK WAS
JUST KINDA LETTING IT OUT,
AND THIS WEEK IS A RESET AND
JUST HAVING A GOOD EXPERIENCE
FOR THE LAST WEEK
THAT WE'RE ALL TOGETHER.

[Upbeat music plays]

Perdita says, EXACTLY.
SO, WHAT IS A HUGE SKILL
THAT YOU NEED FOR ICE DANCING?

Everyone replies ICE SKATING.

Perdita says, ABSOLUTELY. SKATING.
IT'S THE BIGGEST COMPONENT
OF THIS WEEK.

SO, WHO HERE KNOWS
HOW TO ICE SKATE?

Lexie and Elli do not raise their hands.

Perdita says, OKAY!

Ariana says, ALL THE CANADIANS
ARE LIKE, "BING!"

Text reads, Ariana. Beach Volleyball.

In an interview, Ariana says, THE CANADIANS GREW UP
SKATING, AND IT'S JUST PART OF
THE CANADIAN CULTURE, I GUESS.

Text reads, Mischa. Canoe Sprint.

In an interview, Mischa says, THE GRADE THREE FIELD TRIPS
ARE COMING IN CLUTCH.

Text reads, Lexie. Synchro Diving.

In an interview, Lexie says, I'M FROM SURREY,
ENGLAND, AND I'VE NEVER BEEN
ON SKATES BEFORE, SO I AM VERY
NERVOUS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO EXPECT.

[Upbeat music continues]

Perdita says, AND YOU KNOW THAT
THE LEADERBOARD IS SO TIGHT
THAT A MEDAL OF ANY SORT
COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
HOLDING UP THE ALL-ROUND CHAMPIONSHIP BELT
AT THE END OF THIS WEEK, OR NOT.

LIKE, THAT IS HOW SERIOUS THIS WEEK IS.

SO HERE'S THE DEAL.
WE WORK ON SOME FUNDAMENTALS,
GET COMFORTABLE ICE SKATING
SO THAT THE COMPETITION
IS SOMETHING THAT YOU
ARE ABSOLUTELY PROUD OF,
THAT YOU HAVE
ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS.

READY TO LACE UP?

Everyone cheers, YEAH!

[Applause]

Text reads The Basics. Ice Dance.

Wolfe stands by the entrance to the ice rink. The other athletes step onto the ice.

[Upbeat music plays]

Wolfe says, ALL RIGHT, GUYS,
STEP STRAIGHT ON THE ICE.

Wil says, HA-HA!

An athlete grabs the boards and says, OH, NO.

Wolfe says, TODAY ON THE ICE,
WE'LL GIVE THEM A LITTLE
EXERCISE TO GET COMFORTABLE
IN YOUR SKATES, BUT FIRST IS
KIND OF JUST,
LIKE, SKATING AROUND.

[Elli shouts]

Ellie says, GUYS, MY ANKLES HURT ALREADY.

Rohan is interviewed. Text reads, Rohan, Cricket.

Rohan says, WHAT I DOING, BRO?
I AM CANADIAN, BUT IT'S BEEN
A WHILE SINCE I'VE SKATED.

BUT I'M A QUICK LEARNER,
SO I THINK I'LL BE ABLE
TO HOLD MYSELF.

On the ice, Braden falls.

Rohan says, GOOD FALL, BRADEN!

Braden says, THANK YOU.

Braden is interviewed individually. Text reads, Braden, M.M.A.

Braden says, THERE'S A LOT OF PRESSURE
RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE IN MY MIND,
I HAVE TO WIN GOLD
TO GET THE BELT.

LAST WEEK IN ROLLER DERBY,
I COULD BARELY SKATE,
AND I IMPROVED SO MUCH.

SO THAT'S WHAT
I'M HOPING FOR TODAY.

On the ice, Braden falls.

Braden says, OH, SHOOT.

[Lexie squeals]

Lexie says, OH, WHOA, WHOA. HOLD ME!

Lexie is interviewed individually. Text reads, Lexie, Synchro Diving.

Lexie says, STEPPING ONTO THE ICE,
I'M FEELING VERY SCARED.

EVERYONE ELSE HAS
BEEN ON SKATES BEFORE,
SO I'M JUST HOPING DELIYA
AND WOLFE CAN HELP ME OUT.

[Upbeat music plays]

Deliya says, BEND YOUR KNEES
IF YOU'RE GONNA FALL.

Wolfe says, BEND YOUR KNEES, YEAH.

Lexie falls.

[Lexie shouts]

Deliya says, ATTAGIRL.

Lexie says, BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM...

Deliya says, OKAY, HOLD ON. STOP.

Deliya says, READY?
I'M GONNA DO A SPIN.

Deliya spins on the ice.

In an individual interview, Deliya says,
I HAVE HAD OVER A DECADE
OF EXPERIENCE SKATING,
SO WHATEVER HAPPENS,
I AM GOING TO BE
VERY DISAPPOINTED
IF I DON'T GET GOLD.

I WANNA BE PARTNERS WITH ANA.
HERE, WE'LL DO IT HOLDING HANDS.

Deliya says, JUST BECAUSE SHE'S SO GOOD.
SO IT'LL REALLY HELP ME OUT.

Ariana says THAT WAS GOOD!

Deliya says, STOP LIKE THAT.

Ariana says, I'M USED TO HOCKEY STOPS.

Text reads, Ariana. Beach volleyball.

Ariana says, I SKATE, BUT I'VE NEVER SKATED
ON FIGURE SKATES BEFORE.

IN FIGURE SKATES, YOU HAVE A TOE PICK.

On the ice, Wil falls on his stomach.

[Skates scrape, upbeat music plays]

Wil is interviewed individually. Text reads, Wil. Pickleball.

Wil says, I'M DEFINITELY NOT USED
TO THIS TOE PICK ON MY TOE.

On the ice, Wil says, NO, I DIDN'T SAY THAT.
IT'S CALLED A TOE PICK FALL.
THAT HURTS. LIKE, THE MOST
PAINFUL FALL IN SKATING.

The athletes gather around Wolfe on the ice.

Wolfe says I SAW A BUNCH OF YOU
FALLING FROM YOUR TOE PICKS.

A LOT OF YOU, WHEN YOU SKATE,
YOU'RE LIKE, KIND OF...

Wolfe demonstrates pushing off using the toe pick on the skate.

Wolfe continues, THAT'S BECAUSE Y'ALL ARE
PUSHING FROM YOUR TOE PICKS.

BUT RIGHT NOW, I'M JUST
GONNA TAKE YOU THROUGH,
LIKE, THE BASICS OF STROKING.

YOU REALLY WANNA BEND
AND THEN PUSH OFF OF
THIS PART OF YOUR BLADE
INSTEAD OF, LIKE, YOUR TOE.

IT'S EASIER, SAFER,
AND MORE POWERFUL.

Deliya says HE'S SO SMOOTH.

Ariana says, I KNOW, RIGHT?

Wolfe says, ELLI,
DO YOU WANNA START WITH YOU?

Elli skates forward.

Wolfe says THAT WAS GOOD. SEE HOW MUCH
POWER YOU GOT FROM THAT?

In an individual interview, text reads, Elli. Cheer.

Elli says I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP.
MY SKATING SKILLS AREN'T
ON POINT. EVERY TIME I GO, I CAN'T STOP.

I HAVE TO GO AROUND IN CIRCLES.
BUT I'LL IMPROVE.

I WANNA PROVE TO PEOPLE
THAT I AM A GOOD ATHLETE
AND THAT I ACTUALLY
AM MEANT TO BE HERE.

Elli skates back to the other athletes, and Braden puts out his hand to help her stop.

Deliya says, THERE YOU GO.

Elli says, WHAT'S UP, BRADEN?

Braden says, WHAT'S UP?

Wolfe says, ALL RIGHT, MISCHA, YOUR TURN.

[Background chatter]

Mischa skates forward with her arms out.

Wolfe says, NICE, MISCHA.

Wil says, OKAY.

Wolfe says, NICE.

Mischa says, GRACIAS.

[Shouts of encouragement, mellow music plays]

Deliya says, OKAY, ROSH!

Wolfe says, YOUR TURN, MICHAEL.

The athletes say, YEAH!

In his interview, Wolfe says ICE DANCING IS REALLY HARD AS A BEGINNER.

Text reads, Wolfe. Ice Dance.

He continues, USUALLY YOU SPEND,
LIKE, A COUPLE MONTHS TRAINING
BY YOURSELF LEADING UP TO
ACTUAL, LIKE, PARTNERING.

THEY HAVE TO DO ALL OF THAT
WITHIN THREE DAYS.

BUT I'M SURE THAT
THEY'LL BE ABLE TO DO IT.

On the ice, an athlete falls.

[Skates scrape]

On the ice, Wolfe says, ALL RIGHT, GUYS.
SO FOR A LITTLE BIT OF PRACTICE,
WE'RE GONNA FORM A CONGA LINE.

[Cheering]

Someone says, WHAT?

The athletes skate behind Wolfe. Each athlete holds the shoulders of the person in front of them.

[Upbeat music plays]

Wolfe says, I REALLY WANT EVERYONE
TO JUST HAVE FUN
AND GET AS COMFORTABLE
AS POSSIBLE ON THE ICE.

Wil says, YEAH, YEAH.
WOLFE, GO, GO, GO!

Lexie says, NO, NO, NO!

[Shouting]

In an interview, Michael says, THE CONGA LINE WAS SO MUCH FUN.

Text reads, Braden. M.M.A.

In an interview, Braden says,
EVERYONE'S LEANING ONTO
EACH OTHER, BUT WE'RE ALL,

LIKE, TRYING TO KEEP UP
WITHOUT SLIPPING ON EACH OTHER.

Text reads, Mischa. Canoe Sprint.

In a private interview, Mischa says,
THIS IS NOT A CONGA LINE.
THIS IS JUST CHAOS.

An athlete falls on the ice.

[Thump, Perdita laughs]

Perdita narrates, GOOD POINT.
NOW THAT THE ATHLETES ARE
MORE COMFORTABLE IN MOTION,
IT'S TIME TO WORK ON
HOW TO STOP.

[Upbeat music plays]

On the ice, Wolfe says, ALL RIGHT. HAVE ANY OF YOU GUYS
PLAYED RED LIGHT, GREEN LIGHT?

The athletes say, YEAH.

Wolfe says, WE'RE GONNA PUT
A LITTLE TWIST ON IT.

INSTEAD OF RED LIGHT, GREEN LIGHT,
I'M GONNA SAY EITHER
"SKATE" OR "FREEZE."

"FREEZE," JUST DO, LIKE,
A DRAMATIC POSITION.
LIKE, IT'S ICE DANCE.

An athlete asks, LIKE THIS?

Wolfe says, YEAH, MAYBE.
AND... SKATE!

FREEZE!

Lexie glides forward.

Lexie says, OH, NO, I CAN'T FREEZE!

Text reads, Mischa. Canoe Sprint.

In an interview, Mischa says, IT SEEMED LIKE
GREEN LIGHT, YELLOW LIGHT.

Wolfe says, FREEZE!

Mischa narrates, ONLY A COUPLE PEOPLE
ARE ACTUALLY STOPPING.

Mischa falls.

[Grunts]

Wolfe says, SKATE!

-[EXCLAIMS]

Wolfe says, FREEZE!

An athlete slides onto the ice and poses.

She says I COULDN'T STOP.

On the ice, Perdita and Wolfe stand in front of the athletes.

[Upbeat music plays]

Perdita says, MAKE SOME NOISE
IF YOU HAD SOME FUN.

[Everyone cheers, applause]

Perdita says, WOLFE,
EXCELLENT JOB ON THE BASICS.

Wolfe says, YOU GUYS ARE
ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD
FOR HAVING, LIKE,
JUST STARTED SKATING.

DELIYA'S-- YOU KNOW,
SHE'S SKATED BEFORE.

Perdita asks, WHO REALLY WANTS TO PARTNER
WITH DELIYA THIS WEEK?

Someone says, BING!

Everyone but Deliya raises their hand.

Perdita says, EVERYBODY.
DELIYA, YOU'RE A HOT COMMODITY.

Deliya says I FEEL SO LOVED.

Perdita says LISTEN, YOU GOT
THE BASICS DOWN.
YOU GOTTA TURN THAT
INTO DANCING.

WHAT'S GONNA BE THE BIGGEST
CHALLENGE AHEAD, YOU THINK?

Wolfe says, I THINK THE BIGGEST
CHALLENGE IS PROBABLY GONNA
BE JUST PUSHING THROUGH
THAT SENSE OF, "OH, I DON'T WANT
PEOPLE TO THINK, LIKE, THIS OR THAT
OF ME WHEN I DO THIS."

YOU JUST HAVE TO, LIKE,
REALLY PUT EVERYTHING OUT THERE
AND JUST EXPRESS YOUR EMOTIONS.

Perdita says, WE'RE NOT GONNA
TALK TEAMS TODAY,
BUT WE'RE GONNA
TALK TEAMS TOMORROW.

'CAUSE THAT'S WHEN
THE REAL TRAINING BEGINS.
SO GO TO YOUR DORMS,
GET SOME REST.

I'LL CATCH YOU TOMORROW.
GOOD JOB, Y'ALL.

Wil says, OH, SORRY, SORRY, SORRY.

Lexie says, IT'S ALL RIGHT,
JUST DON'T GRAB ON TO ME.

The sun rises in a clear blue sky.

[Upbeat music plays]

The athletes board their bus and go to the ice rink.

Perdita narrates, IT'S THE FIRST DAY
OF TRAINING,
AND OUR ATHLETES ARE READY TO
TACKLE THAT SLIPPERY QUESTION
OF WHO THEIR PARTNERS
WILL BE THIS WEEK.

Deliya says, THIS IS OUR LAST SPORT AND,
LIKE, OUR LAST TIME COMPETING.
REALLY TRYING TO JUST
SAVOUR EVERYTHING THIS WEEK.

Braden says, THIS IS ALSO THE LAST WEEK
THAT WE'LL HAVE PARTNERS.

Wil says, OH, YEAH.

Michael says, I KNOW.
AND NOT KNOWING OUR PARTNERS
IS STRESSING ME OUT.

IT COULD REALLY, LIKE,
MAKE OR BREAK THE COMPETITION.
IT'S SO CLOSE NOW
ON THE LEADERBOARD.

Wil says, AND ESPECIALLY
ON THE LAST WEEK,
YOU WANNA HAVE THOSE
TRAINING DAYS WITH YOUR PARTNER
SO YOU CAN GET USED TO 'EM.
-
Wolfe says, AND THEN HAVE A GOOD TIME!

Michael cheers; OH, YEAH!

Wil says, LET'S GO!

[Upbeat music plays]

Perdita stands in front of the athletes on the ice.

Perdita says, GOOD MORNING.
MAKE SOME NOISE IF
YOU PACKED YOUR A-GAME.

[Cheering, applause]

Text reads, Perdita Felicien. Olympian and World Champion Hurdler.

Perdita says, YES!
SO ICE DANCING
AND FIGURE SKATING
ARE SAME BUT DIFFERENT, RIGHT?

WITH ICE DANCING,
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE EXPRESSION,
YOUR ARTISTIC LICENSE
THAT YOU CAN HAVE.

YOU WANNA MAKE THE JUDGES
AND THE AUDIENCE FEEL SOMETHING.

BY THE WAY, WHERE'S WOLFE?

Wolfe skates onto the ice.

[Wolves howl]

Perdita says, OH! THERE HE IS!

Wolfe falls on one knee and slides past the athletes.

[Skates scrape]

Voices exclaim, WOW!

Wil says, GOOD JOB, WOLFE!

Perdita says, WELL DONE.

YOU LOOK GOOD OUT THERE.

WOLFE, WHAT DO YOU
LOVE ABOUT ICE DANCE?

Wolfe says, THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS
THAT YOU CAN'T EXPRESS WITH WORDS,
AND WITH ICE DANCE,
I CAN EXPRESS THOSE.

AND I REALLY LOVE PERFORMING AND
KIND OF, LIKE, BEING IN THE SPOTLIGHT.

Perdita says, WE CAN TELL.

[Everyone laughs]

Perdita says, YEAH. WE KNOW.

YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE A REALLY
GREAT CANVAS TO START WITH
IN OUR TEN ATHLETES,
BUT YOU'RE NOT ALONE.

YOU HAVE A SUPERSTAR TO HELP US
CLOSE OUT THE VERY LAST WEEK.

THIS ATHLETE IS
A THREE-TIME US CHAMPION.

THEY HAVE FOUR WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIP MEDALS
AND TWO OLYMPIC MEDALS.

ATHLETES,
LET'S GIVE AN ALL-ROUND WELCOME TO MADISON HUBBELL!

[Cheering]

Text reads, Madison Hubbell. 2-Time Olympic Medalist. Photographs show Madison performing on the ice. A photograph shows Madison wearing an Olympic medal from the Beijing 2022 Olympics.

[Cheering]

Wolfe is open-mouthed.

Perdita says, SO GRACEFUL, SO ELEGANT.

Madison skates to the athletes and high-fives them.

Madison says, HI!

Text reads, Deliya. Roller Derby.

In an interview, Deliya says, OH, MY GOSH,
I KNOW WHO MADISON IS.
I WATCHED HER IN THE OLYMPICS.

I HAVE ALL THIS
FIGURE SKATING EXPERIENCE.
HOPEFULLY I CAN IMPRESS HER.

On the ice, Perdita says, HI, MADISON.

Madison says, HI.

Madison skates to Perdita and Wolfe. She stands on Wolfe’s left.

[Upbeat music continues]

Perdita says, SO HONOURED TO MEET YOU.

WHEN YOU'RE ON THE ICE,
WHAT DOES IT TAKE
TO IMPRESS THE JUDGES
AND THE AUDIENCE?

Madison says, FIRST AND FOREMOST,
I THINK IT'S THE CONNECTION
WITH YOUR PARTNER.
THAT'S THE FOUNDATION
FOR WHAT YOU'RE CREATING.

AND THEN, OF COURSE,
YOU HAVE TO IMPRESS WITH
YOUR BODY MOVEMENTS
AND A CLEAN PERFORMANCE.

Perdita says, WE NEED TO SEE IT
TO BELIEVE IT. RIGHT?

The athletes say, YEAH!

[Applause]

Perdita says, COME ON, YOU TWO.
WE GOTTA SEE
THE SPORT IN ACTION.

[Orchestral music plays]

Wolfe and Madison dance on the ice.

Text reads, Michael. Teqball.

In an interview, Michael says, WATCHING WOLFE
DANCE WITH MADISON
IS SUPER IMPRESSIVE.

THEY'VE NEVER REALLY
CHOREOGRAPHED ANYTHING BEFORE,
BUT THEY'RE SO IN SYNC.

Text reads, Mischa. Canoe Sprint.

In an interview, Mischa says,
WOLFE ON THE ICE IS, LIKE,
THE MOST MAJESTIC CREATURE.

HIS LINES ARE SO CLEAN,
AND IT'S JUST LIKE I'M WATCHING
ICE DANCE ON THE OLYMPICS.

Text reads, Deliya. Roller Derby.

In an interview, Deliya says,
MADISON IS, LIKE, A GODDESS.
I DO HAVE TO GIVE IT TO HER,
SKATING THAT WELL
AND PREGNANT IS VERY IMPRESSIVE.

Perdita says, TA-DA!

[Cheering, applause]

Perdita says THAT WILL BE YOU IN TWO DAYS.

Madison says, ABSOLUTELY.

[Laughing]

Perdita says, ABSOLUTELY.

OKAY, LET'S TALK ABOUT THE WORD
OF THE WEEK FROM EACH OF YOU.

WHO THEY NEED TO BE,
WHAT THEY NEED TO EMBODY
TO REALLY MAKE IT
THROUGH THE WEEK.

Wolfe says, THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT
WORDS THAT I COULD CHOOSE FROM.

Cursive writing on a chalkboard reads, Emotion. Beneath the word is a drawing of an ice skate with the word Skate beside it.

Wolfe says, ONE THAT REALLY STOOD
OUT TO ME WAS JUST "EMOTION,"
BECAUSE YOU REALLY
HAVE TO EXPRESS
AND MAKE THE AUDIENCE
FEEL SOMETHING.

Perdita asks, MADISON, FOR YOU?

Madison says, "CONNECTION."
THAT CONNECTION WITH A PARTNER,
WITH EYE CONTACT, WITH PHYSICAL
TOUCH, AND FINALLY, WITH YOUR
AUDIENCE AND YOUR JUDGES.

Perdita asks, WHERE SHOULD WE START
WITH TRAINING?

Madison says I THINK WE SHOULD
TAKE IT OFF-ICE.

Perdita says, ALL RIGHT,
LET'S GET READY.

The athletes cheer, YEAH!

[Applause]

An athlete says, NOT SO FAST!

Neon purple text reads The Training. Ice Dance.

[Upbeat music plays]

On the second floor of the arena, Madison and Wolfe stand in front of the athletes on an oval indoor racetrack. The centre of the track opens to the ice rink below.

Madison says, FIRST AND FOREMOST,
CONNECTION IS GOING TO BE SUPER
IMPORTANT, AND THAT CONNECTION
COMES WITH YOUR PARTNER.

IT'S THE TACTILE OF YOUR HANDS
AND WHERE YOU'RE CONNECTED.

I WANT YOU TO USE YOUR EYES FOR
OBSERVATION AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

I WANT TO LOOK AT HIS HAND,
MAKE CONTACT.

I MIGHT EVEN LOOK HIM IN THE EYE
TO MAKE SURE WE'RE READY TO GO.

Madison takes Wolfe’s hand.

[Playful music plays]

Madison says, AND THEN WHEN I COME BACK
THROUGH CENTRE, I'LL LOOK AT HIM
IN THE EYES BEFORE TURNING
TO THE OTHER DIRECTION.

THIS IS HELPFUL ESPECIALLY
LEARNING NEW THINGS,
'CAUSE YOU'LL SEE THAT LOOK
OF TERROR IN YOUR PARTNER'S FACE
IF THEY'RE NOT QUITE READY
TO MAKE THE NEXT MOVE.

[Laughter]

Madison says, OKAY, SO WHOEVER'S
KIND OF STANDING NEAR YOU,
GO AHEAD AND PARTNER UP.

Elli and Rohan high-five.

[Hands slap, they both laugh]

Madison says, SO THE PARTNER ON THE LEFT
WOULD BE TECHNICALLY THE LEADER.

Emily says I CAN'T BE LEADING.

Madison says WOLFE WOULD OFFER ME HIS HAND FIRST.

Wolfe holds out his hand.

[Madison gasps]

Madison says, SO KIND.

AND THEN I WOULD PLACE
MY HAND IN HIS HAND, OKAY?

Mischa says, OH, NO, I'M UP. PALM UP.

Madison says, AND THEN WE'RE GOING
TO SPREAD OUT JUST A LITTLE BIT
SO THAT WE CAN MAKE
A NICE, LONG LINE BETWEEN US.

SO, WE BEND,
AND HE TAKES A STEP TOWARDS ME.
SO WE START FEELING THAT
CONNECTION BETWEEN OUR HANDS.

OKAY, LET'S TRY A DIFFERENT
PARTNER. SO MUSICAL CHAIRS.

Michael says, BRADEN!

Braden says, TURN AROUND!

Madison says, I'LL TURN
TOWARDS MY PARTNER.
WOLFE WILL TURN TOWARDS ME.
HE'LL OFFER ME THE OTHER HAND.

[Elli laughs]

Madison says, YOU CAN TAKE A SECOND
TO LEAN INTO EACH OTHER AND LEAN AWAY.

Lexie says, I'M SO GLAD
I'M NOT LEAD FOR THIS ONE.

Text reads, Madison Hubbell. 2-Time Olympic Medalist.

In a private interview, Madison says,
IT'S PRETTY NORMAL WHEN
YOU FIRST START DOING ICE DANCE
AND YOU'RE RELATING
TO ANOTHER PERSON,
AND I'M ASKING THEM TO
LOOK IN EACH OTHER'S EYES.

THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF THAT
UNCOMFORTABLE GIGGLING.
IT'S SOMETHING NEW.

[Laughter]

Text reads, Elli. Cheer.

In a private interview, Elli says,
THIS IS JUST SO FUNNY BECAUSE
IT'S JUST A VERY AWKWARD POSITION
THAT WE'VE NEVER REALLY
BEEN IN BEFORE.

On the track, Rohan leans towards Braden.

Rohan says, IN. OUT.
WHY ARE YOU BENDING?

Madison says, LET'S TAKE IT TO THE ICE.

[Cheering, applause]

On the ice, the athletes skate into a row in front of Madison and Wolfe.

[Laughter, upbeat music plays]

Perdita narrates, IT'S TIME
TO PICK THE TEAMS.

AND BECAUSE WOLFE,
AS THE LAST SPORT LEADER,
DOESN'T HAVE ANY
MORE CHANCES TO COMPETE,
HE GETS TO HELP MADISON
FIGURE OUT THE BEST PARTNERS.

Wolfe watches the athletes practice skating.

Wolfe says, THAT'S NICE.

Perdita narrates, BUT FIRST,
THEY MUST EVALUATE THE ATHLETES
IN SKATES ON THE ICE.

In a private interview, Madison says,
NOW I'M INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT
SOME RANDOM PARTNERSHIPS
AND SEEING HOW PEOPLE INTERACT
WITH EACH OTHER.

On the ice, Wolfe and Madison stand by the boards as the athletes practice.

Wolfe says, I WANT ICE DANCE
TO BE PORTRAYED WELL,
SO I WANT TO PICK OUT THE BEST
TEAMS AND THE MOST FAIR TEAMS.

The athletes skate around the rink in pairs.

[Background chatter]

Madison says, IN ICE DANCE THERE'S USUALLY
SOME SIZE DIFFERENTIATION
THAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO
TRY AND DO SPINS, LIFTS.

BUT IT'S NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY.

I THINK IT HAS A LOT MORE TO DO
WITH THE PERSONALITIES MATCHING.

Wolfe says, YEAH, 100%.

Madison says, I THINK THERE ARE
A FEW REALLY STRONG SKATERS.

DELIYA STANDS OUT, OF COURSE.

MAYBE THE STRATEGY IS TO PLACE
HER WITH A PARTNER THAT'S A
LITTLE BIT LESS COMFORTABLE
AND SEE HOW THEY CAN HELP
EACH OTHER.

Wolfe says, EVEN THE PLAYING FIELD
A LITTLE BIT.

On the ice, Michael skates with Elli.

By the boards, Madison says, THE HEIGHT OF
MICHAEL IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING
TO BE CONSIDERED.

MAYBE PUTTING HIM WITH SOMEONE
A LITTLE BIT STRONGER
AND A LITTLE BIT TALLER
WOULD BE GREAT.

Wolfe asks, SO WHAT DO
YOU THINK ABOUT ROHAN?

Madison says, HE SEEMS EXCITED
TO LEARN AND, I MEAN, HIS HEIGHT,
IT WORKS WITH REALLY MOST OF
THE GIRLS.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT BRADEN?

Wolfe says, BRADEN'S
STRUGGLING A LITTLE BIT,
BUT I THINK AFTER
THESE TWO DAYS OF TRAINING,
HE'S GOING TO TURN OUT
REALLY WELL.

HE ALWAYS SEEMS TO
LIKE SWITCH IT UP
LAST DAY ON COMPETITION
AND BECOME REALLY GOOD.

AND THEN MISCHA'S ALWAYS BEEN
REALLY GOOD AT COMMUNICATING
AND TALKING WITH HER PARTNER.
SHE'S REALLY GOOD AT ADJUSTING.

WHAT ABOUT WIL?

Madison says, HE SEEMS LIKE
A VERY SWEET PERSON,
BUT MAYBE NOT VERY ASSERTIVE.

IT MAKES IT HARD TO BE
PUT INTO THE LEADING POSITION.

Wolfe says, HE'S USUALLY
NOT AS HESITANT,
BUT I THINK SINCE HE'S MORE OUT
OF HIS COMFORT ZONE THIS TIME,
HE'S A LITTLE BIT MORE HESITANT.

Madison says, AND WE HAVE
AN UNEVEN NUMBER
OF FEMALES AND MALES.

SO THE QUESTION IS, DO WE DO
FOUR TRADITIONAL ICE DANCE TEAMS
AND ONE SAME GENDER, OR DO
WE REALLY TRY TO MIX IT ALL UP?

On the ice, Deliya spins with Lexie.

[Skates scrape]

Lexie says, AH! AH!

Deliya asks, YOU GOOD?

I THINK WE'RE ON
THE SAME PAGE WITH THE TEAMS.
LET'S GO TELL 'EM.

Wolfe says, YES.

Madison and Wolfe skate back to centre ice. The athletes line up in a row.

[Upbeat music plays]

SO THE FIRST PARTNERSHIP
WHEN IT COMES TO COMPETITION
WILL BE DELIYA, AND HER PARTNER...

LEXIE.

Lexie says, OKAY.

Deliya says WE GOT THIS.

Lexie and Deliya pose together on the ice. Lexie stands behind Deliya, who is kneeling. They outstretch their arms and hold hands. Text reads, Lexie. Deliya.

[Chiming, upbeat music plays]

In an interview, Lexie says, BECAUSE SHE HAS BEEN
A FIGURE SKATER,
I'M REALLY EXCITED
TO WORK WITH HER.

I THINK WE ALL
KIND OF WANTED DELIYA.

In an interview, Deliya says, I'VE BEEN WAITING
FOR THIS WEEK A LONG TIME.

I FEEL LIKE IT'S JUST THE ONE
I REALLY THOUGHT
I COULD GET POINTS AT,
BUT I THINK IT'S JUST
GOING TO BE REALLY FRUSTRATING
BECAUSE I DON'T THINK
LEXIE AND I ARE GOING TO WIN.

On the ice, Wolfe says, THE NEXT TEAM IS
GOING TO BE WIL AND MISCHA.

Rohan says, OH!

Wil says, OKAY!

Mischa and Wil pose. Mischa sits in Wil's arms and holds her right arm up.

In an interview, Mischa says, I'M ACTUALLY
REALLY STOKED TO BE WITH WIL.

OUT OF ALL THE SPORTS,
THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE
THAT I THINK HIS POSITIVITY
AND HIS ADAPTABILITY TO
CRITICISM WILL REALLY HELP US.

On the ice, Madison says, THE NEXT TEAM
IS ELLI AND BRADEN.

Voices say, OH.

Braden and Elli pose. They stand with their sides to the camera and their arms outstretched.

In an interview, Elli says,
I DON'T REALLY WANT
TO BE PARTNERED WITH BRADEN
BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE
HE'S PRETTY COMPETITIVE
GOING INTO THIS WEEK,
AND I FEEL LIKE IF
HE'S IN COMPETITION MODE TOO
EARLY, IT JUST WOULDN'T BE FUN.

In an interview, Braden says,
I DON'T WANT
TO BE PARTNERED WITH ELLI,
JUST BECAUSE I'VE ALREADY
BEEN PARTNERED WITH HER,
SO I WANT SOMEONE NEW.

A flashback shows Braden and Elli falling out of a canoe. Text reads: Week 1.

[Splashing]

Braden says, WELL, MAKE THE BEST OF IT.

In the present, on the ice, Wolfe says, ARIANA AND... MICHAEL.

Vocies shout, OH.

Rohan says I KNEW IT!

Ariana and Michael pose. Ariana sits in Michael's arms and holds up her right arm.

[Background chatter]

In an interview, Ariana says,
I'M HAPPY TO BE PARTNERED
WITH MICHAEL JUST BECAUSE
WE HAVE A REALLY GOOD RELATIONSHIP,
AND I THINK THAT
WE HAVE THAT CONNECTION,
THAT THEY SAY IS SO
IMPORTANT IN ICE DANCE
AND I FEEL LIKE
THAT GIVES US AN EDGE.

On the ice, Madison says, AND THAT LEAVES
OUR LAST TEAM BEING ROHAN
AND EMILY.

[Applause]

Emily and Rohan pose side by side.
In an interview, Rohan says, ME AND EMILY
--GET ALONG REALLY WELL.

I'M JUST HOPING THAT
SHE IS ABLE TO
KEEP UP WITH WHAT
I'M TRYING TO DO,
AND WE'RE ABLE
TO COMMUNICATE WELL ENOUGH,
BECAUSE I REALLY AM TRYING
TO GIVE IT EVERYTHING THIS WEEK,
AND I HOPE SHE'S WILLING
TO DO THAT TOO.

On the ice, Madison says,
SO WE'RE GOING TO WORK ON
THE SYNCHRONICITY
AND ALSO SOME LIFTS,
SOME TRICKS,
THINGS THAT WE'RE GOING
TO PUT INTO OUR PERFORMANCE.

ALL RIGHT.
LET'S GET TO WORK.

[Upbeat music plays]

Wolfe says, YEAH.

The athletes say, YEAH!

[Applause]

On the ice, Deliya and Lexie stand in front of Wolfe.

[Upbeat music plays]

Wolfe says, BE PATIENT WITH ME,
'CAUSE, DELIYA,
I KNOW THAT YOU ALREADY
KNOW SOME OF THIS.

WE'RE JUST GOING
TO START HAND IN HAND,
JUST LIKE LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT.

Text reads, Wolfe. Ice Dance.

In an interview, Wolfe says, LEXIE AND DELIYA.

I THINK THE BIGGEST THING IS
GOING TO JUST BE FOR DELIYA
TO KIND OF WAIT FOR LEXIE
AND MATCH HER LEVEL,
AND LEXIE TRYING TO
RAISE HERSELF UP TO KIND
OF MEET DELIYA IN THE MIDDLE.

Text reads, Deliya. Roller Derby.

In an interview, Deliya says, WORKING
WITH LEXIE IS HARD.
I'M NOT GOING TO LIE.

JUST BECAUSE OUR SKILL SET
IS SO DIFFERENT.

Wolfe says, GOOD,
THAT WAS GOOD.

Deliya holds Lexie’s hands and stands behind her as they turn a corner. Lexie falls.

[Skates scrape]

Wolfe says, OOF.

Lexie says, OR NOT.

Text reads, Lexie. Synchro Diving.

In an interview, Lexie says, BUT SHE DOES HAVE
TO REMEMBER, LIKE,
IT IS MY SECOND TIME ON SKATES.

On the ice, Deliya stands with her arms crossed.

Madison stands in front of Rohan and Emily.

Madison demonstrates how to skate forward and then glide backwards.

Madison says, COUNT YOURSELVES IN.
YOU GO LEFT. RIGHT.
AND THEN YOU CAN PUT
YOUR TWO FEET ON THE GROUND
AND TURN BOTH BACKWARDS.

Rohan says, ONE, TWO.
THREE. FOUR.

Madison says, GOOD.

Rohan says, AND NOW--
WHY DID YOU KEEP--

[They laugh]

Text reads, Emily. Breaking.

In an interview, Emily says, I THINK
MY CONNECTION WITH ROHAN...
LIKE WE'RE FRIENDS,
BUT NOT LIKE CLOSE CLOSE,
LIKE, YOU KNOW,
MICHAEL AND ARIANA.

BUT I THINK WE'LL ADAPT
TO EACH OTHER.
AND I THINK WE'LL DO GOOD.

On the ice, Emily skates backwards. Rohan hurries back and skates beside her.

Emily asks, WHY ARE YOU NOT COMING WITH ME?

Rohan says, CAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW
YOU WERE GOING

Emily says, THAT WAS THE PLAN.

Rohan says, WE WENT IN
THE SAME DIRECTION, THOUGH.
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TURN THAT WAY
AND SKATE BACKWARDS.

Emily says, OH...

Rohan says, OH, MY...

Text reads, Rohan, Cricket.

In an interview, Rohan says, EMILY AND I,
IT'S LIKE BROTHER-SISTER
AND LIKE WE'RE
ALWAYS BICKERING OVER
THE SMALLEST THINGS,
BUT WE'RE STILL LAUGHING.

On the ice, Rohan and Emily hold hands and skate backwards.

[Emily laughs. Upbeat music continues]

In an interview, Rohan says,
AND I THINK THAT'S
REALLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE LIKE,
IF YOU'RE HAVING FUN,
IT STILL HELPS YOU TO IMPROVE.

[Rohan and Emily imitate airplane engines]

On the ice, Wil and Mischa stand in front of Wolfe.

Wolfe says, THE MOHAWK
IS A STEP WHERE YOU STEP WITH
YOUR RIGHT FOOT, YOU TURN OUT,
AND THEN ONCE YOU PLACE
YOUR LEFT FOOT DOWN,
TURN AND THEN POINT.

Text reads, Wolfe. Ice Dance.

In an interview, Wolfe says, MISCHA AND WIL ARE
A LOT OF FUN TO WORK WITH.

THEY BOTH ACCEPT CONSTRUCTIVE
CRITICISM VERY WELL,
AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WILL
DEFINITELY HELP THEM
IN THIS COMPETITION.

On the ice, Wolfe says, GOOD JOB.

OKAY, WIL THE ONLY THING
I'D SAY IS THAT
WHAT YOU WERE DOING WAS
YOU'RE KIND OF JUST LIKE THIS.

Wolfe stands behind Wil and takes his hands.

Wolfe says, AND THEN THAT'S WHY LIKE
SHE KIND OF GOT AWAY FROM YOU.

Wolfe says, YOU WANT IT TO FEEL LIKE THIS.

Text reads, Wil. Pickleball.

In an interview, Wil says,
I AM SUPER HAPPY
TO BE PARTNERED WITH MISCHA.
SHE'S DEFINITELY
IN THE TOP THREE PEOPLE THAT
I WANTED TO BE PARTNERED WITH.

SO I THINK IT'S GONNA BE
A GOOD WEEK
AND HOPEFULLY
WE CAN MAKE PODIUM.

On the ice, Wil and Mischa hold hands and skate past Wolfe.

[Skates scrape]

Wolfe counts, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR.

Wolfe says, GOOD JOB.

Mischa cheers, YAY!

Wolfe says, YOU GUYS
ARE REALLY GOOD.

On the ice, Braden and Elli hold hands.

Braden says, WHENEVER YOU'RE READY.

Elli skates backwards. Braden holds her hands and goes down on one knee in front of her.

Madison says SO SHE GETS IN HER SPIRAL
AND THEN YOU GO DOWN. YES!

Elli says, OH, MY GOODNESS!

Text reads, Madison Hubbell. 2-Time Olympic Medalist.

In an interview, Madison says,
BRADEN AND ELLI ARE
AN INTERESTING PAIRING
BECAUSE TRADITIONALLY
THE FEMALE SKATER
IS GOING TO BE THE FOLLOWER.

SHE'S GOING TO BE OF
SMALLER STATURE THAN THE MALE.

On the ice, Madison asks, DO YOU WANT TO TRY THE LIFT? THE BABY?

Elli says I THINK YEAH.

Madison says WE'RE GOING TO DO IT
IN STAND STILL FIRST.

Text reads, Elli. Cheer.

Elli says, I THINK THAT SINCE IN CHEER WE HAVE LIKE CHOREOGRAPHY.

I'LL BE ABLE TO PICK UP ON
THE ICE DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY
PRETTY EASILY,
AND I'M USED TO LIFTING OTHER
PEOPLE IN THE AIR
IF I HAVE ENOUGH BALANCE
TO DO IT.

A flashback shows an athlete twirling in the air during a cheer routine. Text reads, Week 5.

[Upbeat music plays]

On the ice, Madison explains,
SO WE'RE TRYING TO BE NICE
AND STABLE ON OUR FEET,
A LITTLE BIT OF A LIGHT
KNEE BEND ALL THE TIME.
SO EVEN WHEN YOU PICK HER UP,
PICK-- PICK HER UP.
IT'S IT IS AUTOMATIC FOR ME.

Text reads, reads, Braden. M.M.A.

In an interview, Braden says,
BUT LIKE JUST BECAUSE I'M A GUY,
IT DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE TO LEAD.

I GET THROWN
ALL THE TIME IN M.M.A.,
SO I'M KIND OF USED
TO GETTING LIFTED.

I'M A PRO ATHLETE.
I DON'T NEED EGO,
I JUST NEED A WIN.

On the ice, Ellie unsteadily picks Braden up and puts him down.

Elli says, WHOA.
WE EVEN HAVE COUNTS.
OH, MY GOSH.

[They laugh]

On the ice, Wolfe watches Ariana and Michael skate away from him.

Ariana says, ONE, TWO. DOWN.

Michael reaches for Ariana’s leg, and they both fall.

[Laughter, upbeat music plays]

Text reads, Michael. Teqball.

In an interview, Michael says,
I GOT PAIRED WITH ARIANA
AND I'M SUPER HAPPY WITH THAT.
WE HAVE A GOOD CONNECTION
AND I THINK
WE'RE AT A PRETTY EVEN
KIND OF SKILL LEVEL.

On the ice, Wolfe says, MICHAEL,
MAKE SURE YOU BEND DOWN
SO THAT SHE'S ABLE TO--
GIVE ME YOUR HAND.

Michael says, PUSH OFF.

Wolfe says, PUSH DOWN.
YEAH. LIKE THAT.
AND THEN. THREE, TWO.

In an interview, Michael says,
I DIDN'T THINK WE WOULD END UP
DOING LIFTS IN ICE DANCE.

I STILL DON'T KNOW IF
WE'RE GOING TO GET IT ON ICE,
BUT HOPEFULLY WE CAN GET IT.

On the ice, Ariana counts, THREE, TWO, ONE.

Michael picks Ariana up.

Wolfe says, DON'T JERK IT.

Ariana says, DOWN. UP. YAY!

Wolfe says, GOOD JOB.

Ariana says THAT WAS SO GOOD.
THANK YOU.

Wolfe high-fives Michael and Ariana.

[Hands slap]

Later, in the locker room, Madison and Wolfe sit on a bench facing the athletes.

[Gentle music plays]

Madison says, GREAT JOB
ON YOUR FIRST DAY, EVERYONE.

YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN IN THIS
COMPETITION FOR QUITE A WHILE,
AND I KNOW YOU GUYS
HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM YOUR HOME,
SO DO ANY OF YOU HAVE MAYBE SOME
THOUGHTS OF WHAT IT'S BEEN LIKE?

A photograph shows younger Braden posing with his fraternal twin brother. A second photograph shows them wearing multiple metals.

Braden says, I'VE NEVER BEEN AWAY
FROM MY TWIN BROTHER
FOR MORE THAN A DAY,
SO IT'S KIND OF LIKE WEIRD
NOT HAVING HIM AROUND BECAUSE
WE DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER.

I REALLY MISS HIM,
AND I THINK LIKE WHEN I GET HOME
I'M GOING TO CHERISH,
LIKE, HIS TIME A LOT MORE.

Michael says, YEAH, IT'S KIND
OF NICE HAVING SOME TIME AWAY.
I THINK WE'VE ALL REALIZED
THAT WHILE WE'RE HERE.

Rohan says, YEAH, IT'S BEEN WEIRD.
I'VE NEVER BEEN AWAY FROM
MY PARENTS FOR MORE THAN LIKE,
FOUR DAYS EITHER.

A photograph shows younger Rohan smiling as he lies snuggled with his parents.

Rohan says, SO IT'S BEEN INTERESTING
WITH JUST HAVING LIKE
TEN PEOPLE YOUR AGE, LIKE SIBLINGS,
IT MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER
BECAUSE YOU'RE NEVER BORED.

Lexie says, I'VE ACTUALLY
MISSED MY PARENTS MORE THAN
I ACTUALLY THOUGHT I WOULD.
I'M IN A WHOLE
DIFFERENT CONTINENT.

In a flashback, Lexie looks at a smartphone screen. Text reads: Week 4.

Lexie says I MISS YOU.

Lexie’s dad says I MISS YOU VERY MUCH.

[Lexie laughs]

Lexie says I LOVE MY DAD.

[Zapping]

In the present, Lexie sits in the locker room.

Lexie says, BUT I HAVE REALLY
ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE.

Wolfe says, WELL YOU GUYS ARE JUST
FAMILY TO ME AT THIS POINT
AND IT'S GONNA BE HARD LEAVING.

In a flashback, the athletes gathered around a kitchen island. They tap chicken fingers in a toast.

They say, YEAH!

[Zapping]

In the present, Madison says,
OKAY, SO I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE
HAD A REALLY LONG TRAINING DAY,
SO IT'S TIME TO GO HOME
AND GET SOME GOOD REST.

AND I WILL SEE YOU GUYS BRIGHT
AND EARLY ON THE ICE TOMORROW.

[Upbeat music plays, applause]

Elli cheers, WOOHOO!

Wil says, OUR LAST TRAINING.

Rohan says, THANK YOU, MADISON.

Wil says, THANK YOU.

Perdita narrates, AFTER
A LONG DAY OF TRAINING,
THE ATHLETES ARE STARTING
TO FEEL THE STRAIN.

The athletes ride on the bus.

[Upbeat music plays, engine hums]

On the bus, Ariana says,
ME AND MICHAEL WERE FEELING
THE PRESSURE A LITTLE BIT,
BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE
EVERYONE'S KIND OF MAD THAT
WE GOT PARTNERED TOGETHER
BECAUSE WE ARE
REALLY GOOD SKATERS, I GUESS.

Wolfe says, AFTER SEEING EVERYONE SKATE,
I TRULY DO THINK THAT
EVERYONE HAS A EQUAL SHOT
AT GETTING GOLD THIS WEEK.

IT JUST REALLY COMES DOWN
TO HOW YOU MAKE YOUR ROUTINE.
SO HAVE FUN!

Text reads, Next Time…

On the ice, Wolfe says, MAKE SURE TO LAND
ON YOUR TOE PICK.

He narrates, SOME TEAMS ARE REALLY STRUGGLING.

In pairs, the athletes fall on the ice.

[Yelps, thumps]

Video footage shows snippets of the pairs performing their routines.

Madison says, STARTING THE SKATE
PRETTY FAST OUT OF THE GATE.
WITH GOOD SYNCHRONICITY.

Perdita says THE ALL-ROUND CHAMPION IS...

[Cheering]
[Energetic theme music plays]
