(Happy music plays)
An animation shows traffic travelling through a city. People are gathered outside houses and a pizza parlour. A pink school bus scatters stars as it passes by a grassy hill.
Text reads, “TVO kids and ABC presents”.
Children and their pets run to the hill and climb onto the title which they read, BIG WORDS, SMALL STORIES.
A person reads the episode title.
They read, WORK IT OUT.
Text reads, written by Tim Bain. Oleander jumps onto a couch and blows a horn.
She says, RISE AND SHINE!
EXERCISE TIME!
Oleander’s parents jog into the room. Her pet salamander, Sally, joins with sleepy eyes.
Sally asks, WHAT'S HAPPENING?
WHO AM I?
Oleander says, UP AND AT 'EM, SALLY!
TODAY IS…
Together, Oleander and her parents say, FAMILY EXERCISE DAY!
Sally drops her shoulders.
She says, NOPE.
NOT EVEN.
Oleander stops Sally before she can leave.
Oleander says, COME ON, LAZYBONES.
LET’S WORK ON THOSE
MUSCLES.
Sally asks, WHAT MUSCLES?
Oleander leads Sally away. Outside, a man on a bench feeds birds.
Oleander says, SOME LIGHT JUMPING
TO WARM UP.
Oleander’s dads stretch, with her baby brother Massimositting between them. Oleander plays music on a stereo.
She says, EVERYONE,
STAR JUMP!
Oleander does a star jump. Her family tries star jumps.
Oleander orders, HIGHER! HIGHER! HIGHER!
(Panting)
Oleander does star jumps with her family. Sally reads a book on a rock nearby.
Oleander says, COME ON, SALLY!
JOIN IN!
Two candy-like creatures, Sprinkle Fairy’s helpers, Sprinklers, step out from behind the stereo. They squeak and jump.
Sally says, NO THANKS!
THAT LOOKS
WAY TOO, TOO…
The Sprinklers go back behind the stereo.
Sally says, …STRENUOUS!
More Sprinklers pop up .
(Celebratory music plays)
The Sprinklers cheer, STRENUOUS!
A pink double decker bus honks as it drives by. Sprinkle Fairy appears with her star wand.
She says, DOING SOMETHING
STRENUOUS MEANS USING LOTS
OF ENERGY AND EFFORT.
YOU KNOW, LIKE HOW
YOU HAVE TO TRY REALLY HARD
TO JUMP AS FAST AS OLEANDER CAN.
Sprinkle Fairy joins Oleander’s family.
Sprinkle Fairy says, RIGHT, SALLY?
Sally closes her book.
She says, YOU BETCHA.
DOING STRENUOUS THINGS
IS NOT MY STYLE.

I HAVE BOXING CLASS
BY THE POND.
TOODALOO!
Sprinkle Fairy flies away.
(Panting)
Oleander says, COME ON, SALLY,
JOIN US.
Sally and her family continue their star jumps.
A person says, OH DEAR!
I COULD USE
A LITTLE HELP.
Sally says, OH! I HAVE TO
GO AND HELP POOR LIAM.
BYE!
Sally leaves. Oleander grunts as she continues exercising. An orange Sprinkler tries to lift a weight. The Sprinkler falls over. Liam sits at a picnic table with Ria. He struggles to open a jar. Sally runs up to the table.
She says, ALLOW ME.
Liam smiles and passes the jar to Sally. Sally grunts as she struggles to open the jar.
She says, PHEW!
WHO KNEW OPENING A JAR
COULD BE SO, STRENUOUS!
Sally grunts and opens the jar. She lets out a relieved sigh and sets the jar on the picnic table.
Ria says, SALLY, YOU'RE
A Miracle WORKER.
Sally says, IT WAS...
Sally pants.
She adds, …NOTHING!
Ria says, MAYBE YOU CAN OPEN
MY STUCK THERMOS AS WELL.
Ria offers Sally her thermos.
Sally says, SAY WHAT?!
Sally groans but takes the thermos.
She says, FINE.
Sally grunts. She pulls the lid off the thermos and sighs.
A person says, WOW!
The person, a man with a beard, runs over. He holds up a can.
He asks, COULD YOU OPEN
MY CAN OF TUNA?
A woman with short hair says, AND THIS
AND THIS SUPER SIZE
COOKIE JAR IS JAMMED
TIGHT.
Sally sighs.
She says, NO PROBLEM.
A second orange Sprinkler attempts to lift the weight. The Sprinkler falls back and stretches his arms. The Sprinkler grunts. Sally returns to her rock by Oleander and lets out an exhausted sigh.
Oleander says, THERE YOU ARE,
SLEEPYHEAD.
JUST IN TIME FOR
ONE FINGER PUSH UPS.
Oleander gestures to her parents doing one finger push ups.
Sally says, OOH! THAT LOOKS
REALLY STRENUOUS.
I'D LOVE TO JOIN,
BUT, UM…
(Grunting)
Sally gasps.
She says, …SOMEONE'S CALLING
FOR HELP!
Sally runs off. She walks up to Betty grunting as she pulls a large box.
Sally says, NEED A HAND?
Betty says, I'M GOOD. MY DELIVERY
VAN BROKE DOWN
SO I HAVE TO LUG ALL
THESE BOXES TO MY SHOP.
Oleander calls, SALLY?
Sally says, PLEASE?
I NEED THIS.
The woman says, WHY NOT?
GRAB THE OTHER END.
Sally grunts as she lifts one end of the large box.
She says, HEAVY!
Betty lifts her end of the box.
Sally says, SO STRENUOUS!
Sally groans as she carries the box with Betty. They put the box down.
Sally says, PHEW!
She wipes her forehead. Oleander runs up to Sally.
Oleander says, THERE YOU ARE!
WE'RE ABOUT TO START
THE 10 BLOCK
RUNNING RACE.
Sally says, SORRY!
I HAVE TO HELP BETTY.
Betty says, YOU CAN START
WITH THE GRAND PIANO.
Betty gestures to a piano surrounded by other boxes. Sally gasps. She carries a large box.
Betty says, THAT'S IT.
PUT YOUR BACK INTO IT!
Betty jogs behind Sally carrying a tiny box on her finger. Sally puts down her box and pants while sweating.
She says, STREN...U...OUS!
Oleander leans down.
She says, THIS WAY, SALLY!
WE NEED YOU!
TUG-O-WAR TIME!
KIDS VS. DADS.
Sally says, FINE! ANYTHING TO GET
AWAY FROM THESE BOXES.
Sally starts to leave with Oleander.
(Trumpeting)
Sally and Oleander glace back toward the boxes. They hold onto a tug-of-war rope with Oleander and Oleander and Massimo, who chews on the rope.
(Chipmunk chatter)
Chipmunks paddle a paddle boat in a lake. They scream as their boat heads toward Liam and Ria’s paddle boat.
Ria says, OH!
The chipmunks grumble. Liam and Ria gasp. They quickly try to paddle backwards.
A man wearing a hat yells, SOMEBODY
DO SOMETHING!
The woman with short hair says, YOU'RE THE GIRL
WHOSE BEEN
HELPING PEOPLE
ALL DAY.
HELP!
Sally frowns.
She says, OKAY.
She gathers the tug-of-war rope. Liam and Ria fearfully yell and the chipmunks chitter as their boats get closer to colliding. Sally stands at the edge of the lake. She grunts as she throws a lasso onto the chipmunks paddle boat and pulls it out of the way. The chipmunks let out confused chirps. Sally pulls the boat to the edge of the lake.
Ria says, THANKS, SALLY!
Liam says, BYE!
Ria and Liam wave as their boat continues down the lake. The chipmunks blow raspberries at Sally and glare at her as they leave their boat. Sally sighs.
A pink Sprinkler checks out an orange Sprinkler’s arm. A tiny yellow Sprinkler walks up to the weight, which is tied to a string. The Sprinkler lifts the weight. The other Sprinkler’s gasp. The weight is actually being lifted a chipmunk, with the string tied to a stick they hold. The chipmunk giggles.
Oleander’s family and other onlookers watch Sally return.
The man in the hat says, WAY TOO STRENUOUS!
Sally frowns. The onlookers cheer.
A person says, SALLY, FOR SELFLESS
SERVICES TO COLOSSUS,
WE HONOR YOU,
WITH THE 'HELPFULLY
