CHOP THEM INTO PIECES.
ADD VANILLA PASTE TO WHIPPING
CREAM AND WHISK UNTIL IT'S
THICK AND CREAMY.
WHEN THE MERINGUE NESTS HAVE
COOKED AND COOLED, TOP EACH ONE
WITH A DOLLOP OF CREAM, KIWI
FRUIT, STRAWBERRIES, AND SOME
FRESH MINT LEAVES.
OHH, LOOK AT THAT, DELICIOUS.
NOW THERE'S JUST ENOUGH TIME
FOR INDIGO TO GET THE TABLE
READY FOR HER FANTASTIC NEW
ZEALAND DESSERT.
Indigo decorates the table with colourful paper flowers.
Indigo says WHEN MY FRIENDS ARRIVE, I'M
GOING TO GREET THEM WITH A
HONGI.
The narrator says OOH, THAT'S FUN.
(DOORBELL RINGING)

DECORATIONS ARE LOVELY AND SO

At the door, her friends say HI!
Indigo says I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU A
TRADITIONAL THING PEOPLE OF NEW
ZEALAND TO SAY HELLO, CALLED THE
HONGI.
She says something in Maori language, shakes her friends' hands and gently touch heads with them.
The narrator says THE HONGI IS A TRADITIONAL
WAY OF GREETING PEOPLE.
WHAT A GREAT WAY TO SAY HELLO
TO YOUR FRIENDS.
EVERYONE'S WASHED THEIR HANDS
AND THEY'RE READY TO EAT.
Patryk says WHOA!

Indigo says WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY

Zoe says I LIKE ALL THE FLOWERS YOU
DECORATED ON THE TABLE.
Indigo says THANKS.
ARE YOU NEARLY READY TO EAT?
They all say YES!
The narrator says AND HERE'S MUM WITH INDIGO'S
WONDERFUL PAVLOVAS.
THEY LOOK ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS,
WITH THE COLOURFUL FRUIT
SITTING IN THE CRISPY MERINGUE
NESTS.
Mum says ONE FOR YOU AND ONE FOR YOU.
Christopher says YOUR IMAGINATIVE COLOURS ARE
VERY, VERY BRIGHT.
I REALLY LOVE IT.
Indigo says ALRIGHT GUYS, LET'S TUCK IN.
The narrator says EARLIER ON, INDIGO'S FRIENDS
WEREN'T ALL SURE ABOUT THE
TASTE OF KIWI FRUIT.
