[Music playing]
A split screen shows smiling children around eight or nine years old, all wearing aprons in different colours. They are using pots, pans, bowls, and spoons as musical instruments. Prepared food dishes fill the screen.
In colourful letters, the name of the show appears between an illustrated fork and a knife. The title reads: "My World Kitchen."
The narrator says, WHOSE KITCHEN ARE WE GOING TO TODAY?
A child with short brown hair and a black t-shirt opens a front door.
The child says, HELLO, MY NAME'S SONNY-MAC. WELCOME TO MY HOUSE. COME IN.
A woman with long dark hair in an orange shirt is in a kitchen.
Sonny-Mac says, THIS IS MY MUM NATALIE.
The narrator says, HI, MUM.
Sonny-Mac says, AND TODAY I'LL BE MAKING BANOFFEE PIE BECAUSE IT'S YUMMY.
The narrator says, HA-HA. SONNY-MAC'S MUM HAS SHOWN HIM A VERY SPECIAL WAY TO MAKE BANOFFEE PIE. SONNY-MAC'S FAMILY ARE ENGLISH. AND THEY LIVE IN A PART OF ENGLAND CALLED SUSSEX.
A colourful map has an arrow that points to England.
The narrator says, SUSSEX IS A LARGE HISTORIC COUNTY, IN THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND. SUSSEX IS HOME TO BEAUTIFUL BEACHES, LOVELY SCENERY AND LOTS OF INTERESTING BUILDINGS.
Images show a pie with whipped cream and bananas.
The narrator says, SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT BANOFFEE PIE WAS INVENTED IN SUSSEX, MANY YEARS AGO. THE ORIGINAL RECIPE INCLUDED BANANAS, CREAM, AND LOTS OF YUMMY TOFFEE.
Sonny-Mac washes his hands. He puts on a red and white striped apron.
The narrator says, SONNY-MAC HAS WASHED HIS HANDS, PUT ON HIS APRON AND HE'S READY TO COOK.
Sonny-Mac says, I'M GOING TO BE MAKING BANOFFEE PIE FOR MY FRIENDS.
Three children waved.
The narrator says, AND HE'S INVITED DAISY, MACEY, AND REX, TO TASTE ONE OF THE MAIN INGREDIENTS BEFORE THEY COME ROUND FOR A VERY SPECIAL DESSERT LATER. WHAT'S THAT?

The narrator says, IT'S NOT A RAISIN EITHER. WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?
The children eat.
Macey says, IT TASTES REALLY SWEET.
Rex says, I THINK IT'S A FRUIT BUT IT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE.

Ingredients appear on a counter.
The narrator says, AS WELL AS DATES YOU'LL NEED BANANAS, UNSALTED BUTTER, DIGESTIVE BISCUITS, WARM WATER, WHIPPING CREAM AND COCOA POWDER. WHAT'S FIRST?
Sonny-Mac says, I WILL BE BREAKING THESE BISCUITS UP.
Digestive cookies are in a blue bowl.
The narrator says, BREAK THEM IN TO SMALL PIECES. THEN CAREFULLY BASH THEM WITH THE END OF A ROLLING PIN, UNTIL THEY LOOK LIKE CRUMBS.
Sonny-Mac says, KIDS, IF YOU DO THIS AT HOME, YOU HAVE TO WASH YOUR HANDS AND HAVE AN APRON, BECAUSE IT'S QUITE MESSY.
The narrator says, IT LOOKS FUN THOUGH. ASK A GROWN UP TO MELT THE BUTTER FOR YOU, AND WHEN IT'S SLIGHTLY COOLED, CAREFULLY TIP IT INTO THE BOWL, THEN GIVE IT A GOOD MIX.
Sonny-Mac stirs the bowl with a wooden spoon.
The narrator says, DELICIOUS. TIP THE BUTTERY BISCUIT CRUMBS ONTO BAKING PAPER IN A CAKE TIN. SPREAD THEM OUT, AND FLATTEN, WITH THE BACK OF A SPOON, JUST LIKE THIS.
Sonny-Mac presses a spoon against the crumb mixture.
The narrator asks, WHAT'S NEXT?
Sonny-Mac says, NOW, I'M GOING TO PUT THE CAKE TIN IN THE FRIDGE.
Sonny-Mac puts a pie plate with the crumb mixture in a refrigerator.
The narrator says, YOU'LL NEED THAT A BIT LATER.

Sonny-Mac says, I'M GOING TO WEIGH THESE CHOPPED UP DATES TO 100G.
Sonny-Mac puts dates into a bowl on a kitchen scale.
The narrator says, SONNY-MAC IS USING DRIED CHOPPED DATES IN HIS BANOFFEE PIE. POUR OVER SOME WARM WATER. AND PUT THE DISH ASIDE FOR LATER.
Sonny-Mac says, NOW, I NEED TO SLOSH AROUND MY CREAM.
The narrator says, MAKE SURE THE LID IS ON NICE AND TIGHT, AND SHAKE THE JAR OF WHIPPING CREAM LIKE THIS. SHAKE IT, SHAKE IT, SHAKE IT. THIS WILL MAKE THE CREAM LOVELY AND THICK.
Sonny-Mac shakes a jar.

The narrator says, WELL DONE SONNY-MAC, BUT DON'T FORGET TO SAVE A FEW PIECES OF BANANA FOR LATER.
Banana slices cover the top of the pie.
Sonny-Mac says, THERE. NOW I'M GOING TO GET THE CREAM, I'M GOING TO SPREAD IT ALL OVER.
The narrator says, SPOON THE LOVELY WHIPPED CREAM ALL OVER THE BANANA.
Sonny-Mac pats whipped cream over the bananas.
Sonny-Mac says, THAT'S ENOUGH CREAM NOW. DO MY LAST BITS OF BANANA. SQUISH THAT THERE.

Sonny-Mac shakes a jar.
The narrator says, POUR WHIPPING CREAM INTO A JAR WITH A LID. SCREW IT ON TIGHTLY, AND GIVE IT A BIG SHAKE, UNTIL THE CREAM GOES THICK. LOVELY. USE A FORK TO MASH THE SOAKED DATES INTO A PASTE. WHEN THE BISCUIT BASE HAS GONE HARD IN THE FRIDGE, TIP IT OUT OF THE CAKE TIN.
The pie crust is put on a plate.
The narrator says, PEEL OFF THE BAKING PAPER AND PUT IT ON A PLATE. SPREAD THE DATE PASTE ALL OVER THE BISCUIT BASE.
