Transcript: HDYF - Gratitude Challenge
(Cheerful music plays)
Text reads, tvokids presents.
A person sings, HOW DO YOU FEEL.
An animated sun shines brightly over a forest.
The person sings, HOW DO YOU FEEL.
A rainbow forms behind text that reads, how do you feel? A boy in a red sweater walks through a pink curtain into a room with purple and green walls.
He says, HEY EVERYONE, IT'S ME, AKIM, THE
HOST OF HOW DO YOU FEEL?
ON THIS SHOW WE TALK ABOUT
HOW IMPORTANT IT IS
TO PRACTICE GRATITUDE.
AND TODAY, I HAVE A
CHALLENGE FOR YOU.
CAN YOU LIST 10 THINGS THAT
YOU'RE GRATEFUL FOR?
I BET YOU CAN.
Akin jumps to a wall in the room that holds different crafting supplies and a corkboard.
He says, IT COULD BE SOMETHING
SMALL, LIKE,
I'M GRATEFUL FOR MY BED BECAUSE
IT'S SO WARM AND COZY.
OR SOMETHING BIG, LIKE, I'M
GRATEFUL FOR MY FAMILY.
GIVE IT A TRY AT HOME.
THINK ABOUT TEN THINGS
YOU'RE GRATEFUL FOR
AND WRITE THEM DOWN.
I'LL GO FIRST!
Akin pins a note card to the corkboard. The card reads, my bed. In a time lapse, Akin pins other notecards. The different cards include text that reads, my family, Patty!, music, baseball, the swing, rollercoasters, fuzzy peaches, sticker collection and my friends. Akin dusts off his hands.
He says, PIECE OF CAKE.
NOW IT'S YOUR TURN.
MMM. CAKE.
Akin smiles and adds a notecard to the board that reads, cake.
