Tom and Brad look at their worksheets. Marcus has a furrowed brow.
Marcus says, I'M GOING TO
FIND THESE BUGS BEFORE YOU.
BECAUSE I AM EXCELLENT
AT SPOTTING SMALL CREATURES.
On the worksheet is a ladybug, butterfly and millipede.
Marcus says, FIND THE BUGS!
In a the forest, leaves fall from trees.
Marcus says, OKAY, HERE IS THE
DEEP DARK JUNGLE.
FIND ALL THE BUGS
BEFORE THE TIME IS UP!
READY, STEADY, GO!

Marcus says, I'VE SPOTTED ONE ALREADY.
CAN YOU SEE IT?
The timer ticks as time passes.
Marcus says, THIS IS REALLY BUGGING ME.
Leaves continue to fall from trees.
Marcus says, TIME IS NEARLY UP!
Energetic music plays as time starts to run out. The timer buzzes when time runs out.
Marcus says, OKAY TIME'S UP.
DID YOU FIND ALL THE BUGS?
A lady bug pops out from behind a bush.
Marcus says, AH LADYBUG!
YOU'VE BEEN, SPOTTED!
A ladybug waves and Marcus chuckles. Marcus uses a magnifying glass.
Marcus says, THERE IS THE MILLIPEDE!

Tom says, ROLL OUT YOUR FOIL
AND CUT 3 LONG PIECES
ABOUT THIS SIZE.
The tinfoil is rolled out and three strips of about two inches wide are measured.
The monster with the sign says, BE CAREFUL WITH SCISSORS!
Tom says, GOOD POINT!
TAKE TWO OF THESE PIECES AND
FOLD THEM IN HALF LONGWAYS,

The long length of a tinfoil strip is folded in half, then half again.
Tom says, SCRUNCH THE FOIL UP
AND ROLL IT INTO A LONG BUMPY
STRIP LIKE THIS.
The cut strip is scrunched up but keeps its length.
Tom says, DO THE SAME WITH BOTH STRIPS.
The steps are repeated with the other strip of tinfoil.
Tom says, CUT BOTH STRIPS IN HALF
SO YOU HAVE 4 THAT ARE
ROUGHLY THE SAME LENGTH.
The two scrunched up strips are split in half, creating four scrunched up strips.
Tom says, LAY THE 4 ON TOP OF EACH
OTHER, IN A FAN LIKE THIS.
The four strips cross over one another by their centre keeping a small distance between each strip.
Tom says, TAKE ALL 4 PIECES

Tom says, THEN SQUISH
AND SQUEEZE IT INTO SHAPE.
BEND EACH OF THE LEGS UP
AND THEN DOWN, TO GIVE
THEM A SPIDERY SHAPE.
The tinfoil strips outside of the ball centre are bent and formed into spider-like legs.
Tom says, YOU CAN USE PAINT TO
GIVE YOUR SPIDER A FACE.
Eyes and a smile are added to the ball of the spider.
Tom says, OR MAKE DIFFERENT
COLOURED SPIDERS!
A black tinfoil spider appears beside the silver tinfoil spider.
Tom says, YOU COULD USE
EVEN MORE TINFOIL.
TO MAKE A REALLY HUGE SPIDER!
A larger spider grumbles as it approaches the smaller spiders. The smaller spiders run away.
