An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom wearing denim overalls over a peach shirt. She sits with a child with curly auburn hair who wears a pink shirt and a child with short black hair who wears a green shirt.

Mandisa says, HEY KIDS, DO YOU KNOW
WHAT THIS IS?

Mandisa pulls out a cupcake painting.

The black haired child says, A CUPCAKE.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
LOOKS GOOD, DOESN'T IT?
HOW ABOUT WE MAKE A CUPCAKE
OF OUR OWN?

The auburn haired child cheers, YEAH!

The black haired child cheers, YEAH!

Mandisa says, LET'S GO GET OUR CRAFT SUPPLIES.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. They children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED
CRAFT STICKS,
POM POMS, SEQUINS,
CONSTRUCTION PAPER
AND A BOTTLE OF GLUE.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their craft supplies.

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING TO GLUE DOWN OUR
CUPCAKE LINER.
AND THERE'S YOUR CUPCAKE LINER.

Mandisa passes each child a pink paper with multiple folded creases that look like a cupcake liner.

Mandisa says, JUST, SO PUT A LITTLE BIT OF
GLUE RIGHT THERE.
AND ALL THE WAY DOWN.

Mandisa helps the children glue their cupcake liners onto purple construction paper.

Mandisa says, NICE.
GOOD JOB.
CAN YOU PUT A WHOLE
BUNCH OF GLUE,
ALL IN THE CENTRE OF YOUR PAGE.
PUT SOME GLUE RIGHT HERE
FOR ME, ZANNA.

Zanna, the auburn haired child, and the dark haired child spread glue onto their construction paper.

Zanna says, LOTS OF GLUE.

The children clue down a white paper cut out above their cupcake liners.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB.
AND GLUE DOWN YOUR CUPCAKE.

The black haired child asks, WHAT'S NEXT?

Mandisa says, WE ARE GOING TO MAKE OUR ICING
USING SHAVING CREAM, AND GLUE.

Mandisa places 6 different coloured plastic bowls on the table.

She says, IT'S CALLED PUFFY PAINT.

Mandisa shakes a can of shaving cream. She starts filling the bowls with the shaving cream.

Mandisa asks, DOES IT LOOK LIKE ICING TO YOU?

The black haired child smiles. Mandisa grins and fills the remaining bowls with shaving cream.

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING TO ADD SIX DIFFERENT
COLOURS.
OK, I'LL GET YOU TO SQUEEZE IN
THE PINK IN THAT BOWL.

Mandisa passes Zanna pink coloring. Mandisa nudges the pink bowl of shaving cream toward Zana. Zanna adds drops of the colour the shaving cream. The black haired child adds colouring to the purple bowl of shaving cream.

Mandisa says, GOOD, GOOD, KEEP DROPPING.
CAN YOU ADD SOME ORANGE TO THAT
BOWL FOR ME?

Mandisa passes Zanna orange colouring.

Mandisa says, NEXT, WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME
GLUE.
CAN YOU ADD SOME GLUE TO THAT
BOWL?

Zanna and the dark haired child add glue to the bowls.

Mandisa says, THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE
PARTS.
WE GET TO MIX THE COLOURS.

Mandisa passes the children popsicle sticks.

Mandisa says, OKAY, CAN YOU PUT YOUR STICK
INSIDE OF THE BOWL?
AND YOU CAN MIX
THE ORANGE, ZANNA.
KEEP MIXING, YOU WANT IT TO
LOOK BLUE.

Mandisa and the children sit at the table with the mixed bowls of different coloured puff paint.

Mandisa says, NOW OUR PUFFY PAINT IS DONE,
WE ARE GOING TO START ICING OUR
CUPCAKES.

Zanna says, I'M READY.

Mandisa says, OK, GO AHEAD AND PAINT.

The children start painting their cupcake. Zanna starts with yellow paint and the black haired child starts with blue.

Mandisa says, YOU CAN USE ANY COLOUR YOU WANT.

The black haired child grabs the green paint.

Zanna says, I'LL TAKE PURPLE.

Mandisa says, PURPLE.

The black haired child spreads more blue paint over their cupcake.

The child asks, ARE YOU HAVING FUN?

Zanna says, YEAH.

The black haired child spreads yellow paint onto their cupcake.

Mandisa says, YOU'RE MIXING ALL THE
COLOURS UP.

The black haired child says, WE MIX THE
COLOURS UP.
WE MAKE A RAINBOW.

The child spreads orange paint onto their cupcake.

The child says, I LOVE RAINBOWS.

Zanna mixes the paint colours of their cupcake together.

The dark haired child asks, DOES IT LOOK YUMMY?

Mandisa says, IT DOES LOOK YUMMY, VANIER.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO PUT ON
YOUR CUPCAKES?

Vanier, the black haired child, says, SPRINKLES.

Mandisa says, OK.
HERE ARE SOME SPRINKLES FOR YOU,
YOU CAN TAKE A BIG HANDFUL AND
SPRINKLE IT ONTO YOUR CUPCAKE.

Vanier and Zanna sprinkle colourful confetti onto their puff paint.

Mandisa asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD PUT
ON TOP OF OUR CUPCAKES?

Vanier cheers, CHERRIES!

Mandisa says, CHERRIES.
OK.
YOU CAN TAKE THAT CHERRY, AND
THAT'S YOUR CHERRY.
THESE ARE OUR CHERRY POM POMS.

The children add large red pom poms to their craft.

Mandisa says, ALL RIGHT.
OH, THESE LOOK SO DELICIOUS.

The children hold up their cupcake art.

Vanier says, YEAH.

Mandis asks, DO YOU THINK
WE SHOULD
OPEN UP A
CUPCAKE STORE?
YEAH!
