A paper bag fox hops onto show host Mandisa’s hand. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt. She stands against an animated background. A cardboard robot lands beside Mandisa. Mandisa holds the robot and smiles.
A title reads, Curious Crafting.
Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom. She wears a colourful headband with a green shirt under denim overalls. Children sit on either side of Mandisa. One of the children has short brown hair and the other has short black pigtails.
Mandisa asks, WHAT INSECT MAKES HONEY
AND MAKES THE SOUND BZZZZZZ?
The brown haired child says, BEE.
The black haired child says, BEE!
Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
JUST LIKE THIS BEE RIGHT HERE.
She holds up a bee craft. A paint brush reveals supplies on the craft table. Mandisa traces circle with a bowl onto a piece of paper.
She narrates, TO MAKE THIS CRAFT AT HOME,
TRACE A CIRCLE IN THE CENTRE OF
YOUR PAGE.
Mandisa tears a piece of yellow paper into small pieces.
She narrates, TEAR YELLOW AND BLACK
CONSTRUCTION PAPER
INTO SMALL PIECES.
Mandisa tears a piece of black paper into small pieces. She spreads glue over the circle on her paper.
She narrates, ADD GLUE TO YOUR CIRCLE
AND GLUE DOWN THE YELLOW AND
BLACK PAPER
IN THE PATTERN OF A BUMBLEBEE.
Mandisa glues the teared pieces of paper to the white paper in a bumble pattern.
She narrates, GLUE ON A STINGER, AN ANTENNA.
She glues stinger and antenna paper cut outs.
Mandisa narrates, THEN GLUE POM POM ON TOP OF YOUR
ANTENNA.
She glues black pom poms to the antennas.
She narrates, CUT A CUPCAKE LINER IN HALF
AND GLUE IT TO EITHER SIDE OF
YOUR BEE.
Mandisa glues half a cupcake liner to either side of her bumble so they look like wings.
She narrates, AND GLUE DOWN TWO GOOGLY EYES
AND YOUR TORN PAPER BUMBLEBEE IS
COMPLETE.
Mandisa holds up her completed craft. Scissors cut through paper and reveals Mandisa at the tale with the children and their bumble crafts.
Mandisa says, GOOD JOB.
ARE YOU PROUD OF YOUR BEE?
The brown haired child says, I'M SO PROUD.
Mandisa says, LET'S TAKE OUR BEES FOR
A LITTLE FLY.
She stands from the table with the children. They wave their crafts around the room.
One of the children says, BUZZ BUZZ.
