Mandisa says, I HAVE THIS WATER BOTTLE THAT WE
CAN REUSE,
BUT WHAT SHOULD WE MAKE?
A water bottle airplane craft drops down beside Mandisa. Two children sit at the table with Mandisa. One has dark curly hair and the other has light curly hair.
Both children say, AIRPLANE.
Mandisa holds the water bottle airplane.
She says, A WATER BOTTLE AIRPLANE.

Mandisa narrates, TO MAKE THIS CRAFT AT HOME,
GLUE A WHITE SHEET OF PAPER
AROUND A WATER BOTTLE.
Mandisa glues a white piece of paper around a smooth plastic water bottle.
She narrates, CREATE TWO ENGINES BY GLUING
THE ENDS
OF TWO BLUE SQUARES TOGETHER TO
MAKE TUBES.
Mandisa glues a blue paper tube to the water bottle plane.
She narrates, GLUE THEM TO THE SIDES OF
THE PLANE.
GLUE THE WINGS ON TOP OF
YOUR ENGINES.
Mandisa glues brown wing shaped paper cut outs above one of the blue tubes on the plane.
She narrates, GLUE SMALL BLACK CIRCLES ALONG
THE SIDES
ABOVE THE WINGS FOR WINDOWS.
Mandisa glues the black paper circles on either side of the plane
She narrates, GLUE ON THE REAR WING.
Mandisa glues a blue paper cut out on top of the end of the plane.
She narrates, GLUE THE PROPELLER TOGETHER.
Mandisa glues three orange paper cut outs together to make a propeller.
She narrates, REMOVE THE CAP
AND SLIDE IT ON THE NECK
OF THE BOTTLE.
Mandisa screws the cap back onto the water bottle, holding the propeller in place.
She narrates, PUT BACK ON THE CAP
AND GLUE ON A RED CIRCLE.
Mandisa glues a red paper circle onto the cap of the bottle. She picks up the plane.
She narrates, YOUR PLANE IS READY FOR TAKEOFF.
Mandisa wiggles the propeller. She and the children play with water bottle plane crafts.
(Whistle)
Mandisa says, LET'S MAKE THEM FLY.
Mandisa and the kids make plane sounds.
