Little Malabar is a curious little boy who travels in space jumping on planets. He is blonde and wears a white T-shirt with the sun on the front and blue shorts.

Opening credits read, tchack and Pictanovo, with the support of Region Hauts de France and the participation of francetelevisions presents.

A song plays TO THE MOON AND BACK

Little Malabar says HA-HA!

The song continues I JUMP ON EVERY PLANET
AND EVERY STAR
C'MON, LET'S GO FAR
EXPLORE THE WHOLE UNIVERSE,
LITTLE MALABAR

The title reads, “Little Malabar. Music by Fred Pallem. Directed by Patrick Volve”

A narrator says, THE GREAT VOYAGER
OF THE GALAXY.

Little Malabar catches a green boomerang.

Little Malabar says, HA-HA!
LET'S DO IT AGAIN!
HA!

Little Malabar throws the boomerang around a giraffe’s neck. A peacock hops over the boomerang. Little Malabar catches the boomerang and falls back onto a gorilla.

Little Malabar says, WHOA!
HELLO, GORILLA.
DO YOU WANNA TRY MY BOOMERANG?

The gorilla holds the boomerang.

(The gorilla grunts)

Little Malabar says, IT'S EASY.
YOU JUST HAVE TO THROW IT
REALLY HARD.

The gorilla throws the boomerang.

(The gorilla grunts)

The boomerang disappears.

Little Malabar says, WOW!
WELL DONE, GORILLA!

The boomerang flies off the earth into outer space.

Little Malabar says, BUT NOT SURE IT'S GOING TO
COME BACK THIS TIME.
DON'T YOU WORRY,
WE CAN GO AND GET IT.

(Quirky squirty music)

Little Malabar hops onto the gorilla’s back. The gorilla leaps over mountains then leaps off the earth and hops from planet to planet.

Little Malabar says, WOO-WOO!
WHOA-HO-HO!

(Little Malabar giggles)

Little Malabar says, HELLO, NEPTUNE.
HAVE YOU SEEN OUR BOOMERANG?

Neptune says, I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS.
BUT SOMETHING IS COMING TOWARDS
US RIGHT NOW AT HIGH SPEED.
IT IS STRANGELY WHIRLING AROUND.
I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING
LIKE IT.

A brown, log-shaped object hurtles through outer space.

Little Malabar says, THAT'S SURELY OUR BOOMERANG
COMING BACK.

The object giggles and says, WOO-HOO!

Little Malabar rides on the gorilla’s back.

Little Malabar says, QUICK, GORILLA,
LET'S CATCH IT!

The gorilla jumps onto the object.

The object says, YOO-HOO!

Little Malabar says, WHOA.
BUT YOU'RE NOT OUR BOOMERANG.
WHOA!
YOU'RE WAY BIGGER.

The object says, MY NAME IS ‘OUMUAMUA.
IT'S MY FIRST TIME IN YOUR
SOLAR SYSTEM.

Little Malabar says, WELCOME.
THIS IS GORILLA,
AND I'M LITTLE MALABAR.
I REALLY LOVE YOUR NAME.

The Object, ‘Oumuamua twirls past planets as the gorilla hops on it.

Oumuamua says, ‘OUMUAMUA MEANS SCOUT.
I GO SCOUTING FROM STAR TO STAR
AND ADMIRE ALL THEIR PLANETS
ONE AFTER THE OTHER.
WOO-HOO!

Little Malabar says, YOU HEAR THAT, GORILLA?
WE DISCOVERED A SUPER ROCK
VOYAGER.
AND HAVE YOU BEEN TRAVELLING
FOR LONG LIKE THIS, ‘OUMUAMUA?

‘Oumuamua says, OH, I SURE HAVE.
WHEN I WAS BORN,
I UP AND LEFT MY STAR.
AND EVER SINCE,
I'VE BEEN TRAVELLING THROUGHOUT
THE GALAXY!

Little Malabar asks, BUT HOW DID YOU DO THAT?

‘Oumuamua chuckles and says,
I'LL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT.

Several planets rotate around a large smiling yellow star.

‘Oumuamua says, IT WAS A VERY LONG TIME AGO.
VERY FAR AWAY FROM YOUR SUN
THERE WAS ANOTHER STAR AND
OTHER PLANETS,
AND THERE WAS A HUGE ROCK THAT
WAS TURNING CLOSE TO THE STAR.
BUT LITTLE BY LITTLE IT GOT A
BIT TOO CLOSE TO THE STAR,
AND THAT MADE THE ROCK GO
HAYWIRE.
IT STARTED TURNING FASTER AND
FASTER AND FASTER.
AND THEN BECAME ELONGATED,
AND THEN EVERYTHING ACCELERATED.
AND THE BIG ROCK BROKE INTO
SEVERAL ROCKS THAT GOT CLOSE TO
THE STAR AGAIN,
AND THEN BEGAN TO SPEED UP
AGAIN,
TURNING ABOUT EVERY WHICH WAY.
AND SOME OF THEM WERE EVEN
EJECTED FAR AWAY OUT INTO
OUTER SPACE.
AND ONE OF THOSE WAS ME.
I AM ‘OUMUAMUA,
THE GREAT VOYAGER OF THE GALAXY,
AND THIS IS HOW I TRAVELLED
FAR AND WIDE,
AND HOW I MADE IT ALL THE WAY
HERE TO YOU.

(‘Oumuamua giggles)

‘Oumuamua flies past several colourful planets.

‘Oumuamua says, AND THAT'S IT.
I'M SO SUPER FAST THAT I WAS
ABLE TO LEAVE MY STAR.

Little Malabar says, WOW.
‘OUMUAMUA, WELCOME TO OUR SOLAR
SYSTEM.
LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR
STAR, THE SUN.

‘Oumuamua rotates toward the sun, which has a smiling face.

The sun says, HEY.
CAN'T SAY I'VE SEEN YOU AROUND
HERE BEFORE.

‘Oumuamua says, THAT'S NORMAL.
I'M JUST PASSING BY.
NOW I'M OFF TOWARDS ANOTHER
STAR.
AND YOU,
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

The gorilla and Little Malabar hang onto ‘Oumuamua as it rotates through outer space.

Little Malabar says, US?
WELL, UH...
WHAT WAS IT WE CAME HERE TO DO
ALREADY?
OH!
THE BOOMERANG!
WE HAVE TO CATCH IT.

The gorilla leaps off ‘Oumuamua and catches the boomerang.

Little Malabar says, WELL DONE, GORILLA!
BON VOYAGE, ‘OUMUAMUA.
WILL YOU COME BACK AND SEE US?

The gorilla leaps off of ‘Oumuamua

‘Oumuamua says, I REALLY DOUBT THAT.
THE GALAXY IS FAR TOO BIG,
AND THERE ARE SO MANY STARS
TO VISIT.
BYE-BYE!

The gorilla lands back on earth on a grassy green mountain.

Little Malabar says, YES!
WE DID IT.
IT'S A GOOD THING MY BOOMERANG
ISN'T LIKE ‘OUMUAMUA,
IT ALWAYS COMES BACK.

The gorilla throws the boomerang into a pond.

(Splashes)

(Little Malabar giggles)

Little Malabar says, GORILLA, THROWING BOOMERANGS
IS DEFINITELY NOT YOUR THING.

(The gorilla grunts)

Rocks quickly circle a smiling yellow star in space.

The narrator says, IN OUTER SPACE,
CERTAIN BIG ROCKS MOVE SO FAST
THAT THEY LEAVE THEIR STAR
AND TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE GALAXY.
ONE OF THEM PASSED BY CLOSE TO
OUR SUN BEFORE GOING ON ITS WAY.
IT'S ‘OUMUAMUA.

(Soft electronic music)

End credits.
