Emma says, TO MAKE A MAGIC GUACAMOLE,
YOU WILL NEED...

Serena says, ONE NICE AND RIPE AVOCADO.

Emma says, ONE LIME.

Serena says, ONE TEASPOON
OF JARRED MINCED GARLIC.

Emma says, ONE QUARTER CUP OF CILANTRO.

Serena says, AND ONE SMALL TOMATO.

Emma says, WE ARE READY FOR
THE FIVE INGREDIENTS CHALLENGE!

Serena and Emma stand behind the kitchen island. Serena wears a blue patterned shirt.

She says, TO BEGIN,
LET'S CUT THE AVOCADO.
ALL WE'LL BE NEEDING
IS THE FLESH.

Serena cuts into an avocado.

Emma says, CUT IT LENGTHWISE
UNTIL YOU FEEL THAT THE BLADE
MEETS THE PIT.

Serena pulls on the two halves of the avocado.

She says, THEN SIMPLY OPEN THE AVOCADO
BY TWISTING THE TWO HALVES
TOGETHER
IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS.
REMOVE THE PIT WITH THE SPOON.

Serena nudges the pit out of the avocado with a spoon.

She says, THEN WE REMOVE THE FLESH
AND PUT IT IN A BOWL.

Emma gently starts to loosen the flesh of an avocado from its skin. Serena scoops the flesh of her avocado to a large glass bowl.

Serena says, NOW THE FUN PART:
WE MASH THE AVOCADO
WITH A FORK.

Serena and Emma mash the avocado in the bowl with forks.

Serena says, IT'S LIKE GREEN
MASHED POTATOES.

Emma says, I COULD AVOCA-DO THIS
ALL DAY.

(Percussion sting)

Serena and Emma grin. Serena cuts into a lime.

She says, NOW LET'S SQUEEZE
AS MUCH JUICE AS POSSIBLE
FROM THE LIME
IN THE MASHED AVOCADO.

Serena uses a citrus squeezer to squeeze lemon juice into the bowl of avocado.

Emma says, WE HAVE TO CUT
A QUARTER CUP OF CILANTRO.

Text reads, ¼ cup (60 milliliters).

Emma says, PERSONALLY
I LOVE USING SCISSORS.

Emma cuts cilantro with a pair of scissors.

She says, WE CUT IT
INTO VERY SMALL PIECES
SO THAT IT'S EASIER
TO PUT IN OUR GUACAMOLE.

Emma gathers the small cut up pieces of cilantro in a measuring cup while Serena mixes the avocado and lime juice with a spoon. Emma dumps the cilantro into the bowl. She removes the lid off a container of diced garlic.

She says, NOW THE GARLIC.
WE NEED ONE TEASPOON.

Text reads, 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters). Emma adds a teaspoon of garlic to the bowl. Serena mixes the ingredients together.

She says, LET'S MOVE ON
TO DICING THE TOMATO.

Emma places a tomato on a cutting board in front of Serena. Serena dices the tomato. She scoops a spoonful of guacamole into a serving bowl.

Serena says, THEN WE TRANSFER
THE AVOCADO MIXTURE
INTO A NICE BOWL.

Serena scoops the rest of the guacamole into the bowl. She slides the diced tomato off her cutting board and into the bowl of guacamole.

Serena says, HMM, THE TOMATOES
SMELL VERY GOOD.

Emma says, AND ALAKAZAM!
HERE IS OUR MAGIC GUACAMOLE!

Serena says, YEAH, BUT NOW WE HAVE
TO ANSWER THE QUESTION.
WHY IS OUR GUACAMOLE MAGICAL?

Emma says, BECAUSE
IT DISAPPEARS IN A WINK.

Emma places a bowl of tortilla chips beside the magic guacamole.

Serena says, OH, YEAH.

Emma and Serena try the magic guacamole with a chip. They nod.

Serena says, WE DID IT.

Together, Serena and Emma say, WHAT A CHALLENGE!

Serena holds up the bowl of magic guacamole. Emma holds up a camera and takes a selfie with Serena.
