IT'S REALLY EASY TO DO.
OH LOOK, MINE WENT STRAIGHT
THROUGH.
Heze runs his thread through a sewing needle.
HE says,
MINE TOO.
IS THAT FINE?
Ella replies, I THINK THAT'LL BE FINE.
The narrator says,
MUMMY STRETCHES A SOCK OVER
A PIECE OF WOOD CALLED A
MUSHROOM, SO SHE CAN SEW OVER
THE HOLE.
Ella and Heze sew socks.
Ella says,
...START BY PUTTING IT
IN HERE, JUST PULL IT THROUGH
GENTLY.
DON'T YOU FEEL LIKE THIS IS
ACTUALLY QUITE RELAXING?

The narrator says, GOOD WORK, HEZE.
A circular piece of paper spins. The word “Repair” is written on it.
Hosanna shouts, REPAIR!
Tim, Hosanna, Halle, Harper, and Reu decorate socks.
Hosanna says, LOOK, DAD.
Her white sock has googly eyes on it.
Tim replies, OH WOW--
The narrator says,
AND LOOK, WHAT'S HAPPENING TO
THE SOCKS TOO OLD TO BE
REPAIRED?
THEY'RE NOT BEING WASTED.
Harper decorates her sock.
She says, DADDY?
Tim replies, YES, DARLING?
The narrator adds,
THEY'RE BEING REPAIRED INTO
THE STARS OF THE SHOW.
Hosanna plays with her decorated grey sock. It has blue and green stickers and red hair.

LOOK, HOSANNA, LOOK AT THE HAIR
ON THAT ONE.
Halle looks at Hosanna’s sock.
She says,
YEAH, THAT'S SO COOL.
LOOK AT ALL OF THE HAIR.
Tim replies,
NICE.
SO, WHY DON'T WE MAKE THE STORY
OF OUR SHOW ABOUT REPAIRING?
The kids reply, YEAH.
Halle adds,
WITH PRINCESSES AND PRINCES.
Tim says,
LOVELY, HALLE, I LOVE THAT IDEA.
Tim sets up a stage for a sock puppet show.
The narrator says,
DADDY LOVES PUTTING ON A SHOW.
USING LOTS OF RECYCLED
MATERIALS, HE MAKES A STAGE FOR
THE SOCKS.
ALL HE NEEDS NOW IS AN
AUDIENCE.
Tim walks into the living room.
He asks, HEY, GUYS, WE FINISHED?
Heze replies, HI, DAD, YEAH.
Ella adds, HELLO, YEAH, WE ARE.
Tim asks,
ARE YOU FINISHED REPAIRING?
Ella answers,
WE HAVE, WE'VE REPAIRED.
AH, VERY GOOD.
Tim says,
BUT I'VE GOT SOME EXCELLENT
NEWS, GUYS.
Heze replies, REALLY?
Tim adds,
WE HAVE GOT A SHOW FOR YOU.
Ella says, AH, HAVE YOU?
Tim replies, ARE YOU AVAILABLE?
Ella answers, YES WE ARE.
She packs up the sewing equipment.
Tim says,
WELL, I'VE GOT TO GO, BECAUSE
IT'S SHOW TIME.
Ella replies,
OKAY, VERY EXCITING.
ALL RIGHT, WE'LL BE THERE.
Tim adds,
BYE.
YOU GET YOURSELVES TOGETHER,
I'LL SEE YOU IN THERE.
Ella says,
YES, COME ON THEN.
LET'S PUT THIS STUFF AWAY.
Tim rushes to the stage.
He says, GUYS, THEY'RE COMING.
The Grimwades shout,
GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES!
Text reads “Go Green With the Grimwades”.
Tim holds Hosanna’s shoulders as she reads from a notebook beside the sock puppet stage. Ella and Houston sit in the audience.
Hosanna reads,
ONCE UPON A TIME,
THERE WAS A PRINCE,
PRINCE THROWAWAY.
HE LIVED IN A BIG CASTLE, IN A
BEAUTIFUL KINGDOM.
Reu carries a drawing of a grey castle in front of the stage.
Tim adds,
BUT HE HAD A PROBLEM.
HE WAS ALWAYS BREAKING THINGS.
(Zapping)
A piece of cardboard in the shape of a television fizzles on the stage.
Hosanna says in a deep voice,
OH DEAR, THE TELEVISION HAS JUST
BROKEN.
(Smashing)
Ella smiles.
Hosanna adds, HE THREW IT AWAY.
A broken plate appears beside Hosanna’s sock puppet on the stage.
Halle says,
OH DEAR, THE PLATE IS BROKEN.
The plate disappears behind the stage.
Tim adds,
BUT WHAT PRINCE THROWAWAY
COULDN'T SEE WAS THE MORE THAT
HE THREW AWAY, THE LESS
BEAUTIFUL HIS KINGDOM BECAME.
IT WAS A DUMP.
A picture of a pile of trash rises onto the stage.
Hosanna adds,
UNTIL ONE DAY,
EVERYTHING WAS PILED SO HIGH
THAT THE THINGS THE PRINCE HAD
THROWN AWAY STARTED POURING
THROUGH THE WINDOWS OF
THE CASTLE.
Halle opens the sock puppet’s mouth.
She shouts, HELP! HELP!
Tim says,
...SHOUTED THE PRINCE.
HE WAS TRAPPED INSIDE THE
CASTLE BY EVERYTHING HE HAD
THROWN AWAY.
HE HAD EVEN THROWN AWAY THE
LADDER, SO HE COULDN'T ESCAPE.
Halle opens the sock puppet’s mouth again.
She shouts, HELP! HELP!
Tim adds,
HE SHOUTED SO LOUDLY,
HIS CRIES WERE HEARD FAR, FAR
AWAY IN THE DISTANT KINGDOM OF
REPAIR.
PRINCESS REPAIR-A-LOT, WHO HAD
JUST REPAIRED HER BICYCLE...
(Bike bell ringing)
Tim says,
GRABBED HER TOOLKIT AND
PEDALLED TO FIND OUT WHAT THE
PROBLEM WAS.
Harper plays with a purple sock riding a bicycle on the stage.
Hosanna says,
SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE HER EYES.
Ella replies, OH NO.
Harper says,
LOOK, THERE'S BROKEN THINGS
EVERYWHERE!
Hosanna adds,
SO, ONE BY ONE, SHE BEGAN TO
REPAIR THEM.
Harper repairs the broken plate, a damaged pot, and a ladder.
She says,
GOOD AS NEW.
RIGHT AS RAIN.
THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH
THAT.
Halle replies,
OH DEAR, I'M ALWAYS BREAKING
THINGS.
Harper says,
REALLY?
I LOVE REPAIRING THINGS.
(Laughing)
The narrator says,
WHAT A GREAT STORY.
A PRINCE WHO BREAKS THINGS
MEETS A PRINCESS WHO REPAIRS
THINGS.
The sock kiss.
Hosanna says,
AND SO THEY GOT MARRIED, AND
THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER
AFTER.
Reu rushes to the stage as confetti falls.
Tim says,
DING DONG
DING DONG
YAY!
(Cheering and applause)
A circular piece of paper spins. The word “Repair” is written on it.
The narrator asks,
HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO
GREEN TODAY?
THEY REPAIRED THE SOCKS BY
DARNING THEM.
AND THE ODD SOCKS WERE USED TO
PERFORM A GRAND SHOW TO EXPLAIN
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO REPAIR.
Ella says,
WELL DONE, GUYS.
WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB.
YOU ALL DID SO, SO WELL.
AND YOU USED UP SOME OF THE ODD
SOCKS.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT
HAPPENED TO THE OTHERS?
The kids shout, YEAH!

Tim says, OH!
Ella replies, THERE THEY ARE.
Tim says, THERE THEY ARE.

THROW THEM AWAY, DO WE?
(Family agreeing)
Tim says,
YOU KNOW WHAT, GRIMWADE GANG...
The Grimwades shout, LET'S GO GREEN!
The words “Recycle”, “Refuse”, “Reduce”, “Reuse”, and “Repair” appear in the park.
The narrator says,
YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE
GANG TOO.
WHICH OF THE FIVE RS SHALL WE
USE TO GO GREEN TODAY?
SHOULD WE REFUSE?
REDUCE?
REUSE?
REPAIR?
OR RECYCLE?
HOW CAN THE GRIMWADES FIX THEIR
HOLEY SOCKS?
WHICH R DO THE GRIMWADES NEED?
DO YOU KNOW?
The Grimwades shout, LET'S REPAIR!
A circular piece of paper spins. The word “Repair” with a large wrench is written on it.
Ella says,
WE CAN DEFINITELY DARN THESE
SOCKS, WHICH MEANS WE CAN
REPAIR THEM BY SEWING THEM.
Tim adds,
WELL, I'VE GOT A GREAT IDEA
WITH WHAT TO DO WITH THESE
OTHER SOCKS.
ALL RIGHT, SO, SHALL WE GO
AND GET ON WITH IT?
The kids reply, YEAH.
Tim adds, COME ON THEN.
Hosanna, Halle, and Harper walk out of the living room.
Ella says,
AND HEZE, DO YOU WANT
TO COME AND HELP ME?
Heze replies, YEAH, OF COURSE.
Ella asks,
YOU CAN COME AND HELP ME DARN
THESE, YEAH?
Heze holds his soccer ball as he sits with Ella and Houston in the living room. Tim follows the girls out of the living room.
Heze says, COOL, YEAH.
Ella says,
SO, THAT'S HOW WE'RE GOING TO
REPAIR THESE.
The narrator adds,
HEZE'S GOING TO FIND OUT ABOUT
DARNING, A SPECIAL WAY OF
REPAIRING SOCKS.
BUT WHAT HAS DADDY GOT PLANNED?
Reu, Harper, Halle, and Hosanna stand with Tim downstairs.
Tim says,
BECAUSE YOU LOVE DRAMA AND
LOVE PERFORMING SO MUCH,
WE'RE GOING TO TURN THESE INTO
SOCK PUPPETS.
(Kids cheering)
Harper replies, YEAH.
Halle adds, WOW!
Tim, Reu, Harper, Halle, and Hosanna sit on the floor.
Tim says,
ALL RIGHT, SO COOL, SO COME
DOWN HERE.
Halle replies, YEAH.
Reu grabs a box filled with colourful craft items.
Tim says,
OH, REU, LOOK YOU SPOTTED IT
BEFORE I DID.
GO ON THEN, PULL THAT OUT.
ALL RIGHT.
Reu asks, IS THAT MINE?
Tim answers, YES, YOU CAN HAVE THOSE.
The narrator says,
DADDY WILL KEEP AN EYE ON
REU'S SISTERS, WHO ARE ALLOWED
TO USE SCISSORS IF THEY'RE
CAREFUL.
A ball of yellow yarn lays beside the box.
Tim asks,
WHEN WE MAKE THESE PUPPETS,
SHOULD WE PUT ON A SHOW FOR
HEZE AND MUMMY?
Harper, Halle, and Hosanna reply, YEAH.
Tim says,
YEAH, SHALL WE DO THAT?
WOULD THAT BE GOOD?
Harper, Halle, and Hosanna answer, YEAH.
The narrator says,
A SHOW, THAT SOUNDS EXCITING.
SOMETHING ELSE TO MAKE BABY
HOUSTON LAUGH.
HEZE AND MUMMY ARE GETTING
READY TO DARN THE SOCKS.
Ella runs a thread through a sewing needle.
She says,
THIS CAN BE...
IT'S REALLY EASY TO DO.
OH LOOK, MINE WENT STRAIGHT
THROUGH.
Heze runs his thread through a sewing needle.
HE says,
MINE TOO.
IS THAT FINE?
Ella replies, I THINK THAT'LL BE FINE.
The narrator says,
MUMMY STRETCHES A SOCK OVER
A PIECE OF WOOD CALLED A
MUSHROOM, SO SHE CAN SEW OVER
THE HOLE.
Ella and Heze sew socks.
Ella says,
...START BY PUTTING IT
IN HERE, JUST PULL IT THROUGH
GENTLY.
DON'T YOU FEEL LIKE THIS IS
ACTUALLY QUITE RELAXING?
Heze replies, YEAH.
The narrator says, GOOD WORK, HEZE.
A circular piece of paper spins. The word “Repair” is written on it.
Hosanna shouts, REPAIR!
Tim, Hosanna, Halle, Harper, and Reu decorate socks.
Hosanna says, LOOK, DAD.
Her white sock has googly eyes on it.
Tim replies, OH WOW--
The narrator says,
AND LOOK, WHAT'S HAPPENING TO
THE SOCKS TOO OLD TO BE
REPAIRED?
THEY'RE NOT BEING WASTED.
Harper decorates her sock.
She says, DADDY?
Tim replies, YES, DARLING?
The narrator adds,
THEY'RE BEING REPAIRED INTO
THE STARS OF THE SHOW.
Hosanna plays with her decorated grey sock. It has blue and green stickers and red hair.
Tim says,
OH, WOW THAT'S AMAZING.
LOOK, HOSANNA, LOOK AT THE HAIR
ON THAT ONE.
Halle looks at Hosanna’s sock.
She says,
YEAH, THAT'S SO COOL.
LOOK AT ALL OF THE HAIR.
Tim replies,
NICE.
SO, WHY DON'T WE MAKE THE STORY
OF OUR SHOW ABOUT REPAIRING?
The kids reply, YEAH.
Halle adds,
WITH PRINCESSES AND PRINCES.
Tim says,
LOVELY, HALLE, I LOVE THAT IDEA.
Tim sets up a stage for a sock puppet show.
The narrator says,
DADDY LOVES PUTTING ON A SHOW.
USING LOTS OF RECYCLED
MATERIALS, HE MAKES A STAGE FOR
THE SOCKS.
ALL HE NEEDS NOW IS AN
AUDIENCE.
Tim walks into the living room.
He asks, HEY, GUYS, WE FINISHED?
Heze replies, HI, DAD, YEAH.
Ella adds, HELLO, YEAH, WE ARE.
Tim asks,
ARE YOU FINISHED REPAIRING?
Ella answers,
WE HAVE, WE'VE REPAIRED.
AH, VERY GOOD.
Tim says,
BUT I'VE GOT SOME EXCELLENT
NEWS, GUYS.
Heze replies, REALLY?
Tim adds,
WE HAVE GOT A SHOW FOR YOU.
Ella says, AH, HAVE YOU?
Tim replies, ARE YOU AVAILABLE?
Ella answers, YES WE ARE.
She packs up the sewing equipment.
Tim says,
WELL, I'VE GOT TO GO, BECAUSE
IT'S SHOW TIME.
Ella replies,
OKAY, VERY EXCITING.
ALL RIGHT, WE'LL BE THERE.
Tim adds,
BYE.
YOU GET YOURSELVES TOGETHER,
I'LL SEE YOU IN THERE.
Ella says,
YES, COME ON THEN.
LET'S PUT THIS STUFF AWAY.
Tim rushes to the stage.
He says, GUYS, THEY'RE COMING.
The Grimwades shout,
GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES!
Text reads “Go Green With the Grimwades”.
Tim holds Hosanna’s shoulders as she reads from a notebook beside the sock puppet stage. Ella and Houston sit in the audience.
Hosanna reads,
ONCE UPON A TIME,
THERE WAS A PRINCE,
PRINCE THROWAWAY.
HE LIVED IN A BIG CASTLE, IN A
BEAUTIFUL KINGDOM.
Reu carries a drawing of a grey castle in front of the stage.
Tim adds,
BUT HE HAD A PROBLEM.
HE WAS ALWAYS BREAKING THINGS.
(Zapping)
A piece of cardboard in the shape of a television fizzles on the stage.
Hosanna says in a deep voice,
OH DEAR, THE TELEVISION HAS JUST
BROKEN.
(Smashing)
Ella smiles.
Hosanna adds, HE THREW IT AWAY.
A broken plate appears beside Hosanna’s sock puppet on the stage.
Halle says,
OH DEAR, THE PLATE IS BROKEN.
The plate disappears behind the stage.
Tim adds,
BUT WHAT PRINCE THROWAWAY
COULDN'T SEE WAS THE MORE THAT
HE THREW AWAY, THE LESS
BEAUTIFUL HIS KINGDOM BECAME.
IT WAS A DUMP.
A picture of a pile of trash rises onto the stage.
Hosanna adds,
UNTIL ONE DAY,
EVERYTHING WAS PILED SO HIGH
THAT THE THINGS THE PRINCE HAD
THROWN AWAY STARTED POURING
THROUGH THE WINDOWS OF
THE CASTLE.
Halle opens the sock puppet’s mouth.
She shouts, HELP! HELP!
Tim says,
...SHOUTED THE PRINCE.
HE WAS TRAPPED INSIDE THE
CASTLE BY EVERYTHING HE HAD
THROWN AWAY.
HE HAD EVEN THROWN AWAY THE
LADDER, SO HE COULDN'T ESCAPE.
Halle opens the sock puppet’s mouth again.
She shouts, HELP! HELP!
Tim adds,
HE SHOUTED SO LOUDLY,
HIS CRIES WERE HEARD FAR, FAR
AWAY IN THE DISTANT KINGDOM OF
REPAIR.
PRINCESS REPAIR-A-LOT, WHO HAD
JUST REPAIRED HER BICYCLE...
(Bike bell ringing)
Tim says,
GRABBED HER TOOLKIT AND
PEDALLED TO FIND OUT WHAT THE
PROBLEM WAS.
Harper plays with a purple sock riding a bicycle on the stage.
Hosanna says,
SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE HER EYES.
Ella replies, OH NO.
Harper says,
LOOK, THERE'S BROKEN THINGS
EVERYWHERE!
Hosanna adds,
SO, ONE BY ONE, SHE BEGAN TO
REPAIR THEM.
Harper repairs the broken plate, a damaged pot, and a ladder.
She says,
GOOD AS NEW.
RIGHT AS RAIN.
THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH
THAT.
Halle replies,
OH DEAR, I'M ALWAYS BREAKING
THINGS.
Harper says,
REALLY?
I LOVE REPAIRING THINGS.
(Laughing)
The narrator says,
WHAT A GREAT STORY.
A PRINCE WHO BREAKS THINGS
MEETS A PRINCESS WHO REPAIRS
THINGS.
The sock kiss.
Hosanna says,
AND SO THEY GOT MARRIED, AND
THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER
AFTER.
Reu rushes to the stage as confetti falls.
Tim says,
DING DONG
DING DONG
YAY!
(Cheering and applause)
A circular piece of paper spins. The word “Repair” is written on it.
The narrator asks,
HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO
GREEN TODAY?
THEY REPAIRED THE SOCKS BY
DARNING THEM.
AND THE ODD SOCKS WERE USED TO
PERFORM A GRAND SHOW TO EXPLAIN
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO REPAIR.
Ella says,
WELL DONE, GUYS.
WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB.
YOU ALL DID SO, SO WELL.
AND YOU USED UP SOME OF THE ODD
SOCKS.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT
HAPPENED TO THE OTHERS?
The kids shout, YEAH!
Heze walks toward the stage wearing one grey sock and one yellow one.
Tim says, OH!
Ella replies, THERE THEY ARE.
Tim says, THERE THEY ARE.
Halle adds, THERE!
Heze says,
THEY'RE ON MY FEET.
DO YOU THINK THEY LOOK GOOD?
Tim adds,
THEY LOOK REALLY GOOD.
YOU KNOW WHAT, GRIMWADE GANG?
WE'VE GONE GREEN!
The Grimwades shout, YEAH!
Text reads “Go Green With the Grimwades”.
Ella holds Houston as she stands under a tree with Tim in the park.
Tim says, WE'VE GONE GREEN.
Ella adds, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN.
The kids dance.
The Grimwades sing,
GO GREEN, GO GREEN
GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN
GO GREEN, GO GREEN,
TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN
Heze sings,
THE ARCTIC IS
STARTING TO MELT
SO THE POLAR BEARS,
THEY NEED YOUR HELP
Harper sings,
AND WHERE THEY LIVE
NEEDS LOOKING AFTER
GO GREEN, GREEN,
IS THE ANSWER
The Grimwades carry recycling banners as they march across the park.
They sing,
GO GREEN, GO GREEN
GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN
GO GREEN, GO GREEN,
TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN
Tim sings,
THE ANSWER'S
OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR
USING LESS
AND RECYCLING MORE
Ella sings,
ALL THE LITTLE THINGS YOU DO
REALLY HELP YOUR PLANET, TOO
The Grimwades sing,
GO GREEN, GO GREEN
GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN
GO GREEN, GO GREEN,
TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN
Ella sings,
IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK
IT'S PICKING IT UP
IT'S FEEDING THE BIRDS
AND REUSING YOUR CUP
The narrator says,
YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE
GANG, SO GO GREEN AS WELL.
SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY SOCKS THAT
YOU CAN REPAIR INSTEAD OF
THROWING THEM AWAY.
THANKS FOR VISITING THE
GRIMWADES.
SEE YOU NEXT TIME.
The Grimwades bow in front of the sock puppet stage.
Harper shouts, REFUSE!
Hosanna shouts, REDUCE!
Heze shouts, REUSE!
Halle says, REPAIR.
Reu shouts, RECYCLE!
Text reads “Go Green With the Grimwades”.
The Grimwades sing,
GO GREEN, GO GREEN
GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN
GO GREEN, GO GREEN,
TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN
Text reads, “5. A Doc Hearts Production for Channel 5/ Milkshake!”.
