The red door on the house opens and Mrs. Grimwade steps out holding a baby with curly brown hair. Mrs. Grimwade has short, platinum-blond hair and wears a white, short-sleeved blouse, a bracelet and hoop earrings.
Mrs. Grimwade says, HELLO. WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE.
She smiles and waves.
The narrator says, THERE'S MUMMY, ELLA. BABY HOUSTON.
[Baby Houston cooing]
The narrator says, AWW, ISN'T SHE CUTE?
A toddler with curly brown hair wearing a white T-shirt runs through Ella’s legs.
The narrator says, THIS IS REU.
Reu waves.
The narrator says, HELLO, REU!
Reu says, HELLO.
Three girls wearing matching long-sleeved pink and grey striped shirts stand in the front yard.
The narrator says, THAT'S HARPER.
Harper, the shortest, wears her long, curly brown hair in a high, side ponytail.
Harper says, HELLO.
The narrator says, NEXT, IT'S HALLE.
Halle wears her long, curly brown hair in buns.
Halle says, HELLO.
The narrator says, BIG SISTER, HOSANNA.
Hosanna, the tallest, wears her long, curly brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Hosanna says, HEY.
The narrator says, AND THE OLDEST OF ALL, HEZE, WHO LOVES FOOTBALL.
Heze has long, curly dark hair and wears a white T-shirt. He kicks a ball against the blue garage door.
[Whistle blowing]
The narrator says, AND FINALLY DADDY, TIM.
At the end of the driveway, Tim waves. He has short brown hair and a neatly trimmed beard and wears a white T-shirt. The rest of the family gathers in the middle of the driveway.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tim sings, THIS IS WHERE THE GRIMWADES LIVE.
The Grimwades all sing, MUM, DAD, SISTERS AND BROTHERS. LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER, YES, WE'RE LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER.
Tim joins his family and puts his arm around Ella. In a cardboard park, Tim walks down a path with Houston and Reu. Heze, Harper and Halle pick up trash on the grass.
Tim sings, IN THE PARK, THERE ARE BUTTERFLIES, TREES, BIRDS AND BLUE SKIES. TO KEEP THE PLACES WE LOVE CLEAN…
Heze picks up a paper take-out box with a grabber and drops it in a recycling bin.
He sings, THE GRIMWADES ARE GOING GREEN.
In a cardboard grocery store, Ella and Hosanna shop in the produce section.
Ella sings, DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU SHOP WHAT YOU BUY CAN HELP A LOT? IT REALLY IS FANTASTIC…
Hosanna takes a plastic water bottle off a cashier’s conveyor belt.
She sings, WHEN YOU SAY NO TO PLASTIC.
[Gentle music plays]
At the Grimwade’s house, the Grimwade’s sit around their dining table.
The narrator says, THIS IS THE GRIMWADE FAMILY.
[Grimwade family chatting]
Ella says, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH.
Tim says, I'LL REMEMBER THAT.
[Ella laughing]
The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING GREEN BY USING THE FIVE R’S.

Ella covers Hosanna’s eyes and leads her into a room. She uncovers Ella’s eyes.

The cardboard circles float around the cardboard park.

Inside the Grimwade’s house, Ella and Tim stand outside one of the bedrooms upstairs.
Ella says, OH, I CAN'T BELIEVE HOSANNA IS NINE TODAY.
Text reads, “Covid-19 guidelines were adhered to during the time of filming.”
[Tim sighing]
Ella says, I REMEMBER WHEN SHE WAS BORN.
Hosanna walks out of the bedroom.
Ella says, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Tim says, HEY, BIRTHDAY GIRL!
Tim and Ella hug Hosanna.
Hosanna says, THANK YOU!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Hosanna sits at the dining table.
The narrator says, IT'S HOSANNA'S BIRTHDAY, SO WHY AREN'T THE GRIMWADES HAVING A PARTY?
Harper, Halle, Heze, Houston and Reu sit at the table. Tim walks in.
Tim says, OKAY, HOSANNA. SO, TODAY IS ALL ABOUT YOU. SO, HERE IS YOUR BIRTHDAY QUIZ.
Hosanna says, SOUNDS EXCITING.
Ella joins her family and says, I'LL START. WOULD YOU RATHER GO TO THE CINEMA OR SHOPPING?
Hosanna says, CINEMA.
Tim asks, HAS ANYONE ELSE GOT ANY QUESTIONS?
The narrator says, I SEE. THEY'RE QUIZZING HOSANNA TO PLAN A SURPRISE PARTY.
Halle asks, HOSANNA, AT A PARTY, WHAT DO YOU LIKE MORE, THE PARTY BAGS OR THE CAKE?
Hosanna says, UM… BOTH.
Harper asks, WHAT PARTY GAMES DO YOU LIKE, MUSICAL STATUES OR PASS THE PARCEL?
Hosanna says, PASS THE PARCEL, BUT GUYS, WHY ARE ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS ABOUT BIRTHDAYS?
The narrator says, OH, NO! HOW CAN THEY KEEP IT A SURPRISE? QUICK, HEZE. THINK OF SOMETHING!
Heze says, NO, THEY'RE NOT, BUT CAN I ASK A QUESTION? DO YOU LIKE REUSING PLASTIC MORE OR RECYCLING?
Hosanna says, REUSING. I DON'T LIKE THINGS THAT CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE AND THEN THEY HAVE TO BE THROWN AWAY. IT'S VERY BAD FOR THE PLANET.
Ella says, THIS IS ALL VERY INTERESTING. BUT DADDY, CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THE PLATES, PLEASE?
Tim says, YEAH, SURE.
Hosanna says, I CAN HELP!
Tim and Ella say, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO.
Tim says, YOU STAY THERE. YOU'RE THE BIRTHDAY GIRL.
Hosanna says, OKAY.
She furrows her brow. Ella and Tim carry their dishes to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Tim says, WHAT HAVE WE GOT, THEN?
Ella says, OKAY, WE'VE GOT LOTS OF IDEAS.
Halle runs in and says, CINEMA!
Ella says, OKAY, A CINEMA PARTY.
Harper runs in and says, PASS THE PARCEL!
Tim says, PARCEL. THAT'S GOOD.
Ella says, WE’VE GOT PAPER FOR THAT.
Tim says, YEAH.
Harper adds, AND PARTY BAGS.
Ella says, ON THE LIST ALREADY.
Reu runs in and says, AND CAKE.
Tim says, WE CAN'T FORGET CAKE.
Heze runs in and adds, AND DEFINITELY NO PLASTIC.
Ella loudly says, DEFINITELY NO PLASTIC.
Tim says, SHH, MUMMY!
Ella quietly says, OH, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO RETHINK THIS.
She looks at her list.
Tim whispers, GRIMWADE GANG...
Everyone in the kitchen whispers, LET'S GO GREEN!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
In the cardboard park, the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” circles appear.
The narrator says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, TOO. WHICH OF THE FIVE R’S SHOULD WE USE TO GO GREEN TODAY? SHOULD WE REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, REPAIR, OR RECYCLE?
The Grimwades sit at the table.
The narrator says, THE GRIMWADE FAMILY WANT TO PUT ON A PARTY FOR HOSANNA. THERE ARE LOTS OF THINGS ON THE SHOPPING LIST. BUT HOW CAN THEY MAKE SURE THERE ISN'T ANY SINGLE-USE PLASTIC?
A pile of plastic forks, spoons, and straws is shown.
The narrator asks, DO YOU KNOW?
Everyone in the kitchen says, LET'S REFUSE!
Tim then says, SHH!
[Others schussing]
Tim quietly says, LET'S GO GREEN QUIETLY.
Ella quietly says, FANTASTIC. BOYS, HERE'S YOUR SHOPPING LIST.
She gives Tim the list.
Tim says, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Ella says, GIRLS, WE'VE GOT SO MUCH TO GET ON WITH AS WELL.
Tim says, REMEMBER, WHATEVER YOU GET, NO PLASTIC.
He returns to the table.
Hosanna says, WANT TO PLAY WITH HOUSTON IN THE LOUNGE.
Tim says, AH, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA. SHE WILL LOVE THAT.
Hosanna holds Houston. Outside in the driveway, Tim holds Reu’s hand. Heze closes the side door behind him.
Reu says, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PARTY.
Tim says, YEAH, IT'S GOING TO BE GOOD.
Heze says, ME, TOO.
Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT? BEFORE WE GO SHOPPING, LET ME JUST CHECK THE SHOPPING LIST.
Heze says, OH, YOU GOT THE LIST. GOOD.
Tim checks the list. A blond-haired woman and a brown-haired man walk down the sidewalk.
Tim says, YEAH, SO, WE GOT PLATES.
The blond-haired woman says, HI, TIM!
Tim distractedly says, HEY, KAY, HEY, BEN. YOU OKAY?
Kay, the blond-haired woman, and Ben, the brown-haired man, continue down the sidewalk. Tim looks at the list.
Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT? KAY, YOU DON'T HAVE ANY PLATES THAT WE COULD BORROW, DO YOU?
Kay says, YEAH, OF COURSE WE HAVE. DO YOU WANT TO COME OVER?
Tim says, YES, PLEASE. THANK YOU.
He follows Kay and Ben onto the street.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Inside, Ella cuts a sandwich.
The narrator says, BACK AT THE GRIMWADES', MUMMY'S MAKING SANDWICHES.
Ella places sliced sandwiches on a plate. At the table, Halle draws straight red lines on a paper bag.
The narrator says, BUT WHAT ABOUT HARPER AND HALLE?
Also at the table, Harper colours between the lines with a red crayon.
The narrator says, WELL, HOSANNA SAID SHE LIKES WATCHING FILMS. SO HER SISTERS ARE MAKING POPCORN BAGS THAT LOOK LIKE THE ONES YOU GET IN THE CINEMA.
In the kitchen, Ella pours popcorn kernels into a large metal pot on the stove.
[Kernels clanking]
Ella says, THAT WILL BE ENOUGH.
Harper says, YEAH.
Ella says, THEN I'M GOING TO POP THE LID ON.
She puts a lid on the pot.
Ella says, AND WE'RE GOING TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
Harper and Halle watch the kernels.
[Halle gasping]
Ella says, THE KERNELS ARE TURNING INTO POPCORN!
Halle says, I CAN SEE IT!
Ella says, AND LISTEN.
Harper says, I CAN SEE IT!
Ella asks, CAN YOU HEAR IT?
The kernels pop into popcorn.
The narrator says, HALLE AND HARPER STAY BACK, BECAUSE THE COOKER IS HOT.
[Kernels popping]
Ella says, WE DON'T HAVE TO PUT ANYTHING ON IT. THERE'S A WONDERFUL, HEALTHY SNACK TO HAVE.
Harper says, YEAH.
Elle adds, AND I'VE GOT A BANANA FOR REU AND HOUSTON, BECAUSE LITTLE CHILDREN CAN'T REALLY EAT POPCORN.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Halle reads the cardboard circle with an X on it.
Halle says, REFUSE!
Outside, Tim says, THANKS FOR THE PLATES, GUYS! WE'LL BRING THEM BACK TOMORROW. IS THAT OKAY?
He leaves Kay and Ben’s house with a stack of places. Heze and Reu each carry plates.
The narrator says, ENOUGH PLATES FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT USING PLASTIC.
At the table in the Grimwade’s house, Ella scoops popcorn into one of the striped paper bags. Harper eats a piece of popcorn.
Ella says, IS IT TASTY, HARPER?
Harper says, YEAH.
[Ella laughing]
[Door squeaking]
Tim returns with Heze and Reu.
Tim says, HEY, GUYS.
Tim says, OH, HIYA.
Tim, Heze and Reu put their plates on the table.
Ella says, OH, I THOUGHT YOU WAS GOING SHOPPING.
Tim says, WE SAW KAY OUTSIDE, AND SHE SAID WE CAN BORROW WHATEVER WE LIKE.
Ella says, THAT'S FANTASTIC. OH, I WONDER IF YOU COULD BORROW ALICE'S PROJECTOR AND MAYBE SOME DECK CHAIRS, BECAUSE THEN WE CAN CREATE A CINEMA.
Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M ON IT. HEZE, HERE'S THE LIST.
He passes the list to Heze.
Heze says, THANK YOU.
Tim says, SEE YOU IN A BIT.
He leaves.
The narrator says, AND NEXT ON THE LIST IS MAKING A PASS THE PARCEL.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Title: Go Green with the Grimwades. In the sunroom, Heze sits on a cushion on the floor with Reu. Heze holds something wrapped in newspaper.
Heze says, IT'S WRAPPED UP RIGHT NOW, BUT THERE'S SOMETHING SPECIAL INSIDE OF THIS. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS INSIDE?
Rue guesses, A MOTORBIKE?
Heze says, A MOTORBIKE? IT MIGHT BE. YOU NEVER KNOW. IT'S A MYSTERY. AND WE'RE REFUSING USING NEW PAPER AND NEW PLASTIC, AND WE'RE REUSING THIS OLD PAPER.
[Paper rustling]
Heze says, SO, IS THAT GOOD?
Reu says, YEAH, AND NOT THROW IT AWAY.
Heze says, GOOD BOY. PUT IT HERE.
Heze and Rue bump their fists together.
Heze says, LET'S KEEP WRAPPING IT UP.
The narrator says, I WONDER IF REU WILL BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO WIN THE PRIZE.
Heze and Rue wrap the parcel in more newspaper.
The narrator says, PLATES, A PASS THE PARCEL, POPCORN FOR THE PARTY BAGS, AND A BIRTHDAY CAKE.
Heze puts the parcel on the table with the sandwiches. Halle and Harper load party bags with popcorn bags and notes that read, “Hosanna’s Birthday Cinema!” Tim holds Reu next to a birthday cake in a box.
Tim says, AH, DO YOU WANT SOME?
The narrator says, EVERYTHING READY FOR A CINEMA PARTY, AND NO SINGLE PLASTIC IN SIGHT.
In the driveway, Tim and Heze move deck chairs.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Inside, Tim, Ella, Heze, Halle, Harper, Ella and Reu stand around the table.
Tim says, ALRIGHT, GUYS, I'VE GOT THE PROJECTOR, BUT WE BETTER GET GOING NOW.
Heze says, OKAY, YEAH, YEAH.
Ella says, I'VE JUST LEFT ONE THING OFF THE LIST. YOU KNOW, LIKE, A BIRTHDAY BANNER THAT SAYS "HAPPY BIRTHDAY." I COULD GO TO THE SHOPS, BUT OFTEN, THEY'RE MADE OF PLASTIC, TOO.
Heze says, OH YEAH.
Tim says, DON'T WORRY. I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THAT, AND I'VE GOT A PLAN, OKAY? LET'S GO!
The narrator says, THE PARTY IS GOING TO BE AT A HALL.
Reu carries a stack of three plates outside.
The narrator says, EVER SO QUIET AS YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE!
Harper and Halle follow Reu out the door.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
In the living room, Hosanna sits with Houston on the couch. They play with a ball.
Whispering, the narrator says, HOSANNA STILL DOESN'T KNOW A THING.
Hosanna says, GREEN IS MY FAVOURITE COLOUR.
Ella walks in and says, AH, THANKS FOR PLAYING WITH HOUSTON, HOSANNA. DO YOU FANCY GOING FOR A WALK IN A BIT?
[Houston babbling]
Hosanna says, SURE!
She furrows her brow and says, MUM, WHERE'S EVERYBODY ELSE GONE?
Ella says, OH, THEY'VE JUST POPPED OUT. THEY'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING SPECIAL.
Hosanna frowns and says, OKAY.
The narrator says, OH, YES, THEY ARE!
[Upbeat music plays]
At a hall, Tim sets up a light projector.
The narrator says, EVERYONE IS GETTING THE BIRTHDAY SURPRISE READY. A PARTY WITHOUT PLASTIC.
Colourful lights shine up the walls. String lights line the trim. Halle unfolds a paper decoration.
The narrator says, PAPER DECORATIONS AND BUNTING FROM REUSED MATERIAL.
Paper decorations hang from a string.
The narrator says, AND EVEN ONE SURPRISE THAT MUMMY DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT.
Tim films Heze.
[Heze talking indistinctly]
Heze says, …HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
The narrator says, THE GUESTS HAVE ARRIVED, WHICH JUST LEAVES ONE PERSON TO MAKE THEIR ENTRANCE: THE BIRTHDAY GIRL.
A long-haired woman and two girls walk into the hall and wave. Heze, Halle, Harper and Reu wave. In the parking lot, Ella pushes a stroller. Hosanna walks beside her.
Ella says, IN YOU COME. I THINK YOU MIGHT NEED TO CLOSE YOUR EYES.
She walks into the building with Hosanna and the stroller. Ella covers Hosanna’s eyes.
Ella says, AND...
She leads Hosanna into the hall and then uncovers her eyes.
Ella says, OPEN THEM!
Hosanna opens her eyes.
Everyone yells, SURPRISE!
Hosanna screams, AH!
[Upbeat music plays]
Hosanna hugs her siblings.
She says, THANKS GUYS.
Reu says, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Tim hugs his children.
Hosanna says, OH MY, IT'S JUST GREAT!
A green cake with a red border reads, “Go Green.”
[Laughing]
Hosanna says, THERE'S NO PLASTIC!
The narrator says, YOU'VE GOT IT, HOSANNA.
[Cheering]
The narrator says, NO SINGLE-USE PLASTIC IS INVITED TO THIS PARTY.
The party guests dance. Hosanna holds Tim’s hand and spins.
Ella asks, YOU OKAY?
[Cheering]
[Upbeat music continues]
Hosanna and her friends gather sandwiches and vegetables on the borrowed plates.
The narrator says, WHILE HOSANNA CATCHES UP WITH HER FRIENDS, REU CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY PASS THE PARCEL.
Reu, Tim, Heze, Halle and Harper sit in a circle on the floor and pass around the newspaper-wrapped parcel.
Tim says, WELL DONE.
Reu starts to pass the parcel to Harper.
[Music stops]
The narrator says, THE MUSIC STOPPED.
Harper takes the parcel.
Laughing, Trim says, THAT’S REU.
Heze says, IT’S REU!
Harper passes the parcel back to Reu.
The narrator says, SO REU GETS TO UNWRAP A LAYER.
Reu unwraps a layer of newspaper on the parcel.
The narrator says, OH, NO, NOT THIS TIME.
[Upbeat music continues]
Harper passes the parcel around the circle. Reu passes it back to Harper.
[Music stops]
The narrator says, YOUR CHANCE, HARPER.
Tim says, YAY!
The narrator says, NO.
Tim says, AW!
[Upbeat music continues]
Harper passes the parcel around the circle. Tim passes it to Reu.
[Upbeat music stops]
[Gasping]
Tim says, YOU'VE GOT IT!
Heze says, YOU GOT IT!
Tim says, GO ON, REU, OPEN.
Reu rips a piece of newspaper.
[Halle gasping]
Tim says, OH, REU!
Heze says, WOW!
Tim asks, WHAT DID YOU GET?
Halle says, IT'S A DINOSAUR.
The narrator says, YES! IT'S A DINOSAUR!
Reu holds a toy dinosaur.
He says, I WON THE GAME.
Later, during the party, Ella and Tim stand at a table with the party bags. Ella holds Houston.
Tim holds Reu’s new dinosaur.
Ella says, SUCH A FANTASTIC PARTY. SHE'S HAVING A GREAT TIME! IT'S A SHAME ABOUT THE BANNER, THOUGH.
Houston reaches for the toy dinosaur.
[Houston babbling]
Tim says, I TOLD YOU I HAD A PLAN. CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE?
Everyone turns toward Tim. On a white wall, a projection reads, “Happy Birthday Hosanna.”
Tim says, TURN DOWN THE LIGHTS.
People say, OOH.
The narrator says, INSTEAD OF A BANNER, THE GRIMWADES HAVE MADE A VIDEO OF ALL THE TIMES HOSANNA HAS GONE GREEN.
A video plays on the wall. Ella sits in one of the deck chairs with Houston on her lap, and they watch the video with the other party guests.
The narrator says, LOOK, THEY'VE RECORDED MESSAGES, TOO.
In one of the messages, Harper says, LOVE YOU!
Hosanna watches the video.
Ella says, AH, I LOVE THAT. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HOSANNA.
Hosanna says, A PARTY WITHOUT PLASTIC. THANK YOU SO MUCH, EVERYONE.
Tim says, A THUMBS UP FROM HOSANNA. WE HAVE REFUSED.
[Cheerful music plays]
The narrator asks, HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY?
In a flashback, Harper colours a popcorn bag. Heze and Reu wrap the dinosaur toy in pieces of newspaper.
The narrator says, THEY REFUSED SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BUT STILL GAVE HOSANNA A BRILLIANT PARTY.
In a flashback, Ella uncovers Hosanna’s eyes.
[Hosanna screaming]
At the party, Hosanna says, THANKS, GUYS!
She puts her arms around her parents.

[Houston babbling in the background]

Everyone at the party says, WE'VE GONE GREEN!
[Cheering]
[Dinging]
In the cardboard park, Tim says, WE'VE GONE GREEN.
Ella says, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN.
[Upbeat music plays]

The entire Grimwade family dances.

Tim checks the list. A blond-haired woman and a brown-haired man walk down the sidewalk.

Kay, the blond-haired woman, and Ben, the brown-haired man, continue down the sidewalk. Tim looks at the list.
Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT? KAY, YOU DON'T HAVE ANY PLATES THAT WE COULD BORROW, DO YOU?
Kay says, YEAH, OF COURSE WE HAVE. DO YOU WANT TO COME OVER?
Tim says, YES, PLEASE. THANK YOU.
He follows Kay and Ben onto the street.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Inside, Ella cuts a sandwich.
The narrator says, BACK AT THE GRIMWADES', MUMMY'S MAKING SANDWICHES.
Ella places sliced sandwiches on a plate. At the table, Halle draws straight red lines on a paper bag.
The narrator says, BUT WHAT ABOUT HARPER AND HALLE?
Also at the table, Harper colours between the lines with a red crayon.
The narrator says, WELL, HOSANNA SAID SHE LIKES WATCHING FILMS. SO HER SISTERS ARE MAKING POPCORN BAGS THAT LOOK LIKE THE ONES YOU GET IN THE CINEMA.
In the kitchen, Ella pours popcorn kernels into a large metal pot on the stove.
[Kernels clanking]
Ella says, THAT WILL BE ENOUGH.
Harper says, YEAH.
Ella says, THEN I'M GOING TO POP THE LID ON.
She puts a lid on the pot.
Ella says, AND WE'RE GOING TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
Harper and Halle watch the kernels.
[Halle gasping]
Ella says, THE KERNELS ARE TURNING INTO POPCORN!
Halle says, I CAN SEE IT!
Ella says, AND LISTEN.

Ella asks, CAN YOU HEAR IT?
The kernels pop into popcorn.

The narrator says, ENOUGH PLATES FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT USING PLASTIC.
At the table in the Grimwade’s house, Ella scoops popcorn into one of the striped paper bags. Harper eats a piece of popcorn.
Ella says, IS IT TASTY, HARPER?

Tim returns with Heze and Reu.

He passes the list to Heze.

[Paper rustling]

Heze says, GOOD BOY. PUT IT HERE.
Heze and Rue bump their fists together.
Heze says, LET'S KEEP WRAPPING IT UP.
The narrator says, I WONDER IF REU WILL BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO WIN THE PRIZE.
Heze and Rue wrap the parcel in more newspaper.
The narrator says, PLATES, A PASS THE PARCEL, POPCORN FOR THE PARTY BAGS, AND A BIRTHDAY CAKE.
Heze puts the parcel on the table with the sandwiches. Halle and Harper load party bags with popcorn bags and notes that read, “Hosanna’s Birthday Cinema!” Tim holds Reu next to a birthday cake in a box.
Tim says, AH, DO YOU WANT SOME?
The narrator says, EVERYTHING READY FOR A CINEMA PARTY, AND NO SINGLE PLASTIC IN SIGHT.
In the driveway, Tim and Heze move deck chairs.

She furrows her brow and says, MUM, WHERE'S EVERYBODY ELSE GONE?

At a hall, Tim sets up a light projector.

Tim films Heze.
[Heze talking indistinctly]

The narrator says, THE GUESTS HAVE ARRIVED, WHICH JUST LEAVES ONE PERSON TO MAKE THEIR ENTRANCE: THE BIRTHDAY GIRL.
A long-haired woman and two girls walk into the hall and wave. Heze, Halle, Harper and Reu wave. In the parking lot, Ella pushes a stroller. Hosanna walks beside her.
Ella says, IN YOU COME. I THINK YOU MIGHT NEED TO CLOSE YOUR EYES.
She walks into the building with Hosanna and the stroller. Ella covers Hosanna’s eyes.
Ella says, AND...
She leads Hosanna into the hall and then uncovers her eyes.

Houston reaches for the toy dinosaur.
[Houston babbling]
Tim says, I TOLD YOU I HAD A PLAN. CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE?
Everyone turns toward Tim. On a white wall, a projection reads, “Happy Birthday Hosanna.”
Tim says, TURN DOWN THE LIGHTS.
People say, OOH.
The narrator says, INSTEAD OF A BANNER, THE GRIMWADES HAVE MADE A VIDEO OF ALL THE TIMES HOSANNA HAS GONE GREEN.
A video plays on the wall. Ella sits in one of the deck chairs with Houston on her lap, and they watch the video with the other party guests.
The narrator says, LOOK, THEY'VE RECORDED MESSAGES, TOO.
In one of the messages, Harper says, LOVE YOU!
Hosanna watches the video.
Ella says, AH, I LOVE THAT. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HOSANNA.
Hosanna says, A PARTY WITHOUT PLASTIC. THANK YOU SO MUCH, EVERYONE.
Tim says, A THUMBS UP FROM HOSANNA. WE HAVE REFUSED.
[Cheerful music plays]
The narrator asks, HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY?
In a flashback, Harper colours a popcorn bag. Heze and Reu wrap the dinosaur toy in pieces of newspaper.
The narrator says, THEY REFUSED SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BUT STILL GAVE HOSANNA A BRILLIANT PARTY.
In a flashback, Ella uncovers Hosanna’s eyes.
[Hosanna screaming]
At the party, Hosanna says, THANKS, GUYS!
She puts her arms around her parents.
Tim says, OH, YOU'RE SO WELCOME.
Ella says, AW, IT WASN'T JUST US.
Tim says, NO, WE HAD LOTS OF HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
[Houston babbling in the background]
Tim says, GRIMWADE GANG...
Everyone at the party says, WE'VE GONE GREEN!
[Cheering]
[Dinging]
In the cardboard park, Tim says, WE'VE GONE GREEN.
Ella says, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tim and Ella sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
The entire Grimwade family dances.
They all sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Heze sings, THE ARCTIC IS STARTING TO MELT SO THE POLAR BEARS THEY NEED YOUR HELP.
Hosanna sings, AND WHERE THEY LIVE NEEDS LOOKING AFTER, GOING GREEN IS THE ANSWER.
The Grimwade kids sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
Heze, Hosanna, Halle, Harper and Reu march around the park holding signs with the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” text and symbols.
The kids sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Outside the cardboard house, Tim sings, THE ANSWER'S OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR USING LESS AND RECYCLING MORE.
Ella sings, ALL THE LITTLE THINGS YOU DO REALLY HELP THE PLANET TOO.
In the park, the entire family sings, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN. GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Ella walks through the park.
She sings IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK.
Ella waves to Heze, Hosanna, and Halle, who are picking up trash in the park.
She sings, IT'S PICKING IT UP.
Tim hangs a plastic water bottle bird feeder in a tree.
Ella sings, IT'S FEEDING THE BIRDS.
[Birds chirping]
Ella holds up a reusable cup.
She sings, AND REUSING YOUR CUP.
At the party, Heze says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, SO GO GREEN, TOO.
In a flashback, Ella uncovers Hosanna’s eyes.
The party guests shout, SURPRISE!
In the present, Heze says, DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOUR BIRTHDAY. YOU CAN MAKE A PASS THE PARCEL WITH YOUR OLD MAGAZINES AND NEWSPAPERS NOW.
In a flashback, Tim, Heze, Halle, Harper and Reu play pass the parcel.
Reu says, I WON THE GAME.
In the present, Heze says, IT'S A GREAT GAME ALL YEAR ROUND.
He holds up Reu’s new dinosaur.
[Heze roaring like a dinosaur]
The narrator says, GOOD IDEA! THANK YOU, HEZE, AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE GRIMWADES. SEE YOU NEXT TIME.
