The red door on the house opens, and Mrs. Grimwade steps out, holding a baby with curly brown hair. Mrs. Grimwade has short, platinum-blond hair and wears a white, short-sleeved blouse, a bracelet and hoop earrings.
Mrs. Grimwade says, HELLO. WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE.
She smiles and waves.
The narrator says, THERE'S MUMMY, ELLA. BABY HOUSTON.
[Baby Houston cooing]
The narrator says, AWW, ISN'T SHE CUTE?
A toddler with curly brown hair wearing a white T-shirt runs through Ella’s legs.
The narrator says, THIS IS REU.
Reu waves.
The narrator says, HELLO, REU!
Reu says, HELLO.
Three girls wearing matching long-sleeved pink and grey striped shirts stand in the front yard.
The narrator says, THAT'S HARPER.
Harper, the shortest, wears her long, curly brown hair in a high, side ponytail.

Hosanna, the tallest, wears her long, curly brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Heze has long, curly dark hair and wears a white T-shirt. He kicks a ball against the blue garage door.
[Whistle blowing]

At the end of the driveway, Tim waves. He has short brown hair, a neatly trimmed beard, and wears a white T-shirt. The rest of the family gathers in the middle of the driveway.
[Upbeat music plays]

The Grimwades all sing, MUM, DAD, SISTERS AND BROTHERS. LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER, YES, WE'RE LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER.
Tim joins his family and puts his arm around Ella. In a cardboard park, Tim walks down a path with Houston and Reu. Heze, Halle and Harper pick up trash on the grass.
Tim sings, IN THE PARK, THERE ARE BUTTERFLIES, TREES, BIRDS AND BLUE SKIES. TO KEEP THE PLACES WE LOVE CLEAN…
Heze picks up a paper take-out box with a grabber and drops it in a recycling bin.
He sings, THE GRIMWADES ARE GOING GREEN.
In a cardboard grocery store, Ella and Hosana shop in the produce section.
Ella sings, DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU SHOP WHAT YOU BUY CAN HELP A LOT? IT REALLY IS FANTASTIC…
Hosanna takes a plastic water bottle off a cashier’s conveyor belt. ß
She sings, WHEN YOU SAY NO TO PLASTIC.
In a garden, Ella holds Reu’s hand. They walk behind Halle and Hosanna. At the house, Hosanna passes Tim a reusable bag of leafy vegetables.
The narrator says, THIS IS THE GRIMWADE FAMILY.
Tim calls out, CHEF?
Heze walks up to the door wearing a chef’s hat.
He says, YEP?
Tim asks, ANYTHING YOU CAN DO WITH THIS?
The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING GREEN BY USING THE FIVE R’S.

In the Grimwades house, the Grimwades stand by a world map on the wall.

[Cheerful music plays]
The cardboard circles float around the cardboard park.

Harper shouts, REFUSE!

Tim walks in and asks, WHAT'S GOING ON OUT HERE?
Ella steps forward and says, OH, WE'RE PLAYING A NEW OPPOSITES GAME, SO HARPER IS LEARNING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EAR AND FAR. WHAT DOES NEAR MEAN, HARPER?
Harper says, IT MEANS YOU'RE VERY CLOSE TO SOMEONE.
Halle says, LIKE I'M VERY CLOSE TO HARPER.
Tim says, YOU ARE VERY CLOSE TO HARPER, HALLE. WHAT'S THE OPPOSITE OF NEAR, THEN?
On the stairs, Hosanna shouts, FAR!
Tim returns to the kitchen with Reu and Heze.
The narrator says, IN THE KITCHEN, DADDY, HEZE AND REU ARE MAKING A HEALTHY FRUIT SALAD.
Tim stands at the sink with Reu and a container of grapes. Heze gathers kiwi, pineapple, bananas and apples on the counter.
Heze says, …AND APPLES.
Tim says, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, AND DON'T FORGET THE GRAPES OVER HERE.
Heze says, OH, YES.
In the entryway, Ella hangs a large map of the world on the wall by the door.
The narrator asks, WHAT ARE THE OTHERS UP TO?
Hosanna walks over with Harper and Halle.
Hosanna says, OH, IT'S A MAP OF THE WORLD!
Ella says, THAT'S RIGHT, DO YOU KNOW WHERE WE ARE?
Hosanna says, YEAH, THE UNITED KINGDOM.
She points to the U.K. on the map.
Ella says, EXACTLY, SO WE'RE HERE AND WE'RE PART OF THE CONTINENT OF EUROPE.
She places a sticker with a house on the map.
Elle says, SPAIN IS THIS LARGE AREA DOWN HERE, BUT THE REST OF THE WORLD IS SO BIG, THERE'S SO MANY DIFFERENT PLACES.
Heze walks in, holding an orange.
He says, DID YOU JUST SAY SPAIN? THAT'S WHERE THESE ORANGES COME FROM.
Heze looks at a label on a mesh bag.
The narrator says, ON FOOD LABELS, YOU CAN FIND OUT IF YOUR FOOD HAS COME FROM NEAR OR FAR.
A label on the Kiwi packaging reads, Chili. The orange mesh bag reads Spain.
Ella says, THAT'S WHY I PUT THIS MAP UP, SO YOU GUYS CAN SEE WHERE ALL OF OUR FOOD COMES FROM. SO, HOSANNA, CAN YOU MARK IT ON THE MAP PLEASE?
Hosanna says, YEP, RIGHT HERE.
She puts a sticker with an orange slice on the map.
Ella says, THERE YOU GO, THAT'S RIGHT. AND HEZE, WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU GOT IN THERE?
Heze says, LET'S GO SEE.
He returns to the kitchen and grabs a mesh bag of kiwis.
Heze shouts, KIWI FROM CHILE, MUM.
Hosanna adds a sticker with a kiwi slice to the map on the continent of South America.
Heze looks at a label on the container of grapes.
The narrator says, OUR FOOD COMES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Hosanna adds a stick with grapes to the map of the continent of Africa. Heze grabs the pineapple, and Halle adds a pineapple sticker to South America.
Heze says, WE HAVE ANOTHER FRUIT FROM COSTA RICA, WHICH ARE BANANAS.
Halle puts a banana sticker under the pineapple.
The narrator says, MUMMY IS WORKING OUT JUST HOW FAR BY COUNTING UP THE FOOD MILES.
Ella lists fruits and kilometres in a notebook. In the kitchen, Reu knocks sliced fruit off a cutting board into a bowl with a wooden spoon.
Heze says, ALL OF IT IN. GOOD BOY.
Tim says, OH, THIS IS LOOKING GOOD, GUYS, BUT IMAGINE IF ALL WE DO IS EAT FOOD FROM FAR, FAR AWAY, THINK OF ALL THE FUEL THAT'S USED TO GET IT TO OUR HOUSE.
A video shows people riding a truck through a field.
The narrator says, EVERYTHING WE BUY HAS A CARBON FOOTPRINT. THAT'S THE AMOUNT OF CARBON THAT'S BEEN RELEASED MAKING AND GETTING THE FOOD TO OUR PLATE.
A forklift driver stacks bins of apples. A container ship glides through the ocean.
Tim says, AND LOTS OF FOOD MILES AREN'T GOOD FOR OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT.
From the living room, Ella says, OH NO!
Tim asks, WHAT?
Ella says, YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS.
Reu runs up to Ella.
Ella says, 26,758 MILES!
Reu says, OH NO!
The narrator says, THAT'S VERY FAR AWAY.
Heze says, YEAH, BUT TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THEY ALL COME IN PLASTIC.
He walks in with the fruit packaging.
Ella asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD DO, REU?
Reu says, GRIMWADE GANG...
The Grimwades all say, …LET'S GO GREEN!

In the cardboard park, the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” circles appear.
The narrator says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, TOO. WHICH OF THE FIVE R'S SHOULD WE USE TO GO GREEN TODAY? SHOULD WE REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, REPAIR, OR RECYCLE?
Ella, Hosanna, Halle and Harper look at the world map.
The narrator asks, DOES THE GRIMWADES' FOOD HAVE TO TRAVEL SO FAR TO REACH THEIR PLATES? IF THEY WANT TO USE FEWER FOOD MILES, WHAT DO THEY NEED? WHAT'S A WORD THAT MEANS LESS?
The Grimwades all say, LET'S REDUCE!
Ella says, THAT'S RIGHT, SO FOR THE REST OF OUR DINNER TONIGHT, LET'S GO AND GET SOME FOOD THAT IS GROWN ENARBY. WHAT WE'LL NEED IS A SHOPPING BAG AND SOME HOMEMADE BISCUITS. COME ON.
Ella takes Reu’s hand.
The narrator says, HMM, I WONDER WHY MUMMY NEEDS BISCUITS.
Elsewhere in the city, Ella follows Hosanna and Halle through a yard with multiple gardens.
Ella says, OFTEN WHERE WE'D COME FOR A WALK, I'VE SEEN THIS PLACE HERE. IT'S CALLED AN ALLOTMENT.
She holds Reu’s hand. Elsewhere in the garden, a man with short brown hair and glasses wears a green jacket and carries a handful of rhubarb.
The narrator says, AN ALLOTMENT IS A SPACE IN THE CITY WHERE PEOPLE ARE GIVEN A PLOT OF LAND TO PRODUCE FOOD.
Chickens walk around a pen. A beekeeper pulls a frame out of a box hive.
The narrator says, EVERYONE IS REALLY FRIENDLY.
The brown-haired man with glasses crouches in one of the gardens. Ella walks over with Hosanna, Harper and Reu.
The narrator says, THIS IS OZZIE.
Ella says, HELLO, CAN WE ASK WHAT YOU'RE DOING, PLEASE?
Ozzie stands and says, YEAH, I'M JUST, JUST FINISHING OFF SOME WEEDING.
He drops a weed in a bucket and turns to a tall plant behind him.
Ozzie says, SO, THESE ARE BROAD BEANS. SO, THESE ARE, LIKE, FULLY GROWN AND READY TO PICK NOW.
Ella says, OH, WOW, LOOK, REU!
She lifts Reu closer to the bean plant.
Reu says, OOH.
The narrator says, LOOK! INSIDE THE POD ARE BROAD BEANS, TASTY!
Ozzie splits open one of the bean pods.
He asks, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE SOME HOME FOR DINNER, THEN?
Ella says, OH, THAT WOULD BE GREAT. THANK YOU!
Ozzie says, NO PROBLEM.
Hosanna and Halle crouch beside a bean plant.
The narrator says, THE SEARCH FOR FOOD NEAR THEIR HOUSE IS OFF TO A GOOD START.
Hosanna and Halle pick beans.
The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING GREEN BY PICKING LOCAL GREEN FOOD.
Ella says, WE'VE BROUGHT SOME HOMEMADE BISCUITS, WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACCEPT SOME OF THESE IN RETURN?
Ozzie says, LOVELY, THAT SEEMS LIKE A FAIR SWAP TO ME.
Ella says, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
She hands Ozzie a package of biscuits wrapped in paper and string.
The narrator says, AH, SO THAT'S WHAT THE BISCUITS WERE FOR. THE GRIMWADES ARE TRYING TO FIND THE FOOD FOR THEIR DINNER NEAR TO THEIR HOUSE TO REDUCE FOOD MILES.
Ella, Hosanna, Halle and Reu walk to a fenced area of the allotment where a woman stands in a large chicken pen.
The narrator asks, WHO ELSE CAN HELP?
[Chickens clucking]
Reu grabs an egg from a chicken coop.
He says, I FOUND A EGG!
The narrator says, THE CHICKEN, IT'S LAID AN EGG FOR RUE, AND THERE ARE LOTS MORE TO COLLECT.
The woman in the chicken pen wears her long blond hair tied back. Reu, Hosanna and Halle collect eggs in baskets.
The narrator says, SOME PEOPLE KEEP CHICKENS TO REDUCE THEIR FOOD MILES.
Halle says, THAT WILL BE 10.
Reu says, THANK YOU FOR THE EGGS, CHICKEN.
Ella offers the blond-haired woman a package of biscuits.
The narrator says, AND AS CARRIE'S GOT MORE THAN SHE CAN USE, SHE'S HAPPY TO DO A SWAP FOR SOME BISCUITS.
Ella says, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
At the house, Tim reaches for his phone in the kitchen.
[Phone ringing]
The narrator says, MUMMY IS RINGING DADDY TO TELL HIM THE GOOD NEWS.
Tim answers a call.
On the call, Ella says, HELLO?
Tim says, HELLO.
Ella says, WE'VE GOT SOME BROAD BEANS AND ABOUT 11 EGGS, CAN YOU DO SOMETHING WITH THAT?
Tim yells into the living room, MUMMY'S GOT EGGS, GUYS!
Heze says, OH THAT’S GOOD.
Tim adds, AND I CAN HEAR THE CHICKENS IN THE BACKGROUND.
Ella says, YEAH, YEAH, I'M STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CHICKENS' PEN NOW.
Tim says, ALSO YOU USUALLY HAVE SOMETHING FOR THE FRUIT SALAD.
Ella says, SOMETIMES IT'S GOOD TO HAVE SOMETHING TO GLAZE IT WITH.
[Clucking]
Ella says, I'VE GOTTA GO, THE KIDS HAVE SPOTTED SOMETHING. OKAY, I'LL SPEAK TO YOU IN A MINUTE, BYE!
[Gentle, cheerful music plays]
At the house, Heze flips through a book at the dining room table. Tim wipes the table with a cloth.
Heze says, EGGS, EGGS, A RECIPE FOR EGGS.
The narrator says, NOW THE COOKS KNOW THE INGREDIENTS, THE TEAM AT HOME CAN GET TO WORK.
Tim and Harper unfold a checkerboard tablecloth.
Tim says, HEY, HARPER, WHY DON'T WE TURN THIS INTO A RESTAURANT?
Harper says, OH YEAH!
Heze says, THAT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA.
He lifts his book, and Tim and Harper lay the tablecloth on the table.
Tim says, WITH FOOD LOCALLY SOURCED.
Harper says, I'LL MAKE THE TABLE LOOK REALLY NICE.
Heze says, AND THE FOOD IS GONNA BE.
He kisses his fingers.
Heze says, MUAH.
At the allotment, a beekeeper pumps smoke into a box hive.
The narrator says, BACK ON THE ALLOTMENT, THE NEXT INGREDIENT HAS BEEN FOUND. BUT WHAT IS IT?
Hosanna and Halle watch the beekeeper from behind a fence.
Ella says, THOSE ARE BEES!
She stands behind Hosanna and Halle with Reu in her arms.
Hosanna and Halle say, OH, LOOK!
[Ella laughing]
Bees fly around the hive.
The narrator says, THE BEES COLLECT NECTAR FROM THE FLOWERS AROUND THE ALLOTMENT AND BRING IT BACK TO THE HIVE.
The beekeeper carefully takes a frame out of the hive.
The narrator says, THEY WORK TOGETHER TO TURN IT INTO HONEY, AND VERY CAREFULLY, BRIAN COLLECTS IT FROM THE HONEYCOMBS.
Brian, the beekeeper, says, HI, NICE TO MEET YOU.
Ella says, OH, HI.
Halle waves and says, HI.
Ella says, THANK YOU FOR LETTING US WATCH.
Brian takes off the hood of his beekeeper suit.
he says, NO PROBLEM, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY SOME OF THE HONEY THE BEES HAVE MADE?
Ella says, WE'D LOVE TO.
Hosanna and Halle say, YEAH!
Ella says, YES, PLEASE.
Brian offers Ella a jar of honey.
Ella says, OH, THANK YOU!
Halle asks, HOW MANY BEES ARE IN A BEEHIVE?
Brian says, IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER, THERE'S 50 TO 60,000 BEES IN A BEEHIVE.
Ella says, THAT'S AMAZING, SO MANY BEES!
Reu nods.
The narrator says, AND WHILE THE BEES CONTINUE THEIR WORK, SO DO THE GRIMWADES.
Hosanna and Halle pull plants out of a garden.
The narrator says, LETTUCE, CHIVES FROM THE HERB GARDEN, RADISHES, ALL READY TO TAKE HOME.
Hosanna places a carton of eggs with the vegetables and honey on a table.
[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

At the house, Harper wears a chef’s hat and apron. She stands at the dining table and wipes forks with a cloth.
The narrator says, AND AT HOME, LOOK WHO IS LAYING THE TABLE...
Harper writes a menu and sets the table.
The narrator says, …IT'S HARPER! FORK, KNIFE, FOLDED NAPKINS, AND A MENU FOR EACH GUEST. THE RESTAURANT IS OPEN.
Heze wears a chef’s hat and apron matching Harper’s. He puts his arm around Harper, looks at the table and nods.
[Knocking]
Harper answers the door. Tim stands behind her with Houston in his arms. Ella stands behind Hosanna and Helle with Reu.
Harper says, HELLO, DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION?
Ella says, YES, WE DO.
Tim asks, DO YOU HAVE SOME FOOD FOR US?
Ella says, IT'S RIGHT HERE.
Hosanna passes Tim a reusable bag full of vegetables from the allotment.
Tim says, ALL RIGHT, CHEF?
Heze walks up to the door.
He says, YEP?
Tim asks, CAN YOU DO ANYTHING WITH THESE?
Heze says, YEAH, JUST GIVE ME A MINUTE.
He takes the bag from Tim.
Tim says, ALL RIGHT, CHEERS.
Heze carries the bag to the kitchen.
The narrator says, WHAT EVERY RESTAURANT NEEDS, FOOD!
Heze cracks an egg into a bowl.
Tim says, NICE ONE, HEZ!
Heze whisks the egg with a fork.
The narrator says, AND THIS IS NOT JUST ANY FOOD.
Heze scrambles the egg in a pot on the stove.
At the table, Harper says, EVERYTHING IS LOCALLY SOURCED.
Ella sits at the end of the table with one of Harper’s menus.
Ella says, OH, IS THAT RIGHT?
Tim stands beside Ella with a towel over his shoulder.
Tim says, MAIS OUI, AT RESTAURANT GRIMWADE, WE ARE REDUCING OUR FOOD MILES AND GOING GREEN.
Heze walks in and stands at the other end of the table.
Ella says, OKAY, COULD YOU TELL ME A BIT MORE ABOUT THE SCRAMBLED EGGS, PLEASE?
Tim says, CERTAINLY, THE SCRAMBLED EGG IS A DELICIOUS EGG WITH FRESHLY CUT CHIVE.
Ella says, I'LL TAKE THAT, PLEASE.
Hosanna says, I'LL TAKE THE EGG SANDWICH, PLEASE.
Halle says, ME TOO.
Harper says, COMING RIGHT UP.
Tim asks, AND FOR YOU, SIR?
Reu says, CAN I HAVE A BOILED EGG, PLEASE?
The narrator says, SCRAMBLED EGG, EGG SANDWICHES AND BOILED EGGS, ALL SERVED WITH A DELICIOUS SALAD FROM OZZIE'S PLOT. OH, AND A REUSABLE NAPKIN FOR THE GENTLEMAN.
Tim tucks a fabric napkin under the collar of Reu’s shirt.
[Narrator chuckling]
Harper serves Hosanna and Halle their egg sandwiches.
Tim says, VERY NICE, HARPER.
The narrator says, IT ALL LOOKS FANTASTIC.
Heze serves Reu his boiled egg.
Tim says, LOVELY, HEZE. VOILA, ENJOY!
[Upbeat music plays]
The narrator says, HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY? THEY REDUCED THEIR FOOD MILES BY GOING TO A NEARBY ALLOTMENT AND TRADING FOR LOCALLY GROWN FRESH FOOD AND VEGETABLES TO EAT.
Hosanna, Halle and Harper look at the world map. Hosanna and Halle pick vegetables from Ozzie’s garden. Brian gives Ella a jar of honey.
At the table, Tim says, AND TO FINISH, WE HAVE A FRUIT SALAD DRIZZLED WITH HONEY FROM LOCAL BEES.
He brings bowls of fruit salad to the table.
Ella says, IT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE FRUIT IN OUR DIET, AND NOW WHEN WE'RE IN THE SHOPS, WE CAN KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR FRUIT GROWN LOCALLY.

Hosanna, Halle and Harper look at the world map. Hosanna and Halle pick vegetables from Ozzie’s garden. Brian gives Ella a jar of honey.
At the table, Tim says, AND TO FINISH, WE HAVE A FRUIT SALAD DRIZZLED WITH HONEY FROM LOCAL BEES.
He brings bowls of fruit salad to the table.
Ella says, IT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE FRUIT IN OUR DIET, AND NOW WHEN WE'RE IN THE SHOPS, WE CAN KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR FRUIT GROWN LOCALLY.
Tim says, SOUNDS TASTY. GRIMWADE GANG…
The Grimwades all say, …WE'VE GONE GREEN!
[Dinging]

In the cardboard park, Tim says, WE'VE GONE GREEN.
Ella says, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tim and Ella sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
The entire Grimwade family dances.
They all sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Heze sings, THE ARCTIC IS STARTING TO MELT SO THE POLAR BEARS THEY NEED YOUR HELP.
Hosanna sings, AND WHERE THEY LIVE NEEDS LOOKING AFTER, GOING GREEN IS THE ANSWER.
The Grimwade kids all sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
Heze, Hosanna, Halle, Harper and Reu march around the park holding signs with the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” text and symbols.
The kids sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Outside the cardboard house, Tim sings, THE ANSWER'S OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR USING LESS AND RECYCLING MORE.
Ella sings, ALL THE LITTLE THINGS YOU DO REALLY HELP THE PLANET TOO.
In the park, the entire family sings, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN. GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Ella walks through the park.
She sings, IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK.
Ella waves to Heze, Halle, and Harper, who are cleaning up the park.
She sings, IT'S PICKING IT UP.
Tim hangs a plastic water bottle bird feeder in a tree.
Ella sings, IT'S FEEDING THE BIRDS.
[Birds chirping]
Ella holds up a reusable cup.
She sings, AND REUSING YOUR CUP.
At the Grimwade’s house, Harper stands by a window with an egg carton eggshell garden.
Harper says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, SO GO GREEN TOO!
One of the Grimwade kids draws a smiley face on the full shell of an egg, fills it with soil and plants a seed.
Harper says, GROW SOME FRESH SEEDS ON YOUR WINDOWSILL, AND IN A FEW DAYS…
The seeds sprout.
Harper says, …YOU'LL REDUCE YOUR FOOD MILES. BYE!
She waves.
The narrator says, THANK YOU, HARPER. AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE GRIMWADES. SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
