The narrator says, BRR... IT'S A FROSTY MORNING.
Harper, Hosanna, Halle, Heze and Reu walk down a path wearing winter coats, hats, boots, scarves and gloves. Harper holds Hosanna’s hand, and Reu holds Heze’s hand.

At home, Houston lies asleep in her crib. Ella lays a pink and white polka dot blanket over her.
The narrator says, INSIDE THE HOUSE, MUMMY'S TUCKING HOUSTON INTO BED, ALL WARM AND COZY. BUT BACK OUTSIDE, GINO HAS TO RETURN TO HIS OWNER.
Tim and the children meet a woman in a parking lot. Gino, the Dachshund, puts his front paws up against her car and wags his tail.
Tim says, THERE YOU GO.
The narrator says, AWW.
Tim passes Gino’s leash to his owner.
Tim says, YOU'RE VERY WELCOME. THANK YOU FOR LETTING US WALK HIM.

At home, Heze walks through the door with his soccer ball.
Behind him, Tim says, COME IN, GUYS, COME IN.
Elle meets the rest of the family at the bottom of the stairs.
Ella says, OH, YOU'RE BACK.
Heze says, IT WAS AMAZING WALKING THE DOG.
Ella asks, DID YOU HAVE A GOOD TIME?
Tim says, HE WAS A REALLY NICE LITTLE DOG.
Heze says, LIKE, YEAH, HE WAS SUCH A GOOD DOG, AS WELL.
Ella says, OKAY, COME IN GUYS.
Reu, Harper, Halle and Hosanna follow Tim and Heze inside. Reu pulls off his gloves.
The narrator says, SEEMS LIKE THE GRIMWADES WANT A DOG OF THEIR OWN.
Tim says, OH, HANG ON. HEZE'S LEFT HIS GLOVE OUTSIDE.
Ella says, DON'T LET ALL THE HEAT OUT.
Tim steps outside and leaves the door open.
The narrator says, WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE, DON'T LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN!
Tim grabs a glove off the ground.
Ella yells out, COME ON, IT'S FREEZING HERE!
The narrator says, QUICK AS YOU CAN, DADDY, CLOSE THE DOOR.
Tim steps back inside and closes the door.
[Door clicking closed]
Inside, Ella says, LET'S TAKE YOUR COAT OFF. IT'S A LOT OF HATS AND GLOVES AND SCARVES.
Tim says, IT REALLY IS.
He kneels beside Harper and places her coat on the table.
Tim says, THE HEAT ESCAPES FROM THIS LITTLE HEAD, DOESN'T IT?
He pulls off Harper’s hat.
Harper says, YEAH.
Tim says, SO, THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THIS ON WHEN WE'RE OUTSIDE.
Ella says, JUST LIKE HEAT ESCAPES FROM THE HOUSE IF YOU LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN.
On a wall, a thermostat reads, 15 degrees Celsius.
The narrator says, THESE NUMBERS SHOW THAT IT'S GOT COLDER IN THE HOUSE.
[Faint whirring]
Ella says, CAN YOU HEAR THAT? THAT'S THE BOILER; IT'S HAVING TO WORK HARDER BECAUSE THE DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN.
Ella walks into the kitchen with Harper.
Ella says, THE BOILER BOILS WATER PRETTY MUCH LIKE THE KETTLE, TO MAKE HOT BOILING WATER.
She turns on a kettle.
Ella says, AND WHEN ALL THE WATER IS HOT, IT GETS CARRIED IN PIPES TO FILL UP THE RADIATORS.
A radiator and pipes in the house are shown. In the family room, Heze hangs up coats on the closet door. Hosanna carries over two more coats.
Tim says, OH, REU, WE'RE STARTING TO WARM UP NOW, AREN'T WE, MISTER?
Reu jogs on the spot.
He says, YEAH!
Tim says, YEAH, BUT IT TAKES A LOT OF ENERGY TO KEEP OUR HOUSE WARM.
A smart device shows the temperature, time, and “Total today.”
Tim says, THIS IS OUR SMART METER. THIS SHOWS US ALL THE ENERGY OR THE FUEL THAT WE'VE USED IN A DAY.
Hosanna and Halle say, OH WOW.
Heze asks, SO, IS THAT HOW MUCH WE'VE USED UP THREE POUNDS?
Tim says, THAT'S JUST FOR ONE DAY. IMAGINE DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY. IT ALL MOUNTS UP, YOU KNOW?
Heze says, OKAY.
Tim explains, SO, THE BOILER IN THE KITCHEN HAS TO WORK HARDER WHEN IT GETS COLDER.
Heze says, OKAY.
Ella walks in with Harper.
Ella says, SO, THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE PLANET AND IF WE WANT OUR HEATING BILL TO GO DOWN...
Tim says, WE NEED TO MAKE SURE NO HEAT ESCAPES. GRIMWADES GANG...
The Grimwades all say, LET'S GO GREEN!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
In the cardboard park, the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” circles appear.
The narrator says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, TOO. WHICH OF THE 5 RS SHALL WE USE TO GO GREEN TODAY? SHOULD WE REFUSE? REDUCE? REUSE? REPAIR? OR RECYCLE?
In a flashback, Tim leaves the door open.
The narrator says, WHEN THE COLD AIR COMES INTO THE HOUSE, THE GRIMWADES NEED MORE HEATING, AND THAT MEANS THEY USE UP MORE FUEL IN THE BOILER. HOW CAN THEY USE LESS HEATING?
The Grimwades all say, LET'S REDUCE!
Ella says, LET'S DO THIS! LET'S REDUCE OUR HEATING BY MAKING SURE WE DON'T LET ANY WARM AIR ESCAPE THROUGH THE DOOR OR ANYWHERE ELSE.
Tim says, WHICH WILL REDUCE OUR FUEL.
Ella says, WHICH WILL REDUCE OUR BILLS AND THE MONEY WE PAY. COME ON, HALLE AND HARPER. SEE YOU LATER.
Halle and Harper follow Ella to the kitchen.
They say, BYE!
Tim says, SEE YOU LATER.
Hosanna waves and says, BYE!
Later in the family room, Reu sits on the floor with a red piece of paper and a blue piece of paper.
The narrator says, TO SHOW REU THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOT AND COLD, MUMMY HAS FILLED TWO TRAYS.
Harper and Halle carry trays of water into the room. Ella holds Houston.
The narrator says, ONE WITH COLD WATER AND ICE AND THE OTHER WITH WARM WATER THAT'S NOT TOO HOT.
Harper and Halle kneel on the floor with Reu and the trays of water over the red and blue papers.
Ella says, SO, PUT THIS ONE ON TOP OF THE BLUE AND WE'LL PUT THIS ONE ON TOP OF THE...
Reu says, RED!
Ella says, RED!
Reu puts his hands in ice water and warm water.
The narrator asks, WHAT DOES THE RED WATER FEEL LIKE, REU?
Rey says, WARM.
Ella says, THAT ONE FEELS WARM, DOESN'T IT?
Houston puts her hand in the warm water.
Ella asks, CAN YOU FEEL THAT, HOUSTON?
Reu puts both his hands in the cold water.
Ella asks, WHAT DOES THIS ONE FEEL LIKE?
Rey says, COLD.
The narrator says, RED FOR HOT, BLUE FOR COLD.
[Gentle, upbeat music plays]
Title: Go Green with the Grimwades. In the living room, Hosanna sits in a chair by a fire in the fireplace and writes in a notebook. Tim walks in with a device plugged into a tablet.
Tim asks, HOSANNA?
Hosanna says, YEAH?
Tim asks, CAN YOU DO ME A FAVOUR AND TAKE SOME VIDEO AROUND THE HOUSE WITH THIS CAMERA?
Hosanna says, SURE.
Tim gives Hosanna the tablet.
Tim says, IT'S NOT JUST ANY CAMERA, THOUGH; IT'S A THERMAL CAMERA.
Hosanna looks at a view of the thermal camera on the tablet.
She says, WOW.
Tim says, AND BASICALLY, WHAT IT DOES IS IT SHOWS WHAT'S HOT AND WHAT'S COLD. THE HOT WILL BE RED AND THE COLD WILL BE BLUE.
Hosanna says, WOW, DAD, LOOK AT THE FIRE; IT'S SO HOT.
The tablet shows the fireplace.
The narrator says, A FIRE IS VERY HOT. TO FIND OUT MORE, REU'S PLAYING A GAME.
In the family room, Halle places two cards on the floor. One shows a teacup, and the other shows an ice cream cone.
Halle says, SO, WE'VE GOT HOT AND COLD.
Ella points to another card on the floor.
She asks, REU, WHAT IS THIS PICTURE OF?
Reu says, A FIRE.
The card shows a campfire.
Ella asks, AND IS THAT A HOT THING OR A COLD THING?
Reu says, A HOT THING. YOU DON'T TOUCH IT.
The narrator says, THAT'S RIGHT, REU KEEP AWAY FROM FIRES.
Halle holds the ice cream card.
Ella asks, WHAT'S THAT A PICTURE OF, REU?
Reu says, THAT IS AN ICE CREAM.
Ella says, AND IS THAT A HOT OR A COLD THING?
Reu says, COLD.
Ella says, THAT'S RIGHT.
The narrator says, WELL DONE, REU!
Elsewhere in the house, the thermal camera shows a person holding a soccer ball.
The narrator asks, NOW, WHO'S THIS?
Hosanna points the camera at Heze.
Chuckling, the narrator says, OH, IT'S HEZE.
On the stairs, Tim says, OKAY, GUYS, WHAT I WANT YOU TWO TO DO IS GO AND FIND ALL THE COLD PLACES IN OUR HOUSE. CAN YOU DO THAT?
Heze and Hosanna say, YEAH.
Hosanna says, COOL.
Heze says, I THINK WE CAN.
Tim says, RIGHT, HEAT DETECTIVES, OFF YOU GO.
Hosanna says, COME ON HEZE.
The narrator says, HOSANNA AND HEZE HAVE TO LOOK FOR THE PARTS OF THE HOUSE THAT ARE BLUE.
In the kitchen, Hosanna and Heze crouch by a cupboard in front of the door.
Heze says, DOWN THERE.
Hosanna says, YEAH.
Heze walks toward the door with the tablet and thermal camera.
The narrator says, AND THE GAP IN THE DOOR SEEMS TO BE THE BIG PROBLEM.
Heze and Hosanna stand on opposite sides of a door with a glass window separating the entryway from the living room.
Hosanna says, IT IS REALLY COLD DOWN HERE, ISN'T IT?
She holds her hand over the trim near the door.
The narrator says, IT'S CAUSING A DRAFT.
Ella walks to the door with Houston in her arms. Harper and Halle stand behind her, either side of Tim.
Ella asks, WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?
Heze says, WE'RE LOOKING FOR PLACES WHERE THE HEAT MIGHT ESCAPE FROM.
Ella says, OKAY. YEAH, IT'S ALWAYS BEEN REALLY DRAFTY DOWN THERE. DO YOU KNOW WHAT? I'VE GOT JUST THE THING. YOU GUYS CARRY ON PLAYING YOUR DRAFT-DETECTING GAME.
Hosanna says, OKAY.
Elle turns to Harper and Halle.
Ella says, WE'RE GOING TO GO AND GET SOMETHING TO SORT IT ALL OUT. COME ON, GUYS.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
In the sunroom, Ella kneels on a rug with Harper and Halle and a pile of craft supplies, including glue, string and scrap fabric. Ella holds a pair of thick brown tights.
Ella says, SO, GIRLS, RIGHT, WE ARE GOING TO MAKE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS A BIT LIKE SOMETHING YOU SAW EARLIER.
She lays the tights on the rug. In a flashback, Tim walks Gino.
The narrator says, JUST WHAT THEY WANT, A DOG OF THEIR OWN!
Ella says, I HAVE GOT THESE TIGHTS FROM UPSTAIRS AND MUMMY'S GOING TO CUT THIS HERE. BECAUSE THE SCISSORS ARE SHARP, YOU MUSTN'T DO THIS WITHOUT AN ADULT.
Ella cuts off a leg of the tights with a pair of scissors. Harper pulls stuffing out of a decorative pillow.
The narrator says, HARPER AND HALLE ARE GOING GREEN BY REUSING THE FILLING FROM AN OLD CUSHION.
Harper and Halle stuff the leg of the tights with the pillow stuffing and make the dog's body.
Harper cheers, YAY!
Ella ties off a ball of stuffing in the toes of the tights and makes a nose with the string.
She says, I'M GOING TO TIE THIS STRING AROUND THE END OF THE TIGHTS.
Ella cuts off excess string.
The narrator says, TWO EAR SHAPES FROM SPARE FABRIC.
Ella says, I PROBABLY SHOULD’VE FOLDED IT IN HALF, SHOULDN’T I?
She cuts a second ear shape out of a brown scrap fabric. Harper and Halle old the ears on the body of the dog.
Ella says, LIKE THAT.
The narrator says, THEN MUMMY CUTS OUT TWO LARGE CIRCLES AND TWO SMALLER CIRCLES TO MAKE THE EYES.
Ella cuts two large circles out of pink scrap fabric. Harper glues a small black circle onto the pink circle, which is then glued to the dog's head. Ella then cuts a strip of blue fabric.
The narrator says, WHAT'S NEXT? A COLOURFUL COLLAR.
Harper wraps the blue fabric around the dog's body, behind its head.
Ella says, THERE YOU GO.
The narrator says, AND FINALLY, GIVE YOUR DOG A WAGGY TAIL.
Ella ties off the tights. She leaves extra fabric and makes a tail.
Ella asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD AME HIM?
Harper says, UH…
Harper and Halle say, GINO!
Ella says, GINO! YEAH, THAT'S A FANTASTIC IDEA!
Harper says, YEAH!
Ella says, AND LOOK, HE LOVES IT!
She wiggles the dog draft stopper so the tail wags.
Ella says, YAY!
[Ella laughing]
The narrator says, WOOF, WOOF!
[Narrator chuckling]
Harper picks up the dog.
The narrator says, OUTSIDE, THERE'S ANOTHER PROBLEM.
Outside with Hosanna and Tim, Heze scans windows on the house with the thermal camera.
Hosanna says, OH, LOOK, THAT'S A LOT OF HEAT ESCAPING FROM AROUND THE WINDOW.
Heze says, YEAH, ESPECIALLY THE WINDOW FRAME.
On the thermal camera, the windows are red and orange.
Tim says, I WONDER WHAT WE COULD DO TO MAYBE HELP INSULATE THOSE WINDOWS.
The narrator says, HOSANNA'S GOT AN IDEA.
Inside, Hosanna closes the curtains in the living room.
The narrator says, CLOSE YOUR CURTAINS AND THE COLOUR CHANGES FROM RED TO BLUE.
On the thermal camera, the window colour changes to blue.
Heze says, THAT'S WHAT WE NEEDED. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED.
Tim says, THERE WE GO. A LOT LESS HEAT IS ESCAPING OW, SO THAT IS THUMBS-UP FROM US.
Heze nods and says, YEP, I AGREE.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Halle reads the cardboard circle with an arrow pointing down.
Halle says, REDUCE!
Inside, Tim and Heze meet Halle and Reu in the family room.
Halle says, HEY, GUYS, DID IT WORK?
Tim says, HEY, YES, IT DID. IT TOTALLY WORKED.
He closes the door between the room and the entryway.
Halle cheers, YES!
Tim says, WELL DONE.
Halle says, THANKS!
She high-fives Tim and Heze. Ella walks in with the dog draft stopper and Houston in her arms. Harper and Hosanna follow.
Tim says, OH!
Ella says, LOOK WHAT WE'VE GOT! IT'S A DRAFT EXCLUDER, ISN'T IT, HOUSTON?
Houston grips the draft stopper.
[Heze laughing]
Harper says, WOW!
Ella says, YEAH, LET'S PUT IT DOWN HERE.
Tim says, WOW, LOOK AT THAT!
Ella puts the draft stopper against the closed door.
Tim says, SITS TO ATTENTION AND KEEPS THE COLD OUT.
Ella says, THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE IT.
Tim says, LIKE IT? I LOVE IT, AND NOW THE BOILER WON'T HAVE TO WORK AS HARD AND USE AS MUCH FUEL TO HEAT THE HOUSE. WE'VE REDUCED!
[Upbeat music plays]
The narrator HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY?
In a flashback, the smart meter reads, “Total today: 3 pounds.”
The narrator says, THEY REDUCED THEIR HEATING.
In a flashback, Tim closes the side door.
The narrator says, TO KEEP THE WARM AIR INSIDE, THEY SHUT THE DOOR, CLOSED THE CURTAINS AND BLOCKED THE DRAFT WITH GINO THE DOG.
In a flashback, Hosanna closes the curtains in the living room. Gino, the draft stopper, lies against the door.
Ella says, WELL DONE, EVERYONE. I'M SO PROUD OF YOU ALL.
Tim says, AND GINO IS A GREAT ADDITION TO THE FAMILY. GRIMWADE GANG...
The Grimwades all say, …WE'VE GONE GREEN!
Tim cheers, YAY!
[Cheering]
[Dinging]

[Cheering]
[Dinging]
