A narrator says, THIS IS WHERE THE GRIMWADE FAMILY LIVE, AND THEY'VE SAID WE CAN VISIT. LET'S GO AND SAY HELLO.
The red door on the house opens and Mrs. Grimwade steps out holding a baby with curly brown hair. Mrs. Grimwade has short, platinum-blond hair and wears a white, short-sleeved blouse, a bracelet and hoop earrings.
Mrs. Grimwade says, HELLO. WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE.
She smiles and waves.
The narrator says, THERE'S MUMMY, ELLA. BABY HOUSTON.
[Baby Houston cooing]
The narrator says, AWW, ISN'T SHE CUTE?
A toddler with curly brown hair wearing a white T-shirt runs through Ella’s legs.
The narrator says, THIS IS REU.
Reu waves.
The narrator says, HELLO, REU!
Reu says, HELLO.
Three girls wearing matching long-sleeved pink and grey striped shirts stand in the front yard.
The narrator says, THAT'S HARPER.
Harper, the shortest, wears her long, curly brown hair in a high, side ponytail.
Harper says, HELLO.
The narrator says, NEXT, IT'S HALLE.
Halle wears her long, curly brown hair in buns.
Halle says, HELLO.
The narrator says, BIG SISTER, HOSANNA.
Hosanna, the tallest, wears her long, curly brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Hosanna says, HEY.
The narrator says, AND THE OLDEST OF ALL, HEZE, WHO LOVES FOOTBALL.
Heze has long, curly dark hair and wears a white T-shirt. He kicks a ball against the blue garage door.
[Whistle blowing]
The narrator says, AND FINALLY DADDY, TIM.
At the end of the driveway, Tim waves. He has short brown hair and a neatly trimmed beard and wears a white T-shirt. The rest of the family gathers in the middle of the driveway.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tim sings, THIS IS WHERE THE GRIMWADES LIVE.
The Grimwades all sing, MUM, DAD, SISTERS AND BROTHERS. LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER, YES, WE'RE LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER.
Tim joins his family and puts his arm around Ella. In a cardboard park, Tim walks down a path with Houston and Reu. Heze, Harper and Halle pick up trash on the grass.
Tim sings, IN THE PARK, THERE ARE BUTTERFLIES, TREES, BIRDS AND BLUE SKIES. TO KEEP THE PLACES WE LOVE CLEAN…
Heze picks up a paper take-out box with a grabber and drops it in a recycling bin.
He sings, THE GRIMWADES ARE GOING GREEN.
In a cardboard grocery store, Ella and Hosanna shop in the produce section.
Ella sings, DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU SHOP WHAT YOU BUY CAN HELP A LOT? IT REALLY IS FANTASTIC…
Hosanna takes a plastic water bottle off a cashier’s conveyor belt.
She sings, WHEN YOU SAY NO TO PLASTIC.
[Gentle music plays]
At the Grimwade house, the Grimwades are in the family room. Tim sits at the table with a pair of shoes. Ella holds a wedding dress and a pair of heels. Halle holds Houston.
The narrator says, THIS IS THE GRIMWADE FAMILY.
Harper and Halle practice tying shoelaces.
The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING GREEN BY USING THE FIVE RS.
Five cardboard circles read, “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle.” The “Refuse” circle has an X. The “Reduce” circle has an arrow pointing down. The “Reuse” circle has a bag. The “Repair” circle has a wrench. The “Recycle” circle has the recycling symbol.
The narrator says, FIND OUT WHICH R THEY CHOOSE TODAY WHEN THEY DISCOVER A PROBLEM WITH THEIR SHOES.
Tim holds up the bottom of his shoes.
He says, THE SOLES ARE ALL TEARING.
The Grimwades all say, LET'S GO GREEN!
[Cheerful music plays]
The cardboard circles float around the cardboard park.
The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.
Harper shouts, REFUSE!
The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.
Halle shouts, REDUCE!
The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.
Heze shouts, REUSE!

[Gentle music plays]
In the living room, on the couch, Reu opens a photo album. Text reads, “Covid-19 guidelines were adhered to during the time of filming.”
The narrator says, TODAY, REU IS LOOKING AT SOMETHING HE'S NEVER SEEN BEFORE: THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF MUMMY AND DADDY'S WEDDING DAY.
On the first page of the album, a picture shows Tim and Ella gazing lovingly at each other. Text reads, “Timothy and Ella-Louise Grimwade, 7th March, 2009.” Ella then flips to pictures of Tim in a white suit with a purple tie.
Ella asks, REU, WHO'S THIS?
Reu says, DADDY...
He points to one of Tim's pictures.
Reu says, WHEN HE WAS SMALL LIKE ME.
Ella asks, WHEN DADDY WAS SMALL LIKE YOU?
Reu says, YEAH.
Ella says, WELL, DADDY WAS A LOT YOUNGER THEN. LET'S TURN THE PAGE.
Reu turns the page to pictures of a wedding dress and shoes.
Ella says, LOOK! THIS IS MUMMY'S WEDDING DRESS.
Reu says, YEAH.
Ella says, AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT? I REMEMBER THE DAY SO WELL, AND I'VE STILL GOT THE OUTFIT. I'M GOING TO GO AND GET IT.
The narrator says, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!
Ella leaves the couch. Elsewhere in the house, Hosanna pulls on a torn-up shoelace tangled in a running shoe.
The narrator says, OH, DEAR. WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THOSE LACES?
Ella walks into the family room, where Hosanna sits by the stairs with the shoe. Heze rests his arms on a baby gate and unties the shoelace on the other shoe.
Ella says, OH, HEY, HOSANNA, WHAT YOU UP TO?
She crouches beside Hosana.
Hosanna says, I'M JUST UNTYING MY SHOELACES. DAD SAYS THEY'RE BROKEN SO I CAN'T USE THEM ANYMORE.
She shows Ella the torn shoelace
Ella says, DO YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M ABOUT TO GO AND GET MY WEDDING DRESS OUT. I'LL BE BACK IN A SEC.
Hosanna says, OKAY!
Ella runs up the stairs. At the table, Halle and Harper practice tying shoelaces with flat cardboard shoe cut-outs and strips of ribbon.
Halle says, SO, YOU TIE...
Tim says, THAT'S IT…
Halle and Harper tie a knot with the lace.
Tim says, EVERYBODY NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO TIE THEIR SHOELACES. ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE A BIT OF A FIDDLY JOB, EVERYBODY GETS THERE IN THE END.
He sits by a box of ribbons. Halle and Harper tie bows with their ribbons.
Halle says, AND THERE YOU ARE.
Tim says, BRILLIANT. HEY, REU, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO THIS ONE DAY AS WELL.
Reu stands beside Tim. Houston stands at the bottom of the stairs.
Reu says, YEAH.
Tim says, YEAH? I'M SURE THAT WILL BE PRETTY SOON.
Ella walks down the stairs with her wedding dress and heels.
She says, HERE WE GO.
Tim says, OH, WOW!
Ella says, LOOK, GUYS!
[Children talking over each other]
Ella says, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL, ISN'T IT?
Tim says, YES! WOW.
Ella says, WHAT DO YOU THINK, HUH? DO YOU KNOW WHAT? SOMETIMES, PEOPLE REUSE WEDDING DRESSES, AND WHO KNOWS? MAYBE ONE OF YOU GIRLS MIGHT REUSE MY WEDDING DRESS ONE DAY.
Halle picks up Houston.
Harper says, YES.
Tim says, OH, THAT WOULD BE SPECIAL.
[Ella laughing]
Ella says, BUT I DON'T THINK YOU'D WANT TO REUSE THE SHOES, THOUGH. LOOK AT THEM! THEY'RE RUINED.
One of the soles on Ella’s shoes is peeled up, and part of the heel is separated.
Ella says, I REALLY DID ENJOY THE DANCING THAT NIGHT.
Tim says, I'VE ACTUALLY GOT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THESE SHOES.
He holds up a pair of shoes.
Tim says, AND THEY'VE GOT THE SOLES ARE ALL TEARING, AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO THROW THEM AWAY. YOU KNOW WHAT? GRIMWADE GANG...
The Grimwades all cheer, LET'S GO GREEN!
In the cardboard park, the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” circles appear.
The narrator says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, TOO. WHICH OF THE FIVE RS SHOULD WE USE TO GO GREEN TODAY? SHOULD WE REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, REPAIR, OR RECYCLE?
Halle, Ella and Tim’s damaged shoes are shown.
The narrator says, ONE, TWO, THREE BROKEN PAIRS OF SHOES. DO THE GRIMWADES HAVE TO THROW THEM AWAY? WHAT ELSE COULD THEY DO? DO YOU KNOW?
The Grimwades all say, LET'S REPAIR!
Tim says, LET'S DO THIS. I THINK THERE ARE STILL PLACES THAT FIX SHOES. THEY'RE ACTUALLY CALLED COBBLERS. YOU THREE, ARE YOU GOING TO COME WITH ME?
He looks toward Heze, Halle and Harper.
Halle and Harper say, YEAH!
Tim says, ALRIGHT. CAN I POP THESE IN THE BAG?
Heze pulls a large reusable bag out from under the table.
He says, YEAH.
Tim says, THANK YOU.
Heze holds open the bag and Tim drops his shoes in.
Ella says, AND THAT WOULD BE AMAZING IF I COULD GET MY SHOES REPAIRED, TOO.
She puts her shoes in the bag on top of Tim’s.
[Light, cheerful music plays]

Tim says, HERE WE ARE, GUYS.
Heze says, YEAH.
Tim says, IT'S CALLED A COBBLER'S.
Heze and Harper say, YEAH.
Tim says, THERE YOU GO. IN WE GO?
Heze says, YEAH.
Tim opens the door.
[Door creaking]
[Bell ringing]
Inside, different types of shoe polish hang in a bag on a wall among other shoe-care supplies.
The narrator says, POLISH, LACES. COBBLERS SELL EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO REPAIR YOUR SHOES.
Heze lifts the bag of damaged shows onto a counter.
He says, EXCUSE ME. WE'VE GOT SOME SHOES HERE THAT MIGHT NEED A BIT OF REPAIRING, AND I THINK YOU GUYS COULD HELP?
A woman with long, curly brown hair stands behind the counter. She wears a black polo shirt that reads, “Original Cobbler.” The blond-haired woman looks in the bag.
The blond-haired woman says, OKAY, LET'S TAKE A LOOK.
She takes Tim’s shoes out of the bag.
The blond-haired woman says, YEP, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THEM.
She pulls Ella’s heels out of the bag.
The blond-haired woman says, OH, DEAR. GOT A BIT OF A WOBBLER.
She gently wiggles the loose heel.
The narrator says, OH, NO. WHAT IF THEY CAN'T FIX THEM?
The blond-haired woman asks, SO, DO YOU WANT TO SEE HOW WE DO IT?
Heze says, YEAH, THAT WOULD BE QUITE COOL.
The blond-haired woman says, YEAH? COME THROUGH, GUYS.
She leads Tim, Heze, Halle and Harper to the back of the shop.
The narrator says, THE GRIMWADES ARE BEING ALLOWED TO WATCH THE COBBLERS AT WORK.
Tim and Heze watch a cobbler with short black hair and glasses slice the sole of one of Tim’s shoes.
The narrator says, FIRST, JAMES MAKES A START ON DADDY'S SHOES. THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOE IS CALLED THE SOLE.
James, the black-haired cobbler, peels back the sole.
The narrator says, BECAUSE DADDY'S IS OLD AND WORN, JAMES TAKES IT OFF.
James removes the sole.
He says, YEAH, SO, NOW WE'VE GOT THAT OFF, WE'VE GOT TO GET THE OLD STITCHES OUT.
Heze says, YEAH.
Tim says, OKAY.
James adds, AND THE OLD CORK.
He cuts stitches around the shoe.
James says, OKAY, THERE YOU GO. THEY'RE READY FOR MARTIN NOW.
He gives the shoe to Heze.
Heze says, THANK YOU. HERE YOU GO, MARTIN.
He gives the shoe to Martin, a bald man wearing a watch.
Martin says, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
The narrator says, ONE QUICK CLEAN TO REMOVE ANY MESS, AND NOW, MARTIN APPLIES SOME SPECIAL SHOE GLUE.
Martin lightly sands the bottom of the shoe on a machine and then spreads shoe glue across it with a brush.
The narrator says, LOOKS LIKE HEZE IS LENDING A HAND, TOO.
Heze spreads shoe glue across a large, flat, shoe-shaped material. Heze and Tim watch Martin work.
Heze asks, SO, CAN YOU KEEP REPAIRING SHOES?
Martin says, IF THE UPPERS ARE GOOD AND THEY'RE COMFORTABLE, WHY NOT?
He puts the shoe sole side up under a red light.
Martin says, WE JUST LET THAT DRY A LITTLE BIT, AND WHEN IT'S READY, WE STICK THEM TOGETHER. READY FOR STITCHING.
He turns a crank on a machine and presses the new sole onto the shoe.
The narrator says, NOW THE GLUE IS NICE AND STICKY, THE NEW SOLE IS SQUEEZED TIGHTLY TO THE SHOE, TRIMMED TO SIZE, AND STITCHED ON.
Martin cuts the excess sole material off the shoe. He rotates the shoe under a sewing machine and stitches the material to the shoe.
[Sewing machine whirring]
The narrator says, GLUING, HEATING, STICKING, SQUEEZING, AND TRIMMING.
James repairs the other shoe. He smooths the edges on the sanding machine.
[Sander whirring]
[Gentle music plays]
James says, THERE YOU GO.
He gives the shoe to Heze.
Heze says, OH, THANKS.
James says, THE LAST ONE FOR YOU.
Heze says, THAT'S AMAZING. WE'VE REPAIRED.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
The Repair circle is shown.
Hosanna says, REPAIR!
The narrator says, BACK AT HOME, REU ISN'T WEARING ANY SHOES...
Outside on a mat, Reu pulls off his socks.
The narrator says, …OR SOCKS. WHAT'S HE DOING?
Hosanna says, REU, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A COPY OF YOUR FEET!
She puts a piece of cardboard covered in blue paint on the mat.
Hosanna says, CAN YOU PUT YOUR FEET IN HERE, PLEASE?
She holds the cardboard in place. Ella holds Reu’s ankle and guides him toward the paint.
Ella says, PUSH YOUR FOOT DOWN IN THE PAINT.
Reu steps onto the paint.
[Squishing]
Ella says, OH, HOW DOES IT FEEL?
Reu says, IT'S SO SQUIDGY!
Ella says, IT'S SO SQUIDGY, ISN'T IT?
Blue paint covers Reu’s foot.
Ella says, THREE, TWO, ONE.
Hosanna says, GO!
Ella presses Reu’s foot onto a white poster board.
The narrator says, REU'S MADE A PRINT OF HIS FOOT.
Ella says, YAY! LOOK AT THAT!
Reu presses his foot onto the paper.
Ella says, AND UP AGAIN.
She lifts Reu’s foot off the paper.
Ella says, IF YOU CAN PUT SOME PAINT ON THIS FOOT...
She holds up Reu’s clean foot.
[Ella laughing]
Hosanna moves the piece of cardboard with blue paint around Reu’s foot. She covers Reu’s foot with paint.
The narrator says, WHY STOP AT ONE FOOT?
[Narrator chuckling]
The narrator says, REU'S GOING TO PAINT WITH BOTH HIS FEET.
Ella holds Reu.
She says, STAY NICE AND STILL!
Reu stands on the poster board with both feet.
[Ella laughing[
Reu says, I DID IT!
Ella says, YOU DID IT! GOOD BOY!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
The narrator says, BACK AT THE COBBLER'S, MUMMY'S WEDDING SHOES STILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED.
The blond-haired woman shows Martin Ella’s wedding shoes.
The blond-haired woman says, A BIT OF A DANCING ACCIDENT.
Martin says, I CAN SEE. RIGHT, SO, WHO'S GOING TO BE HELPING ME, THEN?
Halle and Harper both say, ME!
Martin says, FANTASTIC.
He presses a button on a machine.
The narrator says, THIS MACHINE HEATS THE HEEL AND MAKES THE GLUE ALL STICKY AGAIN.
[Machine whirring]
Martin slides the heel of one of the wedding shoes into the machine.
The narrator says, AND WITH A FIRM PUSH, THE HEEL IS STUCK BACK INTO POSITION.
Martin presses the shoe onto a shoe anvil.
He says, JUST LET IT SET FOR A LITTLE BIT WHILE IT COOLS DOWN.
Martin examines the other shoe.
He says, THIS IS ALL NICE AND TIGHT. THIS IS THE HEEL TIP.
Martin points to the pointed tip on the heel.
He says, AND IT'S GONE A BIT HARD, WHICH WILL BE VERY SLIPPERY. SO IF WE CHANGE THAT FOR MUM, SHE CAN WEAR THEM AGAIN WITHOUT SLIPPING OVER.
The narrator says, HARPER AND HALLE ARE GOING GREEN AND REPAIRING THE SHOES.
Harper looks through a container drawer of heel tips. Halle pulls on the wedding heel tip.
Martin says, SO, IF WE GET THAT ONE OUT, WE'RE GOING TO PUSH THAT IN.
He pulls the damaged heel tip out with pliers and pushes a new one in. Martin holds the heel over a shoe anvil. Halle holds a hammer. Harper holds the other heel.
Martin asks, CAN YOU GIVE THAT A LITTLE TAP?
Halle gently hammers the new heel tip into place.
[Light banging]
Martin says, LOOK AT THAT. YOU'VE DONE THIS BEFORE.
Harper hammers the heel tip.
Martin says, PERFECT. LOOK AT THAT. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE?
Harper guesses, REPAIRED?
Martin says, YOU HAVE. YOU'VE REPAIRED YOUR VERY FIRST PAIR OF SHOES.
Halle and Harper smile.
The narrator says, READY TO TAKE HOME AND SHOW MUMMY, BUT WILL SHE LIKE THEM?
[Light, cheerful music plays]
At home, Ella stands at the table with Houston and Reu.
She starts to say, THIS –
Heze walks in with Harper, Halle and Tim and the bag of shoes.
Ella says, OH, YOU'RE BACK!
Halle frantically says, CLOSE YOUR EYES! CLOSE YOUR EYES!
Harper says, CLOSE YOUR EYES!
Ella says, OKAY, OKAY! MY EYES ARE CLOSED!
She covers her eyes with her hands.
Heze says, PUT YOUR HANDS OUT, MUM.
Ella says, OOH, HANDS OUT.
Her eyes are still closed, and she holds out her hands. Tim puts his hand under hers.
Tim says, THERE YOU GO.
Halle puts the repaired wedding heels in Ella’s hands.
Heze says, MUM, OPEN YOUR EYES.
Ella opens her eyes and looks at the heels.
She says, OH, NO, YOU DIDN'T! YOU REPAIRED THEM!
Tim says, YEAH.
[Houston babbling]
Ella says, OH, THAT IS AMAZING! LOOK, HOUSTON!
She shows Houston the heels.
Ella says, WOW!
[Ella laughing]
Ella says, OH, THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS. I'VE GOT SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES IN THESE SHOES. THAT'S AMAZING, AND TALKING ABOUT MEMORIES, LOOK WHAT WE'VE DONE.
She picks up a cut-out piece of poster board with Reu’s footprints.
Tim says, OH, WHAT'S THAT?
Ella says, REU, SHOW DADDY!
Tim says, REU, ARE THESE YOUR FEET?
Ella says, YEAH, THEY ARE!
Tim says, AH, I THOUGHT THEY WERE!
Hosanna walks in with a picture frame.
She says, AND LOOK AT THIS! I REPAIRED THIS OLD FRAME TO PUT THEM IN.
Tim says, LOVELY.
Ella says, AH, THAT'S LOVELY, AND NOW, WE'VE GOT A MEMORY TO REMEMBER REU'S FEET WHEN HE WAS THREE YEARS OLD.
Heze says, YEAH.
Tim says, AH, THAT'S SO NICE.
Ella says, THAT'S AWESOME. SO, MY SHOES ARE REPAIRED.
Tim says, AND MY SHOES ARE REPAIRED.
Hosanna says, BUT…BUT WHAT ABOUT MINE?
Heze says, LOOK, WE CAN REPAIR YOUR SHOES BY USING THESE RIBBONS AS LACES.
He grabs ribbons from the box on the table.
Heze asks, DOES THAT SOUND GOOD?
Hosanna says, THAT SOUNDS AMAZING.
Heze says, COOL. WHAT COLOUR RIBBONS DO YOU WANT?
Hosanna says, PINK AND PURPLE, PLEASE.
Heze says, PINK AND PURPLE COMING UP.
He untangles pink and purple ribbons.
Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT, GUYS? WE'VE REPAIRED.
Heze says, YEAH!
The narrator says, HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY?
In a flashback, Halle hammers the new heel tip onto one of Ella’s heels.
The narrator says, THEY REPAIRED.
In a flashback, Heze spreads shoe glue across the sole replacement material.
The narrator says, THEY DIDN'T THROW AWAY THEIR SHOES. THEY FOUND A WAY TO REPAIR THEM, AND REU MADE A FOOTPRINT.
In a flashback, Reu presses his foot into the blue paint.
[Squishing]
At the table, Heze says, HERE'S YOUR SHOES, HOSANNA.
He gives Hosanna her shoes with pink and purple ribbon laces.
Tim says, WELL, THAT'S YOUR SHOES DONE, MY SHOES DONE, AND NOW, YOUR SHOES DONE. SO I GUESS THAT'S EVERYTHING TIED UP.
[Ella laughing]
Tim says, GRIMWADE GANG...
The Grimwades all say, WE'VE GONE GREEN!
[Dinging]

Outside the cardboard house, Tim sings, THE ANSWER'S OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR USING LESS AND RECYCLING MORE.

The red door on the house opens and Mrs. Grimwade steps out holding a baby with curly brown hair. Mrs. Grimwade has short, platinum-blond hair and wears a white, short-sleeved blouse, a bracelet and hoop earrings.
Mrs. Grimwade says, HELLO. WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE.
She smiles and waves.
The narrator says, THERE'S MUMMY, ELLA. BABY HOUSTON.
[Baby Houston cooing]

Heze picks up a paper take-out box with a grabber and drops it in a recycling bin.

Hosanna takes a plastic water bottle off a cashier’s conveyor belt.

At the Grimwade house, the Grimwades are in the family room. Tim sits at the table with a pair of shoes. Ella holds a wedding dress and a pair of heels. Halle holds Houston.
The narrator says, THIS IS THE GRIMWADE FAMILY.
Harper and Halle practice tying shoelaces.
The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING GREEN BY USING THE FIVE RS.

In the living room, on the couch, Reu opens a photo album. Text reads, “Covid-19 guidelines were adhered to during the time of filming.”
The narrator says, TODAY, REU IS LOOKING AT SOMETHING HE'S NEVER SEEN BEFORE: THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF MUMMY AND DADDY'S WEDDING DAY.
On the first page of the album, a picture shows Tim and Ella gazing lovingly at each other. Text reads, “Timothy and Ella-Louise Grimwade, 7th March, 2009.” Ella then flips to pictures of Tim in a white suit with a purple tie.
Ella asks, REU, WHO'S THIS?
Reu says, DADDY...
He points to one of Tim's pictures.
Reu says, WHEN HE WAS SMALL LIKE ME.
Ella asks, WHEN DADDY WAS SMALL LIKE YOU?
Reu says, YEAH.
Ella says, WELL, DADDY WAS A LOT YOUNGER THEN. LET'S TURN THE PAGE.
Reu turns the page to pictures of a wedding dress and shoes.
Ella says, LOOK! THIS IS MUMMY'S WEDDING DRESS.
Reu says, YEAH.
Ella says, AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT? I REMEMBER THE DAY SO WELL, AND I'VE STILL GOT THE OUTFIT. I'M GOING TO GO AND GET IT.
The narrator says, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!
Ella leaves the couch. Elsewhere in the house, Hosanna pulls on a torn-up shoelace tangled in a running shoe.
The narrator says, OH, DEAR. WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THOSE LACES?
Ella walks into the family room, where Hosanna sits by the stairs with the shoe. Heze rests his arms on a baby gate and unties the shoelace on the other shoe.
Ella says, OH, HEY, HOSANNA, WHAT YOU UP TO?
She crouches beside Hosana.
Hosanna says, I'M JUST UNTYING MY SHOELACES. DAD SAYS THEY'RE BROKEN SO I CAN'T USE THEM ANYMORE.
She shows Ella the torn shoelace
Ella says, DO YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M ABOUT TO GO AND GET MY WEDDING DRESS OUT. I'LL BE BACK IN A SEC.
Hosanna says, OKAY!
Ella runs up the stairs. At the table, Halle and Harper practice tying shoelaces with flat cardboard shoe cut-outs and strips of ribbon.
Halle says, SO, YOU TIE...
Tim says, THAT'S IT…
Halle and Harper tie a knot with the lace.
Tim says, EVERYBODY NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO TIE THEIR SHOELACES. ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE A BIT OF A FIDDLY JOB, EVERYBODY GETS THERE IN THE END.
He sits by a box of ribbons. Halle and Harper tie bows with their ribbons.
Halle says, AND THERE YOU ARE.
Tim says, BRILLIANT. HEY, REU, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO THIS ONE DAY AS WELL.
Reu stands beside Tim. Houston stands at the bottom of the stairs.
Reu says, YEAH.
Tim says, YEAH? I'M SURE THAT WILL BE PRETTY SOON.
Ella walks down the stairs with her wedding dress and heels.
She says, HERE WE GO.
Tim says, OH, WOW!
Ella says, LOOK, GUYS!
[Children talking over each other]
Ella says, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL, ISN'T IT?
Tim says, YES! WOW.
Ella says, WHAT DO YOU THINK, HUH? DO YOU KNOW WHAT? SOMETIMES, PEOPLE REUSE WEDDING DRESSES, AND WHO KNOWS? MAYBE ONE OF YOU GIRLS MIGHT REUSE MY WEDDING DRESS ONE DAY.
Halle picks up Houston.
Harper says, YES.
Tim says, OH, THAT WOULD BE SPECIAL.
[Ella laughing]
Ella says, BUT I DON'T THINK YOU'D WANT TO REUSE THE SHOES, THOUGH. LOOK AT THEM! THEY'RE RUINED.
One of the soles on Ella’s shoes is peeled up, and part of the heel is separated.
Ella says, I REALLY DID ENJOY THE DANCING THAT NIGHT.
Tim says, I'VE ACTUALLY GOT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THESE SHOES.
He holds up a pair of shoes.
Tim says, AND THEY'VE GOT THE SOLES ARE ALL TEARING, AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO THROW THEM AWAY. YOU KNOW WHAT? GRIMWADE GANG...

The Grimwades all say, LET'S REPAIR!
Tim says, LET'S DO THIS. I THINK THERE ARE STILL PLACES THAT FIX SHOES. THEY'RE ACTUALLY CALLED COBBLERS. YOU THREE, ARE YOU GOING TO COME WITH ME?
He looks toward Heze, Halle and Harper.
Halle and Harper say, YEAH!
Tim says, ALRIGHT. CAN I POP THESE IN THE BAG?
Heze pulls a large reusable bag out from under the table.
He says, YEAH.
Tim says, THANK YOU.
Heze holds open the bag and Tim drops his shoes in.
Ella says, AND THAT WOULD BE AMAZING IF I COULD GET MY SHOES REPAIRED, TOO.
She puts her shoes in the bag on top of Tim’s.
[Light, cheerful music plays]

[Bell ringing]
Inside, different types of shoe polish hang in a bag on a wall among other shoe-care supplies.
The narrator says, POLISH, LACES. COBBLERS SELL EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO REPAIR YOUR SHOES.
Heze lifts the bag of damaged shows onto a counter.
He says, EXCUSE ME. WE'VE GOT SOME SHOES HERE THAT MIGHT NEED A BIT OF REPAIRING, AND I THINK YOU GUYS COULD HELP?
A woman with long, curly brown hair stands behind the counter. She wears a black polo shirt that reads, “Original Cobbler.” The blond-haired woman looks in the bag.
The blond-haired woman says, OKAY, LET'S TAKE A LOOK.
She takes Tim’s shoes out of the bag.
The blond-haired woman says, YEP, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THEM.
She pulls Ella’s heels out of the bag.
The blond-haired woman says, OH, DEAR. GOT A BIT OF A WOBBLER.
She gently wiggles the loose heel.
The narrator says, OH, NO. WHAT IF THEY CAN'T FIX THEM?
The blond-haired woman asks, SO, DO YOU WANT TO SEE HOW WE DO IT?
Heze says, YEAH, THAT WOULD BE QUITE COOL.
The blond-haired woman says, YEAH? COME THROUGH, GUYS.
She leads Tim, Heze, Halle and Harper to the back of the shop.
The narrator says, THE GRIMWADES ARE BEING ALLOWED TO WATCH THE COBBLERS AT WORK.
Tim and Heze watch a cobbler with short black hair and glasses slice the sole of one of Tim’s shoes.
The narrator says, FIRST, JAMES MAKES A START ON DADDY'S SHOES. THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOE IS CALLED THE SOLE.
James, the black-haired cobbler, peels back the sole.
The narrator says, BECAUSE DADDY'S IS OLD AND WORN, JAMES TAKES IT OFF.
James removes the sole.
He says, YEAH, SO, NOW WE'VE GOT THAT OFF, WE'VE GOT TO GET THE OLD STITCHES OUT.
Heze says, YEAH.
Tim says, OKAY.
James adds, AND THE OLD CORK.
He cuts stitches around the shoe.
James says, OKAY, THERE YOU GO. THEY'RE READY FOR MARTIN NOW.
He gives the shoe to Heze.
Heze says, THANK YOU. HERE YOU GO, MARTIN.
He gives the shoe to Martin, a bald man wearing a watch.
Martin says, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
The narrator says, ONE QUICK CLEAN TO REMOVE ANY MESS, AND NOW, MARTIN APPLIES SOME SPECIAL SHOE GLUE.
Martin lightly sands the bottom of the shoe on a machine and then spreads shoe glue across it with a brush.
The narrator says, LOOKS LIKE HEZE IS LENDING A HAND, TOO.
Heze spreads shoe glue across a large, flat, shoe-shaped material. Heze and Tim watch Martin work.
Heze asks, SO, CAN YOU KEEP REPAIRING SHOES?
Martin says, IF THE UPPERS ARE GOOD AND THEY'RE COMFORTABLE, WHY NOT?
He puts the shoe sole side up under a red light.
Martin says, WE JUST LET THAT DRY A LITTLE BIT, AND WHEN IT'S READY, WE STICK THEM TOGETHER. READY FOR STITCHING.
He turns a crank on a machine and presses the new sole onto the shoe.
The narrator says, NOW THE GLUE IS NICE AND STICKY, THE NEW SOLE IS SQUEEZED TIGHTLY TO THE SHOE, TRIMMED TO SIZE, AND STITCHED ON.
Martin cuts the excess sole material off the shoe. He rotates the shoe under a sewing machine and stitches the material to the shoe.
[Sewing machine whirring]
The narrator says, GLUING, HEATING, STICKING, SQUEEZING, AND TRIMMING.
James repairs the other shoe. He smooths the edges on the sanding machine.
[Sander whirring]
[Gentle music plays]
James says, THERE YOU GO.
He gives the shoe to Heze.
Heze says, OH, THANKS.
James says, THE LAST ONE FOR YOU.
Heze says, THAT'S AMAZING. WE'VE REPAIRED.
[Light, cheerful music plays]
The Repair circle is shown.
Hosanna says, REPAIR!
The narrator says, BACK AT HOME, REU ISN'T WEARING ANY SHOES...
Outside on a mat, Reu pulls off his socks.
The narrator says, …OR SOCKS. WHAT'S HE DOING?
Hosanna says, REU, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A COPY OF YOUR FEET!
She puts a piece of cardboard covered in blue paint on the mat.
Hosanna says, CAN YOU PUT YOUR FEET IN HERE, PLEASE?
She holds the cardboard in place. Ella holds Reu’s ankle and guides him toward the paint.
Ella says, PUSH YOUR FOOT DOWN IN THE PAINT.
Reu steps onto the paint.
[Squishing]
Ella says, OH, HOW DOES IT FEEL?
Reu says, IT'S SO SQUIDGY!
Ella says, IT'S SO SQUIDGY, ISN'T IT?
Blue paint covers Reu’s foot.
Ella says, THREE, TWO, ONE.
Hosanna says, GO!
Ella presses Reu’s foot onto a white poster board.
The narrator says, REU'S MADE A PRINT OF HIS FOOT.
Ella says, YAY! LOOK AT THAT!
Reu presses his foot onto the paper.
Ella says, AND UP AGAIN.
She lifts Reu’s foot off the paper.
Ella says, IF YOU CAN PUT SOME PAINT ON THIS FOOT...
She holds up Reu’s clean foot.
[Ella laughing]
Hosanna moves the piece of cardboard with blue paint around Reu’s foot. She covers Reu’s foot with paint.
The narrator says, WHY STOP AT ONE FOOT?
[Narrator chuckling]
The narrator says, REU'S GOING TO PAINT WITH BOTH HIS FEET.
Ella holds Reu.
She says, STAY NICE AND STILL!
Reu stands on the poster board with both feet.
[Ella laughing[
Reu says, I DID IT!
Ella says, YOU DID IT! GOOD BOY!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
The narrator says, BACK AT THE COBBLER'S, MUMMY'S WEDDING SHOES STILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED.
The blond-haired woman shows Martin Ella’s wedding shoes.
The blond-haired woman says, A BIT OF A DANCING ACCIDENT.
Martin says, I CAN SEE. RIGHT, SO, WHO'S GOING TO BE HELPING ME, THEN?
Halle and Harper both say, ME!
Martin says, FANTASTIC.
He presses a button on a machine.
The narrator says, THIS MACHINE HEATS THE HEEL AND MAKES THE GLUE ALL STICKY AGAIN.
[Machine whirring]
Martin slides the heel of one of the wedding shoes into the machine.
The narrator says, AND WITH A FIRM PUSH, THE HEEL IS STUCK BACK INTO POSITION.
Martin presses the shoe onto a shoe anvil.
He says, JUST LET IT SET FOR A LITTLE BIT WHILE IT COOLS DOWN.
Martin examines the other shoe.
He says, THIS IS ALL NICE AND TIGHT. THIS IS THE HEEL TIP.
Martin points to the pointed tip on the heel.
He says, AND IT'S GONE A BIT HARD, WHICH WILL BE VERY SLIPPERY. SO IF WE CHANGE THAT FOR MUM, SHE CAN WEAR THEM AGAIN WITHOUT SLIPPING OVER.
The narrator says, HARPER AND HALLE ARE GOING GREEN AND REPAIRING THE SHOES.
Harper looks through a container drawer of heel tips. Halle pulls on the wedding heel tip.
Martin says, SO, IF WE GET THAT ONE OUT, WE'RE GOING TO PUSH THAT IN.
He pulls the damaged heel tip out with pliers and pushes a new one in. Martin holds the heel over a shoe anvil. Halle holds a hammer. Harper holds the other heel.
Martin asks, CAN YOU GIVE THAT A LITTLE TAP?
Halle gently hammers the new heel tip into place.
[Light banging]
Martin says, LOOK AT THAT. YOU'VE DONE THIS BEFORE.
Harper hammers the heel tip.
Martin says, PERFECT. LOOK AT THAT. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE?
Harper guesses, REPAIRED?
Martin says, YOU HAVE. YOU'VE REPAIRED YOUR VERY FIRST PAIR OF SHOES.
Halle and Harper smile.
The narrator says, READY TO TAKE HOME AND SHOW MUMMY, BUT WILL SHE LIKE THEM?
[Light, cheerful music plays]
At home, Ella stands at the table with Houston and Reu.
She starts to say, THIS –
Heze walks in with Harper, Halle and Tim and the bag of shoes.
Ella says, OH, YOU'RE BACK!
Halle frantically says, CLOSE YOUR EYES! CLOSE YOUR EYES!
Harper says, CLOSE YOUR EYES!
Ella says, OKAY, OKAY! MY EYES ARE CLOSED!
She covers her eyes with her hands.
Heze says, PUT YOUR HANDS OUT, MUM.
Ella says, OOH, HANDS OUT.
Her eyes are still closed, and she holds out her hands. Tim puts his hand under hers.
Tim says, THERE YOU GO.
Halle puts the repaired wedding heels in Ella’s hands.
Heze says, MUM, OPEN YOUR EYES.
Ella opens her eyes and looks at the heels.
She says, OH, NO, YOU DIDN'T! YOU REPAIRED THEM!
Tim says, YEAH.
[Houston babbling]
Ella says, OH, THAT IS AMAZING! LOOK, HOUSTON!
She shows Houston the heels.
Ella says, WOW!
[Ella laughing]
Ella says, OH, THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS. I'VE GOT SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES IN THESE SHOES. THAT'S AMAZING, AND TALKING ABOUT MEMORIES, LOOK WHAT WE'VE DONE.
She picks up a cut-out piece of poster board with Reu’s footprints.
Tim says, OH, WHAT'S THAT?
Ella says, REU, SHOW DADDY!
Tim says, REU, ARE THESE YOUR FEET?
Ella says, YEAH, THEY ARE!
Tim says, AH, I THOUGHT THEY WERE!
Hosanna walks in with a picture frame.
She says, AND LOOK AT THIS! I REPAIRED THIS OLD FRAME TO PUT THEM IN.
Tim says, LOVELY.
Ella says, AH, THAT'S LOVELY, AND NOW, WE'VE GOT A MEMORY TO REMEMBER REU'S FEET WHEN HE WAS THREE YEARS OLD.
Heze says, YEAH.
Tim says, AH, THAT'S SO NICE.
Ella says, THAT'S AWESOME. SO, MY SHOES ARE REPAIRED.
Tim says, AND MY SHOES ARE REPAIRED.
Hosanna says, BUT…BUT WHAT ABOUT MINE?
Heze says, LOOK, WE CAN REPAIR YOUR SHOES BY USING THESE RIBBONS AS LACES.
He grabs ribbons from the box on the table.
Heze asks, DOES THAT SOUND GOOD?
Hosanna says, THAT SOUNDS AMAZING.
Heze says, COOL. WHAT COLOUR RIBBONS DO YOU WANT?
Hosanna says, PINK AND PURPLE, PLEASE.
Heze says, PINK AND PURPLE COMING UP.
He untangles pink and purple ribbons.
Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT, GUYS? WE'VE REPAIRED.
Heze says, YEAH!
The narrator says, HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY?
In a flashback, Halle hammers the new heel tip onto one of Ella’s heels.
The narrator says, THEY REPAIRED.
In a flashback, Heze spreads shoe glue across the sole replacement material.
The narrator says, THEY DIDN'T THROW AWAY THEIR SHOES. THEY FOUND A WAY TO REPAIR THEM, AND REU MADE A FOOTPRINT.
In a flashback, Reu presses his foot into the blue paint.
[Squishing]
At the table, Heze says, HERE'S YOUR SHOES, HOSANNA.
He gives Hosanna her shoes with pink and purple ribbon laces.
Tim says, WELL, THAT'S YOUR SHOES DONE, MY SHOES DONE, AND NOW, YOUR SHOES DONE. SO I GUESS THAT'S EVERYTHING TIED UP.
[Ella laughing]
Tim says, GRIMWADE GANG...
The Grimwades all say, WE'VE GONE GREEN!
[Dinging]
Title: Go Green with the Grimwades.
In the cardboard park, Tim says, WE'VE GONE GREEN.
Ella says, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN.
[Upbeat music plays]
Tim and Ella sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
The entire Grimwade family dances.
They all sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Heze sings, THE ARCTIC IS STARTING TO MELT SO THE POLAR BEARS THEY NEED YOUR HELP.
Hosanna sings, AND WHERE THEY LIVE NEEDS LOOKING AFTER, GOING GREEN IS THE ANSWER.
The Grimwade kids all sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
Heze, Hosanna, Halle, Harper and Reu march around the park holding signs with the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” text and symbols.
The kids sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Outside the cardboard house, Tim sings, THE ANSWER'S OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR USING LESS AND RECYCLING MORE.
Ella sings, ALL THE LITTLE THINGS YOU DO REALLY HELP THE PLANET TOO.
In the park, the entire family sings, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN. GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.
Ella walks through the park.
She sings IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK.
Ella waves to Heze, Hosanna, and Halle, who are picking up trash in the park.
She sings, IT'S PICKING IT UP.
Tim hangs a plastic water bottle bird feeder in a tree.
Ella sings, IT'S FEEDING THE BIRDS.
[Birds chirping]
Ella holds up a reusable cup.
She sings, AND REUSING YOUR CUP.
Outside, Hosanna packs the extra ribbon back into its box.
She says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, SO GO GREEN, TOO. IF YOU HAVE SOME SHOES THAT YOU DON'T USE BECAUSE THE SHOELACES ARE BROKEN, HERE'S A SIMPLE REPAIR. FIND SOME RIBBON AND GIVE THEM A WHOLE NEW LOOK.
Hosanna holds up her shoes with the pink and now blue ribbon.
She says, BYE!
The narrator says, LOOKING SNAZZY. THANKS, HOSANNA, AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE GRIMWADES. SEE YOU NEXT TIME.
