Red, yellow and blue pieces of cardboard form a two-story house with a garage.

A narrator says, THIS IS WHERE THE GRIMWADE FAMILY LIVE, AND THEY'VE SAID WE CAN VISIT. LET'S GO AND SAY HELLO.

The red door on the house opens and Mrs. Grimwade steps out holding a baby with curly brown hair. Mrs. Grimwade has short, platinum-blond hair and wears a white, short-sleeved blouse, a bracelet and hoop earrings.

Mrs. Grimwade says, HELLO. WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE.

She smiles and waves.

The narrator says, THERE'S MUMMY, ELLA. BABY HOUSTON.

[Baby Houston cooing]

The narrator says, AWW, ISN'T SHE CUTE?

A toddler with curly brown hair wearing a white T-shirt runs through Ella’s legs.

The narrator says, THIS IS REU.

Reu waves.

The narrator says, HELLO, REU!

Reu says, HELLO.

Three girls wearing matching long-sleeved pink and grey striped shirts stand in the front yard.

The narrator says, THAT'S HARPER.

Harper, the shortest, wears her long, curly brown hair in a high, side ponytail.

Harper says, HELLO.

The narrator says, NEXT, IT'S HALLE.

Halle wears her long, curly brown hair in buns.

Halle says, HELLO.

The narrator says, BIG SISTER, HOSANNA.

Hosanna, the tallest, wears her long, curly brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Hosanna says, HEY.

The narrator says, AND THE OLDEST OF ALL, HEZE, WHO LOVES FOOTBALL.

Heze has long, curly dark hair and wears a white T-shirt. He kicks a ball against the blue garage door.

[Whistle blowing]

The narrator says, AND FINALLY DADDY, TIM.

At the end of the driveway, Tim waves. He has short brown hair and a neatly trimmed beard and wears a white T-shirt. The rest of the family gathers in the middle of the driveway.

[Upbeat music plays]

Tim sings, THIS IS WHERE THE GRIMWADES LIVE.

The Grimwades all sing, MUM, DAD, SISTERS AND BROTHERS. LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER, YES, WE'RE LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER.

Tim joins his family and puts his arm around Ella. In a cardboard park, Tim walks down a path with Houston and Reu. Heze, Harper and Halle pick up trash on the grass.

Tim sings, IN THE PARK, THERE ARE BUTTERFLIES, TREES, BIRDS AND BLUE SKIES. TO KEEP THE PLACES WE LOVE CLEAN…

Heze picks up a paper takeout box with a grabber and drops it in a recycling bin.

He sings, THE GRIMWADES ARE GOING GREEN.

In a cardboard grocery store, Ella and Hosanna shop in the produce section.

Ella sings, DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU SHOP WHAT YOU BUY CAN HELP A LOT? IT REALLY IS FANTASTIC…

Hosanna takes a plastic water bottle off a cashier’s conveyor belt.

She sings, WHEN YOU SAY NO TO PLASTIC.

[Gentle music plays]

In the Grimwade’s backyard, Hosanna, Halle and Harper sit on the grass. Heze kicks around a soccer ball. Ella sits in a patch of sun with Reu and Houston. Tim sits on a stool and drinks a cup of coffee.

The narrator says, THIS IS THE GRIMWADE FAMILY.

Tim pushes a lawn mower out of the shed.

The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING GREEN BY USING THE FIVE RS.

Five cardboard circles read, “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle.” The “Refuse” circle has an X. The “Reduce” circle has an arrow pointing down. The “Reuse” circle has a bag. The “Repair” circle has a wrench. The “Recycle” circle has the recycling symbol.

The narrator says, FIND OUT WHICH ‘R’ THEY CHOOSE TODAY AND WHAT GROWS WHEN YOU DON'T DO ANYTHING IN THE GARDEN.

Ella, Hosanna, Heze and Harper explore a meadow with bug-catching nets. A butterfly leaps off a flower.

In the backyard, the Grimwades all say, LET'S GO GREEN!

[Cheerful music plays]

The cardboard circles float around the cardboard park.

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

Harper shouts, REFUSE!

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

Halle shouts, REDUCE!

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

Heze shouts, REUSE!

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

Hosanna shouts, REPAIR!

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

Reu shouts, RECYCLE!

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

They stand in the cardboard driveway.

The Grimwades all sing, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES.

The title appears and the Grimwades shout, GO GREEN WITH THE GRIMWADES!

[Gentle music plays]

The Grimwades relax in the backyard.

The narrator says, IT'S A LOVELY SUMMER'S DAY, AND EVERYONE IS ENJOYING BEING IN THE GARDEN.

Hosanna points toward the sky. Tim sips his coffee. Reu grabs a watering can from beside the house.

The narrator says, DAD'S HAVING A COFFEE. REU IS WATERING HIS PLANTS.

Reu waters a plant in a rainboot.

Tim says, REU, YOU'RE DOING SUCH A GOOD JOB LOOKING AFTER YOUR GARDEN.

Reu says, THANKS.

The narrator says, HEZE IS PLAYING FOOTBALL, AND LOOK WHO'S PICKING DAISIES.

Hosanna, Halle and Harper pick daisies out of the grass. Ella kneels beside them with Houston.

Ella asks, HAVE YOU EVER MADE A DAISY CHAIN BEFORE?

Hosanna, Halle and Harper say, NO.

Ella says, OH, IT'S REALLY EASY. JUST YOUR FINGERNAIL, AND YOU MAKE A LITTLE HOLE.

Harper says, YEAH.

Ella says, AND THEN YOU TAKE YOUR NEXT DAISY, AND YOU JUST SLIDE IT THROUGH.

She makes a hole in the stem of a daisy with her nail and slides the stem through a hole in another daisy. Hosanna starts a daisy chain.

Hosanna asks, LIKE THAT?

Ella says, YEAH, JUST LIKE THAT. AND THEN YOU JUST KEEP REPEATING IT.

[Houston babbling]

Harper says, OKAY.

Halle asks, LIKE THIS?

Ella says, YEAH, OVER AND OVER, JUST LIKE THAT, YEAH.

Hosanna swings her daisy chain back and forth. Tim pushes the lawn mower out of the shed.

Tim says, OH, GIRLS, I'M GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE YOU, I'M AFRAID.

Halle says, WHAT ABOUT THE DAISIES?

She walks over to Tim with Harper and Hosanna. Close by, Heze bumps his soccer ball between his knees. Ella carries Houston.

Tim says, SORRY. LOOK AT THE GRASS! LOOK AT THE STATE OF IT. I'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING WITH IT.

Weeds grow in the grass. Halle crosses her arms.

Hosanna asks, WHY?

The narrator says, DADDY HAS NEVER BEEN ASKED WHY HE MOWS THE LAWN.

Tim says, YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU'VE ACTUALLY GOT ME THERE, HOSANNA. WHY DO WE HAVE TO CUT THE GRASS? I MEAN, LOOK AT ALL THE LOVELY DAISIES.

Ella says, THERE ARE TWO WAYS OF GARDENING. SOMETIMES, WE CAN MAKE THINGS NICE BY PLANTING SOMETHING NEW, LIKE REU.

Reu waters another one of his plants and then joins the rest of the family.

[Ella laughing]

Tim says, OKAY. WELL DONE, REU.

Ella says, AND OTHER TIMES, WE CAN JUST LEAVE THINGS TO GROW AND JUST SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

Tim asks, YOU GOING TO GARDEN, TOO, HOUS?

Ella puts Houston down and she wanders away.

Ella says, GRIMWADE GANG...

The Grimwades all say, LET'S GO GREEN!

In the cardboard park, the “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle” circles appear.

The narrator says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, TOO. WHICH OF THE FIVE RS SHOULD WE USE TO GO GREEN TODAY? SHOULD WE REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, REPAIR, OR RECYCLE?

Tim rolls the lawn mower across the lawn.

The narrator says, DOES DADDY HAVE TO CUT THE GRASS? OR CAN HE LET THE WILDFLOWERS, LIKE THE DAISIES, GROW? WHAT'S A WORD THAT MEANS YOU WON'T MOW THE LAWN? DO YOU KNOW?

The Grimwades all say, LET'S REFUSE!

Tim says, OKAY, I'VE GOT IT. I'M GOING TO REFUSE TO MOW, AND WE'RE GOING TO LET THE FLOWERS GROW IN THE GRASS.

Ella asks, AND WHO WANTS TO COME WITH ME AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE LEAVE THE GRASS TO GROW FOR A LONG TIME?

Heze, Hosanna and Harper say, YES!

Tim says, AND YOU KNOW WHAT? HALLE, REU, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?

Reu says, LET'S REFUSE.

The narrator says, THAT'S RIGHT, REU. BUT WHAT WILL YOU DO INSTEAD?

[Light, cheerful music plays]

In a meadow, white, pink and brown wildflowers grow.

[Gentle music plays]

The narrator says, MUMMY'S TAKING THE OTHERS TO A WILDFLOWER MEADOW. AND THEY'RE LOOKING FOR BENITO, A RESEARCH SCIENTIST WHO STUDIES THE WILDLIFE FOUND IN MEADOWS.

Benito, a man with short, dark brown hair, crouches and looks at a purple wildflower through a magnifying glass. Ella arrives at the meadow with Heze, Hosanna and Harper.

Ella says, OH, WOW! ISN'T THIS AMAZING?

Heze says, YEAH, THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.

He walks through tall grass with Ella, Hosanna and Harper. Benito stands

Benito says, HI, EVERYONE! I'M BENITO! COME AND EXPLORE!

He waves Heze and the others over to his spot in the grass.

Benito says, WELL, WELCOME TO THIS BEAUTIFUL MEADOW. THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF FLOWERS CAN GROW IN YOUR GARDEN IF YOU REFUSE TO MOW. ISN'T IT WONDERFUL?

Heze, Hosanna and Harper say, YEAH!

Benito asks, ARE THERE ANY PLANTS HERE THAT YOU RECOGNIZE AT ALL?

Ella says, YEAH, I RECOGNIZE THE BUTTERCUPS.

Benito says, MM-HMM.

The narrator says, YOU GET TO KNOW THE NAME OF PLANTS BY LOOKING AT THEIR COLOUR AND SHAPE.

Benito holds a tiny yellow flower between his fingers.

He says, THIS REALLY COOL PLANT CALLED BIRD'SFOOT TREFOIL.

The narrator says, BENITO KNOWS HUNDREDS.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

Later in the meadow, Benito hands out bug-catching nets to Ella, Heze, Harper and Hosanna.

Benito says, WE'VE SEEN ALL THE AMAZING FLOWERS THAT ARE HERE. AND THE REASON WHY THEY'RE SO IMPORTANT IS BECAUSE THEY PROVIDE A HOME FOR ALL SORTS OF OTHER MINI BEASTS, LIKE INSECTS. NOW, THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT TOOL.

He holds up his net.

Benito says, IT'S CALLED A SWEEP NET, BECAUSE IT ALLOWS US TO SEE WHAT'S LIVING IN MEADOWS LIKE THESE.

He sweeps his net side to side.

Benito says, SO, WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO IS, WE'RE GOING TO WALK THROUGH THESE MEADOWS. AND AS WE'RE WALKING, WE'RE GOING TO MOVE THE NET SIDE TO SIDE. DOES THAT SOUND GOOD, GUYS?

Heze and Harper say, YEAH!

Hosanna nods.

Benito says, ALRIGHT, LET'S GO!

Heze says, OKAY.

Ella says, ALRIGHT, COME ON, THEN.

[Cheerful music plays]

Everyone splits up across the meadow.

The narrator says, GENTLY FROM SIDE TO SIDE.

Ella sweeps her net side to side over plants.

The narrator says, WHOOSH, WHOOSH!

Harper sweeps her net across the tall grass.

The narrator says, THAT'S THE WAY, HARPER. OH, LOOK.

Harper holds up her net.

The narrator says, YOU'VE FOUND SOMETHING!

Benito looks at a bug in Harper’s net.

Benito says, NICE. SO, THAT IS A VERY SMALL BUG WHICH WE CALL AN APHID.

Harper continues through the meadow with Heze and Benito.

The narrator asks, WHAT ELSE WILL THE GRIMWADES COLLECT?

Hosanna and Ella glance over their shoulders toward Benito, Harper and Heze.

Benito says, RIGHT, COME ON, GUYS. LET'S SEE WHAT WE FOUND.

He kneels on a narrow trail of grass and looks at bugs in a net.

Benito says, ALRIGHT.

Ella says, THERE'S SOME SORT OF DARK BUG IN MINE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS.

Benito says, OOH, LET'S HAVE A LITTLE LOOK.

He looks at a bug standing on a net.

Benito says, AND THAT'S A SPECIAL TYPE OF BUG WHICH WE CALL A SHIELD BUG.

The shield bug crawls onto his finger.

Ella says, OKAY.

Harper smiles.

The narrator says, BENITO KNOWS HOW TO SPOT DIFFERENT INSECTS, TOO.

A small green bug stands on a net.

Benito says, THERE'S A GRASSHOPPER. THESE GUYS ARE VERY WELL CAMOUFLAGED, RIGHT?

Heze says, YEAH.

Benito says, THEY LOOK VERY MUCH LIKE THE GRASS IN WHICH THEY LIVE.

The narrator says, AND LOOKING LIKE WHERE YOU LIVE MAKES YOU HARD TO SPOT, KEEPING YOU SAFE.

Benito says, BUT AS SOON AS YOU MOVE, THEN YOU BECOME INSTANTLY OBVIOUS, DON'T YOU?

Heze says, YEAH.

Benito says, SO WHAT THE GRASSHOPPER DOES IS JUMPS, BASICALLY VANISHES. SO, CATCHING INSECTS LIKE THIS IS A REALLY IMPORTANT WAY FOR US TO SEE WHAT CREATURES ARE LIVING IN MEADOWS LIKE THIS.

Heze says, MM-HMM.

Benito says, BUT ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS TO PUT THEM BACK EXACTLY WHERE YOU FOUND THEM. SO, SHOULD WE DO THAT NOW?

Heze and Harper say, YEAH.

Benito says, COOL.

He stands up with his net.

Benito says, SO, TO LET THEM GO, WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO IS, WE'RE GOING TO TAKE OUR NET, TIP IT INSIDE OUT, AND THEN GIVE IT A GOOD SHAKE, LIKE THAT.

He tips, flips and shakes out his net. Ella, Harper, Heze and Hosanna tip, flip and shake their nets.

The narrator says, ALL THE INSECTS ARE SAFELY BACK IN THEIR HOME.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

At the Grimwade’s house, Tim stands by the lawn mower.

The narrator says, REFUSING TO MOW THE LAWN MEANS DADDY HAS MORE TIME TO SPEND WITH HALLE AND REU INSIDE.

Tim follows Halle and Reu inside. In the family room, Tim, Halle and Reu sit at the table with large pieces of paper, paint, paintbrushes and jars of water.

Tim says, SO, WE'RE GOING TO DO SOME PAINTING, OKAY? IS THAT GOOD?

Halle and Reu says, YEAH.

The narrator says, THEY'RE GOING TO PAINT ANOTHER VISITOR TO THE MEADOW. YELLOW, BLUE, AND RED.

Halle paints half a butterfly with a yellow and red wing on half of her paper. Tim helps Reu paint half a butterfly with a blue and red wing.

The narrator says, AND TO FINISH THE PAINTING, DADDY IS SHOWING HALLE SOMETHING NEW.

Tim says, CAN YOU FOLD IT IN HALF? AND WE'LL SEE WHAT WE GET.

Halle folds the painted half of her paper over onto the blank half.

Tim says, LOOK, REU. CAN YOU SEE WHAT SHE'S DOING? AND PRESS IT DOWN.

Halle presses down on her paper.

The narrator says, CAREFULLY OPEN IT OUT AGAIN.

Halle opens her paper and looks at a whole butterfly.

Tim says, LOOK, REU.

The narrator says, IT'S A BUTTERFLY!

A black and orange butterfly flaps its wings on a purple flower.

The narrator says, A BUTTERFLY'S PATTERN IS THE SAME ON BOTH SIDES. BY FOLDING THE PAPER OVER, YOU CAN USE ONE WING TO MAKE THE OTHER.

Tim unfolds Reu’s paper.

Tim says, TA-DA!

The narrator says, A MIRROR IMAGE.

Laughing, Tim says, HEY!

Halle says, HIGH-FIVE, REU.

She and Reu high-five.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

In the meadow, Benito crouches in the grass.

The narrator says, BACK AT THE MEADOW, BENITO EXPLAINS WHY BUTTERFLIES ARE SO COLOURFUL.

Ella, Hosanna, Heze and Harper join Benito, and he stands.

Benito says, BUTTERFLIES ARE BASICALLY JUST MASSIVE SHOWOFFS, RIGHT? AND THEY'RE THERE TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD, WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY HELP THEM ATTRACT A MATE. ALRIGHT, SHOULD WE GET BUTTERFLY SPOTTING?

Heze says, YUP!

Harper says, YES.

Ella says, YAY!

Benito says, RIGHT, LET'S SEE WHAT WE CAN FIND.

He leads the way further into the grass.

The narrator says, OH, WE'RE ON A BUTTERFLY HUNT!

Benito points to a black and red-winged inset.

He says, THAT'S A MOTH CALLED A BURNET MOTH.

Heze says, OH, LOOK, ANOTHER ONE OVER THERE IS ORANGE.

Benito says, YEAH.

Ella hikes through the tall grass behind Harper and Hosanna.

Heze says, OH, ANOTHER TWO. THERE'S THREE, FOUR.

Benito says, OH LOOK A THEM.

Elsewhere in the meadow, Ella says, OH, LOOK, THERE'S SOME HERE!

Benito says, SEE, THEY'RE VERY QUICK, BUTTERFLIES, AREN'T THEY?

Ella says, VERY FAST.

A butterfly flies away.

Benito says, WE'VE SEEN SO MUCH COOL STUFF, HAVEN'T WE?

Heze says, YEAH.

Benito asks, HAVE YOU HAD A GOOD TIME?

Heze and Hosanna say, YEAH!

Ella says, IT'S BEEN REALLY, REALLY INTERESTING, AND YOU NEVER KNOW. MAYBE OUR LAWN AT HOME WILL LOOK LIKE THIS MEADOW ONE DAY.

Harper, Heze and Hosanna say, YEAH.

Ella says, YEAH, ALRIGHT, THEN. TAKE CARE. BYE.

Benito says, SEE YOU. GOOD LUCK.

Heze and Hosanna wave and say, BYE.

Heze says, THANK YOU, BENITO.

Ella says, THANKS.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

In the Grimwade’s backyard, Halle pushes a stick with a painted butterfly into the ground.

The narrator says, IT MIGHT LOOK LIKE A MEADOW SOONER THAN YOU THINK, MUMMY.

Halle and Reu push more sticks with butterflies into the ground.

The narrator says, HALLE AND REU HAVE FOUND A WAY OF SHOWING WHAT COULD HAPPEN WHEN THE GRASS GROWS.

The colourful butterflies decorate the yard.

The narrator says, BUTTERFLIES EVERYWHERE.

Tim sits on the grass between Reu and Halle. Ella returns with Hosanna, Heze and Harper. Houston carries a stick with a butterfly.

Heze asks, WHAT DO YOU GOT THERE?

Ella says, OH, WOW! THIS IS AMAZING!

Heze says, YEAH, IT’S AMAZING.

Tim says, YEAH. BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE TO MOW THE LAWN, WE DID SOME PAINTING. I THINK I MIGHT HAVE GOT A BIT CARRIED AWAY, THOUGH.

Ella says, AH, THIS IS WONDERFUL. OUR OWN BUTTERFLY MEADOW.

Tim says, YEAH, IT'S AMAZING WHAT YOU CAN DO WHEN YOU REFUSE.

He pushes a stick with a blue butterfly into the ground.

[Cheerful music plays]

The narrator says, HOW DID THE GRIMWADES GO GREEN TODAY?

In a flashback, Tim pushes the lawn mower out of the shed.

The narrator says, THEY REFUSED TO MOW THE GRASS AND WENT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T MOW AND REWILD YOUR GARDEN INSTEAD.

In a flashback, Ella, Hosanna, Heze and Harper explore the meadow with Benito. In the present, the Grimwades look around at the painted butterflies.

Ella says, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT COMES TO LIVE HERE. IT'LL BE LOVELY IF WE FIND SOMETHING AS BEAUTIFUL AS DADDY'S BUTTERFLY. BUT EVERY BUG IS WELCOME.

Heze says, YEAH, AND THANKS TO BENITO, WE KNOW WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR OW.

Ella says, GRIMWADE GANG...

The Grimwades all say, WE'VE GONE GREEN!

Houston cheers, YEAH!

[Dinging]

Title: Go Green with the Grimwades.

In the cardboard park, Tim says, WE'VE GONE GREEN.

Ella says, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN.

[Upbeat music plays]

Tim and Ella sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.

The entire Grimwade family dances.

They all sing, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.

Outside the cardboard house, Tim sings, THE ANSWER'S OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR USING LESS AND RECYCLING MORE.

Ella sings, ALL THE LITTLE THINGS YOU DO REALLY HELP THE PLANET TOO.

In the park, the entire family sings, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GO GREEN, GREEN, GREEN. GO GREEN, GO GREEN, TO KEEP THE PLANET CLEAN.

Ella walks through the park.

She sings, IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK.

Ella waves to Heze, Hosanna and Halle, who are picking up trash in the park.

She sings, IT'S PICKING IT UP.

Tim hangs a plastic water bottle bird feeder in a tree.

Ella sings, IT'S FEEDING THE BIRDS.

[Birds chirping]

Ella holds up a reusable cup.

She sings, AND REUSING YOUR CUP.

In the Grimwade’s backyard, Reu stands by one of his pots of flowers with painted butterflies sticking out.

Reu says, YOU'RE PART OF THE GRIMWADE GANG, SO GO GREEN, TOO.

The narrator says, THAT'S RIGHT, REU. YOU DON'T NEED A LAWN TO GROW WILDFLOWERS. WHY DON'T YOU SOW SOME SEEDS TO ATTRACT WILDLIFE TO WHERE YOU LIVE?

In a flashback, Reu waters one of his plants.

In the present, he says, BYE!

The narrator says, BYE, REU! I HOPE SOME BUTTERFLIES VISIT SOON. THANKS FOR VISITING THE GRIMWADES. SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
