Transcript: The Key to Wheelchair Basketball
Curved white text over a white logo reads, All-Round Champion. A blue-toned photograph beneath the text shows spotlight shining on hurtle bars. The white logo shows a drawing of a featureless person holding up their arms. A straight light purple line separates the logo from white text that reads, The Key to: Wheelchair Basketball.
[Whoosh]
A muscular young man with medium-length straight black hair holds a basketball under his right arm. Text beside him reads, Jackson, Wheelchair Basketball. A graphic beside his name shows a person using a wheelchair and dribbling a basketball. Jackson wears a black basketball jersey with a large red number five outlined in white. The red team name outlined with white above the five reads, Eagles.
Jackson says, I'M REALLY
EXCITED TO TEACH MY
FELLOW ATHLETES HOW
TO PLAY WHEELCHAIR
BASKETBALL. I'VE BEEN
WORKING WITH GURNOOR
AND MOMO TO HELP THEIR
CHAIR SKILLS.
Jackson says, PUSH. DRIBBLE.
Athletes use wheelchairs. They dribble basketballs on an indoor basketball court.
[Thump]
Jackson encourages, PUSH, PUSH.
Jackson says, I'M REALLY
EXCITED FOR THEM TO HAVE
GREAT CHAIR SKILLS, TO
HAVE DEFENCE, TO SHOOT.
[Chuckling]
[Upbeat music plays]
A black-haired woman shoots for a basket and misses.
The black-haired woman says, THAT WAS TO
THE LEFT.
Jackson says, SO I'VE NOTICED
THAT YOUR ELBOW IS
COMPLETELY OUT, AND
YOUR FOLLOW-THROUGH
ISN'T STRAIGHT.
The black-haired woman says, OKAY.
Jackson says, THEY JUST NEED
MORE POWER.
The black-haired woman shoots a basket.
Jackson cheers, YES!
[Cheering, applause]
A young man with short blond hair smiles.
The blond-haired man says,
LET'S GO, G.
Jackson says, I AM JUST AS
HYPED AS, HOPEFULLY,
THEY ARE HYPED FOR
BASKETBALL WEEK.
IT'S REALLY EASY FOR
PRETTY MUCH A LOT OF
PEOPLE TO JUST PICK IT UP,
GO, UNDERSTAND, TURN.
BUT IF YOU DO RESEARCH,
GO ONLINE AND SEE WHERE YOU
CAN PLAY, WHAT GYMS OFFER
WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL,
IT'S REALLY GREAT TO JUST
COME IN AND TRY THEM OUT.
A voice says, EH.
A second voice says, HEY, HEY, HEY.
A basketball falls through a basket.
The first voice says, NICE!
[Cheering, applause]
The All-Round Champion logo spins as spotlights cross their beams behind it.
