Audrey swings on a vine with a golden lion tamarin clinging to her head. Tommy rides on Jack’s back as Jack swings from a second vine.

A person sings, OH, CAN YOU HEAR THEM, ANIMALS ARE CALLING. THEY ARE IN DANGER.

Audrey stands as she slides down a rock past Karl and Pat. Karl, a slender young man with black hair, watches Audrey slide past. He wears an olive green vest, a dark green hat, a yellow shirt, red pants, and red-rimmed eyeglasses. Pat bottle-feeds a large grey kitten with black spots. Audrey and Jack, still carrying Tommy, run past Jonas, a man with curly red hair. He lifts a rake over his head and spins as they pass.

[Whooshing, upbeat music continues]

Singers sing, TOGETHER.

Audrey pulls leaves to the side and reveals Tommy in a clearing with Jack, a giraffe, an elephant, and a gazelle.

The first singer sings, JOIN THE ADVENTURE.

Singers sing, THIS IS AUDREY'S SHELTER.

Title: Audrey’s Shelter.
Episode title: Kitty Versus Kanga.

Text reads, “Story Edited by Robert Pincombe, Shelley Hoffman. Written by Wagner Cardena. Storyboard by Jonathan Buisson.”

[Upbeat music plays]

The tall iron gates in front of the Shelter are open. Tommy rides his red bicycle down the path, drops it in front of the greenhouse, then drops it on the ground and runs into the greenhouse.

[Birds chirping, whooshing, clattering]

In the greenhouse, Audrey puts a handful of long grass on the ground. Milo, a brown pika, jumps from rock to rock, and then lands by the grass.

[Grass rustling, whooshing, upbeat music plays, squeaking, sniffing]

Audrey says, HELLO, MILO.

Milo grabs the grass and runs back to the rocks.

Tommy says, OKAY, EVERYONE! TIME FOR THE PRESENTATION! HMM?

[Squeaking, birds chirping]

Tommy asks, WHERE'S MAEVA?

Audrey says, GUESS SHE'S LATE. I'M SURE SHE'LL BE HERE SOON, THOUGH. HMM?

Tommy drops his knapsack on the ground and takes out a notebook.

[Thumping, unzipping, chiming]

Tommy says, TA-DAH! ARE YOU READY FOR THE AWESOME PRESENTATION ON THE DENDROLAGUS MATSCHIEI? LOOK! I'VE GOT SO MANY NOTES ON IT!

Tommy enthusiastically opens his notebook.

[Pages rustling]

Audrey says, HMM. DENDROLAMA MATCHY-MATCHY? WHAT'S THAT?

Tommy says, IT'S THE SCIENTIFIC NAME FOR THE TREE-KANGAROO.

Audrey says, AH, YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT OBI! COME ON, LET'S GO FIND HIM!

Audrey grabs Tommy, and they run.

[Whooshing, Tommy screaming]

Elsewhere in the greenhouse, Jonas attaches a safety rope to his belt and pulls on it.

[Clanking, rope creaking, birds singing]

Jonas says, ALRIGHT. ONE LAST SAFETY CHECK BEFORE I START CLIMBING UP THERE. OKAY, LET'S GO.

[Groaning]

Jonas says, MAYBE ONE MORE SAFETY CHECK FOR THE ROAD. YOU CAN'T BE TOO CAREFUL. OKAY, IT'S GOOD. JUST TAKE YOUR TIME, GO SLOWLY.

Jonas climbs a tree.

[Grunting]

Jonas says, THERE WE GO. LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN.

[Groaning, rope creaking]

Audrey says, HELLO, JONAS!

Jonas falls and dangles on the end of his safety rope.

[Dramatic music plays, Jonas screaming, rope creaking, whimpering]

Jonas says, OH, WHEW. DON'T SNEAK UP ON ME LIKE THAT, KIDS. IT'S DANGEROUS. ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M DOING A BIG CLIMB.

Audrey says, I'M SO SORRY, JONAS. EVERYTHING ALRIGHT?

[Rope creaking]

Jonas says, IT COULD BE BETTER. IT'S THE TIME OF YEAR TO PRUNE THE TREES, AND I'VE GOTTA CLIMB HIGH UP TO TRIM... THAT BIG SEQUOIA!

Everyone looks at the tallest tree in the jungle.

[Bird screeching, soft music plays]

Jonas says, THAT'S WHY I'VE GOTTA PRACTISE FIRST ON GLADYS. I'M NOT PROUD OF IT, BUT I'M SCARED OF HEIGHTS.

Audrey says, WE'RE LOOKING FOR OBI. HAVE YOU SEEN HIM BY ANY CHANCE?

Jonas says, OBI'S THE DENDROLAGUS, RIGHT? I SAW HIM HANGING OUT IN A TREE OVER THERE BEFORE.

Audrey and Tommy say, THAT'S AWESOME! THANKS, JONAS!

Jonas says, ALRIGHT, GLADYS, I'M GONNA FRESHEN YOU UP A LITTLE.

Jonas clips grass near the tree, Gladys.

[Rope creaking, snipping, chuckling]

A monkey climbs a tree and peers down at Audrey and Tommy.

[Chirping]

Audrey shouts, OBI? OBI?! HMM? OBI, WHERE ARE YOU? HMM?

[Grunting]

Audrey points and says, THERE HE IS!

Obi, a brown and white tree-kangaroo, stands on a tree branch and eats leaves. Tommy puts down his knapsack and takes out his notebook.

[Munching, backpack rustling]

Tommy says, I KNEW OBI WOULD BE THE PERFECT SUBJECT FOR OUR PRESENTATION. LOOK! IT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'D WRITTEN HERE. "DENDROLAGUS LOVE SPENDING THEIR DAYS EXPLORING DIFFERENT TREES AND EATING LEAVES."

Audrey says, HUH?

[Audrey sniffing, meowing]

Tommy says, HMM?

Audrey says, THERE'S A CAT AROUND HERE?

Maeva approaches carrying a cat carrier.

[Meowing, birds chirping]

Audrey says, HMM?

Maeva says, HELLO! AH, SORRY I'M LATE. MY POOR PRINCESS VOMITED ON THE WAY.

Tommy says, PRINCESS? WHO'S PRINCESS?

Maeva says, SHE'S THE MOST MAJESTIC CAT IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!

Maeva opens the carrier gate, and Princess, a white Persian cat, daintily steps out. She wears a red bow.

[Gate squeaking, meowing]

Audrey and Tommy say, WOW!

Maeva says, WE'RE HERE, PRINCESS. A BIT OF FRESH AIR WILL DO YOU A WORLD OF GOOD.

Tommy asks, WHY DID YOU BRING YOUR CAT? WE HAVE OUR WHOLE PRESENTATION ON THE DENDROLAGUS MATSCHIEI TO FINISH TODAY!

Maeva says, ABOUT THAT, I'VE BEEN THINKING, AND I BELIEVE THAT PRINCESS WOULD MAKE THE PERFECT SUBJECT OF OUR PRESENTATION.

[Purring]

Tommy says, WHAT?! NO, NO, YOU CAN'T COMPARE A FELIS CATUS TO A DENDROLAGUS!

Princess rubs against Tommy’s legs and tickles his nose with her fluffy tail.

[Purring, meowing, grumbling, happy music plays]

Audrey says, WHAT HE MEANS IS THAT YOU CAN'T COMPARE A CAT TO A TREE-KANGAROO.

Maeva says, OH! BUT YOUR KANGAROO ISN'T ON THE SAME LEVEL AS PRINCESS. SHE'S THE CUTEST, FASTEST AND SMARTEST CAT IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

Princess investigates a nearby bush.

[Sniffing]

Tommy says, OBI IS A TREE-KANGAROO, WHICH MEANS HE LIVES IN THE TREES. THAT IS MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN A MERE DOMESTIC CAT.

Maeva and Tommy glare at each other. Audrey pushes them apart and stands between them.

[Growling, rustling]

Audrey says, STOP IT! EVERY ANIMAL ON THE PLANET IS AMAZING IN THEIR OWN WAY. BUT WE ALREADY CHOSE THE DENDROLAGUS FOR OUR PRESENTATION.

Maeva says, WELL, I CHANGED MY MIND!

[Yowling]

The children say, HMM?

Princess and Jack stare at each other.

[Gasping, Audrey laughing]

Audrey says, IT LOOKS LIKE PRINCESS HAS MET OUR JACK. HELLO, JACK!

Jack signs to Audrey.

[Jack grunting, upbeat music plays]

Audrey says, YES, THAT'S IT EXACTLY, JACK! PRINCESS IS A CAT. SHE’S MAEVA’S CAT.

Jack reaches towards Princess and Maeva grabs her.

[Jack grunting, Princess meowing, birds chirping]

Maeva says, CAREFUL, JACK! PRINCESS IS MY FAVOURITE KITTY CAT. SHE IS NOT A GORILLA'S PLAYTHING!

Tommy says, HEY! TAKE THAT BACK! JACK WOULDN'T HURT A FLY!

Audrey says, THAT'S ENOUGH, YOU TWO! WHILE YOU WERE FIGHTING, WE LOST OBI.

[Birds chirping]

Tommy and Audrey say, HMM.

Maeva says, OH...LOOKS LIKE YOUR TREE-KANGAROO'S DISAPPEARED. LUCKILY, WE CAN STILL DO OUR PRESENTATION ON PRINCESS HERE. ISN'T THAT RIGHT, SWEETIE?

Princess wiggles out of Maeva’s arms and walks to a tree. She sits down and looks up at Obi.

[Princess yowling, munching]

Tommy says, AH!

Maeva says, OH.

Tommy says, AH! NICE TRY, MAEVA. BUT YOUR SUPERHERO CAT PRINCESS FOUND OBI.

Maeva says, ONCE AGAIN PROVING THAT HER INTELLIGENCE IS SUPERIOR.

Jonas shouts, HELP ME!!!

[Dramatic music plays, rustling]

Audrey says, HUH?! JONAS!

[Jack grunting]

Audrey says, JACK! YAH!

Tommy says, HMM? OH. HMM.

Jack swings away on a vine, carrying Audrey on his back. Tommy runs on the ground beneath them. His notebook falls out of his knapsack.

[Thumping]

Maeva looks around and then kicks the notebook beneath a bush.

[Mischievous laughter, rustling, meowing]

Jonas dangles upside down on his safety rope five feet from the ground.

[Rope creaking]

Jonas says, MM...

Audrey says, DON'T WORRY, JONAS! AH... I'LL HELP YOU OUT!

She pushes Jonas, and he spins right-side up. He unclips himself and drops to the ground.

[Clinking, Jonas exclaiming, birds chirping, footsteps rustling]

Jonas says, THANKS, AUDREY. AND THANK YOU, TOO, JACK. AH, THAT'S WHY I DON'T LIKE CLIMBING. AND I STILL HAVE THE SEQUOIA TO PRUNE. OH, BROTHER. I REALLY DON'T...

Tommy says, OKAY, LET'S GO! WE'VE GOT A PRESENTATION TO DO!

Audrey says, IT'S NOT GOING TO TAKE LONG. YOU'VE ALREADY WRITTEN DOWN ALL THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT OBI IN YOUR NOTEBOOK.

Tommy says, MM-HMM.

[Chuckling]

Audrey says, YOU COMING, MAEVA?

Tommy runs and Audrey follows him.

[Footsteps rustling]

Maeva says, HMM. YEAH, YEAH, I'M COMING.

[Snickering, purring, footsteps rustling]

In a treehouse, Tommy says, UH! I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. I WAS SURE I PUT MY NOTEBOOK AWAY IN MY BACKPACK!

Audrey says, IT MUST'VE FALLEN IN THE JUNGLE. HOW ARE WE GONNA DO THE PRESENTATION WITHOUT YOUR NOTES?

Maeva stands with one hand on a pink notebook and the other hand on her hip.

[Whooshing]

Maeva says, WELL, MAYBE WE CAN USE THIS. I HAPPEN TO HAVE PRINCESS'S JOURNAL ON ME.

Audrey says, HMM...

Maeva opens the notebook.

[Whooshing]

Maeva says, THERE'S LOTS OF INFO ABOUT CATS INSIDE.

Tommy says, OH, SURE. YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE IT. I'M STARTING TO WONDER IF MAYBE YOU TOOK MY NOTEBOOK!

Maeva says, OH, COME ON, TOMMY. I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

Tommy says, YOU'RE TOTALLY PREPPED TO DO A PRESENTATION ON YOUR LITTLE PRINCESS. WHATEVER.

Princess jumps out a window and chases Obi.

[Rustling, upbeat music plays]

Maeva reads, "DEAR JOURNAL, TODAY, I ATE A DELICIOUS BREAKFAST FROM MY STUNNING SILVER BOWL. MEOW. MEOW. MEOW."

Tommy says, NICE TRY, MAEVA! YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH IT THAT EASY! I RECORDED ALL MY NOTES ON THIS!

Tommy holds up a device.

[Beeping]

In a recording, Tommy says, ON THE GROUND, THE DENDROLAGUS ARE VERY SLOW AND CLUMSY. BUT IN TREES, THEY'RE INCREDIBLY AGILE.

In the recording, a man says, TOMMY, YOUR BLANKIE IS NICE AND DRY FOR TONIGHT.

[Beeping, Tommy giggling, groaning]

Maeva says, THIS ISN'T FAIR! THE THREE OF US WERE SUPPOSED TO PICK A SUBJECT AND DO THE PRESENTATION TOGETHER! COME ON, PRINCESS, WE'RE GOING! PRINCESS? OH! PRINCESS RAN AWAY!

Maeva looks out the window.

[Flapping, birds chirping]

Maeva says, THIS IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE! MY SWEET KITTY IS ALL ALONE IN THE JUNGLE! SHE COULD BE IN DANGER! OH, WHAT IF THE BIG, HAIRY GORILLA EATS HER UP?!

Tommy says, JACK DOESN'T EAT ANIMALS. GORILLAS ARE HERBIVOROUS MAMMALS!

Maeva cries.

[Maeva whimpering]

Audrey says, DON'T WORRY, MAEVA. WE'LL HELP YOU FIND PRINCESS.

Maeva says, MM-HMM.

In the jungle, Audrey, Tommy, and Maeva walk together.

Audrey shouts, PRINCESS?

Tommy shouts, WHERE ARE YOU HIDING?!

Maeva shouts, PRINCESS! WHERE ARE YOU?! MOMMY'S WORRIED!

[Sobbing, footsteps rustling]

Maeva says, PRINCESS! MY LITTLE PUFFBALL!

Maeva approaches Jack.

Maeva says, AH! YOU! SPIT IT OUT! WHAT'VE YOU DONE WITH MY PRINCESS?!

Tommy says, MAEVA, STOP THAT. I PROMISE YOU, JACK DID NOTHING TO PRINCESS!

Audrey says, MAYBE HE SAW WHERE SHE WENT. DID YOU HAPPEN TO SEE A WHITE CAT, JACK?

[Jack vocalizing]

Audrey says, THAT'S RIGHT, JACK! A CAT! WHICH WAY?

[Jack grunting]

The children say, HUH?

Jack points to where Obi and Princess snuggle on a branch.

Maeva says, PRINCESS! THERE YOU ARE, CUTIE! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW WORRIED I WAS! HOW DO WE GET HER DOWN FROM THERE?

Audrey says, I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT.

Audrey swings on a vine and climbs up the tree.

[Grunting, upbeat music plays, rustling]

Audrey says, OOMPH! HELLO THERE, PRINCESS. ALRIGHT, LET'S GET DOWN.

Audrey reaches for Princess. Obi flees and Princess follows him.

[Meowing]

Audrey says, NO!

[Meowing]

Maeva says, PRINCESS! COME BACK HERE!

Audrey says, C'MON, LET'S GO, JACK!

Jack climbs up to the branch and Audrey climbs up on his back. He follows Princess.

[Grunting, rustling, meowing, dramatic music plays]

Audrey says, FOLLOW THAT CAT!

Jack chases Princess as she follows Obi. Maeva and Tommy run beneath on the ground.

[Meowing, whooshing, rustling, dramatic music continues, grunting]

Maeva says, PRINCESS...!

Tommy says, PRINCESS IS A LOT MORE AGILE THAN SHE LOOKS! SHE'S HAVING NO DIFFICULTY FOLLOWING OBI!

Maeve says, WELL, YEAH, OBVIOUSLY. I TOLD YOU SHE WAS REALLY FAST.

Audrey says, OH, NO! LOOK! THEY'RE HEADED FOR THE BIG SEQUOIA!

[Meowing, wind gusting]

On a small branch on the sequoia, Jonas pulls on a rope.

[Groaning, rope creaking]

Jonas says, OKAY, LET'S GO. I JUST NEED TO TAKE MY TIME. I'LL CUT ONE LAST BRANCH, JUST THIS LITTLE GUY HERE, AND I'M DONE FOR THE DAY. HMM? HMM?

Leaves fall on Jonas as he saws the small branch. Obi lands on the end of the small branch. Princess drops down between Jonas and Obi.

[Sawing, thumping, leaves rustling, grunting, Jonas moaning, yowling, screaming, meowing, whimpering]

Jonas says, HMM! WHAT'RE YOU TWO DOING UP HERE?!

Jonas looks down at the distant ground.

[Exclaiming, rustling]

Jonas says, GET OFF! IT'S WAY TOO DANGEROUS!

Maeva and Tommy arrive at the base of the tree.

[Panting]

Maeva says, OH, PRINCESS, DON'T MOVE!

In a nearby tree, Audrey and Jack look up at the sequoia.

[Leaves rustling, birds chirping, purring, dramatic music plays]

The end of the small branch breaks and Obi and Princess fall with it.

[Cracking, yowling]

Tommy shouts, OBI!!!

Maeva shouts, PRINCESS.

The branch stops falling.

Jonas shouts, NO NEED TO WORRY, KIDS! I SECURED THE BRANCH WITH A VERY TIGHT KNOT!

[Exclaiming]

Maeva says, HUH?

Tommy and Maeva watch the knot undo on a nearby tree stump. They lunge forward and grab the rope. It drags them forward as the branch falls.

[Rope creaking, rustling, screaming, yowling]

Audrey and Jack grab the end of the rope, and Maeva and Tommy stop sliding forward.

[Grunting, relieved sighing]

Maeva says, BE VERY CAREFUL! I CARE ABOUT PRINCESS MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD! WE MUST SAVE HER!

They carefully lower the branch. Obi leaps off, and Princess slides to the edge and then falls off the branch.

[Exclamations, creaking yowling, dramatic music plays]

Maeva covers her eyes. Tommy rushes past her.

Maeva says, PRINCESS...!!!

[Maeva squeaking, Audrey and Jack cheering]

Audrey and Jack let go of the rope and the branch falls to the ground.

[Whooshing, crashing]

Tommy holds Princess. He puts her down.

[Tommy laughing, Princess meowing, purring]

Tommy says, HERE, MAEVA.

[Gentle music plays]

Maeva says, PRINCESS! YOU'RE SAFE AND SOUND, SWEETIE. I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU. MM! THANKS SO MUCH, TOMMY. THANKS, AUDREY. AND THANK YOU TOO, JACK.

[Jack grunting]

Maeva says, YOU SAVED MY SWEET, LITTLE PRINCESS.

Tommy says, IT WAS NOTHING. YOU KNOW, IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO, WE COULD DO OUR PRESENTATION ON PRINCESS. I DON'T MIND. SHE FOLLOWED A DENDROLAGUS TO THE TOP OF A SEQUOIA!

Maeva says, THAT'S NICE OF YOU, TOMMY, BUT... OBI IS VERY IMPRESSIVE HIMSELF. I THINK HE SHOULD BE THE STAR OF OUR PRESENTATION.

Obi walks to Maeva and she pets him.

[Birds chirping]

Tommy says, NO, I INSIST! PRINCESS ISN'T YOUR TYPICAL FELIS CATUS. SHE'S AWESOME!

Maeva says, YES, BUT OBI WENT UP TO THE TOP OF THE HIGHEST TREE IN THE REFUGE. HE REALLY IS THE KING OF TREE-KANGAROOS.

Tommy says, BUT, MAEVA, PRINCESS WENT UP TO THE TOP OF A GIANT SEQUOIA, TOO!

Maeva says, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WANTED...

Audrey says, OH, THIS TIME I'M KEEPING MY NOSE OUT OF IT. THEY'LL END UP AGREEING ONE OF THESE DAYS.

[Arguing continues]

Tommy says, WELL, I CHANGED MY MIND TOO!

Audrey and Jack walk away.

Audrey says, SAY, JACK, DID YOU KNOW TOMMY HAS A BLANKIE?

Tommy says, PRINCESS!

Maeva says, OBI!

At night, Jonas clings to the remains of the small branch on the sequoia.

Jonas shouts, HELLO?! IS ANYONE THERE?! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET DOWN FROM THIS SEQUOIA?!

He loses his balance and falls. Jonas dangles on the end of his safety rope.

[Exclaiming, creaking, screaming]

Jonas says, I THINK YOU AND I'LL BE SPENDING QUITE A BIT OF TIME TOGETHER, TREE.

[Upbeat music plays]
