Singers sing, THIS IS AUDREY'S SHELTER.

Title: Audrey’s Shelter.

Episode title: Missing Marcelo.

Text reads, “Story Edited by Sylvain Huchet. Written by Amy Brown. Storyboard by Agathe Capin.”

[Upbeat music plays, birds chirping, bicycle rattling]

The tall iron gates in front of the Shelter are open. Tommy rides his bicycle down the path, drops it in front of the greenhouse, and runs inside. In the greenhouse, Audrey dangles a banana over a golden lion tamarin. Karl stands beside them, drawing on his sketchpad.

Audrey says, COME ON, MARCELO!

[High-pitched screeching, whooshing, Audrey giggling]

Marcelo jumps for the banana.

Audrey says, YOU CAN GET IT!

[High-pitched screeching, Audrey giggling]

Marcelo runs across Audrey’s shoulders and leaps onto the banana. She lifts him off.

Audrey says, HUH? NICE TRY! I GOTCHA, MARCELO! YOU'VE GOT TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!

Karl says, THIS MONKEY IS THE CUTEST LITTLE THING!

[Screeching]

Tommy says, HE'S NOT JUST ANY LITTLE MONKEY; HE'S A GOLDEN LION TAMARIN!

Audrey says, HELLO, TOMMY! HMM? UH...

[Excited screeching, Tommy laughing]

Marcelo takes the banana and eats it perched on Audrey’s head.

Tommy says, MARCELO REALLY LIKES YOU.

[Screeching, munching]

Audrey says, I LOVE HIM TOO! WHEN MY MOM WENT ON HER EXPEDITION TO THE AMAZON, I WAS A LITTLE SAD. BUT MARCELO MADE ME FEEL MUCH BETTER!

[Audrey chuckling, rustling, belching]

Marcelo finishes his banana and drops the peel on Audrey’s head.

Audrey says, HUH?

[Whirring]

Jonas uses a grabber and picks the peel off Audrey’s head. He drops it into a green bin and walks away.

Tommy asks, AND MARCELO'S FROM THE AMAZON TOO, ISN'T HE?

Audrey replies, YES, MY MOM FOUND HIM WHEN HE WAS A BABY. HIS FAMILY ABANDONED HIM. BUT WE'RE HELPING HIM GROW UP TO THE BE BIG AND STRONG!

[Whooshing, birds chirping, pencil scratching]

Marcelo jumps up and down on Audrey’s head.

Karl says, AND... DONE! TA-DA!

[Bright music plays]

Karls shows his drawing of Marcelo.

[Tommy exclaiming, Marcelo chirping]

Audrey says, WOW! THAT'S REALLY GREAT, KARL!

[Music ends]

Hector arrives carrying a laptop computer.

Hector says, HEY, GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS.

Audrey says, IT'S TIME FOR US TO CALL MOM!

[Hector laughing, animals chittering, tapping]

Hector puts the laptop computer on a table.

Hector says, HI THERE, SWEETIE.

Audrey says, HEY, MOM!

Tommy says, HELLO!

Karl says, HEY, SONIA!

[Happy music plays, tamarins screeching, scraping]

On the screen, Sonia stands by a tree with golden lion tamarins dangling from branches and playing on the ground.

Sonia says, HELLO, EVERYBODY! EVERYTHING'S GOOD, I'VE COLLECTED SOME INCREDIBLE DATA. AND I HAVE NEWS! I FOUND A COLONY OF TAMARINS WHO WILL MAKE A GREAT FAMILY FOR MARCELO! HE'D BE BACK WHERE HE BELONGS!

[Marcelo screeching]

Tommy says, WOW! FOR REAL?

Hector says, THAT'S GREAT NEWS!

Karl says, AWESOME!

[Whooshing, thumping, gentle music plays]

Marcelo jumps off Audrey’s head and lands on the table.

Audrey says, BUT... MARCELO CAN'T JUST LEAVE! HE'S STILL TOO LITTLE, HE'S NOT READY YET!

[Soft screeching]

Hector says, IT'S TRUE, HE IS STILL YOUNG, BUT HIS NEW FAMILY WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM. WHAT IF WE DO A LITTLE TEST TO BE SURE? THAT WAY, WE'LL KNOW IF HE'S REALLY READY TO GO.

Audrey says, OKAY!

On the screen, Sonia says, TO FIT IN WITH HIS NEW COLONY IN THE WILD, MARCELO WILL HAVE TO LEARN TO CLIMB AND JUMP LIKE THEM!

Karl says, HEY! WHY DON'T I BUILD AN OBSTACLE COURSE TO TEST HIM ON?

[Excited screeching]

Everyone stares at Karl.

Hector says, GOOD IDEA! IF IT'S NOT TOO COMPLICATED.

Karl says, NOT AT ALL! YOU CAN COUNT ON ME! HMM... IT COULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

[Whooshing, Karl humming, pencil scratching]

Karl draws on his notepad.

Tommy says, AND WHILE KARL IS BUSY BUILDING THE COURSE, WE CAN TRAIN MARCELO!

Audrey says, YES! OKAY. I'LL RACE YOU! THREE, TWO, ONE, GO!

[Thumping]

Marcelo jumps onto Audrey’s head, and they run away from the table.

Tommy says, HEY! NO FAIR!

[Laughing, thumping, vine creaking, upbeat music plays]

Tommy chases Audrey. She runs up a rock and swings on a vine. Tommy follows her on the ground below.

Audrey says, YOU'LL NEVER CATCH US!

[Audrey laughing, birds chirping, Tommy grunting]

Tommy says, ONLY 'CAUSE YOU CHEATED!

[Thumping, Audrey gasping, Jack grunting]

Jack drops down in front of Audrey.

Audrey says, HEY THERE, JACK! WANNA RACE US?

[Jack vocalizing]

Tommy says, NO, STOP, PLEASE. I CAN'T RUN ANYMORE! WE HAVE TO HELP MARCELO TRAIN FOR HIS TEST!

Audrey says, JACK, CAN YOU SHOW HIM HOW TO CLIMB A TREE?

[Jack vocalizing, animal skittering, birds chirping]

Jack nods.

Audrey says, BEFORE HE LEAVES TO GO TO THE AMAZON, WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE HE'S READY TO LIVE WITH HIS NEW FAMILY IN THE WILD.

[Jack vocalizing, tree rustling, upbeat music plays, Audrey clapping]

Jack climbs a large palm tree, and it bends.

Audrey says, WELL DONE, JACK!

[Whooshing]

Marcelo jumps off Audrey’s head.

Audrey says, HMM? MARCELO, WAIT!

[Startled screeching, Jack grunting, thumping, birds chirping]

Audrey takes Marcelo off the tree trunk. At the top, Jack picks up a pineapple.

Audrey says, THIS TREE IS WAY TOO HIGH. WE HAVE TO FIND SOMEWHERE LESS DANGEROUS FOR YOU TO TRAIN.

Tommy says, WHAT? LOOK AT HIS HANDS. TAMARINS ARE THE ONLY MONKEYS TO HAVE CLAWS INSTEAD OF FINGERNAILS! AND MARCELO WILL NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CLIMB TALL TREES WITH HIS NEW COLONY. YOU HAVE TO LET HIM TRY.

Audrey says, OF COURSE I'M GONNA LET HIM TRY. HE CAN TRY IT RIGHT NOW. HERE.

[High-pitched squealing]

Audrey puts Marcelo down beside a tree stump the same size he is. Marcelo jumps on top of the stump.

[Audrey giggling]

Tommy says, HMM...

[Cracking, Jack vocalizing excitedly, Marcelo screeching excitedly, thudding, chittering, children gasping]

Jack cracks a coconut open. Marcello leaps off the stump and climbs the tree. He perches on Jack’s shoulder, and Jack gives him a piece of the coconut.

Tommy says, WOO-HOO! YOU'RE A NATURAL, MARCELO!

Audrey says, I DIDN'T KNOW HE COULD DO THAT.

Tommy says, MARCELO IS FULL OF SURPRISES! MAYBE HE IS READY TO GO BACK TO THE WILD.

Audrey says, DON'T GET AHEAD OF YOURSELF, TOMMY. HE STILL NEEDS TO DO HIS JUMPING TRAINING.

[Thudding, Tommy screaming, Jack and Marcelo vocalizing]

The ground shakes. Jack stands in front of the children, with Marcelo on his back.

[Animals calling, hooting, chittering, gentle music plays]

Beside the house in the greenhouse, Karl holds an upside-down saw. Pat arrives carrying a stack of flowerpots.

Pat says, HECTOR TOLD ME YOU WERE BUILDING AN OBSTACLE COURSE. SO, I FIGURED I'D COME GIVE YOU A HAND.

Karl says, NO NEED. I-I CAN BUILD IT ALL ON MY OWN. LOOK HERE. IT'S ALREADY PLANNED OUT.

[Paper rustling]

Karl holds up his sketch.

Pat says, AND YOU'RE GONNA BUILD ALL THAT BY YOURSELF, TODAY?

Karl says, MM-HMM!

Pat says, OKAY, WELL...I BETTER LEAVE YOU TO IT, THEN. BUT YOU MIGHT FIND IT EASIER IF YOU USE THE SHARP SIDE OF THE SAW.

Karl says, HMM? UH....OH, NO, NO! IT'S A SECRET TECHNIQUE. UH, SO MUCH FASTER THIS WAY.

[Saw scraping, Karl humming nervously]

Pat says, MM-HMM...

[Sawing]

Pat carries the flowerpots past Karl. After she leaves, he turns the saw over and saws a wood plank.

[Water splashing, insects buzzing, frogs croaking]

Tommy, Jack, Audrey, and Marcelo arrive at a riverbank. A fallen log leans against a tall, flat rock on one side of the river. On the other side, vines hang down on a small tree.

Tommy says, LOOK! THIS IS A PERFECT SPOT FOR MARCELO TO PRACTICE JUMPING!

Audrey says, NO, HE'S NOT READY TO JUMP QUITE THAT FAR.

[Excited screeching]

Marcelo jumps onto Audrey’s head.

Audrey says, HMM?

[Birds calling]

Tommy says, AUDREY, MARCELO NEEDS SOMETHING THAT WILL CHALLENGE HIM! TAMARINS CAN JUMP REALLY FAR IN THE WILD!

[Marcelo chittering]

Audrey says, BUT MARCELO IS STILL TOO LITTLE! HE NEEDS TO START WITH SOMETHING EASIER. HMPH!

[Tommy groaning, whooshing, upbeat music plays]

Tommy gestures up at a vine.

Tommy says, HEY!

Audrey says, HMPH!

[Tommy sighing]

Tommy says, HUH? EH?

Tommy kneels on a large rock.

[Marcelo chittering]

Audrey says, HMPH!

[Excited screeching]

Tommy gestures at two small palm trees growing close together.

Tommy says, HMM?

[Audrey giggling, bush rustling]

Audrey runs past the palm trees and puts Marcelo on a small bush. He leaps to another small bush.

Audrey says, HMM.

Elsewhere, Karl looks at his drawing of a ladder leading to platforms on a tree. A rope leads from one tree to another, and arrows point down to the ground. The arrow leads to another post with platforms on top.

[Paper rustling, Pat muttering]

Karl says, OH, YEAH. OH, WOW. YEAH, I THOUGHT I WAS ALMOST DONE, BUT...

A feather lands on a platform, and it collapses onto the ground.

[Whooshing, crashing, Karl gasping, birds twittering]

Karl says, I GUESS NOT.

[Walkie-talkie ringing, nervous yelping, static buzzing, birds calling]

Over the walkie-talkie, Hector says, SO? HOW'S THE OBSTACLE COURSE COMING ALONG?

Karl says, UH, REALLY GOOD! INCREDIBLE, ACTUALLY! I'LL BE DONE IN A MINUTE!

[Static buzzing]

Over the walkie-talkie, Hector says, AMAZING! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT. I'LL GO GET MARCELO AND THE KIDS!

[Static buzzing]

Karl says, WHY DID I VOLUNTEER FOR THIS? AT THIS RATE, I WON'T BE DONE FOR DAYS!

[Crashing]

Another wooden plank falls from a tree.

Pat says, MAYBE EVEN LONGER.

[Whooshing]

Karl holds onto Pat’s leg.

Karl says, PAT! PAT, PLEASE! HELP ME! I'M BEGGING! HELP ME!

Pat says, HMM...

[Karl crying, Pat chuckling, paper rustling]

Pat says, YOUR DESIGN IS GOOD. WE JUST NEED TO REINFORCE THE BASES A BIT.

Karl says, PHEW, THANKS.

Elsewhere, Jack peels a banana. Tommy sits on a rock beside him with his arms crossed over his knees.

[Rustling, Jack grunting, Marcelo squeaking, gentle music plays]

Audrey says, OH, MARCELO. I'M SORRY, BUT YOU'RE NOT READY. AND I'D JUST NEVER FORGIVE MYSELF IF SOMETHING WERE TO--

Tommy says, YOUR DAD WOULD NEVER LET HIM GO IF HE WASN'T READY. I KNOW THAT MARCELO CAN DO IT! BUT WE'LL NEVER BE SURE UNLESS WE GIVE HIM A CHANCE.

[Audrey sniffling]

Audrey says, YOU’RE RIGHT. I JUST WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY OUT THERE.

[Marcelo squeaking]

Marcelo jumps onto Audrey’s head.

Tommy says, HUH?

[Tommy giggling]

Hector says, OKAY! TIME FOR THE TEST!

Audrey says, WHAT? RIGHT NOW?

Tommy says, UH-OH...

By the house, Karl and Pat stand by the obstacle course.

Audrey says, WOW!

Tommy says, THAT'S INCREDIBLE!

Hector says, WOW, GOOD WORK, KARL! YOU DID THIS ALL BY YOURSELF?

Karl says, MM-HMM!

[Pat clears her throat]

Karl says, HMM?

[Chuckling nervously]

Karl says, PAT DID HELP ME A LITTLE... OKAY, A LOT!

[Clicking, tense music plays]

Hector picks up a wrench and speaks into it like it is a microphone.

Hector says, ALRIGHT, THEN. TO PASS THE TEST, MARCELO WILL NEED TO CLIMB THE ROPE LADDER, JUMP UP TO THE TOP PLATFORM, THEN USE THE ROPE BRIDGE TO CROSS TO THE OTHER TREE, DO ANOTHER BIG JUMP, AND FINALLY, CLIMB THE POLE TO REACH THE VERY TOP. SHOULD BE A PIECE OF CAKE FOR A TAMARIN LIKE YOURSELF, AM I RIGHT?

[Marcelo chirping]

Tommy says, DON'T YOU WORRY. MARCELO HAS IMPRESSED US ALL DAY LONG! I KNOW HE CAN DO IT!

[Audrey whimpering, Marcelo chittering]

Audrey says, LOOK UP THERE!

[Awed squealing]

Audrey points to a banana on top of the last pole.

Audrey says, ARE YOU READY?

[Whooshing, whistle blowing, birds chirping, Marcelo chittering, lively music plays]

Marcelo looks at the course. He leaps forward and climbs the first tree.

Tommy says, YOU GOT THIS, MARCELO!

Audrey says, HUH?

[Audrey whimpering]

Marcelo climbs up to a platform. Audrey stands and holds the sides of her face.

Audrey says, HUH?!

[Whooshing, Tommy clapping]

Marcelo pulls himself up onto a platform.

Audrey says, WELL DONE, MARCELO!

Tommy says, HE'S DOING SO GREAT! HE'S USING HIS HANDS AND FEET JUST LIKE JACK SHOWED HIM!

[Excited screeching, rope creaking, suspenseful music plays, Audrey whimpering]

Marcelo jumps onto the rope and walks across it. He pauses.

[Marcelo exhaling]

Audrey shouts, YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!

Tommy shouts, COME ON, MARCELO!

Audrey shouts, TAKE YOUR TIME AND REGAIN YOUR BALANCE, LIKE JACK DID!

[Excited screeching]

Tommy cheers, WOO!

Audrey shouts, SO GOOD, MARCELO!

Tommy says, KEEP GOING, JUST LIKE THAT!

[Cheering, applause, excited screeching, suspenseful music plays]

Marcelo runs to the platform's edge and looks at the pole with the banana on the top.

Tommy shouts, NOW, JUMP! DON'T BE SCARED! JUST THINK OF THE BANANA THAT'S WAITING FOR YOU!

[Nervous chirping, gasping, whooshing]

Marcelo looks down at the ground. He runs away from the platform's edge and clings to the tree.

Audrey says, HMM!

[Nervous chirping, ropes creaking, Audrey grunting]

Audrey climbs the tall pole and stops beneath the platform.

[Nervous screeching]

Audrey says, I'M RIGHT HERE, MARCELO! YOU CAN DO IT! I BELIEVE IN YOU!

[Tommy screaming, Marcelo screeching]

Marcelo jumps for the tree platform to Audrey’s shoulder.

Audrey says, YEAH!

Tommy says, YES! HE DID IT!

[Hector chuckling, Marcelo screeching]

Audrey says, WELL DONE!

[Excited screeching, thumping, upbeat music plays]

Marcelo jumps off Audrey’s head and climbs up to the banana.

Audrey says, OH!

Tommy says, WOW, WHAT AGILITY!

[Rustling, munching, belching]

Hector says, INCREDIBLE!

Tommy cheers, WOO HOO!

Pat cheers, GREAT JOB, MARCELO!

[Karl laughing, clapping, Marcelo chirping]

Marcelo drops down onto Audrey’s head.

Audrey says, GREAT JOB, MARCELO. I JUST KNEW YOU COULD DO IT.

[Rustling, banging, Audrey giggling]

Audrey jumps off the pole and throws the banana peel into Jonas’s bin as he walks past.

Jonas says, HMM?

[Jonas and Audrey laughing, hands slapping, birds chirping]

Tommy and Audrey high-five.

Hector says, WELL DONE! HE STRUGGLED A LITTLE BIT BUT GOT THERE IN THE END. AND IT'S ALL THANKS TO YOUR TRAINING, KIDS.

Karl says, BUT I, UH... OH...

[Thumping]

Pat pats Karl’s shoulder.

Pat says, YOU DID GREAT WORK, KARL.

Hector says, LET'S GET YOU READY FOR YOUR BIG TRIP TO YOUR NEW HOME!

Audrey says, WHAT? RIGHT NOW?! BUT... BUT I'M NOT READY YET!

Hector says, I KNOW, HONEY. BUT HE'S GOT TO GET TO HIS NEW COLONY SO HE HAS TIME TO ADAPT.

[Audrey sighing, sad music plays]

Audrey says, I’M REALLY GONNA MISS YOU, MARCELO. YOU KNOW I WOULD'VE LOVED FOR YOU TO STAY JUST A LITTLE BIT LONGER, BUT I WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT I'M SO PROUD OF YOU. AND I KNOW THAT YOU'LL BE VERY HAPPY WITH YOUR NEW FAMILY.

[Audrey crying]

Audrey hugs Marcelo.

Hector says, I KNOW IT'S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE. BUT MARCELO'S GOING TO HAVE AN INCREDIBLE LIFE IN THE AMAZON. AND HE'S GOT YOU GUYS TO THANK FOR THAT.

[Marcelo screeching, Audrey crying]

Hector picks Marcelo up and carries him away. Audrey waves.

A car arrives at the Shelter and parks in front of the Veterinary clinic.

[Engine rumbling, door handle clicking]

Inside her bedroom, Audrey plays with a toy barn. Sonia opens the door.

Sonia says, HEY, SWEETHEART.

Audrey says, MOM! OH, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, MOM! AND MARCELO, IS HE WITH HIS NEW FAMILY?

Sonia says, SEE FOR YOURSELF. LOOK, I HAVE A LITTLE SURPRISE FOR YOU.

Sonia plays a video on a laptop computer. In the video, she puts a cage down and opens the door.

In the video, Sonia says, SAY HELLO TO YOUR NEW FAMILY, MARCELO!

[Excited screeching, happy music plays]

Marcelo jumps out of the cage. The other golden lion tamarins surround him, and one pets his head.

[Audrey crying, laptop clicking]

Audrey hugs her mom.

Sonia says, OH, SWEETHEART. IT'S NORMAL TO BE SAD.

Audrey says, I'M NOT SAD. I'M ABSOLUTELY THRILLED! MARCELO SEEMED SO HAPPY. AND THEY ACCEPTED HIM RIGHT AWAY!

[Knocking, upbeat music plays]

Hector knocks on Audrey’s door. Karl, Pat, and Tommy stand with him.

Hector says, KNOCK, KNOCK! ROOM FOR A FEW MORE?

[Tommy giggling]

Karl says, WE ALSO HAVE A LITTLE SURPRISE FOR YOU. HMM? TA-DA!

[Chiming, Audrey gasping, thumping]

Karl holds up his framed drawing of Marcelo. Audrey grabs the frame and hugs it.

Audrey says, THANK YOU, KARL! I JUST LOVE IT!

[Everyone chuckling]

[Upbeat music plays]
