[Clanking, birds chirping]

Tommy says, THERE. YOU SEE? THERE WAS NO NEED TO RUN AWAY. YOU REALLY MADE ME WORK. AH, QUENTIN. HOW WAS IT. ARE YOU ALREADY DONE?
Quentin says, UH, WELL, I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF BRUSHING JACK, AND I, UH-- IT ALL WENT WRONG.
Tommy says, WHAT?
Maeva says, WELL, THE SAIGAS HAVE RUN AWAY, SO I CAN'T FINISH MY TASK. CAN WE GO SEE DARIUS NOW?
Tommy says, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? WHAT'S GOING ON?
Quentin says, UH, WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL YOU.
Tommy says, HMM? HUH?
[Rustling]
Leaves move in a nearby bush. Tommy arches his eyebrow and walks over.
Audrey says, OW!
[Leaves rustling, upbeat music plays]
Tommy says, AUDREY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? YOU PROMISED TO STAY OFF YOUR FOOT AND TO REST.
Audrey says, AND YOU PROMISED TO DO ALL THE STUFF YOURSELF, BUT YOU CALLED IN REINFORCEMENTS, AND THEY'RE NOT DOING THINGS HOW THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DONE.
Maeva says, WHAT?
Tommy says, NO ONE'S AS EXPERIENCED AS YOU AND YOUR DAD, BUT WE CAN STILL TRY AND GET IT DONE OUR WAY.
[Quentin and Maeva giggling, animal squeaking]
Audrey says, YEAH, I GUESS. ALL RIGHT. I'LL GO BACK IN. AS SOON AS I'M FINISHED BRUSHING JACK.
[Whooshing, rustling]
Tommy says, ARGH.
Maeva and Quentin say, HMM?
Audrey says, OKAY, FINE. I GET IT.
[Birds chirping, knocking on the door, upbeat music plays]
Later, Audrey sits on her bed, reading a book. Hector opens the door.
Hector says, WELL, THE BILBIES ARE IN GOOD HEALTH, HAPPY AND READY TO GO BACK HOME. AND HOW ARE YOU? HOW'S THAT ANKLE DOING?
Audrey says, MUCH BETTER, DAD. AH.
Hector says, I THINK MY LITTLE ADVENTURER IS MISSING THE ACTION A BIT. WHAT IF I TOOK YOU FOR A RIDE TO CHEER YOU UP?
[Clicking]
Hector holds forearm crutches.

[Sasha and Inga bleating, engine humming]
Audrey and Hector arrive in his sports utility vehicle.
Audrey says, WOW! SASHA AND INGA SEEM PRETTY HAPPY. LOOKS LIKE YOU DID A GOOD JOB.
Quentin says, THEY TRIED TO DISTRACT ME, BUT SOME SCRATCHES CALMED THEM DOWN.
Hector says, WELL DONE, QUENTIN. WHY DON'T YOU HOP IN THE BACK AND COME WITH US?
[Engine humming]
Quentin sits in the backseat.
[Jack vocalizing]
In the jungle, Maeva relaxes on the tire swing and brushes Jack’s back. He wears a pink bow in his hair.

[Chuckling]
Maeva says, OH, I KNOW.
Hector says, ALL RIGHT. GET IN, MAEVA.
[Engine humming, Paco munching, upbeat music plays, Joyo snorting, Tommy grunting]

Audrey says, OOH. HUH? WHOA! NOT BAD.
[Rustling]
Tommy pushes his shovel into the mud and walks to the vehicle.
Tommy says, OH, YEAH. IT'S SO MUCH EASIER WHEN YOU HAVE GREAT FRIENDS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT.
Audrey says, YES. YOU'RE RIGHT. YOU GUYS DID SUCH A NICE JOB. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR HELPING. ESPECIALLY YOU, TOMMY.
[Snoring]
Tommy sleeps in the backseat. Maeva frowns and pushes him upright.

Tommy stands on a tire swing and roughly brushes Jack’s back. Jack glares at him.
Tommy says, STOP MOVING AROUND, JACK. JUST STAY STILL FOR ONE MINUTE.
[Joyo snorting]
Tommy says, HMM? HMM?
[Snorting]
Tommy says, OH. HEY THERE, JOYO.
[Laughing nervously]
Tommy says, YOUR, UH, FOOD IS READY.
[Flies buzzing, tense music plays]
Tommy picks up a bucket of purple food with flies circling the top.
Tommy says, BLEH.
[Joyo snorting, static crackling]
On the walkie-talkie, Audrey says, AUDREY TO TOMMY. DID YOU PUT THE BUCKET OF SEEDS AWAY? OVER.
[Tommy grumbling]
Tommy shouts, YES! COPY THAT.
[Joyo snorting, squeaking, thumping]
Tommy runs away, still carrying Joyo’s food bucket.
Tommy says, ARGH. ARGH. ARGH.
[Paco squawking, water bubbling]
Paco stands in chest-deep mud. Tommy arrives and sees the hose waving in the air.
Tommy says, OH, NO. NO, NO, NO.
[Whooshing, shouting, thumping, mud splashing]
Tommy slips in the mud.
Tommy says, OOF.
On the walkie-talkie, Audrey says, AUDREY TO TOMMY. YOU PUT ALL THOSE SEEDS AWAY, RIGHT?
[Tommy groaning]
On the walkie-talkie, Audrey says, OVER.
[Static crackling, mud bubbling]
The food bowl sinks in the mud.
On the walkie-talkie, Tommy says, YES. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THAT. OVER AND OUT. OH.
On the walkie-talkie, Audrey says, AUDREY TO TOMMY. AUDREY TO TOMMY. WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU? HMM?
[Footsteps splashing, static crackling]
Tommy walks into Audrey’s room, leaving muddy footprints behind him.
On the walkie-talkie, Tommy says, TOMMY HERE.
Audrey says, HMM?
Tommy says, OKAY, FINE. YOU WERE TOTALLY RIGHT. I CERTAINLY CANNOT DO THIS ALL ALONE.
[Audrey giggling, towel rustling]
Tommy wipes Joyo’s food off his head.
Audrey says, I KNEW IT. WELL, LET'S GO.
Audrey stands.
Audrey says, OW! OOH. OW.
[Someone whistling, thumping]
Audrey hops to her chair.
Tommy says, NO, NO, NO! YOU NEED TO KEEP OFF IT. BESIDES, I ALREADY CALLED IN REINFORCEMENTS.
[Window creaking, birds chirping]
Tommy opens a window, and he and Audrey look outside. Quentin and Maeva stand below.
Quentin says, HELLO, AUDREY. WE'RE HERE TO HELP.
Maeva says, HELLO.
Audrey says, HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO CONVINCE MAEVA TO COME HELP?
[Tommy laughing]
Tommy says, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT.
Audrey says, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT RUNNING THE REFUGE. THEY'LL HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO THE—
[Whooshing, thumping]
Tommy gives Audrey a book.
Tommy says, AUDREY, DON'T YOU WORRY. JUST RELAX. WE'LL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING.
[Door closing]
Audrey says, HMM?
[Upbeat music plays]
By the greenhouse, Tommy says, THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING BY, YOU GUYS.
Quentin says, NO PROBLEM. I KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF ANIMALS BECAUSE I HELP MY PARENTS AT THE FARM.
Maeva says, YEAH, YEAH. AND I BROUGHT THE PRIZE RIBBONS THEY PUT ON PRZEWALSKI HORSES. SO, I THINK I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING, TOMMY.
Tommy says, YEAH. GOOD. OKAY. WE'LL FIRST NEED TO MAKE SURE ALL THE CHORES GET DONE, AND THEN YOU CAN GO SEE DARIUS.
Maeva says, ARGH.
[Rustling, Maeva grumbling]
Tommy gives Maeva a pitchfork.
Tommy says, ALL RIGHT, MAEVA. I NEED YOU TO CLEAN THE SAIGA ENCLOSURE AND MAKE SURE IT HAS FRESH STRAW. AND QUENTIN, YOU CAN FEED JOYO THE BABIRUSA, AND AFTER THAT, YOU CAN BRUSH JACK.
[Clanking, birds chirping]
Audrey watches through binoculars as Tommy gives Quentin Joyo’s food bucket and Jack’s brush.
Audrey grumbles, HMM.
Tommy says, AND I'M GOING TO TIDY UP THE CLEARING AND GIVE STICKY HIS VITAMINS.
[Maeva exclaiming]
Maeva says, UGH. OH, OKAY. WELL, IF I'M GOING TO GET MY HANDS DIRTY, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE FOR A GOOD CAUSE.
Tommy says, YES. EXACTLY. LET'S DO IT, GUYS!
[Bright music plays, rustling]
Audrey says, "LET'S DO IT, GUYS?" THIS IS WAY TOO IMPORTANT. I HAVE TO FOLLOW THEM TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT.
[Clanging, upbeat music plays]
In the jungle, Quentin bangs the brush against the food bucket.
Quentin says, JOYO, JOYO? TIME TO EAT. HMM? OH. HELLO, JACK. DO YOU REMEMBER ME?
[Jack vocalizing, happy music plays]
Quentin says, AWESOME, 'CAUSE IT'S TIME FOR A LITTLE MAKEOVER.
[Jack vocalizing happily, brush scraping]
Audrey whispers, QUENTIN? THAT'S NOT HOW WE DO IT.
Quentin says, AUDREY, IS THAT YOU?
[Rustling]
Audrey hops to Quentin.
Audrey says, SHH. KEEP IT DOWN. OW! I'M SORRY, BUT THAT'S NOT HOW WE BRUSH JACK. USUALLY, WE START AT HIS BACK AND WORK OUR WAY DOWN. HE LIKES IT THAT WAY.
Quentin says, UH, AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE IN BED?
Audrey says, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO REST IF YOU GUYS CAN'T DO THESE CHORES PROPERLY?
[Shouting, Jack vocalizing angrily, dramatic music plays, bushes rustling]
Audrey takes the brush. She puts her weight on her ankle and hits Jack's back with the brush. Jack runs away.
Audrey says, JACK... OW! COME BACK. HE DIDN'T LIKE HOW YOU WERE DOING IT.
Quentin says, HE SEEMED FINE BEFORE YOU SHOWED UP AND—
[Gasping, grunting, whooshing, leaves rustling]
Tommy chases Sticky on a path. Audrey hops behind a rock.
Audrey says, YOU NEVER SAW ME, OKAY?
Quentin says, UH, WHAT?
[Maeva grunting, Sascha and Inga bleating, upbeat music plays]
Maeva pushes hay with the pitchfork.
Maeva says, SASHA, INGA, YOU'RE BEING VERY IMPATIENT.
Audrey says, PST!
Maeva says, HMM?
Audrey says, MAEVA, THAT'S NOT HOW IT'S DONE.
Maeva asks, AUDREY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT OF BED?
[Grunting, thumping]
Audrey hops on one foot.
Audrey says, NEVER MIND THAT. YOU HAVE TO BE STACKING THEM HIGHER.
Maeva says, O-KAY.
[Whooshing, grunting, hay rustling]
Maeva asks, HOW'S THIS? GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU? WHOOP! OOH.
Audrey says, MAEVA!
[Shouting, bleating, thumping]
Maeva carries a heavy load of hay on her pitchfork and falls. Sascha and Inga run away.
Maeva says, OH, LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!
[Hoofbeats thudding, Audrey grunting, thumping]
Audrey hops after Inga and Sascha.
Audrey says, I'LL GO GET THEM. DON'T TELL TOMMY.
[Grunting, upbeat music plays, footsteps rustling, Sticky squeaking, birds chirping]
In the jungle, Tommy puts Sticky on the ground by Quentin.
Audrey says, HUH? AH! THANKS, DAD.
[Exotic music plays, whooshing, hay rustling, chuckling]
On the plains, Quentin throws hay on top of a large stack. Quentin twirls the pitchfork over his head.
Audrey says, WOW. JACK WAS AWESOME! YOU REALLY DID SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB THERE, MAEVA.
[Chuckling]
Maeva says, OH, I KNOW.
Hector says, ALL RIGHT. GET IN, MAEVA.
[Engine humming, Paco munching, upbeat music plays, Joyo snorting, Tommy grunting]
Hector drives through the jungle. He passes Paco, who is eating from the food bowl and stops beside Joyo and Tommy. Joyo lies on a pile of mud; Tommy wipes his brow and leans against a shovel.
Quentin says, SHH.
[Laughing]
Audrey says, WELL, I GUESS WE'VE GOT ONE MORE JOB TO ADD TO THE LIST.
[Clicking, engine humming]
Audrey says, TOMMY'S AFTERNOON NAP.
[Everyone laughing]
