TWO HUNDRED AND TEN MILLION PEOPLE.

ENGLISH IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE,
BUT THE MAIN NATIVE LANGUAGES
SPOKEN ARE YORUBA, HAUSA AND IGBO.

IT IS NOT WELL-KNOWN, BUT
IT'S PART OF CANADIAN HISTORY.

Zara says, AFRICVILLE HAS BUSINESSES
AND THEIR OWN CHURCH, BUT
EVERYTHING GOT DESTROYED
BY THE CITY AND PEOPLE FROM
AFRICVILLE HAD TO LEAVE.

Kara says, A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO,
THE CITY OF HALIFAX APOLOGIZED
TO THE PEOPLE OF AFRICVILLE.

Zara says, AND THE AFRICAN NOVA
SCOTIAN COMMUNITY BUILT A
CHURCH THAT LOOKED EXACTLY
LIKE THE ORIGINAL.

The tour guide says, WELL, THIS IS
THE END OF OUR TOUR. THANK YOU
GUYS SO MUCH FOR COMING.

Zara, Kara and their mother say, THANK YOU, BYE.

[Chiming]

Back at home, Kara and Zara stand side by side. Dark blue text reads, “Fashion.”
