Messy sings, FIND OUT WHAT YOU WANT

Messy drives through the countryside past a pond and down a road with dancing trees.
He sings, OKIDO, OKIDO
The singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.
Messy drives through Okido, a large city with tall, colourful buildings.
He sings, ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT
TO KNOW.
Messy drives onto a loop de loop and underwater.
He sings, COME ALONG AND SAY HELLO.
LET'S GO SEE OUR FRIENDS!
Messy runs into a domed shaped house. Inside, he joins a blue haired boy who wears a striped blue shirt and blue hat.
Messy shouts, FELIX!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
A red haired girl wearing red overalls and a red hat waves to Messy.
Messy shouts, ZOE!
Zoe high-fives Messy.
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Messy cheers, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Zim, who has a square shaped body and computer face appears with Zam, a green triangle, and Zoom, a pink creature. Zam’s science experiment explodes, filling the room with smoke.

In Okido, Messy dances down a street with his friends.

Zoom transforms into a screen that reveals the title, Messy Goes to Okido. Messy jumps beside the screen and smiles.
[Birds chirping]
In a backyard, clothes hang on a clothesline. The episode title reads, Paperchase. Written by Andrew Barnett Jones and Ciaran Murtagh. Messy hops down a stone path behind the clothesline.
He says, HIYA!
IT'S TIME FOR MY FAVOURITE
SNACK - A PAIR OF SOCKS.
Messy leaps toward a pair of green socks on the clothesline.
[Messy grunting]
The pair of socks are yanked off the clothesline.
Messy says, MMM...
[Munching]
Messy says, BUT WHERE'S THE OTHER ONE?
I HAD A PAIR OF SOCKS, AND ONE
IS NEVER ENOUGH!
He looks at the lush green grass around him. A green sock is behind him.
Messy says, HMM...
[Messy groaning]
Messy says, IT'S GOT TO BE HERE SOMEWHERE.
SO, WHY CAN'T I SEE IT?
WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO TO
OKIDO!
[Magical music plays]
A green and white tunnel transports Messy to Okido, where he falls through the sky onto spring platforms and off a trampoline onto the ground.
Messy calls out, FELIX!
ZOE!
Felix and Zoe appear behind Messy.
[Felix and Zoe giggling]
Messy asks, ARE YOU PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK?
He grins and runs across the grass.
He says, COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREVER
YOU –
Messy runs up to a tall, rainbow coloured paper monster.
Messy yells, WAH!
He falls on the grass and looks up at the tall paper monster.
He says, WOW!
He takes a step back.
[Felix laughing]
Felix and Zoe appear from nearby bushes.
Felix says, HI, MESSY.
I SEE YOU MET OUR NEW MONSTER
FRIEND.
Messy says, HELLO!
AND HI, ER...
WHAT'S YOUR NAME?
He climbs up the monster.
He says, YOU'RE VERY QUIET, AREN'T YOU?
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe says, IT'S ONLY A PAPER MODEL,
MESSY.
WE MADE IT FOR YOU.
Messy says, OH, IT'S BRILLIANT!
I'D LOVE TO BE THIS COLOURFUL.
He jumps down, stumbles, and falls.
Messy says, OOPS!
EXCEPT THIS BIT.
He points to a part of the paper monster that is missing paper.
He asks, WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
Zoe says, WE NEED MORE TISSUE PAPER.
WE WERE JUST GOING TO PICK SOME
MORE FROM THE PAPER-LEAF TREE.
Messy says, OOH!
WHAT'S THE PAPER-LEAF TREE?
Felix says, IT'S WHERE EVERYONE IN OKIDO
GETS THEIR PAPER!
Zoe says, IT HAS COLOURED PAPER FOR
LEAVES.
Messy says, WOW.
OKAY, THEN, LET'S OKI-GO!
[Messy whistling]
Messy’s white and blue convertible leaves the garage beside the house.
Messy says, BYE-BYE, QUIET MONSTER.
He, Zoe, and Felix hop in. The roof closes over them.
Messy says, LET'S SKI-DOODLE, OKIDOODLE!
[Cheerful music plays]
Messy drives to the park.
[Tires screeching]
The three friends run through the park.
Felix says, WE’RE NEARLY THERE.
Messy skids to a stop.
Gasping, Felix says, OH, NO!
Zoe says, LOOK AT THE PAPER-LEAF TREE!
The friends look at a leafless tree.
Messy asks, WHERE IS IT?
IS IT BEHIND THAT TREE WITH NO
LEAVES ON?
Felix says, NO, THAT IS THE PAPER-LEAF
TREE!
BUT IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING'S
WRONG.
Zoe says, I THINK IT'S RUN OUT OF
PAPER.
Felix says, OR SOMEONE HAS TAKEN ALL OF
IT.
Messy says, NOT ALL OF IT!
THERE'S ONE LEAF LEFT!
He climbs up the tree branches to a single red paper leaf.
[Messy grunting]
Zoom flies up beside Messy.
[Zoom beeping]
[Messy yelping]
Messy jumps back. He clings to the tree branch.
He says, OH, HI, ZOOM.
DON'T YOU WANT ME TO PICK IT?
[Zoom beeping]
Zoom frowns and shakes their head. Zam and Zim hurry down the trail toward the tree
[Panting]
Zam says, OH, THAT'S THE LAST LEAF
LEFT, MESSY.
[Zam panting]
Zam says, YOU SHOULD, UH, "LEAF" IT ALONE.
Zim’s screen flickers. He hurries to the tree with a watering can.
[Zim panting]
Messy says, HI, ZAM!
HI, ZIM!
Zim says, HELLO!
Zam says, HELLO!
Messy hops down from the tree.
Felix asks, WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE TREE,
ZAM?
Zam says, SOMEONE OR SOMETHING HAS
BEEN TAKING FAR TOO MANY PAPER
LEAVES.
Felix says, OH, BUT WE NEED COLOURED
TISSUE PAPER TO FINISH OUR MODEL
MONSTER.
Zam says, LOTS OF PEOPLE NEED PAPER,
FELIX.
IT'S CAUSING CHAOS ALL OVER
OKIDO.
Zoe says, THIS IS BAD!
WE NEED TO FIND OUT WHO OR WHAT
IS DOING THIS.
Zam says, WELL, ZIM, ZOOM AND I NEED
TO NURSE THIS POOR TREE BACK TO
FULL BLOOM.
Zoom nods.
Zoe says, I KNOW!
WHY DON'T WE TRACK DOWN THE
PAPER-TAKER, WHILE YOU TAKE
CARE OF THE TREE?
Zam says, WELL, THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL.
Messy says, WELL, HELPFUL IS MY MIDDLE
NAME!
WHAT DOES THE PAPER-TAKER
LOOK LIKE?
Zim says, OOH, NOBODY KNOWS.
THE FEW PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN
IT CAN'T EVEN AGREE WHAT COLOUR
IT IS.
[Spooky music plays]
Messy says, BUT HOW CAN WE FIND SOMETHING
IF WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS
LIKE?
Felix says, OH, HOW ABOUT BY FOLLOWING
THE THINGS IT DROPS?
He points to a piece of orange paper on the grass.
Zam says, WELL SPOTTED, FELIX.
Felix says, IT WAS EASY.
IT'S ORANGE AGAINST A GREEN
BACKGROUND.
He picks up the orange paper.
He adds, IT REALLY STANDS OUT!
Messy runs onto a stone trail and points at another piece of paper.
He says, AND LOOK!
THERE'S MORE!
He picks up a piece of blue paper.
He says, OKAY, LET'S OKI-GO!
[Felix laughing]
Messy and Felix run down the trail. Elsewhere in the park, Messy collects other pieces of colourful paper leaves. The paper leaves cover bushes and leaves.
[Messy giggling]
[Felix groaning]
Felix groans, OH, WE'VE BEEN AROUND THE
PARK TWICE AND THE TRAIL JUST
KEEPS GOING!
Zoe looks tired as she joins Felix and Messy.
She says, SO WE HAVE TO KEEP GOING,
TOO.
Messy says, I LIKE THIS
PAPER-TAKER!
THEY MAKE ALMOST AS MUCH MESS
AS I DO!
He smells a flower. A red butterfly flies out of a red flower. The butterfly looks like the flower.
Messy yelps, WAH!
He stumbles backward, trips and falls.
Messy wails, AAH!
He knocks into Felix and they both fall down.
[Felix grunting]
Messy says, THAT FLOWER FLEW AWAY.
Felix looks at a brown insect on a tree stump. The insect looks like a stick.
He says, AND THIS TWIG'S GOT LEGS.
WHAT'S GOING ON?
Zoe speaks to her watch.
She says, ZIM, COME IN, ZIM.
Zim appears on the watch in a video call.
He says, ZOE!
Zoe says, ALL THE PLANTS HAVE STARTED
MOVING ABOUT!
A green insect stands on a tree stump. The insect looks like a leaf.
Zoe asks, HAVE WE WANDERED INTO A MAGIC
FOREST?
Zim says, AH, YES, I CAN ANSWER THIS.
THOSE AREN'T PLANTS.
THEY'RE ANIMALS THAT LOOK LIKE
PLANTS.
THEY'RE USING CAMOUFLAGE.
Messy says, CAMO... WHAT?
Zim explains, CAMOUFLAGE.
SOMETIMES, SHY LITTLE CREATURES
THAT DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN BY
BIGGER CREATURES DISGUISE
THEMSELVES AS PLANTS AND TWIGS.
SO YOUR TWIG WITH LEGS IS A
CAMOUFLAGED INSECT CALLED A
STICK INSECT.
On an owl’s tree, a stick insect hides on a branch. A bear cub falls down the tree.
Messy says, AND THIS FLYING FLOWER ISN'T
A FLOWER!
IT'S A BUTTERFLY!
The red butterfly flies away from Messy.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe says, SO CREATURES USE CAMOUFLAGE
IF THEY DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN.
Zim says, YES, THAT'S RIGHT!
SOME CREATURES EVEN CHANGE
COLOUR, SO THEY CAN HIDE BETTER,
LIKE THE SMITH'S DWARF
CHAMELEON.
A chameleon changes their colours as they crawl across a tree branch.
Messy says, I WISH I HAD CAMOUFLAGE.
IT WOULD BE LIKE BEING
INVISIBLE!
He holds to large leaves in front of him.
Felix says, WOW!
Zoe says, THANKS, ZIM.
She ends the video call.
Felix says, MAYBE THAT'S WHY WE CAN'T
CATCH THE PAPER-TAKER.
Zoe says, BECAUSE IT'S CAMOUFLAGED!
Messy says, SO HOW WILL WE FIND IT?
Zoe says, WE'LL HAVE TO GET THE
PAPER-TAKER TO COME OUT TO WHERE
WE CAN SEE IT.
Messy says, BUT HOW DO WE DO THAT?
[Felix chuckling]
Felix says, WITH PAPER, OF COURSE!
He leaves a pile of paper on the ground, then hides behind a bush with Messy and Zoe.
Messy asks, NOW WHAT?
Zoe says, NOW, WE WAIT.
She and Felix watch the pile of paper.
[Stomach rumbling]
Messy holds his stomach.
He whispers, SORRY.
[Zoe giggling quietly]
Messy whispers, I ONLY HAD ONE SOCK AT SNACK
TIME!
[Felix chuckling quietly]
Messy whispers, I'M STILL HUNGRY.
Felix whispers, LUCKILY, I BOUGHT SANDWICHES.
[Zoe laughing]
Zoe says, OF COURSE YOU DID.
[Messy’s stomach rumbling]
Felix gives Messy a wrapped sock sandwich.
[Messy rumbling]
Messy whispers, OLD SOCKS, AND MARMALADE.
YUMMY!
He bites into his sandwich.
[Munching]
Messy says, MMM!
He sits down and sets his sandwich on the ground. Felix and Zoe sit with their own sandwiches. Messy’s sandwich moves across the grass.
Felix whispers, HUH?
SOMETHING'S TAKING YOUR
SANDWICH!
[Felix gasping]
Felix says, AND YOUR PAPER SANDWICH WRAPPER!
Messy loudly says, HEY, I HAVEN'T FINISHED THAT!
COME BACK, THAT'S MY SANDWICH!
His sandwich is left on the ground while the paper wrapper is taken away.
Zoe whispers, IT'S THE PAPER-TAKER!
The paper taker is camouflaged with the green grass and green sandwich wrapper with purple polka dots.
Messy says, BUT WHERE IS IT?
The paper taker takes the wrapper to a spot of dirt and becomes brown.
Zoe whispers, IT'S THERE, LOOK.
She points to the paper taker.
She says, IT'S THE SAME BROWN COLOUR AS
THE GROUND, AND THAT MAKES IT
HARD TO SEE.
Messy kneels in front of the paper taker.
He says, IT'S NOT ALL BROWN.
THAT BIT IS GREEN WITH PURPLE
SPOTS!
Half of the paper taker matches Messy’s sandwich wrapper.
Felix whispers, THE SAME AS YOUR WRAPPER.
Messy yells, HELLO!
The paper taker runs away with the sandwich wrapper.
Felix says, OH, NO, MESSY!
YOU'VE SCARED HIM!
Zoe says, QUICK, BEFORE WE LOSE IT
AGAIN!
She, Felix, and Messy run down the stone path after the paper taper.
Messy says, WHERE IS IT?
Felix says, THERE!
He points to a paper nest on a tree branch.
Messy says, OH, PRETTY.
Felix says, SO THAT'S WHERE ALL THE PAPER
WENT.
THE PAPER-TAKER WAS MAKING A
NEST TO LIVE IN.
Zoe says, BUT THE PAPER-LEAF TREE IS
MISSING LOADS MORE THAN THAT.
Messy says, OH, THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN.
HE MUST ENJOY TURNING ALL
THOSE BRIGHT COLOURS.
I KNOW I WOULD.
A gust of wind blows the paper taker’s nest off its branch.
[Wind gusting]
[Zoe gasping]
Felix says, OH, NO!
THE PAPER-TAKER'S HOME!
Messy runs after his sandwich wrapper. Felix and Zoe catch falling paper leaves.
[Messy panting]
Zoe says, THAT'S WHY THE
PAPER-LEAF TREE IS BARE!
EVERY TIME THE WIND BLOWS, THE
PAPER-TAKER NEEDS MORE PAPER!
A piece of paper and the sandwich wrapper cover Messy’s eyes.
Messy says, HEY, WHO TURNED OUT THE
LIGHTS?!
Felix takes the sandwich wrapper off Messy.
Messy says, AND WHY CAN I TASTE MARMALADE?
He takes off the other paper. In the tree, the paper taker, a small brown and green creature, looks sad.
Messy says, OH, HE'S GOT NOWHERE TO LIVE.
OH! LET'S HELP HIM MAKE A NEW
NEST!
He climbs up to the paper taker’s tree branch and offers him a paper leaf.
Zoe says, NO, MESSY.
IT'LL JUST BLOW AWAY AGAIN.
Felix says, AND THEN THE PAPER-TAKER WILL
TAKE MORE PAPER FROM THE
PAPER-LEAF TREE.
Messy says, BUT THERE IS NO MORE PAPER
FOR HIM TO TAKE!
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
Felix says, HMM...
WE NEED TO BUILD A NEST THAT
WON'T BLOW AWAY!
THEN THE PAPER-TAKER WON'T NEED
TO KEEP TAKING SO MUCH PAPER.
Zoe runs up to a hole in the tree.
She says, HEY, HOW ABOUT IN HERE?
THIS SHOULD BE OUT OF THE WIND.
Felix looks in the tree.
He says, PERFECT.
He drops some paper leaves inside. Messy swings down the tree with his tail and the paper taker on his arm. He hands Zoe more paper leaves. Zoe adds the paper to a nest inside the tree.
She says, COME ON.
THIS ONE WON'T BLOW AWAY.
The paper taker hops off Messy and into the tree. He camouflages himself with the colourful leaves.
Messy gasps, OH, HE'S DISAPPEARED AGAIN!
[Felix chuckling]
Felix quietly says, I THINK HE LIKES IT.
Zoe says, I THINK WE'VE SOLVED THE
PAPER-TAKING PROBLEM.
LET'S GO TELL ZIM, ZAM, AND
ZOOM.
As she leaves with Messy and Felix, the paper taker waves.
Later, Zoe says, SO, NOW THE PAPER-TAKER'S NEST
WON'T BLOW AWAY!
THE PAPER-LEAF TREE SHOULD BE
SAFE.
Zim says, FANTASTIC!
Zoe says, WE JUST NEED A LITTLE MORE
PAPER TO FINISH OUR MONSTER
MODEL.
Messy says, OH, I'LL GET IT!
He turns to the paper tree and reaches for a pink paper leaf that is Zoom.
[Zoom beeping]
Messy yelps, WAH!
He jumps back from the tree. Zoom returns to his normal shape.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy says, CAMOUFLAGE CAN BE SCARY!
Zim says, WE SHOULD ALL LET THE
PAPER-LEAF TREE RECOVER A WHILE
LONGER.
Zoe says, SO WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT TO
FINISH OUR MODEL.
[Felix clearing his throat]
Felix says, NO, WE WON'T.
WE STILL HAVE ALL THE PAPER
WE GATHERED ON OUR PAPER-TAKER
HUNT.
Zoe says, FANTASTIC!
COME ON, LET'S GO!
Back at the house, Felix, and Zoe work on their paper monster.
Zoe says, THAT ONE GOES THERE.
Felix says, AND THAT ONE GOES THERE.
He covers the last blank spot on the monster.
Zoe says, PERFECT.
Messy says, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME A
MODEL MONSTER!
I LOVE IT!
BUT I HAVE TO GO NOW.
I HAVE A MISSING SOCK TO FIND.
BYE-BYE!
He waves to Felix and Zoe.
Zoe says, BYE, MESSY!
Felix says, SEE YOU LATER, MESSY!
Messy returns to the yard with the clothesline.
He says, I KNOW IT'S HERE SOMEWHERE.
He looks behind him and says, A-HA!
NOW I KNOW WHY I COULDN'T
FIND MY SOCK!
IT'S GREEN, AND THE GRASS IS
GREEN, TOO!
THE SOCK WAS CAMOUFLAGED!
BYE-BYE!

Messy says, LET'S SKI-DOODLE, OKIDOODLE!
[Cheerful music plays]
Messy drives to the park.
[Tires screeching]
The three friends run through the park.
Felix says, WE’RE NEARLY THERE.
Messy skids to a stop.
Gasping, Felix says, OH, NO!
Zoe says, LOOK AT THE PAPER-LEAF TREE!
The friends look at a leafless tree.
Messy asks, WHERE IS IT?
IS IT BEHIND THAT TREE WITH NO
LEAVES ON?
Felix says, NO, THAT IS THE PAPER-LEAF
TREE!
BUT IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING'S
WRONG.
Zoe says, I THINK IT'S RUN OUT OF
PAPER.
Felix says, OR SOMEONE HAS TAKEN ALL OF
IT.
Messy says, NOT ALL OF IT!
THERE'S ONE LEAF LEFT!
He climbs up the tree branches to a single red paper leaf.
[Messy grunting]
Zoom flies up beside Messy.
[Zoom beeping]
[Messy yelping]
Messy jumps back. He clings to the tree branch.
He says, OH, HI, ZOOM.
DON'T YOU WANT ME TO PICK IT?
[Zoom beeping]
Zoom frowns and shakes their head. Zam and Zim hurry down the trail toward the tree
[Panting]
Zam says, OH, THAT'S THE LAST LEAF
LEFT, MESSY.
[Zam panting]
Zam says, YOU SHOULD, UH, "LEAF" IT ALONE.
Zim’s screen flickers. He hurries to the tree with a watering can.
[Zim panting]
Messy says, HI, ZAM!
HI, ZIM!
Zim says, HELLO!
Zam says, HELLO!
Messy hops down from the tree.
Felix asks, WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE TREE,
ZAM?
Zam says, SOMEONE OR SOMETHING HAS
BEEN TAKING FAR TOO MANY PAPER
LEAVES.
Felix says, OH, BUT WE NEED COLOURED
TISSUE PAPER TO FINISH OUR MODEL
MONSTER.
Zam says, LOTS OF PEOPLE NEED PAPER,
FELIX.
IT'S CAUSING CHAOS ALL OVER
OKIDO.
Zoe says, THIS IS BAD!
WE NEED TO FIND OUT WHO OR WHAT
IS DOING THIS.
Zam says, WELL, ZIM, ZOOM AND I NEED
TO NURSE THIS POOR TREE BACK TO
FULL BLOOM.
Zoom nods.
Zoe says, I KNOW!
WHY DON'T WE TRACK DOWN THE
PAPER-TAKER, WHILE YOU TAKE
CARE OF THE TREE?
Zam says, WELL, THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL.
Messy says, WELL, HELPFUL IS MY MIDDLE
NAME!
WHAT DOES THE PAPER-TAKER
LOOK LIKE?
Zim says, OOH, NOBODY KNOWS.
THE FEW PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN
IT CAN'T EVEN AGREE WHAT COLOUR
IT IS.
[Spooky music plays]
Messy says, BUT HOW CAN WE FIND SOMETHING
IF WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS
LIKE?
Felix says, OH, HOW ABOUT BY FOLLOWING
THE THINGS IT DROPS?
He points to a piece of orange paper on the grass.
Zam says, WELL SPOTTED, FELIX.
Felix says, IT WAS EASY.
IT'S ORANGE AGAINST A GREEN
BACKGROUND.
He picks up the orange paper.
He adds, IT REALLY STANDS OUT!
Messy runs onto a stone trail and points at another piece of paper.
He says, AND LOOK!
THERE'S MORE!
He picks up a piece of blue paper.
He says, OKAY, LET'S OKI-GO!
[Felix laughing]
Messy and Felix run down the trail. Elsewhere in the park, Messy collects other pieces of colourful paper leaves. The paper leaves cover bushes and leaves.
[Messy giggling]
[Felix groaning]
Felix groans, OH, WE'VE BEEN AROUND THE
PARK TWICE AND THE TRAIL JUST
KEEPS GOING!
Zoe looks tired as she joins Felix and Messy.
She says, SO WE HAVE TO KEEP GOING,
TOO.
Messy says, I LIKE THIS
PAPER-TAKER!
THEY MAKE ALMOST AS MUCH MESS
AS I DO!
He smells a flower. A red butterfly flies out of a red flower. The butterfly looks like the flower.
Messy yelps, WAH!
He stumbles backward, trips and falls.
Messy wails, AAH!
He knocks into Felix and they both fall down.
[Felix grunting]
Messy says, THAT FLOWER FLEW AWAY.
Felix looks at a brown insect on a tree stump. The insect looks like a stick.
He says, AND THIS TWIG'S GOT LEGS.
WHAT'S GOING ON?
Zoe speaks to her watch.
She says, ZIM, COME IN, ZIM.
Zim appears on the watch in a video call.
He says, ZOE!
Zoe says, ALL THE PLANTS HAVE STARTED
MOVING ABOUT!
A green insect stands on a tree stump. The insect looks like a leaf.
Zoe asks, HAVE WE WANDERED INTO A MAGIC
FOREST?
Zim says, AH, YES, I CAN ANSWER THIS.
THOSE AREN'T PLANTS.
THEY'RE ANIMALS THAT LOOK LIKE
PLANTS.
THEY'RE USING CAMOUFLAGE.
Messy says, CAMO... WHAT?
Zim explains, CAMOUFLAGE.
SOMETIMES, SHY LITTLE CREATURES
THAT DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN BY
BIGGER CREATURES DISGUISE
THEMSELVES AS PLANTS AND TWIGS.
SO YOUR TWIG WITH LEGS IS A
CAMOUFLAGED INSECT CALLED A
STICK INSECT.
On an owl’s tree, a stick insect hides on a branch. A bear cub falls down the tree.
Messy says, AND THIS FLYING FLOWER ISN'T
A FLOWER!
IT'S A BUTTERFLY!
The red butterfly flies away from Messy.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe says, SO CREATURES USE CAMOUFLAGE
IF THEY DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN.
Zim says, YES, THAT'S RIGHT!
SOME CREATURES EVEN CHANGE
COLOUR, SO THEY CAN HIDE BETTER,
LIKE THE SMITH'S DWARF
CHAMELEON.
A chameleon changes their colours as they crawl across a tree branch.
Messy says, I WISH I HAD CAMOUFLAGE.
IT WOULD BE LIKE BEING
INVISIBLE!
He holds to large leaves in front of him.
Felix says, WOW!
Zoe says, THANKS, ZIM.
She ends the video call.
Felix says, MAYBE THAT'S WHY WE CAN'T
CATCH THE PAPER-TAKER.
Zoe says, BECAUSE IT'S CAMOUFLAGED!
Messy says, SO HOW WILL WE FIND IT?
Zoe says, WE'LL HAVE TO GET THE
PAPER-TAKER TO COME OUT TO WHERE
WE CAN SEE IT.
Messy says, BUT HOW DO WE DO THAT?
[Felix chuckling]
Felix says, WITH PAPER, OF COURSE!
He leaves a pile of paper on the ground, then hides behind a bush with Messy and Zoe.
Messy asks, NOW WHAT?
Zoe says, NOW, WE WAIT.
She and Felix watch the pile of paper.
[Stomach rumbling]
Messy holds his stomach.
He whispers, SORRY.
[Zoe giggling quietly]
Messy whispers, I ONLY HAD ONE SOCK AT SNACK
TIME!
[Felix chuckling quietly]
Messy whispers, I'M STILL HUNGRY.
Felix whispers, LUCKILY, I BOUGHT SANDWICHES.
[Zoe laughing]
Zoe says, OF COURSE YOU DID.
[Messy’s stomach rumbling]
Felix gives Messy a wrapped sock sandwich.
[Messy rumbling]
Messy whispers, OLD SOCKS, AND MARMALADE.
YUMMY!
He bites into his sandwich.
[Munching]
Messy says, MMM!
He sits down and sets his sandwich on the ground. Felix and Zoe sit with their own sandwiches. Messy’s sandwich moves across the grass.
Felix whispers, HUH?
SOMETHING'S TAKING YOUR
SANDWICH!
[Felix gasping]
Felix says, AND YOUR PAPER SANDWICH WRAPPER!
Messy loudly says, HEY, I HAVEN'T FINISHED THAT!
COME BACK, THAT'S MY SANDWICH!
His sandwich is left on the ground while the paper wrapper is taken away.
Zoe whispers, IT'S THE PAPER-TAKER!
The paper taker is camouflaged with the green grass and green sandwich wrapper with purple polka dots.
Messy says, BUT WHERE IS IT?
The paper taker takes the wrapper to a spot of dirt and becomes brown.
Zoe whispers, IT'S THERE, LOOK.
She points to the paper taker.
She says, IT'S THE SAME BROWN COLOUR AS
THE GROUND, AND THAT MAKES IT
HARD TO SEE.
Messy kneels in front of the paper taker.
He says, IT'S NOT ALL BROWN.
THAT BIT IS GREEN WITH PURPLE
SPOTS!
Half of the paper taker matches Messy’s sandwich wrapper.
Felix whispers, THE SAME AS YOUR WRAPPER.
Messy yells, HELLO!
The paper taker runs away with the sandwich wrapper.
Felix says, OH, NO, MESSY!
YOU'VE SCARED HIM!
Zoe says, QUICK, BEFORE WE LOSE IT
AGAIN!
She, Felix, and Messy run down the stone path after the paper taper.
Messy says, WHERE IS IT?
Felix says, THERE!
He points to a paper nest on a tree branch.
Messy says, OH, PRETTY.
Felix says, SO THAT'S WHERE ALL THE PAPER
WENT.
THE PAPER-TAKER WAS MAKING A
NEST TO LIVE IN.
Zoe says, BUT THE PAPER-LEAF TREE IS
MISSING LOADS MORE THAN THAT.
Messy says, OH, THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN.
HE MUST ENJOY TURNING ALL
THOSE BRIGHT COLOURS.
I KNOW I WOULD.
A gust of wind blows the paper taker’s nest off its branch.
[Wind gusting]
[Zoe gasping]
Felix says, OH, NO!
THE PAPER-TAKER'S HOME!
Messy runs after his sandwich wrapper. Felix and Zoe catch falling paper leaves.
[Messy panting]
Zoe says, THAT'S WHY THE
PAPER-LEAF TREE IS BARE!
EVERY TIME THE WIND BLOWS, THE
PAPER-TAKER NEEDS MORE PAPER!
A piece of paper and the sandwich wrapper cover Messy’s eyes.
Messy says, HEY, WHO TURNED OUT THE
LIGHTS?!
Felix takes the sandwich wrapper off Messy.
Messy says, AND WHY CAN I TASTE MARMALADE?
He takes off the other paper. In the tree, the paper taker, a small brown and green creature, looks sad.
Messy says, OH, HE'S GOT NOWHERE TO LIVE.
OH! LET'S HELP HIM MAKE A NEW
NEST!
He climbs up to the paper taker’s tree branch and offers him a paper leaf.
Zoe says, NO, MESSY.
IT'LL JUST BLOW AWAY AGAIN.
Felix says, AND THEN THE PAPER-TAKER WILL
TAKE MORE PAPER FROM THE
PAPER-LEAF TREE.
Messy says, BUT THERE IS NO MORE PAPER
FOR HIM TO TAKE!
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
Felix says, HMM...
WE NEED TO BUILD A NEST THAT
WON'T BLOW AWAY!
THEN THE PAPER-TAKER WON'T NEED
TO KEEP TAKING SO MUCH PAPER.
Zoe runs up to a hole in the tree.
She says, HEY, HOW ABOUT IN HERE?
THIS SHOULD BE OUT OF THE WIND.
Felix looks in the tree.
He says, PERFECT.
He drops some paper leaves inside. Messy swings down the tree with his tail and the paper taker on his arm. He hands Zoe more paper leaves. Zoe adds the paper to a nest inside the tree.
She says, COME ON.
THIS ONE WON'T BLOW AWAY.
The paper taker hops off Messy and into the tree. He camouflages himself with the colourful leaves.
Messy gasps, OH, HE'S DISAPPEARED AGAIN!
[Felix chuckling]
Felix quietly says, I THINK HE LIKES IT.
Zoe says, I THINK WE'VE SOLVED THE
PAPER-TAKING PROBLEM.
LET'S GO TELL ZIM, ZAM, AND
ZOOM.
As she leaves with Messy and Felix, the paper taker waves.
Later, Zoe says, SO, NOW THE PAPER-TAKER'S NEST
WON'T BLOW AWAY!
THE PAPER-LEAF TREE SHOULD BE
SAFE.
Zim says, FANTASTIC!
Zoe says, WE JUST NEED A LITTLE MORE
PAPER TO FINISH OUR MONSTER
MODEL.
Messy says, OH, I'LL GET IT!
He turns to the paper tree and reaches for a pink paper leaf that is Zoom.
[Zoom beeping]
Messy yelps, WAH!
He jumps back from the tree. Zoom returns to his normal shape.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy says, CAMOUFLAGE CAN BE SCARY!
Zim says, WE SHOULD ALL LET THE
PAPER-LEAF TREE RECOVER A WHILE
LONGER.
Zoe says, SO WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT TO
FINISH OUR MODEL.
[Felix clearing his throat]
Felix says, NO, WE WON'T.
WE STILL HAVE ALL THE PAPER
WE GATHERED ON OUR PAPER-TAKER
HUNT.
Zoe says, FANTASTIC!
COME ON, LET'S GO!
Back at the house, Felix, and Zoe work on their paper monster.
Zoe says, THAT ONE GOES THERE.
Felix says, AND THAT ONE GOES THERE.
He covers the last blank spot on the monster.
Zoe says, PERFECT.
Messy says, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME A
MODEL MONSTER!
I LOVE IT!
BUT I HAVE TO GO NOW.
I HAVE A MISSING SOCK TO FIND.
BYE-BYE!
He waves to Felix and Zoe.
Zoe says, BYE, MESSY!
Felix says, SEE YOU LATER, MESSY!
Messy returns to the yard with the clothesline.
He says, I KNOW IT'S HERE SOMEWHERE.
He looks behind him and says, A-HA!
NOW I KNOW WHY I COULDN'T
FIND MY SOCK!
IT'S GREEN, AND THE GRASS IS
GREEN, TOO!
THE SOCK WAS CAMOUFLAGED!
BYE-BYE!
Messy waves.
