Frizzy, a koala with blue fur, balances sunglasses on her head. Gemma, a platypus, wears goggles strapped over her head. Neville, a wombat, wears a bucket hat. Pounce, a kangaroo, hops over his friends and down a slide. All the friends wear a red and blue uniform.

The singer and others sing, CADETS IN THE CLUB,
SO COME ON, LET'S BOUNCE.

Gemma, Frizzy and Neville follow Pounce down the slide.

The singer sings, GOOD FRIENDS SURFIN'
SWIMMIN', LEARNIN’

Pounce surfs down the slide. Gemma slides down on her stomach. Fizzy follows with her paws in the air. Neville spins down the slide.

He screams, AAH!

Outside, on the Kangaroo Beach dock, he blows a whistle and points to the water.

[Whistle blaring]

The singer sings, BONDI, SANDY,
BIG TREV TOO.

Kangaroos Bondi and Sandy speed across the water on a boat with Pounce. Underwater, Frizzy travels in a submarine with Big Trev, a bearded koala with green fur.

The singer sings, TRAININ' WITH THE VERY BEST
LIFEGUARD CREW.
STAYIN' SAFE, BEING BRAVE,
RIDE A WAVE, MAKE A SAVE.

Gemma rides in a helicopter. The lifeguards and junior cadets return to the beach. The cadets surf a big wave.

The singer sings, WE'RE HERE ALL SUMMER,
IT JUST GETS FUNNER.

A large wave crashes into the lifeguards and cadets on the beach.

The singer sings, …KANGAROO BEACH!

Frizzy reads, SUPER ROO!

Text reads, written by Tim Bain. A wave rolls over the sand, revealing Bondi and Sandy in the Kangaroo Beach lifeguard headquarters with the junior cadets on a bench in front of them.

Sandy says, OKAY, IN TODAY'S TRAINING, WE
ASK THE BIG QUESTION.

Bondi says, LIFEGUARDS, WHAT EVEN ARE
WE?

Gemma guesses, WINNERS OF TROPHIES?

Neville says, KANGAROOS IN SWIMSUITS.

Frizzy says, SEA COPS!

Pounce says, NO WAY, YOU'RE HEROES!

Bondi says, HUH, WELL –

Sandy cuts him off and says, BA-POW

She points her thumb down.

She says, WRONG ANSWER.

[Bondi chuckling]

Bondi says, ALRIGHT, YEAH, LIFEGUARDS
ARE TRAINED TO LOOK OUT FOR
DANGERS IN THE WATER.
ALWAYS READY FOR A RESCUE, BUT
NOT HEROES.

Pounce says, RIGHT, YOU'RE SUPERHEROES!

Through two way radios, Big Trev says, BONDI, SANDI,
SWIMMER IN DISTRESS!

Bondi says, FREE TIME, CADETS.
LET'S BOUNCE.

He leaves with Sandy.

Pounce says, WHOA, TOTAL SUPERHEROES.

Later, on the beach, he says, INTRODUCING SUPER ROO!

Pounce jumps out of a changing hut wearing goggles, a towel as a cape, and springs strapped to his feet.

Gemma says, UM, WHAT ARE YOU DOING,
POUNCE?

Pounce says, NOT POUNCE, LEGENDARY LIFE
GUARD WITH A SECRET SUPERPOWER.
THE JUMBO JUMP!
I HOP SO HIGH I CAN LEAP
SLEEPING PANDAS IN A SINGLE
BOUNCE.

He leaps over Lin, asleep on the beach, with his spring shoes.

He yelps, WOAH!

He crashes onto the sand.

[Pounce grunting]

Pounce says, I'M OKAY.

Wanda steps out of a changing hut with paint and paint brushes.

Frizzy asks, WHAT'RE YOU DOING, WANDA?

Wanda says, HIYA, POSSUM.
MY LATEST ARTWORK.
KANGAROO BEACH'S BIG THING.

Frizzy asks, WHAT'S A BIG THING?

Wanda says, OH, YOU KNOW, LIKE ALL THE
BIG THINGS AROUND THE COUNTRY.

Behind her, Pounce bounces across the beach.

By Ferdinand’s food truck, Roadie licks his ice cream cone. The scoop of ice cream on top falls off.

Roadie groans, AW.

Pounce, as Super Roo, bounces over.

He says, FEAR NOT, SMALL QUOKKA!
YOUR
ICE CREAM IS SAVED!

Super Roo puts the fallen scoop of ice cream back on the cone.

Roadie says, OH, THANKS.
YEAH, THANKS A LOT.

Super Roo says, YOU'RE WELCOME!

[Giggling]

Super Roo says, HARK, CHILDREN IN DANGER!
SUPER ROO TO THE RESCUE!

Bouncing across the beach, he trips on a sandcastle bucket.

He wails, WHOA!

Super Roo lands in front of Bondi.

[Super Roo grunting]

Bondi says, POUNCE?

He helps Super Roo up.

[Super Roo sighing]

Bondi says, IT'S ALRIGHT.
WHAT'S WITH THE FANCY FOOTWEAR?

Super Roo says, MY SUPERHERO SUPERPOWER!

He bounces on his spring shoes.

[Bondi chuckling]

Bondi says, TRUST ME, LIFEGUARDS DON'T
NEED SUPERPOWERS.

He hops away from Pounce.

Super Roo says, RIGHT.
WE NEED… A SIDEKICK!

Outside the changing huts, Frizzy stands beside Wanda.

[Drumroll]

Frizzy announces, LADIES AND JELLYFISH, IT'S
BIG, IT'S BEACHY, IT'S THE BIG
FLY SWAT!

Beachgoers stand around a giant fly swatter.

[Fly buzzing]

Roadie swats at a fly.

He says, AW, BUZZ OFF.

He knocks over a pole holding Wanda’s Big Fly Swat up.

Frizzy says, UH-OH.

The Big Fly Swat falls on top of Roadie, knocking the top scoop of his ice cream off the cone.

[Roadie grunting]

[Beachgoers gasping]

Roadie groans, OH, COME ON!

Frizzy says, HM, WE NEED TO THINK BIGGER!

Gemma runs up behind her with her goggles on and wearing a towel as a cape.

She says, INTRODUCING PLATY GIRL!

Super Roo bounces up beside her as Frizzy leaves with Wanda.

He says, AND SUPER ROO!
HIYA!

He and Gemma, as Platy Girl, pose like superheroes.

Platy Girl, says, HIYA!

Super Roo says, UH, WE SHOULD PROBABLY LOOK
FOR DANGER.

Platy Girl says, GOOD IDEA.
HM.

She and Super Roo look around the beach.

[Platy Girl gasping]

Platy Girl says, BABY BIRDIE STUCK UP A TREE!

[Tweeting]

Young Sammy stands on a branch in a nearby tree.

Super Roo says, THAT POOR, INNOCENT CREATURE!
LET'S GO!

Platy Girl says, HIYA!

She and Super Roo race across the beach.

[Panting]

The two superheroes leap over Roadie’s fallen ice cream.

Roadie says, UH, CAN SOMEONE HELP?

Super Roo bounces back to Roadie and sticks his ice cream back on the cone, leaving him under The Big Swat.

Super Roo says, HAH!

Roadie groans, AAH!

Platy girl and Super Roo race across the beach.

Platy Girl says, HERE COMES SUPER POWERFUL
PLATY GIRL AND HER SLIGHTLY
SLOWER SIDEKICK SUPER ROO!

Super Roo says, HEY, YOU'RE THE SIDEKICK!

Platy Girl says, I NEVER AGREED TO THAT.

The superheroes reach Sammy’s tree.

Super Roo says, BUT I'M OBVIOUSLY THE
SUPERHERO.

He bounces toward Sammy’s branch. .

Platy Girl says, PLEASE, I'M THE SUPER ONE.

She tries to climb the tree and slides down.

She wails, WHOA!

Super Roo bounces onto a low branch.

[Super Roo grunting]

Super Roo says, THIS RESCUE IS MINE!

He bounces onto another branch. Platy Girl climbs the tree.

[Platy Girl grunting]

Platy Girl yells, MINE!

Super Roo argues, MINE!

He bounces onto Sammy’s branch.

Sammy says, BYE-BYE!

He flies away.

[Sammy giggling]

Platy Girl climbs up beside Super Roo.

[Platy Girl sighing]

Platy Girl says, OH, BIRDS CAN FLY.

The superheroes look down at the ground.

Super Roo says, BUT WE CAN'T.

The superheroes yell, HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP!

Outside the changing huts, Frizzy looks thoughtful.

She says, HM, A BIG PEBBLE.
BIG BOTTLE OF SUNSCREEN.

She looks at different drawings on the huts.

She says, A BIG –

She bumps into Reef, who balances a beach ball on her nose.

Frizzy grunts, OOF!

The ball falls off Reef’s nose.

Reef says, HM?

Frizzy says, I'VE GOT IT!
A BIG WALRUS!

Reef says, YEAH, NAH, I'M A SEAL.

Frizzy says, DETAILS, DETAILS.

Wanda joins her.

Frizzy says, WANDA, WE'LL MAKE A BIG WALRUS.

Reef yells, SEAL!

At the bottom of the tree where the superheroes are stuck, Sandy hops over and looks up at them.

[Sandy laughing]

Sandy says, A JOEY AND A PLATYPUS SITTING
IN A TREE.

Bondi joins her.

He asks, WHAT ARE YOU TWO UP TO?

Super Roo, as Pounce, says, PLAYING SUPERHERO WITH MY
SIDEKICK.

Platy Girl, as Gemma, says, YOU'RE THE SIDEKICK!

[Bondi chuckling]

Bondi says, RIGHT-O, SANDI.

Working together, Bondi and Sandy pull Pounce and Gemma down from the tree.

[Bondi grunting]

Bondi says, TAKE IT FROM ME, US LIFE
GUARDS WORK AS A TEAM.
GOT IT?

Pounce says, RIGHT, A TEAM, AND WHAT DOES
A SUPER TEAM NEED?

Gemma says, A SUPER VILLAIN TO BATTLE
AGAINST!

Bondi says, THAT'S NOT WHAT I…

Gemma asks, WHAT'S A LIFEGUARD’S NUMBER
ONE ENEMY?

Pounce says, THE OCEAN!
COME ON, LET'S FIND US A BADDIE.

He and Gemma run away.

[Pounce and Gemma giggling]

Sandy says, SUPER JOB, BONDI.

Elsewhere on the beach, Neville wears a crown made of seashells with a towel as a cape. He holds a staff.

He says, IT IS I, THE SUPER EVIL WAVE
WARRIOR, CRASHING IN TO SOAK YOU
TO YOUR SOCKS!

[Neville, as Wave Warrior, laughing evilly]

By the rock pools, Pounce and Gemma, as Super Roo and Platy Girl, face Wave Warrior.

Super Roo says, YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS,
WAVE WARRIOR.

Wave Warrior says, FEAR MY WET AND WATERY WRATH.
I'M GOING TO SUPER SPLASH YOU!

He stands on a boulder, surrounded by water.

Wave Warrior, as Neville, says, UH, I'M NOT REALLY GOING TO
SPLASH YOU.
I'M JUST ACTING.

Platy Girl, as Gemma, says, WE KNOW, NEVILLE.
GOOD JOB, KEEP GOING.

Neville, as Wave Warrior, says, WELL, HERE I COME TO –

A tall wave crashes behind him, knocking him off the boulder.

He yells, WHOA!

[Super Roo, as Pounce, chuckling]

Pounce, says, WHOOPS.
SWIM BACK AND TRY AGAIN, NEV.
NEVILLE?

[Neville grunting]

Neville struggles to stay above water.

[Neville grunting]

[Platy Girl, as Gemma, and Pounce gasping]

Gemma asks, IS HE OKAY?

Pounce says, I'M NOT SURE.

[Neville coughing]

Pounce says, HE'S NOT CALLING FOR HELP.

Sandy and Bondi arrive on the rescue golf cart.

Bondi hops out and says, IT'S ALRIGHT, NEVILLE.
WE SEE YOU.

[Neville coughing]

[Splashing]

Bondi swims over to Neville.

He says, OKAY, YOU'RE SAFE NOW.

He lifts Neville above water and swims back to shore.

[Neville coughing]

Sandy says, HE'S OKAY.

[Cadets sighing]

Gemma and Pounce hug Neville.

Sandy says, HEY, WHAT HAPPENED, NEV?

Neville says, IT WAS DEEPER THAN I THOUGHT
AND MY TOWEL GOT REALLY HEAVY.

Gemma says, WE'RE SO SORRY.
WE DIDN'T REALIZE YOU WERE IN
TROUBLE.

Pounce asks, WHY DIDN'T YOU WAVE AND CALL
FOR HELP?

Neville says, I THINK I SWALLOWED SOME
WATER, AND THEN MAYBE I
PANICKED?

Bondi says, A PANICKING SWIMMER CAN
FORGET TO CALL OUT OR THEIR ARMS
CAN GET TOO TIRED TO WAVE.

Sandy says, SO, US LIFEGUARDS ARE ALWAYS
ON THE LOOKOUT FOR LITTLE SIGNS
LIKE A SWIMMER'S FACE DROPPING
BELOW THE WATER.

Bondi says, OR PADDLING THEIR ARMS AS IF
THEY'RE CLIMBING A LADDER.

Sandy says, NOW, WHAT'S GOT TWO
LOLLIPOPS AND IS SPENDING THE
AFTERNOON IN THE MEDIC BAY?

She offers Neville two lollipops.

She says, THIS GUY!

Neville takes the lollipops.

He says, NICE ONE!

He sticks both lollipops in his mouth and leaves with Sandy in the golf cart.

Bondi says to Pounce and Gemma, LIFEGUARDS DON'T NEED SUPER
POWERS OR A SIDEKICK OR A SUPER
VILLAIN.
THEY JUST NEED GOOD TRAINING,
GOT IT?

Pounce says, YEAH.

Gemma says, YEAH, I GUESS.

Bondi hops back toward the lifeguard headquarters.

Pounce says, SOUNDS KIND OF UN-SUPER.

[Pounce sighing]

On the side of the light house, wearing safety harnesses, Wanda and Frizzy paint the lighthouse stones.

Frizzy says, THAT'S IT, REEF!
HOLD THAT POSE!

On the ground, Reef says, DON'T MAKE MY NOSE TOO BIG.

Wanda says, AND VOILA!

A painting of Reef with her nose raised decorates the light house.

Reef says, WOW!
HI, BIG ME!

Frizzy says, HM, I STILL THINK WE NEED TO
GO BIGGER.

Wanda says, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, FRIZZ?

Frizzy asks, WHAT DO SEALS LOVE TO BALANCE
ON THEIR NOSE?

[Whirring]

Later, outside the lighthouse, Frizzy lowers a giant beach ball toward the lighthouse roof with a drone.

Reef says, OOH, A BEACH BALL!

She knocks the drone remote control out of Frizzy’s hands. The remote control breaks.

Frizzy says, OH, NO!

The drone releases the beach ball before it is in place on the light house roof. The ball falls toward Frizzy and Wanda, who run away down the light house trail. The ball bounces down the trail after them.

[Frizzy and Wanda screaming]

[Ball bouncing]

On the beach with Pounce, Gemma spots the giant beach ball through a pair of binoculars.

[Gemma gasping]

[Frizzy and Wanda screaming]

Reef chases after the ball.

She chants, BEACH BALL, BEACH BALL, BEACH
BALL!

Gemma lowers the binoculars.

She says, THIS IS A JOB FOR…

Pounce says, SUPER ROO AND PLATY GIRL!

[Frizzy yelling]

Gemma and Pounce pose like superheroes.

Pounce says, OR MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST TELL THE
LIFEGUARDS?

Gemma says, YEAH, BETTER IDEA.

She grabs her two way radio.

Through the radio, she says, LIFEGUARDS, FRIZZY AND WANDA
ARE IN TROUBLE.

[Frizzy and Wanda screaming]

[Frizzy and Wanda panting]

Frizzy and Wanda continue to run from the giant beach ball. Sandy watches them through binoculars. She talks through her radio.

She says, THANKS, GEMMA, WE'RE ON IT.
BIG TREV, WE'LL NEED THE
CHOPPER.

In the rescue helicopter, Big Trev uses his radio.

He says, ROGER THAT.

Near the end of the trail to the light house, Frizzy and Wanda continue running from the beach ball.

[Frizzy and Wanda screaming]

[Frizzy and Wanda panting]

Behind the ball, Reef says, BEACH BALL!
OOH, A BEACH BALL!

Frizzy and Wanda run down the dock.

[Wanda screaming]

[Frizzy panting]

Frizzy looks back at the beach ball.

She says, OH, NO!
AH!

The beach ball bounces closer as she and Wanda approach the end of the dock.

Frizzy says, OH, MY STARFISH!

Big Trev flies toward the dock. He talks through the speaker system.

He says, DROPPING DOWN IN
FRONT OF YOU, FRIZZY.
HOP ON.

He lowers the helicopter rescue mat toward Frizzy and Wanda. Frizzy and Wanda leap off the dock and onto the mat. The giant beach ball bounces off the dock and into the ocean.

[Splashing]

Frizzy cheers, WOO-HOO!

On the dock, Reef says, OH, COOL.
BEACH BALL, BEACH BALL!

[Reef chuckling]

Reef says, SWEET!

She leaps onto the beach ball.

[Reef grunting]

The beach ball tips with Reef’s wait, knocking her off.

[Reef yelping]

[Splashing]

On the beach, Pounce says, WE DID THE RIGHT THING.

Gemma nods. Pounce looks across the beach.

He says, WAIT, DO YOU SEE THAT?

He points to the water. Gemma looks out at the ocean through her binoculars at a swimmer.

[Coughing]

Gemma says, SHE'S NOT CALLING FOR HELP,
BUT...

Pounce says, BUT I THINK THAT SWIMMER'S IN
TROUBLE!

He takes off his spring shoes, goggles, and cape. Free of their superhero clothes, Gemma and Pounce look determined.

They say, CADETS TO THE RESCUE!

[Alarm blaring]

[Upbeat music plays]

In a montage, the Kangaroo Beach lifeguards prepare for rescue with radios, first aid kits, and rescue boards. The travel in their rescue vehicles, a helicopter, boat, submarine and golf cart. The junior cadets gather, ready for action, and pose.

[Splashing]

In the ocean, a swimmer looks like they are trying to climb out of the water.

[Swimmer panting]

Gemma and Pounce paddle out to the swimmer on rescue boards.

Gemma says, IT'S ALRIGHT, WE'RE COMING!

[Swimmer whimpering]

Gemma reaches the swimmer, a young kangaroo, and pulls them onto her board.

[Gemma grunting]

Gemma says, GOT YOU.

Back on the beach, Sandy and Bondi hop over to Gemma and Pounce as they return to shore with the swimmer. Sandy takes a look at the swimmer.

She asks, ARE YOU OKAY?

The swimmer says, I THINK SO.

Sandy says, LUCKY POUNCE AND GEMMA
SPOTTED YOU SO QUICKLY.

Bondi says, NOT EVERY RESCUE IS ACTION
PACKED AND NOISY, SO WE ALWAYS
LOOK FOR SWIMMERS WHO MIGHT BE
STRUGGLING QUIETLY.
GREAT JOB, YOU TWO.

Frizzy says, AND GREAT JOB US!

She stands nearby with Wanda.

Wanda says, INSPIRED BY OUR BRAVE
RESCUER, WE PRESENT THE BIG
TREV!

A large sculpture of Big Trev is made from sand. Big Trev walks over and looks at the sculpture.

Wanda says, WHAT A HERO!

[Applause]

Gemma says, OH, THAT'S GREAT!

[Cheering]

Bondi says, LISTEN, FOLKS, WE'RE
DEFINITELY NOT HEROES.

Big Trev poses like the sculpture with his hands on his hips and elbows back.

He says, WELL, MAYBE A LITTLE BIT.

[Laughing]
