Marine life navigates the ocean.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, OVER THE OCEAN
AND OVER THE REEF.
THERE'S A SUNNY LITTLE PLACE
CALLED KANGAROO BEACH.

The singer sings, FRIZZY, GEMMA,
NEVILLE AND POUNCE.
Frizzy, a koala with blue fur, balances sunglasses on her head. Gemma, a platypus, wears goggles strapped over her head. Neville, a wombat, wears a bucket hat. Pounce, a kangaroo, hops over his friends and down a slide. All the friends wear a red and blue uniform.
The singer and others sing, CADETS IN THE CLUB,
SO COME ON, LET'S BOUNCE.
Gemma, Frizzy and Neville follow Pounce down the slide.
The singer sings, GOOD FRIENDS SURFIN'
SWIMMIN', LEARNIN’
Pounce surfs down the slide. Gemma slides down on her stomach. Fizzy follows with her paws in the air. Neville spins down the slide.
He screams, AAH!
Outside, on the Kangaroo Beach dock, he blows a whistle and points to the water.
[Whistle blaring]
The singer sings, BONDI, SANDY,
BIG TREV TOO.
Kangaroos Bondi and Sandy speed across the water on a boat with Pounce. Underwater, Frizzy travels in a submarine with Big Trev, a bearded koala with green fur.
The singer sings, TRAININ' WITH THE VERY BEST
LIFEGUARD CREW.
STAYIN' SAFE, BEING BRAVE,
RIDE A WAVE, MAKE A SAVE.
Gemma rides in a helicopter. The lifeguards and junior cadets return to the beach. The cadets surf a big wave.
The singer sings, WE'RE HERE ALL SUMMER,
IT JUST GETS FUNNER.
LET'S HOP DOWN TO...
A large wave crashes into the lifeguards and cadets on the beach.
The singer sings, …KANGAROO BEACH!
Title, Kangaroo Beach. A splash of water reveals the episode title on the beach.
Frizzy reads, GIRL WHO CRIED JELLYFISH.
Text reads, written by Tim Bain. A wave rolls over the sand, revealing a changing hut on Kangaroo Beach. Wanda steps out with paintbrushes.
She says, READY, POSSUMS?
IT'S TIME FOR MY FESTIVE, FUN,
AND OH-SO-FABULOUS ARTY PARTY ON
BOOMERANG ISLAND!
She jumps onto the sand where she greets Philippa and the junior cadets.
Frizzy cheers, YAY!
Neville says, COOL.
[Neville giggling]
Wands grabs cans of paintbrushes.
She says, MUSIC.
Gemma asks, SPORTS?
Wanda says, PAINTING.
Pounce asks, RESCUES?
Wanda says, ART, LOTS AND LOTS OF ART!
Philippa cheers, YAY!
Gemma says, HMM, DOESN'T REALLY SEEM LIKE
MY KIND OF THING.
Frizzy says, WELL, IT'S TOTALLY MY THING!
IT'S MY THING-IEST THING OF ALL
THINGY THINGS!
She carries a stereo to Wanda’s small boat. Neville follows with a stack of blank canvases.
[Philippa giggling]
Wearing a lifejacket, Philippa hops into Wanda’s boat. Frizzy and Neville load the stereo and canvases into the boat.
[Neville grunting]
Frizzy says, THIS WAY TO THE ARTY PARTY!
Nearby, Big Trev says, THIS WAY TO THE
WATCHTOWER.
[Frizzy gasping]
Frizzy says, WHAT?
Neville takes binoculars and a two-way radio from Big Trev.
He says, REMEMBER, FRIZZY?
WE'RE ON LIFEGUARD DUTY
TOGETHER.
FUN!
Frizzy says, BUT…BUT…
Big Trev says, NO BUTS.
Frizzy sighs, AW.
GO HAVE FUN WITHOUT ME.
Pounce says, WE'LL TRY.
Flatly, Gemma says, YAY, ART.
She follows Pounce to Wanda’s boat.
Philippa says, ARTY!
She shakes paint covered paintbrushes, spraying Pounce and Gemma with paint.
Pounce grunts, UGH!
Gemma groans, EW!
Philippa says, OH.
Later, above Kangaroo Beach, Frizzy uses binoculars.
She groans, UGH, BORING OLD
BEACH.
From the watchtower, she scans the beach. She uses her radio.
She says, SPOTTED ANYTHING EXCITING,
NEVILLE?
From a lookout on the beach, Neville scans the water with his binoculars. He uses his radio.
He says, UH... NO.
JUST A LUMP OF SEAWEED.
In the watchtower, a seagull stands on the railing.
[Seagull squawking]
Frizzy says, OOH, AN AUDIENCE!
She dances in a circle.
[Frizzy singing]
The seagull snatches Frizzy’s sandwich, knocking over her water and radio, then flies away.
[Seagull squawking]
Frizzy says, HEY, BEAKY!
[Radio buzzing]
Frizzy says, OOPS!
[Radio buzzing]
Frizzy grabs her radio. Water drips off.
She says through the radio, NEVILLE, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Frizzy presses a button on the radio.
[Radio static buzzing]
On the beach, Neville uses his radio.
He says, UM, A LITTLE BIT.
From the watchtower, Frizzy says, PHEW!
She puts down her radio. She looks across the water at Wanda’s festival on Boomerang Island.
[Frizzy sighing]
Frizzy says, I BET THEY'RE HAVING LOADS OF
FUN AT THE ARTY PARTY.
On Boomerang Island, Pounce, Gemma and Philippa stand behind easels with canvases. They hold paint pallets and brushes. Wanda faces them with her own paint brush.
She says, ALRIGHT, POSSUMS.
SELF-PORTRAITS.
HERE'S MINE.
Wanda turns her canvas, revealing her self-portrait.
She says, AREN'T I GORGEOUS?
Pounce says, UH, YEAH.
Gemma says, OH, COOL!
Wanda puts her canvas back on her easel.
She says, NOW, LET'S SEE OUR
SELF-PORTRAITS.
Pounce shows Wanda a rough painting of himself on the beach.

Philippa reveals her expertly painted self-portrait that looks like the Girl with a Pearl Earring painting.
Philippa says, SELFIE!
Pounce says, WOW, PHILIPPA!
Gemma says, UH...
Pounce says, THAT'S AMAZING.
Wanda says, IT'S VERY MAJESTIC.
Philippa says, PAINT-Y!
Frizzy watches the group through her binoculars.
She says, AW, THAT LOOKS SO
FUN!
Frizzy looks back at the beach. She lowers her binoculars and glances at her radio.
She says, I BET IF THE BEACH WAS CLOSED,
THEN I COULD GO TO THE ARTY
PARTY!
She grabs her radio.
[Frizzy clearing her throat]
Frizzy says to the radio, BONDI!
[Frizzy laughing]
Frizzy continues, THERE'S A BIG OLD SHARK IN THE
WATER!
[Radio feedback]
Imitating Bondi, Frizzy says, AH, THANKS,
FRIZZY.
BEACH CLOSED, FOLKS.
Imitating Big Trev, Frizzy says, WELL DONE,
FRIZZY.
YOU CAN GO TO THE ARTY PARTY.
HERE'S A GOLD MEDALLION AND AN
ICE CREAM.
[Radio feedback]
In her normal voice, Frizzy says, OH, THANK YOU,
GRANDPA.
Frizzy puts down her radio and pretends to lick an ice cream cone.
She says, MMM, YUM.
[Radio feedback]
Through the radio, Neville says, ...SAY YOU SAW A
SHARK?
[Radio feedback]
[Frizzy laughing]
Frizzy says, YEAH, A WHOPPING BIG ONE!
She grabs her radio.
On the beach, Neville says, REALLY?
He drops his radio.
[Frizzy laughing]
On the watchtower, Frizzy says through the radio, NO, I'M JUST KIDDING,
NEVILLE.
I WAS MUCKING AROUND.
THERE'S NO SHARK.
[Radio feedback]
Frizzy says, NEVILLE?
She taps her radio.
She says, I HOPE HE HEARD ME.
In the lookout on the beach, Neville uses a megaphone.
He says, SHARK!
EVERYONE OUT OF THE WATER!
He presses a button that sets off an alarm.
[Alarm wailing]
Beachgoers rush out of the ocean.
[Shouting]
In the ocean, Gherkinn snorkels. He comes up out of the water.
Gherkinn says, OH, MY GOODNESS!
I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SHARK
BISCUIT!
He rushes out of the water.
On the watchtower, Frizzy shouts, NEVILLE, NO!
FALSE ALARM!
I WAS ONLY KIDDING!
In the ocean, Sandy rides a jet ski. She scans the water. She meets Bondi, also on a jet ski, near the beach lookout.
Sandy says, NO SIGN OF A SHARK.
Bondi asks, ARE YOU SURE, NEVILLE?
IT WASN'T JUST SOME LUMPY
SEAWEED?
He and Sandy hop onto the beach.
Neville says, UH... UH...
Sandy says, NEVILLE, IT'S VERY SERIOUS TO
MAKE UP A SHARK SIGHTING.
Frizzy says, IT WAS ME!
She runs over to Neville.
She says, I TOLD NEVILLE ABOUT THE SHARK.
Bondi says, WELL, HOW BIG WAS IT?
Sandy asks, WAS IT NEAR THE BEACH?
Bondi asks, WHAT DID IT LOOK LIKE?
Sandy asks, WHEN DID YOU SEE IT?
Frizzy says, UM, WELL, ABOUT THAT, UH...
Sandy says, SORRY, FRIZZY.
IT MUST HAVE GIVEN YOU QUITE A
SHOCK.
Bondi says, AH, LET'S GO FIND IT.
In the rescue boat, Bondi, Sandy, Neville and Frizzy all wear lifejackets as they cruise through the water. Bondi and Sandy scan the water.
Bondi says, AHA!
He points ahead.
[Singing]
Bondi steers the boat up to Charlene, peacefully swimming through the water.
Bondi says, CHARLENE, LISTEN.
Sandy says, WE'VE ASK YOU NOT TO SWIM
NEAR THE BEACH.
Charlene says, WHAT?
BUT I DIDN'T.
Bondi says, WELL, FRIZZY SAW YOU.
Frizzy lowers her gaze.
Bondi says, SORRY, BUT IT'S PROBABLY BEST IF
YOU STAY DOWN AT BLUE BOTTLE
BAY.
NO SWIMMERS THERE.
Charlene says, BUT I'M INNOCENT!
Sandy says, YOU'LL BE FINE.
OFF YOU GO!
[Charlene sobbing]
Charlene swims away from the boat.
Neville says, POOR CHARLENE.
Later, on the beach, Big Trev sticks a shark sign in the sand while Bondi and Sandy help Neville off the boat. Frizzy walks down the dock ahead of them.
[Big Trev grunting]
Frizzy meets Big Trev on the beach.
He says, GREAT JOB, FRIZZY, YOU LITTLE
SHARK-SPOTTING SUPERSTAR.
YOU DESERVE THIS.
He gives Frizzy a medal.
Behind her, Neville cheers, WHOO-HOO, AWESOME!
Bondi and Sandy catch up with the two junior cadets. Frizzy has a guilty expression.
Bondi cheers, AH, YEAH!
Frizzy says, I REALLY DON'T.
[Big Trev laughing]
[Frizzy sighing]
Big Trev says, EAGLE-EYED AND MODEST.
YOU'VE EARNED A TRIP TO THE ARTY
PARTY.
I'LL GET THE CHOPPER READY.
YOU ARE GOING TO ARRIVE IN
STYLE!
He leaves.
Neville says, WOW.
YOU'RE THE GLUMMEST LOOKING
KOALA WITH A MEDALLION I'VE EVER
SEEN.
WHAT'S WRONG?
Frizzy says, I WAS ONLY PRETENDING.
THE WALKIE-TALKIE WAS BROKEN,
AND THERE WAS NO SHARK.
Neville says, THERE WASN'T?
YOU NEED TO TELL THE LIFEGUARDS.
THINK OF CHARLENE.
[Frizzy sighing]
Frizzy says, YOU'RE RIGHT.
THAT POOR, INNOCENT SHARK.
On the helicopter pad, Frizzy and Big Trev stand in front of the rescue helicopter.
Big Trev says, WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THERE WAS
NO SHARK?
WAIT.
WAS THIS A TRICK TO GO TO THE
ARTY PARTY?
Frizzy says, NO, I PROMISE!
Big Trev says, YOU HAVE SUCH A VIVID
IMAGINATION, FRIZZY.
RIGHT, NEW JOB.
On the lighthouse balcony, Frizzy squeezes water out of a sponge.
[Frizzy sighing]
A seagull lands on the railing behind Frizzy.
[Squawking]
Frizzy says, SORRY, NO SHOW TODAY.
[Squawking]
Frizzy grabs her binoculars. She watches the Arty Party on Boomerang Island, where the group stands on the beach near the water.
At the Arty Party, Wanda says, BEACH ART.
LET'S SEE WHAT FABULOUS THINGS
YOU'VE MADE.
Pounce says, UH, A STICK FIGURE?
Wanda looks at a stick in the sand.
She says, HMM, IT COULD DO WITH A
FEW... ADJUSTMENTS?
AND GEMMA?
Gemma stands beside a stack of rocks.
She says, UH, A STATUE?
The rocks fall.
Gemma groans, AW.
Wanda says, OOPS-Y.
[Philippa giggling]
Philippa adds a seashell to her beach art creation. The others walk over.
Gemma says, WOW.
She and the others admire Philippa’s recreation of The Starry Night painting.
Gemma says, SHE'S AN ARTISTIC GENIUS!
Pounce says, WOW.
Philippa runs around with a plastic bucket on her head.
She says, ARTY!
[Philippa giggling]
On the lighthouse balcony, Frizzy lowers her binoculars.
[Frizzy sighing]
Frizzy looks down at Kangaroo Beach through the binoculars. She looks at the ocean, at a large pink blob in the water.
She says, HUH?
Frizzy takes a second look at the pink blob in the water as it moves closer to the beach.
[Frizzy gasping]
Frizzy says, WHAT IS THAT?
On the beach, Big Trev removes the shark sign.
[Big Trev grunting]
Big Trev says, ALRIGHT, FOLKS.
BEACH OPEN.
Gherkinn cheers, WHOO-HOO!
He dives into the water, followed by Sammy and young wombat Doug.
[Giggling]
Through her radio, Frizzy says, GRANDPA?
THE OCEAN'S TURNING PINK!
Big Trev grabs his radio.
Through it, he says, PINK?
FRIZZY, NOW, YOU'VE TOLD SOME
WHOPPERS, BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE
PRIZE.
Frizzy says, BUT IT'S TRUE!
With her binoculars, she looks at the pink blob in the water moving closer to the beach, and the swimmers in the water.
Frizzy says, OH, MY STARFISH!
Through her radio, she says, GEMMA, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
THE OCEAN'S ALL PINK!
WHAT'S GOING ON?
On Boomerang Island, Gemma grabs her radio.
Through the radio, she says, OH, IT MIGHT BE A BIG BUNCH
OF SNOTTIES.
Frizzy says, UH, BLESS YOU?
[Gemma laughing]
Gemma says, SNOTTIES ARE PINK JELLYFISH.
Frizzy asks, ARE THEY STING-Y?
Gemma says, A LITTLE, BUT SO BEAUTIFUL.
Frizzy says, I HAVE TO WARN THE
LIFEGUARDS!
In the Kangaroo Beach surf club, the lifeguard headquarters, Frizzy meets with Sandy and Bondi by the control panel.
She says, I PROMISE I'M NOT MAKING THIS
UP!
GEMMA SAID THEY'RE CALLED
SNOTTIES.
Sandy says, SNOTTIES?
LET'S TAKE A LOOK.
She pulls up a view of the pink blob in the ocean on the computer and research on the pink jellyfish.
Sandy says, FRIZZY'S RIGHT.
THEY'RE HEADING FOR THE BEACH!
Bondi says, THEN WE'D BETTER GET THOSE
SWIMMERS OUT OF THE WATER.
ROOS AND A KOALA TO THE RESCUE!
Alarm blaring]
[Upbeat music plays]
In a montage, the Kangaroo Beach lifeguards prepare for rescue with radios, first aid kits, and rescue boards. The travel in their rescue vehicles, a helicopter, boat, submarine, and golf cart. The junior cadets gather, ready for action, and pose.
In the ocean, the pink blob that is a group of jellyfish, spread across the water as they move toward the beach. Bondi paddles toward Sid on a rescue board. Sandy paddles up to a wombat in the water.
She says, ALRIGHT-Y, COME ON!
She pulls the wombat onto her rescue board.
[Both grunting]
Bondi helps Sid onto his rescue board.
[Both grunting]
In the shallow water, Sammy and the Doug splash around.
Sammy cheers, YEAH!
WHOO-HOO!
Big Trev grabs Sammy and the Doug and carries them out of the water.
Sammy says, HUH?
[Big Trev grunting]
In the water on the other side of the beach, Gherkinn swims above a swarm of jellyfish.
He yelps, AH, AH, HELP, HELP!
JELLYFISHES, JELLYFISHES!
He franticly tries to swim away.
He wails, SAVE ME!
On the beach, Frizzy lowers her binoculars.
[Frizzy gasping]
Through her radio, Frizzy says, GRANDPA, GHERKINN NEEDS HELP!
I'M GOING TO PADDLE TO HIM!
In the water, Big Trev pulls a swimmer onto his rescue board.
[Big Trev grunting]
Through his radio, Big Trev says, RIGHT-O, FRIZZY.
KEEP HIM CALM UNTIL WE CAN GET
TO YOU.
Frizzy paddles over rolling waves and around the jellyfish on her rescue board. She paddles up to Gherkinn as he swims away from the jellyfish.
[Frizzy panting]
Gherkinn splashes around in the water franticly.
Frizzy says, GRAB ONTO MY BOARD!
YOU'RE OKAY!
Gherkinn climbs onto Frizzy’s rescue board.
He says, OH, OH, DON'T LET THE FISH
JELLIES GET ME!
He nearly falls off the board as his kicks and waves his arms.
He says, OOH, OOH, AH, AH!
[Splashing]
Frizzy says, GHERKINN, YOU NEED TO STAY
CALM.
HEY, HOW ABOUT A JOKE?
WHAT'S THE MOST EXPENSIVE KIND
OF FISH?
Gherkinn asks, WHAT, WHAT?
HUH?
Frizzy says, A GOLDFISH!
Gherkinn calms down.
He says, HUH?
OH, YEAH, BECAUSE THEY ARE
COSTING SO MUCH MONEY!
[Gherkinn laughing]
Frizzy asks, FEELING A BIT CALMER?
Gherkinn says, OH, YEAH, A LITTLE, A LITTLE.
YEAH.
HOW ABOUT, HOW ABOUT A STORY?
He rests his head on the board.
Frizzy says, OKAY.
ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS A
GIRL WHO CRIED JELLYFISH.
Later, on the water, Big Trev rides a jet ski over to Frizzy and Gherkinn, who sit on the rescue board.
Frizzy says, CHAPTER 37, "AN INNOCENT SHARK."
She glances at Big Trev, who pulls Gherkinn onto the jet ski,
Big Trev says, I'VE GOT YOU, GHERKINN.
HOP ON.
Gherkinn says, YEAH, YEAH, IN A MINUTE!
I NEED TO HEAR THE END OF THE
STORY.
[Frizzy giggling]
[Big Trev grunting]
On the beach, Big Trev sticks a jellyfish sign in the sand. Frizzy sands beside him.
[Big Trev grunting]
Big Trev says, SORRY I DIDN'T BELIEVE YOU,
FRIZZY.
AND GOOD JOB ON KEEPING GHERKINN
CALM UNTIL I GOT THERE.
Frizzy says, THANKS, GRANDPA.
UH, SORRY FOR MUCKING AROUND ON
DUTY AND CAUSING SO MUCH CHAOS.
Big Trev says, WELL, THE BEACH IS CLOSED.
HOW ABOUT WE GO TO THE ARTY
PARTY?
[Frizzy squealing]
Frizzy claps her hands. On the Boomerang Island, at dusk, Pounce and Wanda stand on either side of the stereo.
Wanda says, HIT THE MUSIC!
SING IT, POSSUM.
Pounce presses a button on the stereo.
[Hip hop beat plays]
Philippa cheers, YEAH!
Neville cheers, YEAH!
WHOO-HOO!
Pounce cheers, YEAH.
Big Trev dances with the others. Frizzy slides across the beach wearing her sunglasses and holding a microphone.
Gemma cheers, GO, FRIZZY!
Frizzy raps, YO MY NAME'S FRIZZY AND I'M
ALWAYS BUSY.
MAKING RHYMES SO FINE I'LL
MAKE YOU DIZZY.
COME AND FIND ME IN A BIG GUM
TREE.
She climbs onto Big Trev’s head.
She raps, SING A SONG OR THREE
IT'S A TREE PARTY!

In the water, Charlene swims up and dances.

She jumps onto the sand where she greets Philippa and the junior cadets.
Frizzy cheers, YAY!
Neville says, COOL.
[Neville giggling]
Wands grabs cans of paintbrushes.
She says, MUSIC.
Gemma asks, SPORTS?
Wanda says, PAINTING.
Pounce asks, RESCUES?
Wanda says, ART, LOTS AND LOTS OF ART!
Philippa cheers, YAY!
Gemma says, HMM, DOESN'T REALLY SEEM LIKE
MY KIND OF THING.
Frizzy says, WELL, IT'S TOTALLY MY THING!
IT'S MY THING-IEST THING OF ALL
THINGY THINGS!
She carries a stereo to Wanda’s small boat. Neville follows with a stack of blank canvases.
[Philippa giggling]
Wearing a lifejacket, Philippa hops into Wanda’s boat. Frizzy and Neville load the stereo and canvases into the boat.
[Neville grunting]
Frizzy says, THIS WAY TO THE ARTY PARTY!
Nearby, Big Trev says, THIS WAY TO THE
WATCHTOWER.
[Frizzy gasping]
Frizzy says, WHAT?
Neville takes binoculars and a two-way radio from Big Trev.
He says, REMEMBER, FRIZZY?
WE'RE ON LIFEGUARD DUTY
TOGETHER.
FUN!
Frizzy says, BUT…BUT…
Big Trev says, NO BUTS.
Frizzy sighs, AW.
GO HAVE FUN WITHOUT ME.
Pounce says, WE'LL TRY.
Flatly, Gemma says, YAY, ART.
She follows Pounce to Wanda’s boat.
Philippa says, ARTY!
She shakes paint covered paintbrushes, spraying Pounce and Gemma with paint.
Pounce grunts, UGH!
Gemma groans, EW!
Philippa says, OH.
Later, above Kangaroo Beach, Frizzy uses binoculars.
She groans, UGH, BORING OLD
BEACH.
From the watchtower, she scans the beach. She uses her radio.
She says, SPOTTED ANYTHING EXCITING,
NEVILLE?
From a lookout on the beach, Neville scans the water with his binoculars. He uses his radio.
He says, UH... NO.
JUST A LUMP OF SEAWEED.
In the watchtower, a seagull stands on the railing.
[Seagull squawking]
Frizzy says, OOH, AN AUDIENCE!
She dances in a circle.
[Frizzy singing]
The seagull snatches Frizzy’s sandwich, knocking over her water and radio, then flies away.
[Seagull squawking]
Frizzy says, HEY, BEAKY!
[Radio buzzing]
Frizzy says, OOPS!
[Radio buzzing]
Frizzy grabs her radio. Water drips off.
She says through the radio, NEVILLE, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Frizzy presses a button on the radio.
[Radio static buzzing]
On the beach, Neville uses his radio.
He says, UM, A LITTLE BIT.
From the watchtower, Frizzy says, PHEW!
She puts down her radio. She looks across the water at Wanda’s festival on Boomerang Island.
[Frizzy sighing]
Frizzy says, I BET THEY'RE HAVING LOADS OF
FUN AT THE ARTY PARTY.
On Boomerang Island, Pounce, Gemma and Philippa stand behind easels with canvases. They hold paint pallets and brushes. Wanda faces them with her own paint brush.
She says, ALRIGHT, POSSUMS.
SELF-PORTRAITS.
HERE'S MINE.
Wanda turns her canvas, revealing her self-portrait.
She says, AREN'T I GORGEOUS?
Pounce says, UH, YEAH.
Gemma says, OH, COOL!
Wanda puts her canvas back on her easel.
She says, NOW, LET'S SEE OUR
SELF-PORTRAITS.
Pounce shows Wanda a rough painting of himself on the beach.
He says, TA-DA!
Wanda says, IT'S WILD.
I LOVE IT!
AND GEMMA?
Gemma says, UM...
She shows Wanda a painting of herself with stick arms and legs.
[Gemma giggling]
Wanda says, FANTASTIC, AND WHAT
ABOUT YOU, LITTLE ONE?
[Philippa babbling]
Philippa reveals her expertly painted self-portrait that looks like the Girl with a Pearl Earring painting.
Philippa says, SELFIE!
Pounce says, WOW, PHILIPPA!
Gemma says, UH...
Pounce says, THAT'S AMAZING.
Wanda says, IT'S VERY MAJESTIC.
Philippa says, PAINT-Y!
Frizzy watches the group through her binoculars.
She says, AW, THAT LOOKS SO
FUN!
Frizzy looks back at the beach. She lowers her binoculars and glances at her radio.
She says, I BET IF THE BEACH WAS CLOSED,
THEN I COULD GO TO THE ARTY
PARTY!
She grabs her radio.
[Frizzy clearing her throat]
Frizzy says to the radio, BONDI!
[Frizzy laughing]
Frizzy continues, THERE'S A BIG OLD SHARK IN THE
WATER!
[Radio feedback]
Imitating Bondi, Frizzy says, AH, THANKS,
FRIZZY.
BEACH CLOSED, FOLKS.
Imitating Big Trev, Frizzy says, WELL DONE,
FRIZZY.
YOU CAN GO TO THE ARTY PARTY.
HERE'S A GOLD MEDALLION AND AN
ICE CREAM.
[Radio feedback]
In her normal voice, Frizzy says, OH, THANK YOU,
GRANDPA.
Frizzy puts down her radio and pretends to lick an ice cream cone.
She says, MMM, YUM.
[Radio feedback]
Through the radio, Neville says, ...SAY YOU SAW A
SHARK?
[Radio feedback]
[Frizzy laughing]
Frizzy says, YEAH, A WHOPPING BIG ONE!
She grabs her radio.
On the beach, Neville says, REALLY?
He drops his radio.
[Frizzy laughing]
On the watchtower, Frizzy says through the radio, NO, I'M JUST KIDDING,
NEVILLE.
I WAS MUCKING AROUND.
THERE'S NO SHARK.
[Radio feedback]
Frizzy says, NEVILLE?
She taps her radio.
She says, I HOPE HE HEARD ME.
In the lookout on the beach, Neville uses a megaphone.
He says, SHARK!
EVERYONE OUT OF THE WATER!
He presses a button that sets off an alarm.
[Alarm wailing]
Beachgoers rush out of the ocean.
[Shouting]
In the ocean, Gherkinn snorkels. He comes up out of the water.
Gherkinn says, OH, MY GOODNESS!
I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SHARK
BISCUIT!
He rushes out of the water.
On the watchtower, Frizzy shouts, NEVILLE, NO!
FALSE ALARM!
I WAS ONLY KIDDING!
In the ocean, Sandy rides a jet ski. She scans the water. She meets Bondi, also on a jet ski, near the beach lookout.
Sandy says, NO SIGN OF A SHARK.
Bondi asks, ARE YOU SURE, NEVILLE?
IT WASN'T JUST SOME LUMPY
SEAWEED?
He and Sandy hop onto the beach.
Neville says, UH... UH...
Sandy says, NEVILLE, IT'S VERY SERIOUS TO
MAKE UP A SHARK SIGHTING.
Frizzy says, IT WAS ME!
She runs over to Neville.
She says, I TOLD NEVILLE ABOUT THE SHARK.
Bondi says, WELL, HOW BIG WAS IT?
Sandy asks, WAS IT NEAR THE BEACH?
Bondi asks, WHAT DID IT LOOK LIKE?
Sandy asks, WHEN DID YOU SEE IT?
Frizzy says, UM, WELL, ABOUT THAT, UH...
Sandy says, SORRY, FRIZZY.
IT MUST HAVE GIVEN YOU QUITE A
SHOCK.
Bondi says, AH, LET'S GO FIND IT.
In the rescue boat, Bondi, Sandy, Neville and Frizzy all wear lifejackets as they cruise through the water. Bondi and Sandy scan the water.
Bondi says, AHA!
He points ahead.
[Singing]
Bondi steers the boat up to Charlene, peacefully swimming through the water.
Bondi says, CHARLENE, LISTEN.
Sandy says, WE'VE ASK YOU NOT TO SWIM
NEAR THE BEACH.
Charlene says, WHAT?
BUT I DIDN'T.
Bondi says, WELL, FRIZZY SAW YOU.
Frizzy lowers her gaze.
Bondi says, SORRY, BUT IT'S PROBABLY BEST IF
YOU STAY DOWN AT BLUE BOTTLE
BAY.
NO SWIMMERS THERE.
Charlene says, BUT I'M INNOCENT!
Sandy says, YOU'LL BE FINE.
OFF YOU GO!
[Charlene sobbing]
Charlene swims away from the boat.
Neville says, POOR CHARLENE.
Later, on the beach, Big Trev sticks a shark sign in the sand while Bondi and Sandy help Neville off the boat. Frizzy walks down the dock ahead of them.
[Big Trev grunting]
Frizzy meets Big Trev on the beach.
He says, GREAT JOB, FRIZZY, YOU LITTLE
SHARK-SPOTTING SUPERSTAR.
YOU DESERVE THIS.
He gives Frizzy a medal.
Behind her, Neville cheers, WHOO-HOO, AWESOME!
Bondi and Sandy catch up with the two junior cadets. Frizzy has a guilty expression.
Bondi cheers, AH, YEAH!
Frizzy says, I REALLY DON'T.
[Big Trev laughing]
[Frizzy sighing]
Big Trev says, EAGLE-EYED AND MODEST.
YOU'VE EARNED A TRIP TO THE ARTY
PARTY.
I'LL GET THE CHOPPER READY.
YOU ARE GOING TO ARRIVE IN
STYLE!
He leaves.
Neville says, WOW.
YOU'RE THE GLUMMEST LOOKING
KOALA WITH A MEDALLION I'VE EVER
SEEN.
WHAT'S WRONG?
Frizzy says, I WAS ONLY PRETENDING.
THE WALKIE-TALKIE WAS BROKEN,
AND THERE WAS NO SHARK.
Neville says, THERE WASN'T?
YOU NEED TO TELL THE LIFEGUARDS.
THINK OF CHARLENE.
[Frizzy sighing]
Frizzy says, YOU'RE RIGHT.
THAT POOR, INNOCENT SHARK.
On the helicopter pad, Frizzy and Big Trev stand in front of the rescue helicopter.
Big Trev says, WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THERE WAS
NO SHARK?
WAIT.
WAS THIS A TRICK TO GO TO THE
ARTY PARTY?
Frizzy says, NO, I PROMISE!
Big Trev says, YOU HAVE SUCH A VIVID
IMAGINATION, FRIZZY.
RIGHT, NEW JOB.
On the lighthouse balcony, Frizzy squeezes water out of a sponge.
[Frizzy sighing]
A seagull lands on the railing behind Frizzy.
[Squawking]
Frizzy says, SORRY, NO SHOW TODAY.
[Squawking]
Frizzy grabs her binoculars. She watches the Arty Party on Boomerang Island, where the group stands on the beach near the water.
At the Arty Party, Wanda says, BEACH ART.
LET'S SEE WHAT FABULOUS THINGS
YOU'VE MADE.
Pounce says, UH, A STICK FIGURE?
Wanda looks at a stick in the sand.
She says, HMM, IT COULD DO WITH A
FEW... ADJUSTMENTS?
AND GEMMA?
Gemma stands beside a stack of rocks.
She says, UH, A STATUE?
The rocks fall.
Gemma groans, AW.
Wanda says, OOPS-Y.
[Philippa giggling]
Philippa adds a seashell to her beach art creation. The others walk over.
Gemma says, WOW.
She and the others admire Philippa’s recreation of The Starry Night painting.
Gemma says, SHE'S AN ARTISTIC GENIUS!
Pounce says, WOW.
Philippa runs around with a plastic bucket on her head.
She says, ARTY!
[Philippa giggling]
On the lighthouse balcony, Frizzy lowers her binoculars.
[Frizzy sighing]
Frizzy looks down at Kangaroo Beach through the binoculars. She looks at the ocean, at a large pink blob in the water.
She says, HUH?
Frizzy takes a second look at the pink blob in the water as it moves closer to the beach.
[Frizzy gasping]
Frizzy says, WHAT IS THAT?
On the beach, Big Trev removes the shark sign.
[Big Trev grunting]
Big Trev says, ALRIGHT, FOLKS.
BEACH OPEN.
Gherkinn cheers, WHOO-HOO!
He dives into the water, followed by Sammy and young wombat Doug.
[Giggling]
Through her radio, Frizzy says, GRANDPA?
THE OCEAN'S TURNING PINK!
Big Trev grabs his radio.
Through it, he says, PINK?
FRIZZY, NOW, YOU'VE TOLD SOME
WHOPPERS, BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE
PRIZE.
Frizzy says, BUT IT'S TRUE!
With her binoculars, she looks at the pink blob in the water moving closer to the beach, and the swimmers in the water.
Frizzy says, OH, MY STARFISH!
Through her radio, she says, GEMMA, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
THE OCEAN'S ALL PINK!
WHAT'S GOING ON?
On Boomerang Island, Gemma grabs her radio.
Through the radio, she says, OH, IT MIGHT BE A BIG BUNCH
OF SNOTTIES.
Frizzy says, UH, BLESS YOU?
[Gemma laughing]
Gemma says, SNOTTIES ARE PINK JELLYFISH.
Frizzy asks, ARE THEY STING-Y?
Gemma says, A LITTLE, BUT SO BEAUTIFUL.
Frizzy says, I HAVE TO WARN THE
LIFEGUARDS!
In the Kangaroo Beach surf club, the lifeguard headquarters, Frizzy meets with Sandy and Bondi by the control panel.
She says, I PROMISE I'M NOT MAKING THIS
UP!
GEMMA SAID THEY'RE CALLED
SNOTTIES.
Sandy says, SNOTTIES?
LET'S TAKE A LOOK.
She pulls up a view of the pink blob in the ocean on the computer and research on the pink jellyfish.
Sandy says, FRIZZY'S RIGHT.
THEY'RE HEADING FOR THE BEACH!
Bondi says, THEN WE'D BETTER GET THOSE
SWIMMERS OUT OF THE WATER.
ROOS AND A KOALA TO THE RESCUE!
Alarm blaring]
[Upbeat music plays]
In a montage, the Kangaroo Beach lifeguards prepare for rescue with radios, first aid kits, and rescue boards. The travel in their rescue vehicles, a helicopter, boat, submarine, and golf cart. The junior cadets gather, ready for action, and pose.
In the ocean, the pink blob that is a group of jellyfish, spread across the water as they move toward the beach. Bondi paddles toward Sid on a rescue board. Sandy paddles up to a wombat in the water.
She says, ALRIGHT-Y, COME ON!
She pulls the wombat onto her rescue board.
[Both grunting]
Bondi helps Sid onto his rescue board.
[Both grunting]
In the shallow water, Sammy and the Doug splash around.
Sammy cheers, YEAH!
WHOO-HOO!
Big Trev grabs Sammy and the Doug and carries them out of the water.
Sammy says, HUH?
[Big Trev grunting]
In the water on the other side of the beach, Gherkinn swims above a swarm of jellyfish.
He yelps, AH, AH, HELP, HELP!
JELLYFISHES, JELLYFISHES!
He franticly tries to swim away.
He wails, SAVE ME!
On the beach, Frizzy lowers her binoculars.
[Frizzy gasping]
Through her radio, Frizzy says, GRANDPA, GHERKINN NEEDS HELP!
I'M GOING TO PADDLE TO HIM!
In the water, Big Trev pulls a swimmer onto his rescue board.
[Big Trev grunting]
Through his radio, Big Trev says, RIGHT-O, FRIZZY.
KEEP HIM CALM UNTIL WE CAN GET
TO YOU.
Frizzy paddles over rolling waves and around the jellyfish on her rescue board. She paddles up to Gherkinn as he swims away from the jellyfish.
[Frizzy panting]
Gherkinn splashes around in the water franticly.
Frizzy says, GRAB ONTO MY BOARD!
YOU'RE OKAY!
Gherkinn climbs onto Frizzy’s rescue board.
He says, OH, OH, DON'T LET THE FISH
JELLIES GET ME!
He nearly falls off the board as his kicks and waves his arms.
He says, OOH, OOH, AH, AH!
[Splashing]
Frizzy says, GHERKINN, YOU NEED TO STAY
CALM.
HEY, HOW ABOUT A JOKE?
WHAT'S THE MOST EXPENSIVE KIND
OF FISH?
Gherkinn asks, WHAT, WHAT?
HUH?
Frizzy says, A GOLDFISH!
Gherkinn calms down.
He says, HUH?
OH, YEAH, BECAUSE THEY ARE
COSTING SO MUCH MONEY!
[Gherkinn laughing]
Frizzy asks, FEELING A BIT CALMER?
Gherkinn says, OH, YEAH, A LITTLE, A LITTLE.
YEAH.
HOW ABOUT, HOW ABOUT A STORY?
He rests his head on the board.
Frizzy says, OKAY.
ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS A
GIRL WHO CRIED JELLYFISH.
Later, on the water, Big Trev rides a jet ski over to Frizzy and Gherkinn, who sit on the rescue board.
Frizzy says, CHAPTER 37, "AN INNOCENT SHARK."
She glances at Big Trev, who pulls Gherkinn onto the jet ski,
Big Trev says, I'VE GOT YOU, GHERKINN.
HOP ON.
Gherkinn says, YEAH, YEAH, IN A MINUTE!
I NEED TO HEAR THE END OF THE
STORY.
[Frizzy giggling]
[Big Trev grunting]
On the beach, Big Trev sticks a jellyfish sign in the sand. Frizzy sands beside him.
[Big Trev grunting]
Big Trev says, SORRY I DIDN'T BELIEVE YOU,
FRIZZY.
AND GOOD JOB ON KEEPING GHERKINN
CALM UNTIL I GOT THERE.
Frizzy says, THANKS, GRANDPA.
UH, SORRY FOR MUCKING AROUND ON
DUTY AND CAUSING SO MUCH CHAOS.
Big Trev says, WELL, THE BEACH IS CLOSED.
HOW ABOUT WE GO TO THE ARTY
PARTY?
[Frizzy squealing]
Frizzy claps her hands. On the Boomerang Island, at dusk, Pounce and Wanda stand on either side of the stereo.
Wanda says, HIT THE MUSIC!
SING IT, POSSUM.
Pounce presses a button on the stereo.
[Hip hop beat plays]
Philippa cheers, YEAH!
Neville cheers, YEAH!
WHOO-HOO!
Pounce cheers, YEAH.
Big Trev dances with the others. Frizzy slides across the beach wearing her sunglasses and holding a microphone.
Gemma cheers, GO, FRIZZY!
Frizzy raps, YO MY NAME'S FRIZZY AND I'M
ALWAYS BUSY.
MAKING RHYMES SO FINE I'LL
MAKE YOU DIZZY.
COME AND FIND ME IN A BIG GUM
TREE.
She climbs onto Big Trev’s head.
She raps, SING A SONG OR THREE
IT'S A TREE PARTY!
IF YOU GOT TO STOP AND STARE
AND CHAT A WHILE…
In the water, Charlene swims up and dances.
She cheers, YEAH, YEAH!
Frizzy raps, I'M NOT A BLUE BEAR
I'M A COOL KOALA!
Gemma cheers, YEAH, ALRIGHT!
[Upbeat music plays]
