WAS SEPARATED IN TWO COUNTRIES,
THERE WERE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE
CALLED TAINOS.

A spa attendant says, NEXT!

Sirena’s friend takes the book and walks away from the bench.

Sirena says, SUIV MWEN! "SUIV MWEN" MEANS "FOLLOW ME" IN HAITIAN CREOLE.

In the living room, Sirena swishes the skirt of a dress with the Dominican Republic flag across her stomach. Sirena poses for photographs.

[Bachata music plays, camera shutter clicking, Sunny gasping]

Sirena sits surrounded by candles and flowers.

Sirena says, I STARTED MODELLING WHEN I WAS FOUR YEARS OLD.

Sirena holds a slice of raw plantain and a slice of fried plantain.

Sirena explains, THIS PLANTAIN BECOMES THIS. EITHER WAY, THEY ARE DELICIOUS. I STILL LIKE THEM BOTH.

[Chiming]
