Khloé admires holiday lights in a neighbourhood. On a couch, a woman with long blond and brown hair and glasses passes Khloé a tablet.

Khloé narrates, PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE REGION COME TO SEE THE AMAZING CHRISTMAS DISPLAYS. BY THE WAY, CHRISTMAS IS MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR.

In a bedroom doorway, Khloé says, FOLLOW ME. LET ME SHOW YOU MY BEDROOM.

A sign on the door reads, “Welcome.” In the bedroom, a picture frame shows a picture of Khloé with her family and step-family. Khloé’s name hangs on the wall. Balloon animal sculptures decorate a shelf. Khloé stands by a dresser with a bunny lamp clock.

Khloé says, THIS IS MY BUNNY LAMP THAT PLAYS SONGS.

She presses a button on the bunny lamp.

[Bubbling]

Khloé pretends to sink underwater. On a bunkbed, Khloé sits on the bottom bunk with a pink stuffed animal.

Khloé says, THIS IS LOVE. SHE'S A STUFFED SNAKE.

Khloé sits on a bench with ribbons laid out on a stool.

Khloé says, THESE ARE ALL THE RIBBONS AND MEDALS THAT I GOT FOR MY DANCE COMPETITIONS.

Khloé narrates, LIMBO IS A TRADITION THAT STARTED ON THE ISLAND OF TRINIDAD. THE GOAL IS TO GLIDE FORWARD UNDER A LOW BAR WITHOUT FALLING OR TOUCHING THE BAR.

She turns to her siblings and crosses her arms.

Khloé’s mom and stepdad hold a bar up high. Sean, Danika and Arianna cross under the bar. Khloé’s mom and stepdad hold the bar lower. Halfway under the bar, Danika falls to her knee.

[Buzzer]

Arianna falls under the bar.

Khloé and Sean cross under the bar. Khloé’s mom and stepdad lower the bar. Sean follows Khloé under the bar and falls.

[Buzzer]

Khloé raises her hands in celebration. Text reads, “Winner.”

In a parking lot, Khloé’s dad holds Khloé’s hand.

Khloé narrates, THIS IS MY DAD. HE'S DROPPING ME OFF AT THE DANCE STUDIO. HE LOVES TAKING ME TO MY TAP DANCE PRACTICES.

In the dance studio, a sign reads, “École Danse Louise.” Khloé dances surrounded by other girls in her dance class.

Khloé narrates, THIS IS TAP.

Khloé narrates, A LONG TIME AGO IN THE UNITED STATES, TAP DANCE WAS BORN.

[Tap shoes tapping]

Khloé narrates, PEOPLE MIX DANCES FROM WEST AFRICA, SCOTLAND, IRELAND AND ENGLAND. WHEN ENSLAVED BLACK PEOPLE COULDN'T USE DRUMS, SOME CLEVER DANCERS USED THEIR FEET TO MAKE MUSIC AND SHOW THEIR FEELINGS. BUT DON'T WORRY. THOSE TIMES ARE OVER.

Khloé dances alongside her sister.

Khloé narrates, TAP DANCERS CAN DANCE WITH OR WITHOUT MUSIC. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN MUSIC WITH THE COOL SOUNDS THEIR FEET MAKE.

Others dance in the studio.

Khloé narrates, THIS IS MY TAP DANCE TEACHER, JULIANE. THIS IS A DANCE JULIANNE TAUGHT MY SISTER AND I.

Juliane counts, FIVE. SIX. SEVEN. EIGHT.

Arianna and some of the other girls in the class strut across the dance floor and pose. On the other side of the dance floor, Khloé and the rest of the girls meet them in the middle and pose.

Khloé narrates, LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS WANT TO BATTLE. LET'S GO.

Arianna and Khloé’s groups each perform a short dance routine.

[Tap shoes tapping]

Sunny dances. Khloé dances surrounded by the others.

[Cheering]

Khloé narrates, SINCE WE ARE ALL WINNERS OF THE BATTLE, WE ALWAYS LIKE TO END OUR PRACTICE WITH SOME GOOD OLD FREESTYLING.

Khloé does the splits.

Khloé narrates, NOW IT'S TIME TO EAT.

She rubs her hands together.

Khloé narrates, LET'S ENJOY ONE OF MY FAVORITE TRINIDADIAN MEALS, PASTELLES!

She unwraps a pastelle.

Khloé narrates, TRINIDAD PASTELLES ARE CORNMEAL PIES FILLED WITH MEAT, FISH, OR VEGETABLES.

Sunny sniffs the air around Khloé’s pastelle.

Khloé narrates, THIS ONE IS FILLED WITH BEEF, WHICH IS MY FAVORITE.

She bites into the beef-filled pastelle.

Khloé narrates, IT'S SERVED WITH RICE AND PEAS. WE NORMALLY EAT IT DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON. IT'S SO DELICIOUS.

She eats alongside Arianna, Sean and Danika.

[Cheerful music plays]

Sunny bursts out of a gift box and blows a party horn. Text reads, “Sunny’s Surprise!” On a couch, Khloé sits beside her mom, who holds a tablet.

Khloé’s mom says, KHLOÉ, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU AND ALL YOUR HARD WORK. I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU.

She passes Khloé the tablet. Khloé watches a video on the tablet of a woman with long, dark brown curly hair wearing a pale pink sweater.

The brown-haired woman says, HI, KHLOÉ. THIS IS MELLY MEL. I'M A CHOREOGRAPHER, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, DANCER AND TEACHER. I STARTED MY JOURNEY AROUND YOUR AGE. NINE YEARS OLD.

Melly says, I USED TO GO TO HAITIAN SCHOOL BECAUSE I'M HALF HAITIAN, JUST LIKE YOU. I LEARNED ABOUT MY FATHER'S CULTURE. BUT WE ALSO LEARNED HOW TO DANCE. AND WE LEARNED ABOUT WEST AFRICAN MOVEMENTS. AND MY BIGGEST ADVICE FOR YOU, I WOULD SAY ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR WHY. WHY ARE YOU DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING? BECAUSE IF YOU REMEMBER WHY YOU'RE DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING, YOU'RE ALWAYS GOING TO BE IN LINE WITH YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF. AND I THINK THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. SO ANYWAYS, I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS JOURNEY AND REMEMBER: IT DOES GET HARD, BUT IT'S REALLY REWARDING BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, ANYTHING THAT IS REALLY HARD IS WORTH PUTTING EFFORT INTO BECAUSE THE REWARD WILL ALSO BE GREATER.

Khloé looks at her mom and says, THANK YOU.

Khloé says, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN SHARING MY TRINIDADIAN, HAITIAN AND CANADIAN LIFE WITH YOU ALL.

In the dance studio, Khloé dances among the other girls in her class.

Khloé says, WE DANCED, WE DID LIMBO.

She plays limbo with her siblings.

Khloé says, WE DID PARANG, WE ATE SO WELL, AND WE EVEN SAW REALLY PRETTY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS.

At night, she looks at Christmas lights.

Khloé says, NOW I'M GONNA GO PRACTICE DANCING AND CHASE MY DREAMS.

The rest of her family sit on the couch behind her.

They all wave and say, BYE!
