A child says, WHEE!

t.v.o. kids, plus Riverbank Pictures Original.

[Giggling]

[Upbeat music plays]

Gears turn on a blueprint. Text reads, T.V.O. kids presents.

A girl with black hair in short, tight braids wears a blue long-sleeved blue shirt. She stands beside a boy with short, curly brown hair wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt.

The two kids say, WELCOME TO TRADING SKILLS!

They cross their arms and stand back to back. The brown-haired boy points to a video of the black-haired girl riding in a tractor.

The black-haired girl says, THE SHOW WHERE WE TAKE TURNS
TRYING A SKILLED TRADE.
I'M AKEYLAH.

The brown-haired boy says, AND I'M BRODY.

Akeylah, the black-haired girl, says, A SKILLED TRADE IS A JOB THAT
REQUIRES A SPECIAL SKILL.

Videos show Akeylah and the black-haired boy Brody trying different skilled trades.

They both say, THERE ARE LOTS OF SKILL TRADES.

Brody uses a virtual reality headset and controllers.

Brody says, AND YOU MIGHT FIND THE PERFECT
TRADE FOR YOU!

Akeylah makes dough and rides an aerial lift.

Akeylah says, MAYBE THERE'S A TRADE THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Brody explores a greenhouse.

Brody says, SO COME WITH US INTO THE TRADES.

Together, Akeylah and Brody say, ON TRADING SKILLS.

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

[Flashlight clicking]

In a dark room, Brody shines a flashlight under his chin.

Brody says, HEY, GANG, WELCOME BACK TO THE SKILL SPACE. AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED, IT'S A BIT DARK TODAY.

[Flashlight clicking]

Akeylah appears beside Brody with a flashlight shining under her chin.

Akeylah says, SOMETHING WENT WRONG
WITH OUR POWER,
AND I'M WILLING TO BET IT HAS
SOMETHING TO DO WITH BRODY
TAPING TWO TOASTERS TOGETHER
AND PLUGGING THEM IN.

Akeylah shines her flashlight on two toasters taped together.

Brody says, COME ON, YOU KNOW BUILDING
A SUPER TOASTER
HAS ALWAYS BEEN
MY DREAM.

Akeylah asks, SINCE WHEN?

Brody says, SINCE YESTERDAY.

Akeylah says, WE'RE IN THE DARK ON HOW TO
FIX THIS PROBLEM.

Brody nods.

[Flashlight clicking]

Anna appears beside Brody and Akeylah with a flashlight shining under her chin.

Anna says, I HAVE JUST THE TRADE TO
SHINE A LIGHT ON
WHAT YOU NEED.
IT'S CALLED AN
ELECTRICIAN!

Brody and Akeylah say, ANNA!

Anna says, ELECTRICIANS ARE RESPONSIBLE
FOR INSTALLING
AND MAINTAINING
ELECTRICAL WIRING.
I KNOW AN ELECTRICIAN
NAMED THEO,
WHOSE PASSION FOR HIS
TRADE IS ELECTRIC.

[Dinging]

Electrician Theo Davis flips on a light on a worksite. He has a neatly trimmed beard and wears his short, black hair in tight braids. Theo wears a black, long-sleeved shirt with a logo of the Hamilton Ontario Canada I.B.E.W. 105 union and text on the arms that reads, Always Training as well as a hard hat, safety glasses and work gloves.

Brody says, A BRIGHT IDEA, TO THE
TRADES I GO!

Brody turns off his flashlight and walks away. Akeylah turns to Anna.

Brody yelps, WHOA!

[Crashing]

Akeylah and Anna turn their flashlights toward Brody.

Brody says, I'M OKAY.
LIKE I SAID, TO THE TRADES
I GO, CAREFULLY.

Brody walks toward the door.

[Soft laughing]

Anna smiles and shakes her head.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Upbeat music plays]

Brody walks toward a building with an open door.

He narrates, I FOUND MYSELF IN HAMILTON,
ONTARIO TO MEET THEO,
AND I COULDN'T WAIT TO
POWER UP BY
LEARNING TO BE AN ELECTRICIAN.

Brody walks through a room with various electrical equipment.

He says, HI THEO!

Brody waves and joins Theo at a worktable. Theo works on a device wearing his safety glasses and work gloves.

Theo says, HEY BRODY.

Theo takes off one of his gloves and shakes Brody’s hand.

Theo says, WELCOME TO HAMILTON.

Brody says, THANK YOU.
SO BEING AN ELECTRICIAN IS ALL
ABOUT ELECTRICITY.
DO I HAVE THAT RIGHT?

Theo says, YOU SURE DO.
AS ELECTRICIANS, WE BRING
ELECTRICITY INTO YOUR HOMES,
YOUR SCHOOLS AND FACTORIES, AND
TO DO THAT, WE CONNECT THE
ELECTRICAL WIRES TO PLUGS,
SWITCHES, LIGHTS,
AND OTHER DEVICES.

Brody says, I'M READY TO FLIP THE SWITCH ON
BECOMING AN ELECTRICIAN!

Theo says, THEN, LET'S GET
YOU GEARED UP.
LET'S GO!

Title: Trading Skills.

[Cheerful music plays]

Theo leads Brody to a worktable. On the table, two boards of electrical equipment include square and circular electrical boxes, light switch cover plates, receptacle outlets, light switches, lamp holders and wires. Theo and Brody wear hard hats, safety glasses and work gloves.

Brody says, OOH, SO WHAT'S ALL THIS?

Theo says, HERE WE HAVE ONE OF
OUR TRAINING BOXES.

Brody says, I DIDN'T KNOW WE'D BE BOXING,
BUT IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES!

He raises his hands, revealing boxing gloves.

[Boxing ring bell ringing]

Theo says, NOT THAT KIND OF A BOX.
WE USE THIS TO PRACTICE
OUR ELECTRICAL WIRING.
WE'RE GONNA START OFF BY PULLING
THESE ELECTRICAL WIRES
IN THROUGH THE BOXES,
AND THEN
WE'RE GONNA WIRE IT
UP TO A PLUG.
A SWITCH, WHICH IS GONNA
CONNECT TO A LIGHT.

Theo holds up a plug outlet, also known as a receptacle outlet, a light switch and a lamp holder. Brody nods.

Theo says, YOU'RE GONNA START BY
TAKING THAT WIRE
AND STUFFING IT IN THROUGH
THAT HOLE THERE.

Brody pushes white, green and black wires through the square electrical boxes on his board.

Theo says ALL RIGHT.
AND KEEP FEEDING IT.
I'LL GIVE YOU A HAND, AND
I'LL GRAB IT ON THIS END.

Theo pulls wires from a square box to a circular box.

Theo says, IT'S A GOOD LENGTH.
PERFECT.

He holds up a tool.

Theo says, THE FIRST THING WE'LL DO IS
GRAB OUR SIDE CUTTERS.

Brody holds up a pair of side cutters.

He says, GOT 'EM.

Theo says WE'LL CUT OUR BLACK.

Brody cuts black and white wires.

He asks, WHY ARE WE CUTTING THEM?

Theo says. NOW, WE'RE CUTTING THESE
SO THAT WE CAN
CONNECT THEM TO THE
DEVICE.

Theo cuts the green wires.

He says, THREE.

Theo says, NEXT THING UP WILL BE
OUR WIRE STRIPPERS.

Theo holds a green wire between the blades of his wire strippers. Brody positions his wire strippers on a green wire.

Theo says, PERFECT.
GIVE IT A LITTLE TWIST.

He gently turns his wire strippers. Brody does the same.

Brody says, TWIST.

He pulls a piece of the green insulation off the tip of the wire.

Brody says, THERE!

Theo says, PERFECT.

Brody uses his wire cutters on a white wire.

Brody and Theo say, TWIST.

Brody pulls a piece of the white insulation off the tip of the wire.

Theo says, OH, YOU'RE BECOMING
A PRO.

The other wires are stripped.

Theo says, SO NOW WE ARE READY TO
START CONNECTING
ALL THE DEVICES TOGETHER.
FOR THIS, WE'LL USE MY
FANCY STRIPPERS.
THEY'RE CALLED CATAPULT
STRIPPERS.

Theo holds up his catapult strippers.

He says, WE PINCH, AND IT'S A
LITTLE BIT
EASIER TO STRIP THE
WIRE THAT WAY.

Theo strips insulation off the middle of a green wire. Brody trims a wire with his wire cutters.

[Wire cutters snapping]

[Brody grunting]

Theo says, NOW THAT WE'VE GOT THEM
THE SAME LENGTH
IT'S TIME TO CONNECT THEM
TO OUR SWITCH.

Theo holds up a light switch.

Brody says, ALL RIGHT.

The exposed wire of two black wires are wrapped around metal on a light switch.

Theo says, RIGHTY TIGHTY.

With a screwdriver, Brody screws the wires into place with a screw.

Theo says, WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN HERE IS
THE ELECTRICITY IS GOING
TO COME IN THROUGH OUR
BOTTOM WIRE AND
IT'S GOING TO BE SITTING
AT THIS POINT.
AND THEN WHEN WE FLICK
THE SWITCH
THAT TELLS THE ELECTRICITY
THAT IT CAN CONTINUE
TO FLOW AND IT'LL GO
UP TO OUR LIGHT.

Brody connects a white and black wire to the lamp cover.

He says, THERE.

Theo holds the lamp cover over the circular electrical box.

Theo AND WE'LL GENTLY TIGHTEN
THIS DOWN.

In a timelapse, Brody screws the cover onto the box.

[Sound speeding up whirring]

Theo passes Brody a light bulb.

Theo says, NOW WE NEED A LIGHT BULB IN
OUR LAMP HOLDER.

Brody says, LIGHT BULB.

He twists the light bulb into place.

They says, WE'LL PUT OUR
RECEPTACLE TESTER.
WE'RE GOING TO PLUG IT
INTO OUR PLUG.

Brody plugs a receptacle tester, a small orange device, into a plug on the board. Theo plugs a cord connected to the electrical boxes into an extension cord, and the receptacle tester lights up green.

Brody asks, GREEN MEANS GOOD, RIGHT?

Theo says, IT SURE DOES.
WE KNOW THAT WE'VE WIRED UP
OUR PLUG PROPERLY.
LET'S SEE IF WE'VE WIRED UP
OUR SWITCH PROPERLY.

Brody taps the board.

[Drum roll]

Brody flips the light switch.

[Dinging]

The light turns on.

Brody cheers, YEAH!

Theo says, CONGRATULATIONS BRODY, YOU'VE
WIRED UP YOUR FIRST CIRCUIT.

Brody says, YES!
LET'S MOVE ON!

He leaves with Theo. Brody quickly returns and turns off the light.

Brody says, SAVE ENERGY.

He leaves.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Upbeat music plays]

In a virtual reality electrical training room, a monitor shows an electrical box on a construction site.

Brody says, WHOA, WHAT'S THIS PLACE?

Theo and Brody walk in. Theo holds a V.R. headset.

Theo says, WELL, THIS IS OUR V.R. RIG.
WE USE THIS TO TEACH
OUR APPRENTICES
MORE ADVANCED
ELECTRICAL WORK.
THIS ONE IS A
HIGH-RISE JOB,
SO WE'RE GOING TO BE WAY
UP IN THE AIR.
LET'S SAY WE'RE ON THE 20TH
STORY OF THE BUILDING,
AND YOU'RE GOING TO PUT
THIS HEADSET ON.
I'M GOING TO PASS YOU THE
CONTROLLERS,
AND YOU'RE GOING TO
TRY AND WIRE UP A SYSTEM.

Brody says, OKAY!

He puts on the V.R. headset.

Brody says, WHOA!

Theo says, THE COOLEST PART IS
EVERYTHING YOU SEE,
WE CAN SEE ON THE
T.V. HERE.
SO WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO NOW IS
YOU'RE GOING TO GRAB THE WIRE,
KIND OF LIKE WE DID
DOWNSTAIRS.
YOU GOT YOUR GROUND WIRE
AND YOU'RE GOING TO
CONNECT IT TO YOUR WHITE WIRE
OR YOUR NEUTRAL.

With the V.R. controllers, Brody grabs a green wire and a white wire in the virtual building.

Theo says, SO NOW YOU GOT TO GET THE
WHITE WIRE CONNECTED.
YOU'RE GOING TO JOIN THOSE TWO
WIRES TOGETHER NOW.

In the virtual building, Brody turns to an electrical box.

Theo says, AND NOW WE'RE GOING TO STUFF
THEM INSIDE OF THE BOX.
UP TOP, THERE'S ANOTHER
BOX UP TOP.

Brody tilts his head and reaches up with the controller in his right hand.

Theo says, YOU GOT TO PUT YOUR
PIGTAIL IN THERE
AND YOU GOT TO USE THE
SCREWDRIVER
TO SCREW THAT
SCREW IN.

In the virtual building, Brody twists a screw with a screwdriver.

Theo says, CONGRATULATIONS BRODY,
YOU DID IT!

Brody takes off the V.R. headset.

He says, REALLY?

Theo says, YEAH!

Brody says, YES!
IS THERE A LESSON TO WHERE
I'M DOING SOME WIRING
BUT I HAVE TO FIND A
DINOSAUR AT THE SAME TIME?

Theo sadly shakes his head.

He says, UNFORTUNATELY NOT.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

In a large electrician training room, Brody sits at a table with Theo.

Brody narrates, MY DAY AS AN ELECTRICIAN WAS OFF
TO A BRIGHT START,
BUT I WANTED TO KNOW HOW
THEO GOT INTO THE TRADE.

Out loud, Brody asks, SO THEO, HOW DID YOU DECIDE TO
BECOME AN ELECTRICIAN?

Theo says, WELL, GROWING UP I
WAS ALWAYS
FASCINATED WITH THE WAY
THINGS WORKED.
SO I WOULD PULL THEM
APART, LIKE MY V.C.R.
WHEN WE WERE GROWING
UP, AND THEN
I WOULD HAVE TO TRY AND
PUT IT BACK TOGETHER
BEFORE MY PARENTS
GOT HOME.
I TOOK ELECTRICITY AND
DIFFERENT TECH COURSES
ALL THROUGHOUT MY TIME
IN HIGH SCHOOL.
THEN I HEARD THAT THE ELECTRICAL
UNION WAS ACCEPTING
NEW APPRENTICES, SO I
APPLIED, GOT IN
AND HAVEN'T LOOKED BACK
SINCE.

Brody asks, WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DID
YOU HAVE TO DO?

Theo says, WELL, AN ELECTRICAL
APPRENTICESHIP IS A 9000 HOUR
OR A FIVE YEAR
APPRENTICESHIP,
AND IN THAT TIME THERE'S THREE
INTAKES OF TRADE SCHOOL
WHERE YOU GO TO COLLEGE,
AND THEN YOU
GET A DIPLOMA WHEN YOU'RE
ALL FINISHED THAT.

Brody asks, WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT BEING
AN ELECTRICIAN?

Theo says, WELL, I LIKE THAT THE STUFF THAT
WE DO STANDS THE TEST OF TIME.
YOU CAN GO BACK TO A BUILDING 20
YEARS LATER,
AND IT'S STILL STANDING THERE,
AND YOU CAN SAY,
'I DID THAT.'

Brody says, SO YOU WERE AN APPRENTICE,
DO YOU LIKE TEACHING THE
NEXT GENERATION?

Theo says, I LOVE TEACHING THE NEXT
GENERATION OF APPRENTICES,
INCLUDING…

A girl with glasses wears her tightly braided black hair in a low bun and a black long-sleeved shirt matching Theo’s. She rolls up to the table on an office chair, holding a toy evergreen tree with snow and lights.

Theo says, …MY FAVOURITE
APPRENTICE, MY DAUGHTER,
BRIELLA.

Brody waves and says, HI BRIELLA.

Briella waves and says, HI.

Brody asks, WHAT DO YOU GOT THERE?

Briella says, I BUILT THIS CHRISTMAS TREE.

Brody says, WOW.
ARE YOU THE NEXT GENERATION
OF ELECTRICIANS?

Briella says, YES, TOTALLY.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Light, upbeat music plays]

Brody walks up to Theo in a room with plywood covering the floor and looks at a silver, circular device on top of a copper cylinder.

Brody asks, WHAT'S THIS, SOME KIND OF
MARTIAN ZAPPER RAY?

Theo says, WELL, IT'S ACTUALLY A
TESLA COIL.

Brody asks, WHAT DOES A TESLA
COIL DO?

Theo says, WE USE A TESLA COIL TO TRY
AND GIVE AN EXAMPLE
OF SOME ELECTRICAL THEORY
THAT YOU CAN
ACTUALLY SEE.

Brody asks, SO IT'S EASIER TO UNDERSTAND
ELECTRICITY
IF YOU CAN SEE IT,
LIKE LIGHTNING?

Theo says, EXACTLY.
WHEN YOU TURN IT ON, IT CREATES
A FIELD OF ELECTRICITY
THAT GOES OUT, AND ANYTHING
THAT ENTERS
THAT FIELD OF ELECTRICITY WILL
GET ENERGIZED OR ELECTRIFIED.
AND THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THIS
LIGHT BULB HERE,
SO YOU'LL SEE THAT THIS LIGHT
BULB WILL TURN ON.

A tube light hangs beside the Tesla coil.

Brody asks, WHERE DOES THE ELECTRICITY
COME FROM?

Theo says, IF YOU LOOK AT THE TOP HERE,
WE'VE GOT OUR BREAKOUT POINT,
AND THE ELECTRICITY IS GOING TO
EXIT OUT OF OUR BREAKOUT POINT,
AND IT'S GOING TO GO TO THIS
PLATE WHICH WE HAVE CONNECTED
ALL THE WAY BACK DOWN TO
THE GROUND.

A tiny wire, a breakout point, sticks out of the circular part of the Tesla coil. The breakout point points toward a metal grate hanging from the ceiling. A cord hangs from the grate.

Brody says, THAT'S REALLY COOL.
I JUST HAVE ONE QUESTION.
CAN IT SING?

Theo says, IT ACTUALLY CAN.
WELL, NOT SING, BUT YOU CAN
TAKE THE FREQUENCY,
BECAUSE SOUND IS
FREQUENCY, AND IF
YOU PLAY IT AT
DIFFERENT FREQUENCIES,
YOU GET MUSIC.

Brody says, COOL.
CAN WE TURN IT ON?

Theo says, WE DEFINITELY CAN, BUT IT
IS LIGHTNING,
SO WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT
WE'RE STANDING AT A
SAFE DISTANCE.

Brody says, ALRIGHT, LET'S GO!

He and Theo leave the room.

[Upbeat music continues]

Away from the Tesla coil, Theo wears earplugs.

Theo says, WE'VE GOT OUR EARPLUGS IN.

Brody says, YUP.

Theo says, NEXT THING WE NEED TO DO
IS KILL THE LIGHTS.
BRODY?

Brody shouts, LIGHTS!

[Lights shutting off]

A line of electricity that looks like lightning moves between the metal grate and the Tesla coil. The tube light beside the Tesla coil turns on.

[Cheerful electrical frequency music plays]

[Rock electrical frequency music plays]

Theo plays an air guitar, and Brody dances.

[Light, cheerful music plays]

Brody pops up in the space with the unfinished room.

Brody says, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT THIS
TRADE HAS ME PRETTY WIRED.
I'M GONNA BLOW OFF SOME STEAM
AS WE LEARN ABOUT THE
MEGAWATT
HISTORY OF ELECTRICIANS.

[Electricity sparking]

Brody runs around four high-visibility posts in the space.

[Ragtime music plays]

In black and white, Akeylah wears a T-shirt, bowtie and a wig.

Brody narrates, THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRICITY
WAS JUMP-STARTED
BY THE RIVALRY BETWEEN
INVENTORS THOMAS EDISON
AND NIKOLA TESLA, WHO BOTH
INVENTED LIGHT BULBS.

In a laboratory, Akeylah, as Thomas Edison, holds up a light bulb. Akeylah, as Nikola Tesla, wears a fake moustache and tie and holds up a light bulb.

Brody narrates, IN THE 1800S, WORLD'S FAIRS WERE
VERY POPULAR
AND ELECTRICITY DEMONSTRATIONS
WERE A BIG DRAW.

Akeylah puts a tool in a tool belt.

Brody continues, SO THE FIRST ELECTRICIANS
WERE BORN
TO INSTALL THE PRESENTATIONS.
IN THE 20TH CENTURY,
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WERE NEEDED
IN BUILDINGS.

Akeylah walks by a construction site with a wrench.

Brody narrates, AND SMALLER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
LIKE REFRIGERATORS
WERE BEING DEVELOPED,
WHICH MEANT
ELECTRICIANS STARTED TO
SPECIALIZE IN THEIR TRADE.

Akeylah smiles. In a classroom, she looks at a wire with a crease in her brow.

Brody narrates, THE ONTARIO ELECTRIC LEAGUE WAS
FOUNDED IN 1922.
AND BY THE 1940S, THEY HAD
ESTABLISHED 14 DIFFERENT
WIRING SCHOOLS TO CREATE A
GENERATION
OF HOMEGROWN ELECTRICIANS.

[Gentle music plays]

In the space with the unfinished room, a sign reads, Building the Future Together.

Brody narrates, THERE'S SOME UNFINISHED WALLS IN
THIS BUILDING,
AND THEO SHOWED ME WHY!

Brody and Theo walk to the unfinished room wearing hard hats, safety glasses and work gloves and high-five. Inside the room, they walk around beams that form the walls.

Theo says, THIS IS WHERE WE PRACTICE
WIRING UP HOUSES.

Brody says, ALL RIGHT, TEACH.
WHAT BRAIN BUSTER
HAVE WE GOT?

Theo says, WE'RE GONNA WIRE UP A
THREE-WAY SWITCH.
AND THAT BASICALLY MEANS THAT
YOU CAN CONTROL IT
FROM MORE THAN
ONE LOCATION.

Brody rubs his hands together.

He says, LET'S SEE IF WE CAN FIND THE
GREEN GROUND.

He looks at wires sticking out of an electrical box. A switch hangs out of the box by a stripped wire.

Brody says, WHERE IS IT?
AND WHY IS THERE A
RED WIRE?

He furrows his brow.

Theo says, THE OTHER APPLICATION THAT
WE DID WAS
MORE LIKE A COMMERCIAL
BUILDING,
WHERE WE HAD
INDIVIDUAL WIRES.
INSIDE OF A HOUSE, WE HAVE THESE
WHITE INSULATED WIRES
CALLED ROMEX.

Theo points to a thick white wire.

He says, AND THE GROUND WIRE, WHICH
YOU'RE USED TO SEEING AS GREEN,
IS NOW A BARE WIRE.

Theo points to a bare wire and reaches for a red insulated wire.

He says, AND OUR RED WIRE, WHICH
YOU NOTICED,
THAT WE CALL THE
TRAVELLER.
AND THAT JUST CONNECTS IN
BETWEEN SWITCHES.
SEE IF YOU CAN GET THE
BLACK WIRE
ON THAT BLACK SCREW
TERMINAL.

Brody says, SO, I THINK I JUST GO…

He connects a black wire to the receptacle outlet.

[Clicking]

Theo says, NEXT, WE'LL SEE IF YOU CAN GRAB
THE RIGHT SCREWDRIVER
TO TIGHTEN IT DOWN.

Brody looks at three different screwdrivers on a table of tools. He picks one up.

Brody says, THE ONE!

Theo says, YOU GOT IT.

Brody says, THE ONE IS THE ONE.

He screws the wire into place.

Theo asks, AND WHAT DO YOU THINK
COMES NEXT?

Brody asks, STRIPPING THE WIRES?

He holds up Theo’s catapult strippers.

Theo says, YOU GOT IT.

Brody strips a section of a black wire with the catapult strippers. He screws the wire onto the light switch.

[Brody grunting]

Theo says, NOW RIGHT NOW THERE'S NO
ELECTRICITY ANYWHERE
AND THAT'S THE WAY YOU WANT
TO MAKE SURE
YOU'RE WORKING.
YOU DON'T
WANT IT TO WORK LIVE.
YOU'RE GONNA TUCK EVERYTHING
INSIDE OF THE BOX.
YOU'RE DOING GREAT.

Brody pushes the wires into the electrical box.

He says, I LEARN FROM THE BEST.

Theo smiles.

[Brody grunting]

Brody says, YEAH, GO TO YOUR HOME!

He pushes the light switch onto the box and screws it in place.

Theo asks, AND YOU REMEMBER WHAT
THE LAST STEP IS?

Brody holds up a cover plate.

He says, COVER PLATE.

Theo says, YOU GOT IT.

Brody screws the cover plate over the light switch.

He says, SURE HOPE I DID THE
WIRING RIGHT.

Theo says, WE'RE GONNA FIND OUT.
NEXT, I'M GONNA TURN
THE POWER ON
BY FLICKING THE BREAKER
INSIDE OF THIS PANEL.

Theo opens a breaker box.

He says, YOU ALWAYS WANT TO
LOOK AWAY.

Theo and Brody turn away from the breaker box. Theo flicks a switch in the box.

[Clicking]

Theo says, JUST IN CASE THERE'S
AN ARC.

Brody says, NEXT UP, THE TRUSTY
PLUG TESTER.

He plugs a plug tester into an outlet, and it lights up.

Brody says, GREEN MEANS GO!

Theo says, OKAY, MOMENT OF TRUTH.

He pats his legs in a drum roll. A light turns on.

[Dinging]

Brody cheers, VICTORY!
YEAH!

Theo says, WELL BRODY, HOW DOES IT FEEL
TO BE AN ELECTRICIAN?

Brody says, THEO MY GOOD MAN,
IT FEELS ELECTRIC.

Theo and Brody high-five.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

In the Skill Space warehouse, in the dark, Brody shines a flashlight under his chin.

He says, I PASSED MY CURRENT KNOWLEDGE OF
BEING AN ELECTRICIAN TO ANNA,
TO SEE IF SHE CAN HELP
BRIGHTEN OUR DAY.

[Flashlight clicking]

Akeylah appears beside Brody with a flashlight shining under her chin.

Akeylah asks, HOW'S IT
GOING ANNA?

Akeylah and Brody shine their lights toward the door. At a breaker box, Anna flips a switch.

Anna says, LET THERE BE LIGHT!

The Skill Space warehouse lights up.

Akeylah and Brody cheer, YEAH!

Akeylah says, BRODY, I'M AMPED THAT
YOUR DAY WITH THEO
HAS BROUGHT THE A.C.
BACK TO THE SKILL SPACE!

Brody says, IT REALLY WAS A CONDUIT
TO FINDING
OUR WAY OUT OF THE DARK
AND INTO THE LIGHT.

Akeylah says, MAYBE BEING AN ELECTRICIAN WILL
BE A MEGAWATT CAREER FOR YOU.

Brody says, AND EVEN IF IT ISN'T,
THERE'S STILL SO MANY OTHER
TRADES OUT THERE
THAT COULD BE LIGHTNING IN
A BOTTLE.

Akeylah says, I BET THERE'S ONE THAT COULD
TAKE YOU TO THE TOP.

Akeylah and Brody wave and say, BYE!

[Upbeat music plays]
