A child says, WHEE!

t.v.o. kids and Riverbank Pictures Original.

[Giggling]

[Upbeat music plays]

Gears turn on a blueprint. Text reads, T.V.O. kids presents.

A girl with black hair in short, tight braids wears a blue long-sleeved shirt. She stands beside a boy with short, curly brown hair wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt.

The two kids say, WELCOME TO TRADING SKILLS!

They cross their arms and stand back to back. The brown-haired boy points to a video of the black-haired girl riding in a tractor.

The black-haired girl says, THE SHOW WHERE WE TAKE TURNS TRYING A SKILLED TRADE. I'M AKEYLAH.

The brown-haired boy says, AND I'M BRODY.

Akeylah, the black-haired girl, says, A SKILLED TRADE IS A JOB THAT REQUIRES A SPECIAL SKILL.

Videos show Akeylah and the brown-haired boy Brody trying different skilled trades.

They both say, THERE ARE LOTS OF SKILL TRADES.

Brody uses a virtual reality headset and controllers.

Brody says, AND YOU MIGHT FIND THE PERFECT TRADE FOR YOU!

Akeylah makes dough and rides an aerial lift.

Akeylah says, MAYBE THERE'S A TRADE THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Brody explores a greenhouse.

Brody says, SO COME WITH US INTO THE TRADES.

Together, Akeylah and Brody say, ON TRADING SKILLS.

Title: Trading Skills.

[Upbeat music plays]

In the Skills Space, Akeylah stands at the worktable, flipping through a textbook. She wears a pink long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

Akeylah says, OOH, HORTICULTURIST. THAT CAN BE COOL. I WAS JUST LOOKING THROUGH THE BIG BOOK OF TRADES TO –

From close by, Brody shouts, OH, NO!

Akeylah furrows her brow.

She says, LIKE I WAS SAYING, I THINK I FOUND A REALLY NEAT TRADE.

Brody wails, OH NO, NO, NO, NO!

He walks up to Akeylah wearing a black and white striped shirt and green cargo pants.

Akeylah asks, IS EVERYTHING OKAY, BRODY?

Brody says, NO, EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY NOT OKAY!

He holds up a broken necklace.

Brody says, MY GRANDMA GAVE ME THIS SPECIAL
NECKLACE THAT SHE USED TO WEAR.
WHEN I TRIED TO TAKE IT OFF,
ONE OF THE LINKS BROKE.
I GUESS I JUST DON'T KNOW
MY OWN STRENGTH.

Akeylah says, NO USE CRYING OVER
BENT LINKS.
WHY DON'T I TAKE A LOOK AND SEE
IF THERE'S A SKILLED TRADE
THAT CAN HELP FIX YOUR
GRANNY'S JEWELRY?

Brody says, GOOD IDEA!

Akeylah flips through the book of trades.

She says, OKAY, LET'S SEE HERE. NO, NO, NO. AH! GOLDSMITH! A GOLDSMITH MAKES AND REPAIRS JEWELRY!

Brody says, THAT CAN WORK.

Akeylah says, IT SAYS HERE THERE'S A GOLDSMITH IN WATERDOWN, ONTARIO.

Goldsmith Alex Kirby works in a shop wearing a brown leather apron. Alex has long, red hair and a neatly trimmed beard and wears a blue button-down shirt with rolled up sleeves.

Akeylah says, I'LL SEND YOU THE DETAILS.

Brody says, DON'T WORRY, GRANDMA. I WILL FIND THE MISSING LINK TO FIX YOUR NECKLACE!

He steps past Akeylah toward the stairs.

Brody says, AND IT'S THAT WAY.

He turns around and says, IT’S THAT WAY.

Akeylah nods. She waves and watches Brody leave.

[Whooshing]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle music plays]

In Waterdown, a store window reads, Waterdown Goldsmith, 905-689-5222.

Brody narrates, I HEADED TO WATERDOWN, ONTARIO
TO MEET ALEX, A SECOND
GENERATION GOLDSMITH.

Brody walks into the store wearing a red T-shirt over a grey long-sleeved shirt. He looks at a glass display case with jewelry, including necklaces and rings.

Brody says, LOOKS LIKE I CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.

A man says, YOU SURE HAVE.

Brody turns around and says, HEY ALEX!

Alex says, HEY!

Brody and Alex high-five.

Brody says, SO I'VE GOT A NECKLACE
THAT NEEDS REPAIRING.
THAT'S WHAT A GOLDSMITH
DOES, RIGHT?

Alex says, THAT'S WHAT WE DO.
NOT ONLY THAT, WE ALSO REPAIR
JEWELRY, WE RE-SIZE RINGS.
WE CAN CREATE JEWELRY
FROM SCRATCH,
AND WE CAN ALSO MELT
DOWN OLD GOLD
AND MAKE NEW STUFF
OUT OF IT.

Brody says, I CAME HERE TO REPAIR MY
GRANDMA'S NECKLACE,
BUT CAN I SEE HOW YOU
MAKE RINGS FIRST?

Alex says, SURE, FOLLOW ME!

He leads Brody further into the store.

Brody says, THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME.

Alex walks up to a computer.

He says, SO HERE'S WHERE WE DESIGN THE RINGS.

Brody says, A COMPUTER THAT MAKES RINGS. LET ME GIVE IT A TRY.

He pulls the keyboard closer.

Brody says, R.I.N.G.S.

He enters the command, Rings, into a program.

[Error buzzer]

Brody says, UNKNOWN COMMAND. OKAY, YOUR TURN.

He passes the keyboard to Alex.

[Alex laughing]

Alex says, IT'S NOT QUITE
THAT SIMPLE.
SO WHAT WE USE IS A CAD PROGRAM,
OR A COMPUTER ASSISTED DRAWING.
WHAT WE START WITH IS
BASIC LINES
THAT START WITH THE
FRAME OF THE RING.
AND FROM THERE, IT STARTS
TO BUILD-UP
INTO WHAT LOOKS LIKE
YOUR REAL RING.

Alex designs a ring with the Cad program.

He says, WE CAN ADD IN OUR STONES,
ADD IN OUR CLAWS,
AND EVENTUALLY, YOU'LL
GET SOMETHING
THAT WILL LOOK
LIKE THIS.

Alex adds different-sized stones to the ring.

Brody says, SO YOU CAN CREATE ANY
PIECE OF JEWELRY
IN ALL OF YOUR
IMAGINATION?

Alex says, ANYTHING YOU WANT.

Brody says, WHOA, JEWELRY OF THE FUTURE!

[Explosion]

Brody asks, IS THIS THE ONLY WAY YOU MAKE RINGS?

Alex says, NOT THE ONLY WAY. WE ALSO USE A REALLY OLD PROCESS CALLED LOST WAX CASTING.

Brody says, I'M LOST.

Alex says, COME HERE, LET ME SHOW YOU.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Elsewhere in the store, Alex grabs a headband magnifier.

Alex says, ALL RIGHT, LET'S SHOW YOU HOW
TO MAKE A RING OUT OF WAX.

He sits at a work table beside Brody and puts on the headband. Brody wears a leather apron and safety glasses.

Brody says, LET'S DO THIS!

He looks at a blue tube, a wax template.

Brody asks, HOW IN THE WORLD ARE WE GOING TO TURN THAT INTO A RING?

Alex says, LET ME SHOW YOU.
SO, WE'RE GOING TO
USE FILES,
AND WHAT WE'RE
GOING TO DO IS
WE'RE GOING TO FLATTEN
THE TOP OFF
SO WE GET A NICE PARALLEL
LINE FOR OUR RING.

Alex files the top of the wax template.

He asks, WANT TO GIVE IT A TRY?

Brody says, YEAH!

Alex says, THERE YOU GO.

He passes the wax tube and a large file to Brody. Brody holds the wax template against a wooden and metal block on the table. He turns the wax template and files the top.

Alex says, THERE YOU GO, THAT
LOOKS GOOD.

Brody looks at the wax template.

He says, YEAH.

Alex says, ALRIGHT, SO LET'S MEASURE
OUT WHERE WE'RE GONNA CUT.

He grabs a tool from under the table.

Alex says, SO THESE ARE SEPARATORS
OR COMPASSES
AND WE'RE GONNA STRETCH THAT OUT
TO EXACTLY WHERE WE NEED IT,
ALL THE WAY AROUND THE RING.

Alex holds the sharp-tipped compass tool sideways and turns it around the top of the wax template.

He says, SO THIS IS GONNA SHOW US WHERE
WE'RE GONNA CUT THE RING
SO THAT THE SIDES ARE
NICE AND PARALLEL.

The compass tool marks a line in the wax.

Alex says, AND THAT IS WHERE WE'RE
GONNA CUT OUR RING.
SO WHAT I'M GONNA DO IS I'M
GONNA FOLLOW THE LINE
ALL THE WAY AROUND
THE OUTSIDE,
CAREFULLY FOLLOWING
MY LINE.

Alex saws the wax on the line. He slowly turns the wax template as he works.

Alex says, AND THEN ONCE I GET
THAT THROUGH.

He saws a ring off the wax template.

Alex says, THERE IT IS.

Brody picks up the ring.

He says, WHOA.

Brody tries to put the ring on his thumb.

He says, IT DOESN'T FIT.

Alex says, WELL, THAT'S BECAUSE WE GOT
TO OPEN UP THE INSIDE FIRST.

He holds up a wooden tool.

Alex says, THIS IS A REAMING TOOL AND IT
HAS A BLADE ON THE OUTSIDE.
AND IT KIND OF WORKS LIKE A
BACKWARDS PENCIL SHARPENER
WHERE WE JUST SCRAPE
THE INSIDE OUT
UNTIL IT CARVES OUT THE
INSIDE OF THE RING.

Alex twists the wax ring around the reaming tool.

He says, AND YOU SEE YOU GET ALL THAT COMING OFF.

Wax shavings fall off the ring.

Alex says, NOW THAT'S MUCH MORE OPEN FOR IT.

Brody says, NOW IT LOOKS LIKE IT'LL ACTUALLY FIT A FINGER.

Alex puts the ring on his pinky finger.

Brody asks, WHEN DOES THE WAX RING BECOME A METAL ONE?

Alex says, WELL, WE DON'T DO
THAT HERE.
WE HAVE TO SEND IT TO
OUR CASTING HOUSE.
THAT'S WHERE THEY HAVE BIG
VATS OF MOLTEN METAL
AND THEY POUR IT INTO
THE WAX MOLD.
WE'LL GET SOMETHING THAT
LOOKS LIKE THAT.

Alex puts a metal ring on the block. Brody picks up the ring.

Brody says, WHOA, THAT'S MORE LIKE IT. IS IT DONE YET?

Alex says, NOT QUITE YET WE JUST GOT TO POLISH IT.

Brody says, LET'S GET POLISHING!

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Upbeat music plays]

In the store, Alex flips on the motor of a polishing machine.

[Whirring]

Alex polishes the ring under protective glass.

[Metal grinding]

Brody watches Alex work. He smiles and nods.

[Metal grinding]

Alex says, ALL RIGHT, THAT'S HOW
YOU MAKE A RING.

Brody takes the ring from Alex.

He says, WHOA, SHINY.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle music plays]

Alex and Brody walk up to the work table.

Alex says, THAT WAS A LOT OF WORK.

Brody says, OH YEAH, LET'S TAKE A LOAD OFF.

He and Alex sit at the table.

Brody says, I GOTTA KNOW, WHAT MADE YOU
DECIDE THAT GOLDSMITHING
WAS FOR YOU IN THE
FIRST PLACE?

Alex says, WELL, I WAS
PRETTY LUCKY.
I GREW UP WITH IT
AROUND ME.
MY MOM'S A GOLDSMITH,
AND SHE'S THE ONE WHO
STARTED THIS COMPANY.

Brody asks, DID YOU HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO BE A GOLDSMITH?

Alex says, YEAH, I TOOK A COURSE AT
GEORGE BROWN.
I MET A LOT OF REALLY GOOD
PEOPLE IN THE FIELD.
I GOT TO PRACTICE MY SKILLS
EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I LEARNED A WHOLE BUNCH
OF NEW THINGS
THAT I APPLY EVERY
SINGLE DAY NOW.
IT HELPED ME BECOME THE
GOLDSMITH THAT I AM TODAY.

Brody says, IT MUST BE REALLY FUN.

Alex says, IT IS.
I GET TO BUILD THINGS,
WORK WITH MY HANDS,
AND I THINK THE
BEST PART IS
SEEING THE CUSTOMER'S
FACES LIGHT UP
WHEN THEY SEE THEIR
FINISHED PIECES.

Brody says, THIS IS WHAT MY FACE LOOKS LIKE WHEN IT LIGHTS UP.

He slowly smiles and raises his eyebrows.

Alex says, YEAH, THAT'S ABOUT IT.

Brody asks, WHAT WOULD YOU TELL
A KID LIKE ME
WHO WANTS TO GET INTO
GOLDSMITHING?

Alex says, DO IT.
THERE'S NOTHING
STOPPING YOU.
PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS
HAVE JEWELRY.
THEY'LL ALWAYS BE BREAKING
THEIR JEWELRY.
SO WE ALWAYS
HAVE A JOB.

Brody says, YEAH, THAT IS TRUE.

[Alex laughing]

Brody says, GOT YOUR EXAMPLE RIGHT HERE.

[Alex and Brody laughing]

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle music plays]

Near the front of the store, Brody says, I'VE GOT A QUESTION.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR HAND GOES
THROUGH A GROWTH SPURT
AND YOUR RINGS DON'T
FIT ANYMORE?

Brody raises his hand. He wears a glove of a giant hand.

Brody yelps, AHHH!

Alex says, WE CAN JUST RESIZE THE
RING FOR YOU ACTUALLY.
CARLENE CAN SHOW YOU HOW.

Alex turns toward the window where Carlene, a woman with long brown hair and glasses, works.

Carlene says, COME ON OVER HERE.

Brody says, ALRIGHT.

He walks over to Carlene.

Brody narrates, CARLENE'S ONE OF THE SHOPS
MASTERS OF METAL.

Carlene places the ring on a metal block.

She says, SO NOW WE'RE GONNA SIZE THIS
RING UP.

Brody says, I'M UP FOR IT.

Carlene says, SO I'VE MADE A CUT, AND
STRETCHED IT OUT
TO THE SIZE THAT IT'S
GOING TO BE.
AND I'VE TAKEN
MY DIVIDERS,
MEASURED OUT HOW MUCH GOLD
I NEED TO FILL THAT SPACE,
AND I'VE MARKED IT IN
THIS GOLD ROD.
SO NOW WE'RE GONNA CUT OUT
THIS LITTLE PIECE
WITH THIS SAW FRAME.

Goldsmith Carlene Darrigo saws a piece of gold off a small rod.

Carlene says, SO THERE WE GO.
SO THAT LITTLE PIECE
COMES OUT THERE.
WE'RE JUST GOING TO FIT IT
INTO THIS RING LIKE SO.

Carlene places the piece of gold in her cut space in the ring.

Carlene says, SO NOW WE HAVE TO SOLDER BOTH SIDES AND SMOOTH IT OUT.

Brody asks, WHAT IS SOLDERING?

Carlene says, SO SOLDERING IS USING
THE SAME ALLOY.
IT MELTS A LITTLE FASTER
THAN THE ACTUAL RING,
SO I'M ONLY MELTING THESE
PIECES AND NOT THE RING.
AND IT FILLS IN CRACKS,
GAPS, THAT KIND OF THING.

Carlene lights her soldering torch and waves the flame over the ring.

She says, SO THEN WE TAKE
THE TORCH,
WARM UP THE PIECE
A LITTLE BIT.

Carlene warms the metal tip of a soldering pick with the soldering flame.

She says, AND THIS METHOD IS CALLED
PICK SOLDERING.
SO I'VE BALLED UP
THE SOLDER,
PUT IT ON ONE SIDE, HEAT
THAT TILL IT FLOWS
AND FILLS THE CRACK
LIKE THAT.

The warming piece of gold begins to fill the extra space in the widened ring.

Carlene says, AND THEN WE'LL DO IT ON
THE OTHER SIDE,
HEAT IT UNTIL THE SOLDER FLOWS
AND FILLS THE CRACK.

Brody says, THAT'S SOME SOLID SOLDERING.

Carlene says, ISN'T IT? SO NOW WE'RE GONNA QUENCH IT, READY?

Carlene picks up the ring with a tool.

Brody says, YEAH.

Carlene drops the ring in a bowl of water.

[Water simmering]

[Brody gasping]

Brody says, I HEARD IT.

[Brody imitating simmering]

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle music plays]

Later in the store, Brody wears multiple necklaces and rings.

Brody says, ALL THIS JEWELRY TALK HAS GOT
ME THINKING.
HOW DID THE SKILL TRADE OF
GOLDSMITHING GET ITS START?
WELL, JOIN ME AS I EXPLORE THE
24-CARAT HISTORY OF
GOLDSMITHING.

Brody grins and wiggles his fingers.

[Gentle music plays]

Artwork shows a person melting gold over a fire.

Brody narrates, GOLDSMITHING HAS BEEN AROUND FOR
THOUSANDS OF YEARS ALL OVER
THE WORLD.
IN EUROPE, BETWEEN THE YEARS 500
TO 1400,
GOLDSMITHS MADE NOT
ONLY JEWELRY,
BUT PLATES, FORKS
AND SPOONS!

As a goldsmith, Akeylah holds up a gold plate, fork and spoon.

Brody narrates, ORIGINAL GOLDSMITHS WERE ALSO
THE FIRST TO ENGRAVE LETTERS
AND SYMBOLS INTO THEIR WORK.

Akeylah gently hammers an engraving tool and smiles.

Brody narrates, IN 1946 IN TORONTO, A GROUP OF
PEOPLE WHO LOVE METAL
CAME TOGETHER TO FORM THE METAL
ARTS GUILD OF ONTARIO,
WHERE THEY COULD SHARE
GOLDSMITHING TECHNIQUES.

In a black-and-white video, on a street, Akeylah holds a metal beaver.

Brody narrates, AND TODAY, THE GUILD IS STILL
GOING STRONG WITH MEMBERS
TALKING ABOUT AND ENJOYING EACH
OTHER'S METAL-BASED ART.

In the goldsmith shop, Brody says, WHAT DO YOU DO WITH
THE OLDER GOLD?
PIN IT UP, THROW IT OUT, GIVE
IT TO BRODY?

Brody points to himself with his thumbs.

Carlene says, WE MELT IT, LET ME SHOW YOU.

She lights her soldering torch and adjusts its heat so the flame is blue.

[Torch hissing loudly]

Brody says, OH, WHOA.

Carlene waves the torch flame over a gold ring in a crucible.

Brody says, WHOA. I WOULD SAY IT'S COOL BUT IT'S NOT.

[Carlene laughing]

Carlene says, IT HOT ISN'T IT?

She pours the now-melted gold into an iron mould.

Carlene says, AND, OH.

She picks the piece of cooling gold out of the mould with tweezers.

Carlene says, WE'RE GONNA WAIT FOR IT
TO COOL FOR A MOMENT
AND THEN WE'RE GONNA
ROLL IT INTO A ROD.

Brody asks, WHERE DO WE DO THAT?

Carlene says, RIGHT HERE WITH THE ROLLING MILL.

Brody turns a crank on a rolling mill and rolls the gold between two cylinders with indents.

[Gold clanking]

Carlene adjusts the rolling mill.

She says, A LITTLE SMALLER.

Brody turns the rolling mill crank and rolls the gold through.

[Gold clanking]

Carlene says, THERE WE GO.

Brody rolls the gold through the rolling mill twice more into the shape of a rod.

Carlene says, NOW WE HAVE A SQUARE ROD SO NOW WE'RE GONNA FLATTEN IT.

Brody and Carlene pull on the crank and roll the rod through the rolling mill.

[Brody grunting]

[Gold clanking]

Carlene says, THERE WE GO.

Brody picks up the flattened gold.

He says, YOU GOTTA BE REALLY STRONG TO BE A GOLDSMITH.

[Upbeat music plays]

At Carlene’s workstation, Carlene says, OKAY, SO NOW WE HAVE
IT THE RIGHT WIDTH.
SO WE'RE GOING TO MAKE
IT INTO A RING.
I'M GOING TO USE THIS
TOOL TO BEND IT.

Carlene bends the gold into a circle. She grabs two pairs of pliers.

Carlene says, SO I’LL TAKE A COUPLE HALF ROUND PLIERS.

Holding pliers in both hands, Carlene squeezes the ends of the ring together.

Carlene says, SO NOW WE HAVE TO
SOLDER THAT.

She solders the gold together with her soldering torch and pick.

Carlene says, AND YOU HEAT IT UNTIL THE SOLDER FLOWS AND FILLS THE CRACK. SO READY?

Brody says, YEP.

Carlene says, LISTEN.

She drops the ring into the bowl of water.

[Water simmering]

Carlene says, OKAY, SO NOW YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE IT ROUND.

Brody holds a hammer and a cone-shaped metal rod with the ring on it.

Carlene says, SO HIT IT WITH THE HAMMER.

Brody hammers the ring. Carlene holds the rod steady.

[Clanking]

Carlene says, LITTLE BIT HARDER.

Brody hammers harder.

[Clanking]

Carlene says, SO WHEN YOU HAVE IT
PERFECTLY ROUND,
THEN THIS RING GETS SANDED AND
FINISHED LIKE YOU DID BEFORE.
AND THEN IT LOOKS LIKE THIS.

Carlene gives Brody his finished gold ring.

Carlene says, SO WE JUST MADE A RING FROM SCRAP GOLD.

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle music plays]

Brody walks out of the Waterdown Goldsmith store.

Brody says, WHAT A DAY LEARNING HOW TO
BE A GOLDSMITH.
GUESS I'LL JUST HEAD BACK
TO THE –

Brody stops and frowns.

He says, WAIT A MINUTE.

Inside, Alex hangs the soldering torch on its stand. Brody runs over in his safety glasses and leather apron.

Panting, Brody says, ALEX, ALEX.

Alex says, OH BRODY, WHAT'S UP?

Brody says, I TOTALLY FORGOT I GOT
THE NECKLACE.

He pulls his necklace out of his pocket.

Brody asks, CAN YOU FIX IT?

Alex says, LET'S TAKE A LOOK.

Brody asks, IS IT GOING TO MAKE IT?

Alex looks at the necklace.

He says, I THINK SHE'LL BE JUST FINE.

Alex puts the broken link in a stand.

He says, SO LET'S GET THE BROKEN LINK IN THERE. WE'LL ATTACH ONE END HERE AND THE OTHER ONE HERE.

Alex connects the links on the necklace.

He says, NOW ALL I'VE GOT TO DO IS JUST SOLDER THAT PIECE TOGETHER.

Alex adjusts the flame on the soldering torch.

He says, LET'S MAKE THAT FLAME A LITTLE HOTTER WITH SOME OXYGEN.

Alex waves the flame over the broken necklace link.

He says, SO LET'S HEAT THAT UP. SO I GOT MY PIECE OF SOLDER.

Alex picks up a piece of solder with the solder pick and places it on the link. Alex pulls on the repaired necklace.

Alex says, AND THERE WE ARE, RIGHT AS RAIN.

He gives the necklace back to Brody.

Brody cheers, YES!

[Bright music plays]

Title: Trading Skills.

[Gentle music plays]

In the Skill Space, a phone hangs on the wall beside the door.

[Phone ringing]

Brody answers the phone.

He says, SKILL SPACE, IT'S BRODY.
OH, HI, GRANDMA.
OF COURSE.
I'M WEARING IT RIGHT NOW.
I'LL NEVER LET ANYTHING BAD
HAPPEN TO YOUR NECKLACE.

At the work table, Akeylah gives Brody a thumbs up and winks.

Brody says, ALRIGHT, BYE GRANDMA.

He hangs up the phone and joins Akeylah.

Akeylah says, SOUNDS LIKE LINKING UP
WITH THE GOLDSMITH
WAS THE RIGHT CHAIN OF EVENTS
TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

Brody says, YOU SAID IT!

Akeylah says, ONE THING IS FOR SURE, THIS
SKILL TRADE IS SOLID GOLD.
MAYBE GOLDSMITHING COULD BE THE
CROWN JEWEL OF YOUR CAREER.

Brody says, AND EVEN IF IT ISN'T,
THERE ARE STILL A TONNE OF OTHER
GEMS IN THE
WIDE WORLD OF SKILLED TRADES.
THE NEXT ONE COULD TAKE
YOU TO THE TOP.

Brody and Akeylah wave.

Together, they say, SO LONG!

[Phone ringing]

Brody says, IT'S GOTTA BE GRANNY.

He walks toward the phone.

[Cheerful music continues]
