Daniel walks in the studio.
Daniel is in his twenties, with short curly brown hair and wears glasses, jeans, and a blue and gray TVO Kids T-shirt hooded sweatshirt.
He says WELCOME TO
TVO K NEWS,
I'M YOUR NEWS ANCHOR, DANIEL,
AND HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING.
On a screen behind him appears a picture of a dinosaur footprint with the caption "Dino footprint found."
(DINOSAUR GROWLING)
Daniel says ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT,
OUR TOP STORY.
RARE DINOSAUR FOOTPRINTS
HAVE BEEN FOUND ON THE
SMALL ISLAND OF SKYE
IN SCOTLAND
THIS FOSSILIZED FOOTPRINT
SHOWS THE OUTLINES OF
SAUROPOD'S TOES, AND YOU CAN
EVEN SEE THE TEXTURE
OF THE FLESHY HEEL PAD.
(DINOSAUR GROWLING IN DISTANCE)
Daniel says OKAY, I WAS JUST GETTING
TO THAT.
A SAUROPOD WAS A DINOSAUR
THAT A VERY LONG NECK,
LONG TAIL, SMALL HEAD,
AND FOUR MASSIVELY THICK LEGS.
(DINOSAUR GROWLING)
Daniel says EXACTLY!
DINOSAURS LIKE THE
BRACHIOSAURUS, THE BRONTOSAURUS,
THE DIPLODOCUS,
AND THE APATOSAURUS.
Pictures of the four dinosaur species appear on the screen.
Daniel says ONE OF THE FOOTPRINTS FOUND WAS
AS BIG AS A CAR TIRE,
AND RESEARCHERS BELIEVED IT
BELONGED TO A SAUROPOD,
WHICH WEIGHED OVER TEN TONNES,
AND WAS 15 METRES IN LENGTH.
SAUROPODS WERE CONSIDERED THE
LARGEST ANIMALS TO HAVE
EVER LIVED ON LAND, AND ACTUALLY
WALKED THROUGH THE LAGOONS
OF WHAT IS NOW ENGLAND, WALES,
IRELAND, AND SCOTLAND.
AND NOW, SCIENTISTS ARE
BEGINNING TO THINK THAT
SAUROPODS PREFERRED A
LAGOON ENVIRONMENT.
BLOWS MY MIND!
THAT WAS ALMOST
174 MILLION YEARS AGO.
WE RARELY FIND FOSSILS THIS OLD.
SO, IT LOOKS LIKE THE ISLE OF
SKYE IS GOING TO BE A
GREAT PLACE TO LEARN NEW THINGS
ABOUT ANCIENT HISTORY.
(DINOSAUR GROWLING)
Daniel says OKAY, OKAY,
HOLD YOUR DINOSAUR,
IT'S COMING UP NEXT.
STAY TUNED FOR
TVO K NEWS
FEATURES COMING UP NEXT.
DINOSAURS NEED TO WORK ON
THEIR PATIENCE.
(DINOSAUR GROWLING DEEPLY)
Daniel says YEESH.
OKAY, I'M SORRY.
