[Magical music plays]
In an animation, the sun shines brightly over a field of dandelions. A guinea pig with long brown fur frolics through the grass. In live action, the guinea pig rests in their hutch, a large wooden cage on posts in the Sawdust family’s backyard. Mister and Missus Sawdust stand by a gate in the fence and Karen, a girl with her long brown hair in braided pigtails, runs up to the guinea pig’s hutch with a kite.
[Guinea pig squeaking]
[Cheerful music plays]
The guinea pig sings, I'M A GUINEA PIG SENSATION, WITH A GREAT IMAGINATION. I'M OLGA DA POLGA, THAT'S ME!
Facing Olga’s hutch, Noel, a black cat, lies on the grass with Graham, a tortoise, and Fangio, a hedgehog. Mrs. Sawdust trims a bush. Mr. Sawdust builds a pen. Karen skips across the yard. Olga scratches her ear. Noel swats at Olga from the roof of her hutch.
At the backdoor of the Sawdust’s house, Karen says, BREAKFAST, OLGA!
Olga sings, MY HEAD IS FULL OF STORIES, OF DERRING-DO AND GLORIES, SO GATHER 'ROUND, AND LISTEN TO ME!

Title: Olga da Polga. Based on the books by Michael Bond.
[Gentle music plays]
In live-action, in the Sawdust family’s backyard, Karen cleans out hay in the bedroom of Olga’s hutch with a hand broom and dustpan. Karen wears her long, dark brown hair in braided pigtails, a red jacket over her school uniform, and a grey dress over a yellow polo shirt.
[Birds chirping]
Karen dumps hay from the dustpan into a large bucket. She looks at Olga through the clear window on the other side of the hutch. The episode title reads, “You Know Where.”
Olga narrates, EVERY MORNING, MY ROUTINE IS THE SAME.
Mr. Sawdust steps outside with a coffee mug and a salad bowl. He has short, dark grey hair and a thick grey beard. He wears a red plaid button-down shirt over a blue T-shirt.
Olga narrates, MR. SAWDUST PREPARES MY BREAKFAST.
Mr. Sawdust closes the door behind him and balances the salad bowl on the railing.
Olga narrates, YUMMY! AND KAREN CLEANS MY HUTCH.
Karen dumps more hay into the bucket.
She says, THERE YOU GO, OLGA. NICE AND CLEAN!
Olga narrates, BUT THERE WAS ONE TIME IT ALL CHANGED.
Mr. Sawdust sips his coffee.
Olga narrates, THE TIME I WENT TO A PLACE CALLED "YOU KNOW WHERE".
[Birds chirping]
A bird flies out of a birdhouse hanging on the back fence. The wind gently blows branches behind the fence. In a live-action flashback, Olga lies in a pet bed on a counter in the Sawdust’s kitchen. Karen gently strokes her fur. Karen wears her purple overalls over a pink long-sleeved shirt with orange polka dots. Mr. Sawdust searches a cupboard beside the sink.
[Olga quietly squeaking]
Olga narrates, THAT DAY, KAREN HAD BROUGHT ME INTO THE HOUSE AND WAS GIVING ME VERY SPECIAL TREATMENT.
Karen says, OH, OLGA. I'M GOING TO MISS YOU.
Olga narrates, I MISSED KAREN TOO WHEN SHE WASN'T AROUND. BUT I WASN'T THAT FAR AWAY. I WAS ONLY OUTSIDE IN THE GARDEN.
Mrs. Sawdust walks in. She has long, light brown hair and a light green long-sleeved shirt.
Mrs. Sawdust says, I'VE GOT THE PASSPORTS.
Mr. Sawdust says, AND I'VE FOUND THE SUN CREAM.
He pulls a bottle of sunscreen out of a basket.
Mr. Sawdust says, FACTOR 50!
Mrs. Sawdust says, I THINK THAT'S IT THEN. I HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY IN THE MORNING TO DROP OFF NOEL AND TAKE OLGA TO "YOU KNOW WHERE".
She and Mr. Sawdust glance at Olga.
Mr. Sawdust says, YEAH.
Olga narrates, "YOU KNOW WHERE"? WHERE IS THAT? AND WHY WERE THEY TAKING ME THERE?
[Olga squeaking]
[Gentle music plays]
Outside, the sun shines brightly over the backyard. In her hutch, Olga scurries over to a pile of grass and a piece of carrot.
Olga narrates, I WAS STILL THINKING ABOUT IT LATER THAT DAY.
Noel runs up the small hill facing Olga’s hutch.
Noel says, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? THERE'S A BIT OF CARROT LEFT. NORMALLY, YOU SCOFF THE WHOLE LOT.
Out loud, Olga says, SOMETHING'S GOING ON. THE SAWDUSTS SAY THEY'RE DROPPING YOU OFF AND TAKING ME TO SOMEWHERE CALLED…
She whispers, … "YOU KNOW WHERE".
Noel says, OH, DIDN'T YOU KNOW? THE FAMILY ARE GOING AWAY TO THE SEASIDE TOMORROW FOR TWO WEEKS.
Olga nibbles on a dandelion leaf.
She narrates, WELL, I WAS SHOCKED. THE SAWDUST FAMILY WERE GOING AWAY FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS?
Out loud, Olga asks, AND THEY'RE NOT TAKING ME WITH THEM?
Noel says, THEY'RE NOT TAKING ANY OF US. THEY DO IT EVERY YEAR. IT'S CALLED A HOLIDAY.
He looks over his shoulder. Fangio lies on a pile of dry leaves and raises his snout.
Fangio says, HM? HUH?
Noel says, FANGIO AND GRAHAM HAVE SOMEONE COMING OVER TO FEED THEM.
Graham lies on a pile of hay in his hutch.
[Graham yawning]
Noel says, I'M GOING TO THE BAHAMAS.
Olga asks, WHERE'S THE BAHAMAS?
Noel says, JUST UP THE ROAD. IT'S A NICE PLACE. I MEET UP WITH A FEW OLD CAT FRIENDS THAT GO THERE EVERY YEAR.
Olga narrates, WELL, I DIDN'T LIKE THE SOUND OF THE BAHAMAS. I COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING WORSE THAN SPENDING TIME WITH MORE CATS.
Noel lies in a patch of sun on the hill.
Out loud, Olga asks, SO, WHERE IS "YOU KNOW WHERE"?
Noel says, I THINK IT'S FAR AWAY IN A COUNTRY CALLED FRANCE. I OVERHEARD THE FAMILY SAY THAT THEY HAD TO POP INTO THE DELICATESSEN ON THE WAY BACK. THAT'S A WORD FOR A FRENCH GROCERY SHOP, YOU KNOW.
Olga narrates, FRANCE? I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE. I HOPED IT WAS NICE.
She stuffs her cheeks with blades of grass. Elsewhere in town, the Sawdusts drive down a street. Karen rides in the back seat with Olga in her pet carrier.
Olga narrates, NEXT MORNING, FRANCE SEEMED A LONG WAY AWAY.
She nestles into a pile of hay on top of a blanket.
Olga narrates, I BURIED MYSELF IN THE HAY NOT KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN.
Mr. Sawdust glances toward Olga. Karen pushes a dandelion leaf through the bars of Olga’s carrier.
Karen says, HERE WE GO, OLGA.
Olga narrates, ALTHOUGH, KAREN HAD BROUGHT SOME FOOD, WHICH HELPED TO TAKE MY MIND OFF THINGS.
Mr. Sawdust wiggles his finger at Olga.
Karen says, I HOPE OLGA WILL BE OKAY.
Mr. Sawdust says, OH, OF COURSE, SHE WILL BE. MR. GEE IS VERY GOOD WITH SMALL ANIMALS.
Karen says, AND OLGA, IT'S OKAY. YOU'RE GONNA SEE ME IN TWO WEEKS.
Mrs. Sawdust continues driving through a town in the countryside. She stops and parks the car.
[Gentle, dramatic music plays]
Mr. Sawdust says, WE'RE HERE.
Olga narrates, I WAS SURPRISED. FOR "YOU KNOW WHERE" BEING SO FAR AWAY, WE GOT THERE VERY QUICKLY.
Mister and Missus Sawdust unclip their seatbelts.
[Clicking]
Karen says, LET'S GO, OLGA!
[Light, cheerful music plays]
[Car door opening and closing]
Olga narrates, OH!
Mr. Sawdust carries Olga up a ramp in her pet carrier. Karen and Mrs. Sawdust follow him to the Happy Small Animal Hotel. Inside, Mr. Sawdust looks around. He walks to a front desk and carefully sets Olga’s carrier on the counter. He taps a bell.
[Bell ringing]
A man with short black hair, Mr. Gee, pops up from behind the desk and places his hand over the bell. He wears a burgundy long-sleeved sweater over a white button-down shirt.
Mr. Sawdust says, OH, HELLO! WE'RE BOOKING IN OUR GUINEA PIG, OLGA DA POLGA.
Mr. Gee says, AH, YES! OLGA DA POLGA!
He looks at Olga inside the carrier.
Mr. Gee says, WE'VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU.
Olga narrates, SO, THIS IS WHAT FRANCE LOOKED LIKE. VERY NICE.
Mr. Gee says, WE'VE GOT YOUR BED ALL READY WITH LOTS OF HAY AND SOME TREATS.
Olga narrates, TREATS? TREATS! WELL, I LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT VERY MUCH INDEED.
Mr. Gee says, DON'T YOU WORRY. WE'RE GOING TO TAKE EXTRA SPECIAL CARE OF HER.
He turns the carrier toward Karen.
Karen says, THANK YOU.
Mr. Sawdust says, BYE, OLGA.
Mrs. Sawdust says, YOU BE GOOD NOW.
Olga narrates, I WAS ALWAYS GOOD.
Karen says, SEE YOU IN TWO WEEKS, OLGA.
She waves and turns away from Olga.
Olga narrates, UH…
[Olga squeaking]
[Sad music plays]
Olga watches the Sawdusts walk away. The Sawdusts pause at the door and turn toward Olga.
[Olga squeaking]
The Sawdusts wave.
Olga narrates, THAT'S WHEN IT HIT ME. TWO WHOLE WEEKS WITHOUT KAREN.
The Sawdusts leave. Mr. Sawdust closes the door behind him.
[Door banging]
[Olga squeaking]
Mr. Gee picks up Olga’s carrier.
He says, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME HERE, OLGA. STARTING WITH A BIT OF VERY SPECIAL PAMPERING.
Olga narrates, OH?
[Relaxing music plays]
Elsewhere in the animal hotel, Mr. Gee grabs a comb off a tray of grooming supplies. He passes the comb to a woman wearing green scrubs. The woman, a groomer, combs Olga’s fur.
Olga narrates, OH.
Mr. Gee returns the comb to the tray and grabs a brush. The groomer brushes Olga.
Olga narrates, OH!
The groomer trims Olga’s nails.
[Snipping]
[Olga gasping]
Olga narrates, OH, OH!
Mr. Gee asks, NOW, WHAT DO YOU THINK, OLGA?
Olga narrates, DESPITE ALL THE FUSS, I HAD TO ADMIT, I FELT VERY GOOD.
The groomer places Olga in a pen on a table.
Mr. Gee says, AND NOW, FOR A TREAT.
He puts a dandelion leaf in Olga’s pen.
Olga narrates, I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK I MIGHT LIKE BEING IN "YOU KNOW WHERE" AFTER ALL…
Mr. Gee washes his hands in a sink on the other side of the room.
[Water running]
Olga narrates, …WHEN I NOTICED THEM.
Hay covers the floor of multiple other guinea pig pens with guinea pig houses and water bottles.
Olga narrates, STRANGE CREATURES WATCHING MY EVERY NIBBLE.
A dark brown guinea pig with brown fur on its nose stands beside a dark brown guinea pig with white fur on its nose. A guinea pig with long black and white fur nibbles on a dandelion leaf.
[Guinea pigs squeaking]
Olga narrates, BLACK ONES, BROWN ONES, GREY ONES, WHITE ONES.
A guinea pig with grey and white fur puts its paws on the bars of its pen. A black guinea pig with white fur on its face lies in a wooden house.
Olga wonders, WHAT WERE THEY?
[Olga squeaking]
Mr. Gee dries his hands.
He turns and says, OH! AH! I SEE YOU'VE NOTICED THE OTHER GUINEA PIGS YOU'LL BE STAYING WITH.
Mr. Gee walks over to the pens.
He says, THEY'RE ON THEIR HOLIDAYS, TOO!
[Guinea pigs squeaking]
Olga narrates, THEY WERE GUINEA PIGS? BUT THEY LOOKED SO DIFFERENT!
Mr. Gee says, WE'VE HARDLY TWO GUINEA PIGS THE SAME HERE AT THE MOMENT.
He points toward the grey and white guinea pig and the black guinea pig with white fur on its face.
Mr. Gee says, AMERICAN.
He turns toward the dark brown guinea pigs. A name tag on their pen reads, “Pip and Pop.”
Mr. Gee says, ABYSSINIAN.
He walks over to the black and white guinea pig. The guinea pig’s name tag reads, “Ninja.”
Mr. Gee says, PERUVIAN!
Olga narrates, AND THEY WERE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD!
[Guinea pigs squeaking]
Mr. Gee says, NOW, LATER ON, WE'LL GET YOU OUTSIDE FOR YOUR RUN. THAT—
[Bell ringing]
Mr. Gee says, OH! THAT'LL BE THE NEXT ARRIVAL. I'LL LEAVE YOU TO MAKE FRIENDS.
He leaves.
[Guinea pigs squeaking]
Ninja asks, WHO ARE YOU?
The Abyssinian guinea pig with white fur on its nose says, WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU BEFORE.
Olga narrates, WITH ALL EYES ON ME, I THOUGHT OF THE FIRST THING THAT CAME INTO MY HEAD.
Out loud, Olga says, MY NAME IS OLGA DA POLGA AND I'M RUSSIAN.
Ninja says, A RUSSIAN GUINEA PIG? I HAVEN'T HEARD OF ONE OF THOSE BEFORE.
Olga says, WELL, WE'RE VERY, VERY RARE. WE'RE FROM A LONG LINE OF GUINEA PIGS WHO DANCED FOR THE RUSSIAN ROYAL FAMILY.
[Abyssinian guinea pig with white fur on its nose scoffing]
The Abyssinian guinea pig with white fur on its nose says, GUINEA PIGS CAN'T DANCE. OUR LEGS ARE TOO SHORT.
[Abyssinian guinea pigs giggling]
[Guinea pig yawning]
Olga says, WELL, THEY MIGHT BE NOW, BUT THEY WEREN'T ALWAYS. NOT A VERY, VERY LONG TIME AGO.
[Intense music plays]
In an animated story, a guinea pig with light brown fur wears a grey hat.
Olga narrates, BACK THEN, GUINEA PIGS HAD VERY LONG LEGS AND THEY HAD A SPECIAL GIFT – DANCING!
On a stage, the light brown guinea pig stands between two other guinea pigs wearing matching grey hats. The guinea pigs all have long legs and wear white shirts and red pants.
[Gentle music plays]
The guinea pigs start dancing.
Olga narrates, THEY LIVED IN THE ROYAL PALACE AND EVERY DAY, THEY DANCED.
The dancing guinea pigs perform outside a palace.
Olga narrates, ONE DAY, THE GUINEA PIGS PUT ON A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE.
[Quick, upbeat music plays]
The dancing guinea pigs perform a folk dance on a stage.
Olga narrates, THE AUDIENCE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT!
The light brown guinea pig spins on one foot. The other two guinea pigs crouch, cross their arms, and kick their feet.
[Audience cheering]
An audience member chants, MORE! MORE!
Members of the audience throw flower bouquets onto the stage.
Olga narrates, THE MORE THE AUDIENCE CHEERED, THE FASTER THE MUSIC WENT AND THE FASTER THE MUSIC WENT, THE FASTER THE GUINEA PIGS DANCED.
[Music plays faster]
The dancing guinea pigs spin and kick their feet faster.
Olga narrates, UNTIL ALL THE DANCING WORE THEIR LEGS DOWN RIGHT TO THE GROUND.
The dancing guinea pigs stand on short legs. They look at each other in surprise and the story ends.
In the live-action flashback, a guinea pig cheers, WHOO!
One of the guinea pigs says, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!
Another says, THAT'S AMAZING.
A third says, OH, WOW!
A fourth says, THAT WAS GREAT!
A fifth says, BRAVO.
The American guinea pig with white fur asks, DIDN'T IT HURT?
Olga says, NO, NOT AT ALL.
Ninja asks, COULD THEY STILL DANCE?
Olga says, OH, YES. EVEN BETTER.
The Abyssinian guinea pig with white fur on its nose asks, DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER STORIES, OLGA?
Olga says, UH, I MIGHT HAVE A FEW.
An Abyssinian guinea pig lying on a bed says, TELL US!
The Abyssinian guinea pig with white fur on its nose says, YES, PLEASE DO.
Olga says, WELL…
[Light, cheerful music plays]
Olga narrates, SO, FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS, I GOT TO TELL TALES ALL DAY LONG.
[Guinea pigs squeaking]
Olga narrates, IT WAS PERFECT!

Olga narrates, AND BEFORE I KNEW IT, I WAS HOME!
She stands in per hutch facing Noel.
Noel asks, SO, HOW WAS "YOU KNOW WHERE"?
Olga says, VERY GOOD. I MADE LOTS OF FRIENDS IN FRANCE AND THEY APPRECIATED MY STORIES UNLIKE SOME CATS I KNOW.
Noel says, HMM.
Olga asks, HOW WAS THE BAHAMAS?
Noel says, GOOD, BUT… IT'S NICE TO BE BACK.
Olga nibbles on a blade of grass.
She narrates, AND EVEN THOUGH I WOULDN'T ADMIT IT, I WAS QUITE PLEASED TO SEE NOEL, TOO.
Olga nibbles another blade of grass. In the present, Mr. Sawdust joins Karin and kneels beside Olga’s hutch with the salad bowl. Karen closes the wooden door, and Mr. Sawdust opens Olga’s clear door.
Mr. Sawdust says, OH, BREAKFAST IS SERVED, MADAME!
He drops pieces of carrot into Olga’s food bowl. Karen smiles.
[Mr. Sawdust chuckling]
From close by, Mrs. Sawdust says, HURRY UP, KAREN!
She stands by the gate in her blue suit and green and pink scarf with Karen’s backpack.
Karen says, BYE, DAD! SEE YOU WHEN I GET HOME FROM SCHOOL, OLGA.
Olga nibbles on a blade of grass. Mr. Sawdust closes her door. At the gate, Mrs. Sawdust helps Karen put on her backpack. Karen twirls.
Mrs. Sawdust laughs, OH!
She leaves with Karen.
Olga narrates, YES, "YOU KNOW WHERE" WAS VERY NICE, BUT IT'S EVEN NICER TO GET BACK TO MY USUAL ROUTINE.

[Gentle music plays]
In the Sawdust family’s backyard, a butterfly perches on a purple flower. Graham walks across the yard.
[Graham humming]
Fangio walks around a box vegetable garden.
[Fangio humming]
[Fangio sniffing]
Noel lies on the hill facing Olga’s hutch.
[Playful music plays]
