[Magical music plays]

In an animation, the sun shines brightly over a field of dandelions. A guinea pig with long brown fur frolics through the grass. In live action, the guinea pig rests in their hutch, a large wooden cage on posts in the Sawdust family’s backyard. Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust stand by a gate in the fence, and Karen, a girl with long brown hair in braided pigtails, runs up to the hutch with a kite.

[Guinea pig squeaking]

[Cheerful music plays]

The guinea pig sings, I'M A GUINEA PIG SENSATION WITH A GREAT IMAGINATION. I'M OLGA DA POLGA, THAT'S ME!

Facing the guinea hutch, Noel, a black cat, lies on a small grassy hill with Graham, a small tortoise, and Fangio, a hedgehog. Mrs. Sawdust trims a bush. Mr. Sawdust builds a pen. Karen skips across the yard. Olga nibbles on a blade of grass beside Daisy, a black and white guinea pig. Noel swats at Olga from the roof of the hutch.

At the back door of the Sawdust’s house, Karen says, OLGA! DAISY! SNACKS!

Olga sings, MY HEAD IS FULL OF STORIES, OF DERRING-DO AND GLORIES, SO GATHER 'ROUND, AND LISTEN TO ME!

In animations, guinea pigs face a fire-breathing dragon, stand on a podium with first-place medals and look up at a princess locked in a castle.

A crowd cheers, HOORAY!

In live-action, Graham says, AMAZING.

Noel says, RIDICULOUS!

Fangio says, INTERESTING!

Daisy says, OH!

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Karen and her parents smile at Olga in the hutch. In the house, they pet Olga. In the backyard, Karen puts a carrot in Olga’s food bowl.

Olga sings, OLGA DA POLGA, THAT'S ME!

[Olga squeaking]

Title: Olga da Polga. Based on the books by Michael Bond.

[Gentle music plays]

In live action, in the present, a bird perches on a tree. The episode title reads, “Olga Geta a Roommate.” The sun shines over the hutch in the Sawdust family’s backyard.

Olga narrates, BEING NO ORDINARY GUINEA PIG, I HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS.

She nibbles on a piece of hay near the food dish. In his hutch, Graham lies on a pile of hay.

[Graham yawning]

Olga narrates, MY ANIMAL FRIENDS...

Fangio climbs out of a compost heap in a corner of the yard.

He sings, ROO-DOO BA-DA.

Noel lies in the sun on the grassy hill facing the hutch.

Noel says, HMM.

Olga continues, ...KAREN AND MY SAWDUST FAMILY...

She watches Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust play catch with Karen. Karen catches the ball.

Mrs. Sawdust cheers, YAY!

Karen throws the ball to Mr. Sawdust.

Olga narrates, ...AND RECENTLY I GOT A NEW FRIEND.

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

A bee flies away from a purple flower in the yard. Fangio wanders around a potted plant near the stone half-wall.

Fangio sings, ROO-DOO BA-DA.

Olga narrates, IT ALL STARTED AS A NORMAL MORNING. AS I WAS NIBBLING ON MY BREAKFAST, KAREN WAS GETTING READY TO GO TO SCHOOL.

In a live-action flashback, Olga nibbles on a blade of grass. In the house, in the kitchen, Mr. Sawdust passes Karen a lunch container. Mr. Sawdust has short, dark grey hair and a thick, grey beard. He wears a red plaid, button-down shirt over a blue T-shirt.

Karen says, THANKS, DAD.

She puts the container on the kitchen island and grabs her backpack. Karen wears her long brown hair in braided pigtails, a red jacket over her school uniform, and a grey dress over a yellow polo shirt. Mrs. Sawdust walks up to the counter.

Mrs. Sawdust says, RIGHT, LET'S GET GOING.

She has long, light brown hair and wears a beige trench coat over her blue blazer and green and pink scarf. Mrs. Sawdust grabs her purse and walks toward the back door.

Alone with Mr. Sawdust, Mrs. Sawdust asks, HAVE YOU GOT EVERYTHING READY?

Mr. Sawdust grabs Olga’s pet carrier.

Whispering, he says, OPERATION LITTLE WHISKERS IS A GO.

Mrs. Sawdust says, OH, SHE'S GOING TO BE SO SURPRISED!

From outside, Karen asks, WHO'S GOING TO BE SURPRISED?

Mr. Sawdust puts the pet carrier on the counter behind him.

He says, UH, YOU, BY MY, UM...

Karen walks into the kitchen and tilts her head.

Mr. Sawdust says, INCREDIBLE DANCE MOVES.

He does the robot dance.

[Mr. Sawdust humming a tune]

Mr. Sawdust says, I'M A ROBOT!

[Karen giggling]

[Mrs. Sawdust chuckling]

Mr. Sawdust wiggles and swings his arms.

[Karen and Mrs. Sawdust laughing]

Mrs. Sawdust turns Karen toward the door, and they both leave. Mr. Sawdust stops dancing.

[Mr. Sawdust sighing]

Mr. Sawdust grabs the pet carrier off the counter.

[Gentle music plays]

In the backyard, Graham nibbles on a piece of lettuce.

[Graham munching]

Graham says, YUM.

Mrs. Sawdust opens the gate in the fence, and Karen runs through into the driveway. Mrs. Sawdust follows and closes the gate behind her.

[Gate clicking shut]

Mr. Sawdust sneaks up to the gate with the pet carrier. He peeks over the fence and watches Karen and Mrs. Sawdust walk away. In the hutch, Olga nibbles on a blade of grass. Mr. Sawdust walks over and puts down the pet carrier. He glances over his shoulder toward the fence.

[Mr. Sawdust chuckling]

Mr. Sawdust says, OH! YOU'RE GOING TO GET A VERY BIG SURPRISE TODAY, OLGA.

Olga narrates, OOH! I LOVED SURPRISES, ESPECIALLY IF THEY INVOLVED CARROTS.

Mr. Sawdust says, YOU'RE GETTING A ROOMMATE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?

Olga narrates, I WOULD HAVE REPLIED, ONLY I WASN'T QUITE SURE WHAT A ROOMMATE WAS.

Mr. Sawdust says, YOU GUINEA PIGS ARE VERY SOCIABLE WEE CREATURES, AND WE CAN'T HAVE YOU ON YOUR OWN.

Olga narrates, WELL, OF COURSE WE WERE SOCIABLE, BUT ANOTHER GUINEA PIG IN MY BED, SHARING MY GRASS?!

[Olga squeaking]

[Mr. Sawdust laughing]

Mr. Sawdust says, I KNEW YOU'D BE EXCITED! I'M GOING TO GET HER RIGHT NOW. SHE'S A REAL STAR.

Olga narrates, WELL... THAT WAS A DIFFERENT MATTER. A REAL STAR WAS COMING TO LIVE WITH ME, AND I COULD HARDLY WAIT TO TELL EVERYONE.

Olga scurries across the hutch. She stands against the metal grate wall of the hutch.

Olga calls out, NOEL? FANGIO!

Fangio lies in a pile of grass and dry leaves.

[Fangio humming]

Olga says, YOO-HOO!

Noel walks up the grassy hill in front of the hutch.

[Noel sighing]

Noel asks, WHAT IS IT NOW?

Fangio wanders out from between two raised garden beds and toward Graham’s hutch.

[Fangio humming]

Olga says, I HAVE SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS.

She stands by her food bowl.

Noel says, GO ON, THEN, TELL US.

Olga says, I'M GETTING A ROOMMATE! A GUINEA PIG FRIEND.

Noel says, GREAT. DOUBLE THE ANNOYING "WEE-WEE-WEES".

He lies in the sun on the hill.

Olga says, AND SHE'S NOT JUST ANY NORMAL GUINEA PIG. SHE'S A REAL STAR.

Graham strolls across the grass.

[Graham humming]

Olga says, A BIT LIKE MYSELF.

Graham says, I LIKE THE STARS.

Olga says, NOT A STAR IN THE SKY, GRAHAM. A MOVIE STAR!

Noel says, UGH, I'VE WATCHED LOTS OF SAWDUST T.V., AND I'VE NEVER SEEN A GUINEA PIG MOVIE STAR IN ALL MY NINE LIVES.

Olga says, WELL, OBVIOUSLY, YOU'VE NOT WATCHED THE G.P.C. THAT STANDS FOR THE GUINEA PIG CHANNEL.

Olga looks out the clear door toward Noel, Graham and Fangio.

Olga says, HER NAME IS... IS...

Graham’s gaze shifts toward a patch of daisies in the yard.

Olga says, DAISY... LA SQUEAK!

Graham says, OOH, I THINK I'VE HEARD OF HER.

Olga says, WELL, YOU WOULD. SHE'S VERY FAMOUS.

[Magical music plays]

In an animated story, a white guinea pig with a patch of black fur over the right side of their head lounges on a mansion rooftop beside a pool. The guinea pig lies on a lounge chair under a beach umbrella, wearing sunglasses and a towel wrapped around its head.

[Upbeat music plays]

Olga narrates, SHE LIVES IN THE GUINEA PIG HILLS, IN A BIG MANSION, AND GETS SERVED DANDELION LEAVES ON SILVER PLATES.

A brown guinea pig serves the black and white guinea pig, Daisy La Squeak, dandelion leaves on a silver plate.

[Daisy munching on the leaf]

Olga narrates, EVERY MORNING, SHE HAS SOMEONE TO TRIM HER NAILS, AND GROOM HER SILKY FUR.

Daisy sits at a vanity. One guinea pig files her nails and sprays perfume while another combs her fur.

[Humming]

Olga adds, AND TO DRESS HER UP IN FANCY OUTFITS FOR ALL THE BIG AWARDS CEREMONIES.

A guinea pig stylist pulls outfits out of Daisy’s closet. Daisy frowns and crosses her arms. She shakes her head.

[Guinea pig stylist chittering]

The guinea pig stylist pulls out a blue dress with carrots hanging off it, and Daisy smiles. At night, at an event, the stars shine over a long white limo.

A photographer says, DAISY LA SQUEAK, OVER HERE!

[Cheering and whistling]

A second photographer says, GIVE US A SMILE, DAISY!

Olga narrates, SHE'S THE MOST FAMOUS GUINEA PIG MOVIE STAR IN THE WORLD.

[Cameras clicking]

The limo stops at a red carpet with guinea pig photographers on either side, and Daisy steps out wearing the blue carrot dress and sunglasses.

A third photographer says, GIVE US A SMILE!

The second photographer says, OVER HERE! DAISY LA SQUEAK!

The first photographer says, SMILE, DAISY!

Daisy waves to the guinea pig photographers.

The second photographer says, GIVE US A SMILE, DAISY!

The first photographer says, COME ON!

[Cameras clicking]

The story ends.

In the live-action flashback, Graham says, AMAZING.

Fangio says INTERESTING.

Noel asks, WHY DOES SHE WANT TO COME HERE THEN?

Olga says, PARDON?

Noel says, IF SHE'S REALLY A STAR, THEN SHE'LL BE DISAPPOINTED LIVING IN YOUR HUTCH.

He flicks his tail.

Olga narrates, ALTHOUGH, I DIDN'T WANT TO ADMIT IT, NOEL HAD A POINT.

Out loud, she says, I HAVE NO TIME TO TALK! I HAVE TO GET MY HUTCH READY.

Olga runs away from her food bowl.

[Gentle music plays]

In town, three cyclists coast down a street.

[Bicycle bell ringing]

Outside the Little Whiskers Animal Home, Mr. Sawdust holds up the pet carrier.

[Mr. Sawdust chuckling]

Into the pet carrier, Mr. Sawdust says, TIME TO TAKE YOU HOME TO MEET YOUR NEW FRIEND.

He walks away. In the Sawdust family’s backyard, the wind gently blows squares of colourful fabric against the back fence. In Olga’s hutch, a grid panel separates Olga from the main entrance. In the main entrance, hay fills a guinea pig hideaway.

Olga narrates, I WAS ADMIRING MY HUTCH AND MAKING SURE I WAS LOOKING MY BEST, WHEN...

Mr. Sawdust walks through the gate into the backyard with the pet carrier.

[Gate creaking]

Olga nibbles on a blade of grass. Mr. Sawdust closes the gate and holds up the pet carrier.

Mr. Sawdust says, WE'RE BACK!

He walks toward the hutch.

Olga narrates, I COULD HARDLY WAIT TO SAY HELLO TO THE V.I.P. THAT MEANS 'VERY IMPORTANT PIGGY'.

Mr. Sawdust crouches in front of the hutch and holds up the pet carrier.

Mr. Sawdust says, THIS IS OLGA. THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR NEW HOME.

Olga narrates, MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS SHE DIDN'T LOOK LIKE A REAL STAR, BUT MAYBE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE RECOGNIZED.

Mr. Sawdust holds the open pet carrier to the hutch's open door, and a black-and-white guinea pig that looks like Daisy La Squeak climbs out. Mr. Sawdust closes the door. The guinea pig scurries away and lies in a pile of hay in the hideaway.

Mr. Sawdust says, LOOK, I MADE YOU A SPECIAL AREA, JUST FOR A WEE WHILE, TILL YOU GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER.

The black and white guinea pig turns toward Olga. Mr. Sawdust walks back to the house with the pet carrier.

Olga says, YOU MUST BE VERY HUNGRY AFTER ALL THAT TRAVELLING. WOULD YOU LIKE SOME FRESH GRASS?

The black and white guinea pig lies behind the pile of hay in the hideaway.

Olga says, OR MAYBE YOU'D RATHER LOOK AROUND YOUR NEW HOME. IT'S NOT A MANSION, BUT IT'S VERY COSY.

[Quiet guinea pig squeaks]

Olga narrates, OH. I WAS GETTING A HORRIBLE FEELING THAT NOEL MIGHT BE RIGHT. MAYBE MY NEW ROOMMATE WAS DISAPPOINTED. MAYBE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE FRIENDS.

The black and white guinea pig nibbles on a blade of grass in the hideaway.

[Gentle music plays]

The wind gently blows leaves on a plant near the back fence. Noel lies in the sun on the stone half-wall behind the park bench.

Noel sighs, HMM.

Mr. Sawdust stands in the yard with his arms crossed. The gate opens, and he drops his arms and smiles. Karen walks through the gate with Mrs. Sawdust.

[Gate creaking]

Karen says, HELLO.

Mrs. Sawdust puts her purse and Karen’s backpack on the grass.

Mr. Sawdust asks, ARE YOU READY FOR A SURPRISE?

Mrs. Sawdust grins.

Karen says, A SURPRISE?

Mrs. Sawdust says, CLOSE YOUR EYES.

Karen closes her eyes.

[Karen giggling]

Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust hold Karen’s hands.

Karen asks, WHAT IS IT?

Mr. Sawdust says, YOU'LL SEE.

[Karen giggling]

Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust walk toward the hutch with Karen between them. Near the stone wall, Fangio sniffs around a row of potted plants.

[Fangio sniffing and singing]

Near a tree, Graham wanders alongside a leafy plant.

[Graham humming]

Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust walk over the small grassy hill and down to the hutch.

Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust quietly say, SURPRISE!

They crouch in front of the hutch with Karen, and Karen opens her eyes. Karen looks in the hutch. In the hideaway, the black-and-white guinea pig turns around in its pile of hay.

[Rustling]

[Karen gasping]

Karen says, OH, IT'S ANOTHER GUINEA PIG!

Mr. Sawdust says, YEAH, SHE'S FROM THE LITTLE WHISKERS ANIMAL HOME.

Olga narrates, NOW, I WAS EVEN MORE CONFUSED. THAT'S WHERE I WAS FROM!

She nibbles on grass from a food bowl on her side of the hutch.

Olga narrates, ALTHOUGH IT WAS NICE, IT WAS HARDLY A MANSION.

Mrs. Sawdust says, YEAH, SHE'S A RESCUE, AND SHE REALLY NEEDED A NEW HOME.

Mr. Sawdust says, AND SHE'S THE PERFECT AGE TO BE FRIENDS WITH OLGA.

Karen says, HELLO, LITTLE ONE.

She puts her finger on the clear door of the hutch.

Mr. Sawdust says, OH, GENTLE, THOUGH. SHE'S STILL GETTING USED TO EVERYTHING.

Karen asks, WHAT'S HER NAME?

Mrs. Sawdust says, WE WERE WAITING FOR YOU TO NAME HER.

Karen says, I THINK SHE'S A DAISY.

Olga narrates, WELL, I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! KAREN HAD GIVEN HER THE SAME NAME I HAD, WITHOUT THE 'LA SQUEAK'.

[Olga squeaking]

[Mr. Sawdust laughing quietly]

Mr. Sawdust says, I THINK OLGA AGREES.

Mrs. Sawdust nods and says, MM-HMM.

Olga eats a mouthful of grass.

Karen says, TAKE GOOD CARE OF DAISY, OLGA. IT'S HER FIRST NIGHT AWAY FROM THE RESCUE CENTRE. MAKE SURE SHE FEELS AT HOME.

Olga narrates, AND THAT'S WHEN I REALISED DAISY WASN'T A MOVIE STAR. SHE WAS A GUINEA PIG, SETTLING INTO HER NEW SAWDUST HOME, JUST LIKE I ONCE HAD.

Daisy, the black and white guinea pig, nibbles on a blade of grass. Elsewhere in the yard, Graham lies on the ramp of his hutch.

[Graham humming]

Mrs. Sawdust says, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, DAISY.

Daisy takes a few steps out of the hideaway.

Mr. Sawdust stands and says, RIGHT, WHO WANTS TO HELP ME MAKE VEGGIE BOLOGNESE FOR TEA?

Mrs. Sawdust stands. Karen jumps to her feet and raises her hand.

Karen says, ME!

Mr. Sawdust cheers, YES!

He walks toward the house with Mrs. Sawdust. Karen crouches toward the hutch.

Karen says, BYE, OLGA. BYE, DAISY.

She runs after Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust.

Olga narrates, AND I WAS GOING TO MAKE SURE DAISY FELT PART OF THE FAMILY.

Out loud, Daisy says, SHE'S REALLY NICE.

Olga says, KAREN IS THE BEST. SHE GIVES REALLY GOOD CUDDLES. AND I CAN'T WAIT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO MY OTHER FRIENDS.

Daisy says, OH, HOW EXCITING!

Olga calls out, NOEL, FANGIO!

On the grassy hill, Noel says, HMM.

Olga calls out, GRAHAM!

Fangio strolls alongside the stone half-wall.

[Fangio singing]

Graham wanders up onto the hill.

[Graham humming]

Olga says, COME AND MEET DAISY!

Daisy lies in the hideaway and nibbles on a blade of grass.

[Gentle music plays]

The sun shines brightly over the backyard through lush leaves on a tree. A snail inches across a rock.

Olga narrates, AND THAT'S HOW I CAME TO HAVE A NEW ROOMMATE, DAISY, AND SHE'S SETTLED IN JUST FINE.

In the present, Olga nibbles on a blade of grass by the food bowl. Daisy wanders across the hutch.

Olga narrates, WHAT A STAR!

[Olga giggling]

Daisy looks toward Olga.

[Playful music plays]
