[Magical music plays]

In an animation, the sun shines brightly over a field of dandelions. A guinea pig with long brown fur frolics through the grass. In live action, the guinea pig rests in their hutch, a large wooden cage on posts in the Sawdust family’s backyard. Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust stand by a gate in the fence, and Karen, a girl with long brown hair in braided pigtails, runs up to the hutch with a kite.

[Guinea pig squeaking]

[Cheerful music plays]

The guinea pig sings I'M A GUINEA PIG SENSATION WITH A GREAT IMAGINATION. I'M OLGA DA POLGA, THAT'S ME!

Facing the guinea hutch, Noel, a black cat, lies on a small grassy hill with Graham, a small tortoise, and Fangio, a hedgehog. Mrs. Sawdust trims a bush. Mr. Sawdust builds a pen. Karen skips across the yard. Olga nibbles on a blade of grass beside Daisy, a black and white guinea pig. Noel swats at Olga from the roof of the hutch.

At the back door of the Sawdust’s house, Karen says, OLGA! DAISY! SNACKS!

Olga sings, MY HEAD IS FULL OF STORIES, OF DERRING-DO AND GLORIES, SO GATHER 'ROUND, AND LISTEN TO ME!

In animations, guinea pigs face a fire-breathing dragon, stand on a podium with first-place medals and look up at a princess locked in a castle.

A crowd cheers, HOORAY!

In live-action, Graham says, AMAZING.

Noel says, RIDICULOUS!

Fangio says, INTERESTING!

Daisy says, OH!

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

Karen and her parents smile at Olga in the hutch. In the house, they pet Olga. In the backyard, Karen puts a carrot in Olga’s food bowl.

Olga sings, OLGA DA POLGA, THAT'S ME!

[Olga squeaking]

Title: Olga da Polga. Based on the books by Michael Bond.

[Gentle music plays]

In live action, the wind gently blows the leaves of trees lining a street. In the Sawdust family’s backyard, Noel lies on the grass in the sun. The episode title reads, “Trick or Treat.” Noel rolls over.

[Noel meowing]

Elsewhere in the yard, Fangio raises his snout.

[Fangio sniffing]

Fangio licks his nose. In the guinea pig hutch, Olga stands by the door with Daisy.

Olga narrates, SAWDUST PEOPLE LOVE DRESSING UP.

Mrs. Sawdust kneels beside a rock and works in the garden. She has long, light brown hair and wears a light green long-sleeved shirt. Mrs. Sawdust also wears a white hat and gardening gloves.

Olga narrates, MRS. SAWDUST DRESSES UP TO DO THE GARDENING.

By the garden shed, Mr. Sawdust jogs on the spot and stretches. He has short, dark grey hair and a thick, grey beard. He wears a grey athletic sweater and a grey sweatband.

Olga narrates, MR. SAWDUST DRESSES UP TO DO EXERCISE.

In the hutch, Olga nibbles on a leaf.

She narrates AND THERE WAS ONCE A TIME KAREN DRESSED UP AS HER FAVOURITE ANIMAL.

On the other side of the hutch, Karen fills Olga and Daisy’s bedroom with hay. Karen wears her long brown hair in braided pigtails and purple overalls over a pink long-sleeved shirt with orange polka dots.

[Hay rustling]

[Gentle music plays]

In a live-action flashback, Graham wanders across the grassy hill facing the guinea pig hutch.

[Graham humming]

Olga narrates, I WAS ADMIRING THE GARDEN WHEN MR. SAWDUST APPEARED AS IF FROM NOWHERE.

Olga eats a mouthful of grass. Mr. Sawdust crouches in front of the door, carrying a container of decorations. Mr. Sawdust wears a red plaid, button-down shirt over a blue T-shirt.

Mr. Sawdust says, OH! HA, SORRY, OLGA. HELLO, DAISY.

Daisy nibbles on a blade of grass in the bedroom doorway.

Mr. Sawdust says I HOPE I DIDN'T GIVE YOU A FRIGHT. MIND YOU, IT IS THE RIGHT SEASON FOR IT.

[Mr. Sawdust chuckling]

Mr. Sawdust puts the basket down and pulls out a sheet of black lace with a spider web design.

Olga narrates, I HAD NO IDEA WHAT MR. SAWDUST WAS DOING, BUT I WAS VERY CURIOUS.

Mr. Sawdust places the lace over the hutch.

He says, OH-HO!

Mr. Sawdust adds mini pumpkins to the roof of the hutch.

[Mr. Sawdust chuckling]

Mr. Sawdust hangs a spiral of gold ribbon on the hutch.

He says I MUST MAKE SURE THESE HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS STAY ON THE HUTCH.

Olga narrates, HALLOWEEN? WHAT WAS THAT?

Mr. Sawdust grabs a purple witch hat from the container.

He says, AND FINALLY...

Mr. Sawdust puts the hat on Olga’s nameplate on the hutch.

[Mr. Sawdust chuckling]

Mr. Sawdust says THAT LOOKS GREAT. KAREN'S GOING TO LOVE THIS.

He picks up the container.

Olga narrates, MAYBE KAREN WOULD TELL ME MORE ABOUT HALLOWEEN.

Mr. Sawdust walks over the grassy hill and leaves.

[Birds chirping]

[Gentle, spooky music plays]

A squirrel on a tree branch climbs further up the tree. A pumpkin basket hangs on the fence behind the guinea pig hutch.

[Wind gusting]

On the grassy hill, Graham crawls away from a basket with a jack-o-lantern on it.

Olga narrates, LATER THAT DAY, THERE WAS STILL NO SIGN OF KAREN.

Mrs. Sawdust hangs a jack-o-lantern decoration on the fence over fake cobwebs.

Olga narrates, AND THE SAWDUSTS WERE STICKING THINGS ALL OVER THE HOUSE.

Paper bat and jack-o’- lantern cutouts hang on a window. A basket with a ghost hangs on the fence beside squares of colourful fabric. Mr. Sawdust walks up to Mrs. By the gate.

Mr. Sawdust says, HMM, WHAT ARE WE DRESSING UP AS THIS YEAR?

Mrs. Sawdust says, KAREN'S ALREADY GOT AN IDEA. I'M NOT SURE IF WE'LL BE ABLE TO PULL IT TOGETHER IN TIME, BUT WE CAN TRY.

Mr. Sawdust says, WELL, WE HAVE LOTS OF THINGS FROM THROUGH THE YEARS THAT WE CAN REUSE.

He pulls a green witch’s hat out of the container of decorations.

Mrs. Sawdust says, GOOD IDEA.

She turns away and hangs a decoration on a bush.

Mrs. Sawdust says I'LL CHECK HOW KAREN'S GETTING ON AND MAYBE FIND OUT WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO FOR HER BACKUP COSTUME.

Mr. Sawdust puts on the green hat and sneaks behind the gate door. Mrs. Sawdust turns back toward the gate.

Mr. Sawdust jumps out and says BOO!

He holds a paper spider.

Mrs. Sawdust yelps, OH!

[Mr. Sawdust laughing]

[Mrs. Sawdust laughing]

Mrs. Sawdust says YOU GAVE ME A FRIGHT!

Mr. Sawdust says, SORRY.

[Mrs. Sawdust sighing]

Mrs. Sawdust walks past Mr. Sawdust. Mr. Sawdust removes the witch’s hat and follows her toward the house.

[Gentle, spooky music plays]

Decorations cover the house and yard.

Olga narrates, DECORATIONS? TRICK OR TREATS AND COSTUMES?

Graham and Fangio wander around the yard. Fangio sniffs between two small pumpkin decorations.

[Fangio singing]

Graham climbs the grassy hill.

[Graham humming]

Olga narrates, WHAT WAS GOING ON?

Noel lies in a patch of sun on the grassy hill.

[Noel clears his throat loudly]

Olga looks up from her blades of grass.

She says, GOODNESS, NOEL. WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?

Noel says OH, YOU KNOW. AROUND.

Olga says I DON'T SUPPOSE EITHER OF YOU KNOW MUCH ABOUT THIS HALLOWEEN THING.

Noel says, THE SAWDUSTS DO IT EVERY YEAR. THEY HANG UP COBWEBS AND GET DRESSED UP IN OUTFITS AND SHOUT "TRICK OR TREAT" AT PEOPLE'S DOORS.

Graham says, OH. THAT SOUNDS FUN.

Daisy asks, WHAT SORT OF OUTFITS DO THEY WEAR?

Noel says, WELL, LOTS OF DIFFERENT THINGS, BUT MOST OF THEM DRESS UP AS CATS.

Olga’s nose twitches.

Noel says, LIKE ME.

Olga asks, WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO DRESS UP AS A CAT?

Noel says, WELL, WE ARE THE MOST POPULAR HALLOWEEN ANIMALS, OLGA. I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYONE DRESS UP AS A GUINEA PIG YET.

[Noel chuckling]

Noel leaves.

Olga narrates, REALLY. HOW RIDICULOUS. I COULDN'T BELIEVE ANYONE WHO WOULD WANT TO BE NOEL OVER ME.

Olga and Daisy nibble on blades of grass.

[Gentle, magical music plays]

The wind gently blows fall leaves on a tree and a ghost decoration. Later in the yard, Karen searches a box of costumes.

[Gentle, upbeat music plays]

Karen puts on an oversized pair of heart-shaped sunglasses and dances.

[Karen humming a tune]

Karen takes off the glasses and digs through the box.

[Karen groaning]

Karen loudly says, MOM, I CAN'T SEE THEM ANYWHERE!

Mr. Sawdust hangs fake cobwebs on trees.

She says THEY'LL BE SOMEWHERE IN THE HALLOWEEN BOX. DON'T YOU WORRY.

Mrs. Sawdust walks over to Karen. Karen pulls two pieces of a costume out of the box.

Karen says, OH, IT'S OKAY. I FOUND THEM.

[Karen and Mrs. Sawdust laughing]

[Intense music plays]

Olga narrates, WELL, WHATEVER KAREN HAD FOUND LOOKED A LOT LIKE FURRY EARS AND A TAIL.

Karen wears a cat-ear headband and has a long black tail. She runs across the yard and crouches in front of the hutch.

Karen says, OLGA, DAISY, IT'S NEAR HALLOWEEN. I JUST NEED TO FINISH MY COSTUME.

From beside the food bowl, Olga looks toward Karen.

Olga narrates, AND FROM UP CLOSE, I COULD SEE IT LOOKED VERY MUCH LIKE NOEL.

Karen says, YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT. WAIT AND SEE.

She leaves.

[Karen giggling]

Olga narrates, WELL, I DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO LOVE IT AT ALL. NOT IF IT WAS A CAT.

Olga scurries across the hutch into the bedroom on the other side and nestles into a pile of hay.

[Hay rustling]

Behind the park bench, Noel lies on the stone half-wall.

Noel grunts, HMM!

[Gentle, spooky music plays]

The light wind blows the lace spider webs on the hutch. Against the house, Fangio walks over piles of fallen leaves.

[Fangio singing]

Outside the guinea pig hutch, Karen takes a seat on a stool. Mr. Sawdust kneels behind the grassy hill. Mrs. Sawdust walks over to Karen.

Karen says, I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TRICK-OR-TREATING.

Mrs. Sawdust says, OH, ME TOO.

She crouches beside Karne.

Mrs. Sawdust says, AND THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR WITH FATIMA AND HER MUM FROM DOWN THE ROAD. THAT'S EXCITING, ISN'T IT?

Karne says, YEAH!

Mr. Sawdust asks, DO YOU KNOW, THEY CALLED IT "GUISING" BACK IN MY DAY?

Karen and Mrs. Sawdust share a smile.

[Karen and Mrs. Sawdust laughing]

[Silly music plays]

Mr. Sawdust says, ANYWAY. WHAT'S FATIMA AND SOPHIE DRESSING UP AS?

Karen says, FATIMA'S DRESSING UP AS A CAT, AND SOPHIE'S DRESSING UP AS A WITCH'S BLACK CAT.

In the hutch, Olga rests behind a large pile of hay.

Olga narrates, WELL, REALLY. MORE CATS!

She scurries away from the hay. At the food bowl, Olga nibbles on a baby carrot.

Olga narrates, IT ALMOST PUT ME OFF MY CARROTS.

Mr. Sawdust says, RIGHT, COME ON, LET'S GET BACK IN THE HOUSE AND FINISH UP YOUR COSTUME.

Karen says, OKAY!

She and Mr. Sawdust stand. Karen crouches in front of the hutch.

Karen says, BYE, OLGA. BYE, DAISY.

She skips back toward the house with Mr. and Mrs. Sawdust.

Olga narrates, WELL, I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. NOEL MIGHT ACTUALLY BE RIGHT. IT SOUNDED LIKE EVERYONE WAS DRESSING UP AS A CAT!

Olga turns away from the door. At night, the full moon shines through the darkness.

[Gentle, spooky music plays]

In the hutch bedroom, Olga pokes her head through the door.

Olga narrates, ALL THAT NIGHT, I TOSSED AND TURNED JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.

She returns to the large pile of hay and nestles underneath it.

[Wolf howling]

In narration, Olga whimpers, OOH!

In an animated story, Daisy, dressed as a turtle, carries a pumpkin basket. Olga, dressed as a princess, walks down a sidewalk ahead of her. A third guinea pig, dressed as a ghost, follows them.

Someone yelps. Oh!

[Meowing]

[Olga gasping]

[Meowing]

Olga narrates, BUT NOEL'S EVERYWHERE.

[Cats all meowing]

[Olga shuddering]

The story ends and Olga narrates, IT WAS A VERY SCARY THOUGHT.

In the live-action flashback, Olga turns away from the bedroom door.

[Wind gusting]

[Gentle music plays]

A bird flies out of a tree. On a new day, the wind gently blows the leaves in a tree.

[Birds chirping]

[Fangio grunting]

[Gentle, cheerful music plays]

At the backyard gate, Mr. Sawdust wears an inflatable green dinosaur costume that looks like he is riding a dinosaur. He greets three trick-or-treaters and gives a treat to a girl wearing a popcorn bucket costume.

Mr. Sawdust says, THERE YOU GO.

He drops a treat in the bag of a brown-haired boy wearing a hamburger costume.

Mr. Sawdust says, SOME COOKIES TO GO WITH YOUR BURGER.

Mr. Sawdust says, HELLO, NOEL!

[Mrs. Sawdust laughing]

On the grassy hill, Noel says, AH. WHAT A LOVELY COSTUME.

Olga says, WELL, AT LEAST MR. SAWDUST HAS GONE FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. IN FACT, IT LOOKS A BIT LIKE YOU, GRAHAM.

On the hill, Graham says, OH, YES.

Mr. Sawdust asks WHERE'S KAREN? IS SHE READY?

Mrs. Sawdust says SHE'S JUST COMING DOWN.

Noel says, WELL, I'M SURE KAREN WILL BE A CAT. SHE WAS LAST YEAR.

[Door opening]

Mr. Sawdust calls out, OLGA, DAISY, WAIT TILL YOU SEE THIS!

[Anticipatory music plays]

Mrs. Sawdust says, INTRODUCING...

Karen steps outside in a brown costume.

Mrs. Sawdust says, ….KAREN THE GUINEA PIG!
