The TVOKids logo appears on a white flag next to a pirate symbol that sits on an open book. The name of the show reads "Bookaneers."

In animation, Skaggs, Fibber and the Captain sing on the pirate ship.

They song says WE STOLE A TREASURE
FAIR AND SQUARE
AND DIDN'T MEAN TO GLOAT
BUT SOME OTHER PIRATES
WANT TO TAKE IT
OUR CAPTAIN TOLD US,
HIDE THE TREASURE
TAKE IT FAR FROM VIEW
AND I'LL SEND ALONG
A WRITTEN NOTE
TO TELL YOU
WHAT TO DO

As the other pirates attack the pirate ship, Skaggs and Fibber take the treasure down to the hold and wait there for instructions.

[shouting-shuffling]

The animation ends.
(music plays)

In real life, Skaggs and Fibber wait in the hold.

They hear a thief say I WILL
SCOUR THIS VESSEL
AND IF I FIND SO
MUCH AS ONE PIRATE,
YOU WILL ALL
BE ARRESTED.

Skaggs says SOUNDS LIKE
THERE BE
A LOT OF SOLDIERS
UP THERE
LOOKING FOR
THIS TREASURE.
MAYBE WE SHOULD GO
UP THERE AND HELP?

Fibber says THE CAPTAIN TOLD US TO
GUARD THE TREASURE
AND WAIT FOR
HIS NOTE.

Skaggs says BUT WHAT IF THE
CAPTAIN IS STUCK -?

The door opens and a pirate comes down the ladder.

He says OH!
THERE BE 40
SOLDIERS ON DECK
AND THEY BE MAKING ME
HAND OUT ROYAL FLYERS.

He gives them a flyer and climbs back up the ladder.

The Thief says ATTENTION!

The flyer reads "All pirates banned!"

Fibber says ALL PIRATES
BANNED?

Skaggs says AYE, A
MUSICAL BAND.
I CAN SHOW OFF
ME TUBA LESSONS.

[tuba notes blowing]

On the deck, the Thief says WHAT IS THAT
HORRIBLE SOUND?

The Captain says MUST BE THIS
OLD SHIP, BOYS.
SHE GROANS WHEN
SHE'S SPRUNG A LEAK.
BETTER GO CHECK
ON THE LADS.
[notes blowing]

The pirate goes down the hold again.

Skaggs and Fibber play musical instruments.

The pirate says OIY, SHIVER ME
TIMBERS!
SHHH!
THEY CAN HEAR
YOU UP THERE.

Skaggs says WE'RE AUDITIONING.

Fibber says WE'RE ALSO INTERESTED IN
THE ALL PIRATES BAND.

The pirate says IT DOESN'T
SAY BAND.
IT SAYS BANNED.

Fibber says YEAH, BAND.

The pirate says NO, NOT BAND,
BANNED.

Skaggs says YOU'RE JUST SAYING
THE SAME THING TWICE.

The pirate says NO, I'M NOT.
I'M SAYING TWO WORDS
THAT SOUND THE SAME
BUT THEY ARE
SPELLED DIFFERENTLY,
AND THEY HAVE
DIFFERENT MEANINGS.
THEY'RE WHAT'S
CALLED HOMOPHONES.
BAND, B-A-N-D,
IS A GROUP OF
MUSICIANS.
BUT BANNED,
B-A-N-N-E-D,
MEANS NOT ALLOWED.
ALL PIRATES ARE
NOT ALLOWED.

Skaggs says UH, HA HA HA.
I SEE, I SEE
THE SEA.

Fibber says I SEE THE SEA.
I LOVE THAT SONG!

The pirate says NO, NO!

They play and sing I SEE THE SEA
I SEE THE SEA!

The Captain says SOUNDS LIKE SHE'S
SPRUNG A LEAK.
YOU BETTER RUSH OFF
BEFORE SHE SINKS.

The Thief says ABANDON SHIP!

The Captain says TA-TAA!
[splash]

The announcer says AND SO, THE BOOKANEERS'
GREAT READING
SAVED THE DAY,
ALLOWING THEM
TO KEEP
THEIR TREASURE...
THIS TIME.
[tuba note blows]
