(music plays)

A red book with a hamster on the cover appears against a background in which a castle can be seen.

Tumbleweed says TUMBLETOWN TALES!
STARRING ME,
TUMBLEWEED.

The red book opens. A popup castle comes up, and inside the castle Tumbleweed sits in his sitting room and looks through a photo album.

He says WHAT SHOULD I DO
THIS EVENING?
I
KNOW!
I LOOK AT PICTURES
OF ME!
SO MANY
WONDERFUL MEMORIES.
IN THIS PHOTO ALBUM
IS ME
AND OH LOOK
IT'S AUNT GUSSY.
THIS REALLY TAKES
ME BACK.
I LOVED
HELPING OUT
AUNT GUSSY AT THE
GENERAL STORE.

The album show three pictures of Tumbleweed and Gussy at the Eiffel tower, with the statue of Liberty and at Niagara Falls.

He says I WAS A
LITTLE HAMSTER BACK
THEN WITH SO MUCH
TO LEARN.
I REMEMBER IT AS
THOUGH IT WERE YESTERDAY.

The image blurs into his memories and shows him eating seeds at aunt gussy’s store.

He says THESE GENERAL
STORE SEEDS
ARE DELICIOUS,
AUNT GUSSY!

Aunt Gussy says THANK YOU
SO MUCH FOR
COMING INTO
THE STORE TO HELP
OUT, TUMBLEWEED.

Tumbleweed says NO PROBLEM,
AUNT GUSSY.
SPENDING TIME IN THE
STORE WITH YOU IS FUN.

She chuckles and says WELL IT'S NOT ONLY FUN,
IT'S WORK TOO.

He says SURE
IT IS.
IS IT LUNCHTIME
YET?
I'M
HUNGRY.
HOW ABOUT SOME
OF THESE?
THESE
ARE DELICIOUS.

She says NO,
TUMBLEWEED!
THOSE SEEDS ARE FOR THE
CUSTOMERS!
YOU CAN START
BY
WASHING SOME
OF THE DISHES.

He yells WASHING THE
DISHES?
WELL IT'S
NOT WHAT I
HAD IN MIND,
BUT OKAY.
POINT ME
TO THE DISHES!

Now he stands in front of a sink full of dirty dishes,
A radio pops into view; it’s a rounded triangle with three buttons.

He says THERE SURE ARE A LOT
OF DISHES TO WASH!
OH
WELL.
AUNT GUSSY WILL
BE HAPPY
ONCE I GET
THEM ALL CLEAN.
THERE WE
GO.

He rubs a white plate with his paw and says CLEAN, CLEAN,
CLEAN AND DONE!
DONE THAT ONE
ANYWAY.
OH,
OH!

A song plays on the radio and Tumbleweed chuckles and says I LOVE THIS
SONG!
THIS IS THE BEST
SONG FOR DANCING!

He runs into the store as a customer says YES, WHAT I
WANT,

Tumbleweed yells AUNT GUSSY!
WATCH ME DANCE
TO THIS SONG!
I KNOW
THIS WHOLE ROUTINE.
OKAY,
READY?
OKAY, IT GOES
LIKE THIS.

Aunt Gussy says TUMBLEWEED,
I CANT TALK RIGHT NOW.
I'M SERVING A
CUSTOMER, OKAY?

Tumbleweed says BUT I WAS GONNA
DANCE!
AND TURN
DOWN THAT MUSIC.

He says OH,
OKAY.
I'LL DANCE
LATER.

The customer says THIS IS A
PLACE OF BUSINESS!

Gussy says SORRY ABOUT
THAT.
SEE YOU
NEXT TIME.

Tumbleweed says OKAY, IT'S
DOWN.
GREAT.
AND ONCE YOU'RE
FINISHED THE DISHES,
YOU CAN HELP ME FINISH
CLEANING UP.

He says OH, AH,
OKAY.
WELL I COULD
CLEAN UP THIS

He tries to pick out a seed from a tub and tumbles the whole tub over.

He says UH-OH.
I SPILLED
IT.
SORRY
ABOUT THAT.

Gussy says TUMBLEWEED,
YOU ARE
NOT HELPING
ME RIGHT NOW!

He asks I'M NOT?
BUT I WAS
TRYING TO

She says TUMBLEWEED,
THIS ISN'T
A PLAYGROUND OR
A CANDY STORE.
IT'S A PLACE
OF BUSINESS.
THIS IS WHERE
I WORK.

He moves his hands and says THEN CAN
WE CLOSE EARLY
AND PLAY
OUTSIDE?

She laughs and explains IF I DO THAT,
THEN I DON'T GET PAID.
I SELL FOOD AND
THINGS TO THE
CUSTOMERS AND THAT'S
HOW I EARN MY LIVING.
THE MONEY I MAKE
WORKING HERE
PAYS FOR
FOOD IN MY HOUSE.

He says OH SO THAT'S WHERE YOUR
MONEY COMES FROM!

She laughs and says THAT'S
RIGHT.
NOW WHAT DO YOU SAY,
TUMBLEWEED.
CAN YOU HELP
ME RUN A BUSINESS?

He says I SURE CAN!

She says SUPER.
NOW LET'S GET
TO WORK.

He says FIRST I SHALL
CLEAN THE DISHES!
STAND BACK,
DISHES.
PREPARE
TO BE CLEANED!

Now he talks to a customer and asks CAN I HELP YOU
WITH ANYTHING?

He answers BIRDHOUSES.

Tumbleweed says OH, YES, WE HAVE A
FINE SELECTION.

Next he scrubs the counter as he says JUST WIPE
THIS DOWN HERE.
PERFECT,
HA-HA!

Then he grabs a broom and says AND
SWEEP.
I DON'T KNOW WHO SPLIT
THIS STUFF.

Next he charges a customer and says AND THAT
WILL BE 5 dollars, SIR.

The customer gives him a 10 dollar bill and says HERE YOU
GO.

He hands over a 5 dollar bill and says AND HERE
IS YOUR CHANGE.
HAVE A NICE
DAY.
THANK
YOU.

A sign on the door reads "Closed."

Tumbleweed says WELL
THAT'S IT.
THAT WAS THE LAST
CUSTOMER.

Gussy says WE DID A LOT OF
BUSINESS TODAY, TUMBLEWEED.
AND YOU WERE
A BIG HELP.

He says OH,
THANK YOU.

She gives him a 5 dollar bill.

He asks OH, WHAT'S
THIS?

She says WELL WITH
YOU HELPING,
I HAD A LITTLE
MORE TIME
TO HELP
THE CUSTOMERS
SO I MADE A LITTLE
EXTRA MONEY.

He says OH, THANKS,
AUNT GUSSY!
THAT'S
NICE!

The image blurs and Tumbleweed appears in his castle.

He says I LEARNED
SO MUCH THAT DAY.
I EVEN KEPT THE 5 dollars
SHE GAVE ME!
ONE DAY MAYBE
I'LL OPEN A SEED STORE.
THEN AGAIN I'LL PROBABLY
JUST EAT EVERYTHING.
BUT STILL
IT'D BE FUN.

He closes the photo album and looks at the 5 dollar bill framed on his wall as he says I COULD CALL IT
SEED-A-RAMA
OR
SEED MART.
OR TUMBLEWEED AND STEVE'S
FEED AND SEED!

A view of the castle at night appears as he rambles on
OF COURSE I DON'T KNOW
ANYBODY NAMED STEVE.
UM, CEDAR
SEED STORE!
SEEDZILLA!
FROM SEED TO
SHINING SEED.

The TVO Kids logo appears.
