At home, 8-year-old Ella, who has curly, dark brown hair, runs down a staircase with a toy rocket ship. She wears a teal space suit and a helmet with animal ears.
[Giggling]
Ella runs into the living room and gives her little sister, Tilly, the rocket ship.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, COME WITH ME, TO THE STARS.
Ella’s mom picks up Tilly and smiles. Ella runs outside and past her dad.
The singer sings, THE GALAXY IS OURS!
Ella waves to her dad.
She says, BYE DAD!
Ella jumps onto her moon scooter, a circular spacecraft, and takes off.
People say, LET'S GO!
The singer sings, LOOK AT ALL THE WONDER.
INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies over a planet with Madhu, a blue and green alien, Slippy, a black-haired boy who flies a red spacecraft and Glitch, Slippy’s small robot.
The signer sings, LOOK UP SO MUCH SPLENDOUR.
INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies on Madhu.
The singer sings, LOOK OUT FOR ADVENTURE.
Ella and Slippy explore a planet with Maggie, Ella’s holographic A.I. star. Elsewhere in space, Slippy and Madhu look startled.
They say, WOAH!
They serve away from Ella and her moon scooter.
The singer sings, COME EXPLORE THE MILKY WAY!
Ella and her family sit on a spacecraft.
The singer sings, LOOK UP!

Ella, her family, and her friends admire a giant colourful cloud together. Text reads, t.v.o.kids Presents, Interstellar Ella.
[Upbeat music plays]
At Ella, Slippy and Madhu’s asteroid clubhouse, Slippy picks up a jar of pickles and a wrench. He carries a grappling hook, rubber duck tube and picnic blanket.
Standing nearby with Madhu, Ella says, COME ON, SLIPPY
WE HAVE TO GO!
Madhu says, YES.
THE STAR WILL EXPLODE
ANY MINUTE NOW!
LET'S GO WATCH IT.
Slippy says, OKAY. OKAY.
I'M ALMOST DONE PACKING.
PROMISE.
He searches his storage cabinet and throws things toward Glitch.
[Clanging]
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch puts a metal ball in his storage compartment and reaches for a notebook that lands nearby. A cooler and metal helmet land on the ground behind Glitch.
Slippy asks, HAS ANYONE SEEN MY TELESCOPE?
Ella says, UH...YOU'RE HOLDING IT.
Slippy says, OH YEAH.
He looks at a telescope in his hand.
Slippy says, THANKS ELLA.
I THINK I'VE GOT EVERYTHING.
He gives the telescope to Glitch.
Madhu cheers, YAY!
IT'S SUPERNOVA TIME!
[Ella giggling]
Slippy says, NOW
I JUST HAVE TO UNPACK
EVERYTHING, CHECK
IF IT WORKS, AND THEN REPACK!
Ella and Madhu glare at Slippy.
Slippy says, I'LL DO IT ON THE WAY.
LET'S GO!
He jumps on his space racer and follows Ella and Madhu off the asteroid. Elsewhere in space, Ella and Madhu look thoughtful.
Madhu says, HMM.
THIS SUPERNOVA LOOKS DIFFERENT
THAN THE ONES WE'VE SEEN BEFORE.
Ella, Slippy and Madhu face an explosion of orange and yellow clouds.
Maggie explains, BECAUSE YOU ARE LOOKING
AT A SUPERNOVA REMNANT.
THE ACTUAL EXPLOSION IS OVER.
Slippy says, WE MISSED IT!?
HOW?
Maggie says, THIS IS WHAT WAS HAPPENING
AT THE EXACT MOMENT
OF THE SUPERNOVA.
Maggie shows Ella, Slippy and Madhu back at the clubhouse. Slippy holds an apple in one hand and a banana in the other.
Slippy says, APPLE OR
BANANA?
HMM.
WHAT WOULD BE A BETTER
SUPERNOVA SNACK?
In the present, Slippy says, OH…
WE MISSED IT
BECAUSE OF ME.
SORRY.
AT LEAST I HAVE SNACKS.
[Glitch beeping]
Slippy asks, DOES ANYONE
WANT AN APPLE OR A BANANA?
He pulls an apple and a banana out of Glitch’s storage compartment. Back at the clubhouse, Slippy picks up his things scattered across the ground including the cooler and metal helmet.
[Slippy grunting]
Slippy carries his things back to the storage cabinet and a rock falls out of his grasp.
Madhu says, OH, WHAT'S THIS?
Madhu picks up the rock.
Madhu says, IT'S SO PRETTY AND...
Madhu swipes a finger across the rock.
Madhu says, SHARP.
Maggie says, THAT IS A ROCK
FROM EARTH'S MOON.
Madhu sucks on their finger and turns toward Ella and Maggie.
Maggie continues, IT IS SHARP BECAUSE THERE IS NO
WIND OR WATER THERE.
ON EARTH, WIND AND WATER
WEAR DOWN ROCKS
AND MAKE THEM SMOOTH.
BUT ON THE MOON,
EVEN DUST IS SHARP.
Madhu looks at the rock and says, YOU ARE FROM EARTH'S MOON.
OH.
Slippy says, YOU CAN HAVE IT IF YOU WANT.
Madhu says, THANKS SLIPPY!
Madhu hugs the rock and floats across the clubhouse.
Madhu says, OH.
AH.
OH
[Ella giggling]
Madhu says, I DON'T HAVE POCKETS.
GLITCH.
CAN YOU HOLD THIS?
Madhu lands and gives Glitch the rock.
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch stores the rock in his storage compartment.
[Glitch beeping]
[Clanging]
[Slippy sighing]
Slippy says, I RUINED OUR DAY, DIDN'T I?
Ella says, NO.
OUR DAY ISN'T OVER YET.
WE CAN STILL DO
LOTS OF THINGS!
LIKE ZIPLINING.
WE'VE WANTED TO DO THAT
FOR AGES.
Slippy says, YEAH, THAT SOUNDS GREAT!
BUT WE HAVE TO FIND A GOOD SPOT
FIRST.
Madhu says, OH, I KNOW!
WE CAN GO TO GANYMEDE.
IT'S ONE OF JUPITER'S MOONS,
AND IT HAS THESE BIG GROOVES
PERFECT FOR ZIPLINING!
Slippy says, GREAT.
LET'S LEAVE RIGHT NOW!
WE'LL NEED A LONG ROPE,
CARABINERS, SNACKS, A TOOLBOX,
MAYBE A GAME
IN CASE WE GET BORED?
[Glitch beeping]
Ella and Madhu glance at Glitch and frown.
Slippy continues, HMM.
BUT THEN WE'VE
GOT TO BRING A TABLE, TOO.
YOU'RE RIGHT.
LET'S PACKING MORE FUN.
He reaches into his storage cabinet.
Slippy says, WE ONLY NEED THIS,
THIS AND THIS.
He tosses ziplining equipment including a worn-down rope with carabiners, a metal rope climbing stake and a trolley to Glitch.
[Clanging]
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch stores the equipment in his storage compartment.
Ella says, LET'S GO!
[Upbeat music plays]
Slippy jumps on his space racer and Ella jumps on her moon scooter and they leave the clubhouse with Madhu. Ella, Slippy and Madhu fly among asteroids toward a grey and purple moon.
Ella says, OH, I KNOW GANYMEDE.
IT'S JUPITER'S BIGGEST MOON!
Maggie appears beside Ella.
She says, THAT IS CORRECT, ELLA.
GANYMEDE IS THE BIGGEST MOON
IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM.
Slippy says, ASTRONOMICAL.
AND WHERE ARE THE GROOVES?
Maggie says, YOU WILL FIND DEEP GROOVES
AND HIGH RIDGES
MADE OF ICE AND FROZEN
ROCK IN THE LIGHTER AREAS.
Ella says, LET'S GO!
WHOO-HOO!
She zooms toward the grey and purple moon, Ganymede, and flies over a deep, purple groove.
Madhu says, THIS IS THE PLACE.
Madhu lands at the top of a groove with Ella and Slippy.
Madhu says, GROOVY, RIGHT?
Slippy says, SUPER GROOVY, MADHU!
He glances at Glitch unpacking his ziplining gear.
Slippy says, OH, NO!
I BROUGHT MY OLD ZIPLINE STUFF
INSTEAD OF MY NEW GEAR.
Ella asks, WHY DID YOU EVEN KEEP
YOUR OLD ZIPLINE GEAR?
Slippy says, TO USE IT… ONE DAY… FOR SOMETHING.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT?
WE CAN USE IT TODAY
FOR ZIP LINING!
Madhu cheers, YES, WE CAN!
Maggie says, USING THE RIGHT
EQUIPMENT IS IMPORTANT.
Slippy says DON’T WORRY MAGGIE,
THE ONLY THING WE REALLY NEED
FOR ZIP LINING IS GRAVITY.
He runs past Ella with the gear and drops it at the edge of the groove.
[Clanging]
Slippy says, WE'LL MAKE IT WORK.
Madhu grabs the rope and carabiners.
Madhu says, I WILL SET UP.
Madhu flies down into the groove.
[Upbeat music plays]
Madhu ties a piece of rope to a metal stake stuck in a wall of the groove. Madhu flies up the groove past the rest of the rope tied to the walls of the groove, making a zig-zag
At the top, Madhu says, ALL DONE.
THAT'S A LONG ZIP LINE.
IT GOES ALL
THE WAY DOWN.
Ella and Slippy look in the groove.
[Glitch beeping]
Light purple specks splatter the walls of the groove around the metal spikes.
Slippy says, COME ON, GLITCH.
IT'LL BE AWESOME!
Ella holds a rope with a zipline disc seat.
She says, GRAVITY, DO YOUR THING.
Ella leaps off the edge of the groove onto the disc. She ziplines across a level rope.
She cheers, WOO-HOO!
Ella slides to a stop.
She says, OH, UMM GRAVITY?
WHERE'D YOU GO?
Maggie appears and says, ACTUALLY, THE GRAVITY ON
GANYMEDE IS VERY LOW,
LIKE ON EARTH'S MOON.
YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE
THE ZIP LINES
MUCH STEEPER FOR THIS
TO WORK.
Madhu says, ON IT!
Madhu flies into the groove. Later in the groove, Madhu gives Ella and Slippy a thumbs-up and flies up to the edge. Ella ziplines down a rope tied to a metal stake deep down in the groove.
Ella says, WOAH!
INTERSTELLAR!
She pulls a lever on her zipline trolley and slows down. At the other end of the rope, Ella unclips herself and hops off her seat onto a small ledge. Elle gives Slippy a thumbs up. Slippy hops onto his disc seat and ziplines down the groove.
Slippy cheers, WEEE!
He stops at the other end of the rope and unclips himself. He hops down onto the ledge beside Ella.
[Slippy laughing]
[Madhu yelping]
Madhu warns, WATCH OUT!
Madhu ziplines toward Ella and Slippy with Glitch. Madhu’s trolley hits Slippy’s, and Madhu falls off their disc seat onto their back.
[Dramatic music briefly plays]
Madhu says, PHEW.
I FORGOT WHERE
THE BREAK WAS.
[Ella and Slippy laughing]
Ella ziplines down another rope. Madhu flies beside her.
Ella says, LOOK, NO HANDS.
She lets go of the rope on her seat.
Madhu says, NO ROPE!
Madhu spreads their arms.
Madhu cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Glitch ziplines down the groove.
[Glitch beeping]
Slippy ziplines while lying on his stomach on his seat.
Slippy says, WEEE!
[Slippy laughing]
His trolley snags against the rope, and he jerks to a stop.
[Slippy yelping]
[Dramatic music plays]
Slippy swings into a sitting position on his seat.
Slippy says, UM… I THINK I'M STUCK.
Ella ziplines down to Slippy. Madhu and Glitch fly behind Ella and Slippy.
Slippy says, THE ROPE IS FRAYED.
Ella stands on her seat and looks at the frayed rope.
She says, WE NEED SOMETHING TO FIX IT.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TAPE?
Slippy says, NOPE.
DIDN'T PACK THAT.
BUT WE DON'T NEED
TAPE TO HAVE FUN, RIGHT?
Madhu says, THAT'S TRUE.
I'VE OFTEN HAD FUN WITHOUT TAPE.
Madhu pulls Ella and Slippy’s trolleys off the frayed rope.
Ella says, PROBLEM SOLVED.
SEE SLIPPY.
THIS DAY IS GOING GREAT!
Slippy smiles.
Ella cheers, INTERSTELLAR!
She ziplines across the groove on another rope. Halfway, her carabiner falls off the rope.
[Dramatic music plays]
Ella says, OH, NO!
She clings to her rope. Elsewhere in the groove, Glitch ziplines on one of the seats.
[Glitch beeping]
A metal stake in the wall behind Glitch falls out, and Glitch swings toward the other wall.
[Glitch beeping frantically]
Ella says, NO!
She speeds down her rope.
[Glitch beeping frantically]
Glitch’s trolley slams against the groove wall. Glitch spins with his seat.
[Glitch beeping]
On another rope, Slippy pulls the brake lever on his trolley, and it snaps off.
Slippy says, HUH?
He speeds toward the other side of the groove.
Slippy chants, I CAN STOP, I CAN STOP, I CAN STOP!
Using the thrusters in his boots, Slippy slows to a stop close to the wall. Slippy unclips himself and jumps down onto a ledge.
Slippy says, SEE?
I COULD STOP.
He wipes his forehead. Part of the wall around a metal stake melts, and the stake slips downward. On another rope, Slippy ziplines down to Ella, Glitch and Madhu sitting on a ledge.
Ella says, WELL, THAT WAS… FUN.
Slippy joins Ella, Glitch and Madhu.
Slippy says, AND WE'RE NOT DONE YET.
WE'RE ONLY HALFWAY DOWN!
He points toward the bottom of the groove. Ella and Madhu look over the ledge. One of the metal stakes starts to wiggle loose. A single strand of string holds a frayed rope together.
Madhu says, MAYBE WE SHOULD CALL IT A DAY.
I'M TIRED.
AND THE ROPES LOOK TIRED TOO.
Slippy says, BUT WE'RE HAVING FUN!
WE'LL MAKE IT WORK.
I'LL SHOW YOU.
Ella says, ACTUALLY, UH, SLIPPY…
Slippy ziplines across the groove.
He says, WEEE!
SEE?
THIS IS TOTALLY FUN –
[Slippy yelping]
The metal stake in the groove wall behind Slippy slides out. The stake opposite comes out of the wall and Slippy falls toward the bottom of the groove.
[Dramatic music plays]
[Slippy yelling]
Ella and Madhu shout, SLIPPY!
Slippy yells, WHOA!
A rope wrapped around him, Slippy slows his fall with his boot thrusters and zooms around the other ropes
Slippy yells, WHOA!
WHOA!
Maggie appears and says, WARNING,
GANYMEDE'S
ICE CRUST HAS A WEAK STRUCTURE.
IF SLIPPY USES HIS BOOTS
TOO MUCH,
IT MIGHT TRIGGER A COLLAPSE.
Slippy’s thrusters melt a section of the groove wall.
[Slippy yelling]
Madhu dives off the ledge. Ella jumps on Madhu’s back, and they fly toward Slippy with Glitch.
Ella says, DON'T WORRY.
WE'VE GOT YOU!
Ella flies using the thrusters in her boots. On either side of Slippy, Ella and Madhu each grab a rope. The ropes fall from the walls, and everyone drops further down the groove.
Madhu says, BUT THE ROPES HAVE GOT US!
Ella and Slippy yell, WHOA!
[Slippy wailing]
Ella, Slippy, Madhu and Glitch hang from ropes tangled in a ball of ropes.
[Intense music plays]
Ella looks around and up toward the top of the groove.
[Ella grunting]
Ella tries to escape the ball of tangled rope.
She says, I'M STUCK.
CAN ANYONE UNTIE SOME
OF THESE KNOTS?
Madhu says, THEY'RE TOO TIGHT!
Slippy asks, DOES ANYONE HAVE SCISSORS?
Ella, Madhu and Glitch shake their heads.
Slippy asks, WHAT ABOUT SNIPERS?
OR CLIPPERS?
Ella, Madhu and Glitch shake their heads.
Ella says, I GUESS WE ALWAYS EXPECT
YOU TO BRING EVERYTHING.
She tries to move, and the ball of ropes bounces against the wall.
[Ella grunting]
[Slippy groaning]
Slippy groans, WHY DO I ALWAYS
HAVE TO GET SUCH GREAT ROPES.
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch takes a laser cutter out of his storage compartment.
Slippy says, GREAT IDEA,
GLITCH!
HE CAN USE HIS CUTTING BEAM!
[Madhu cheering]
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch looks up the wall to the single metal stake holding the ropes.
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch fires the laser toward the single stake, and the ball of rope turns. The laser blasts up the wall and cuts through the purple rock
[Rumbling]
The wall shakes and a large cloud of dust and rocks starts to fall toward the group.
Slippy asks, IS THAT AN AVALANCHE?
Maggie appears and says, IT IS!
LUCKILY,
THE GRAVITY IS WEAK ON GANYMEDE,
SO THE AVALANCHE WILL COME DOWN
SLOWLY.
STILL, WE MUST LEAVE
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Madhu says, GLITCH,
YOU MUST HAVE SOMETHING
THAT CAN HELP US!
Glitch opens his storage compartment, and Madhu reaches inside.
Madhu says, APPLE.
BANANA.
APPLE.
OH. OH!
Madhu takes the Earth's moon rock out of Glitch.
[Glitch beeping]
Madhu says, OUR MOON ROCK FRIEND.
Ella asks, MAGGIE.
IS THERE ANY WAY
YOU CAN HELP US?
Maggie says, I DO NOT SEE HOW, IN FACT,
THE DUST AND ROCKS ON THE MOON
WERE VERY UNHELPFUL
FOR EARTH ASTRONAUTS.
DURING APOLLO MISSIONS,
IT CUT THROUGH THEIR BOOTS.
Ella says, MAGGIE!
YOU'RE A GENIUS!
MOON ROCK IS SHARP.
Slippy says, WE CAN USE IT TO CUT THE ROPE.
Ella says, SLIPPY,
WE'LL PULL THE ROPES.
Slippy gives a thumbs up.
Ella says, MADHU, HOLD THE MOON
ROCK UNDERNEATH.
Slippy and Madhu say, GOT IT!
The purple avalanche moves closer to Ella, Slippy, Madhu and Glitch. Madhu holds the moon rock against one of the ropes. Ella and Slippy saw the rope back and forth over the pointed tip of the rock.
Ella says, COME ON!
[Ella grunting]
The rope starts to fray.
Ella says, IT'S WORKING!
She and Slippy continue to drag the rope over the rock.
[Ella grunting]
The rope snaps, and Ella climbs on top of the ball of rope. Ella pulls Glitch free and crawls over to Slippy.
Slippy says, PLEASE HURRY!
Ella pulls Slippy out of the ropes. They fly beside the ball with their boot thrusters, and Madhu wiggles out of the ropes.
Madhu cheers, WE DID IT! WE'RE SAVED!
Ella glances at the approaching avalanche.
She says, JUST IN TIME.
NOW, CAN WE GO?
Slippy smiles.
He says, SURE CAN.
Slippy flies out of the groove with Ella, Madhu and Glitch.
[Gentle music plays]
Back at the clubhouse, Ella sits on the couch with Slippy and Madhu.
Ella says, WE'LL BE HOME FOR DINNER
SOON, DAD.
She talks to her dad through a Com Bubble.
Ella says, FIRST, WE'VE GOT TO PREPARE.
Slippy holds a pair of pants.
He says, SPARE PANTS
IN CASE I SPILL SOUP.
Slippy gives Glitch a pair of pants.
Madhu says, IN CASE DINNER IS SPICY.
Glitch loads the pants and a fan from Madhu into his storage compartment. Ella gives Glitch a shovel.
[Glitch beeping]
Ella says, WHAT IF THERE'S A SNOWSTORM AND
WE HAVE TO DIG OURSELVES OUT?
Maggie says, THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Slippy says, I GUESS
PREPARATION IS IMPORTANT,
BUT WE SHOULDN'T
OVERDO IT.
Madhu says, OKAY.
BUT I'M DEFINITELY
TAKING THE MOON ROCK!
Madhu gives the moon rock to Glitch.
[Glitch beeping]
Ella says, YES, THAT'S SUPER USEFUL.
NOW, LET'S GO!
She starts to leave the clubhouse with Slippy and Madhu.
Madhu stops and says, WAIT,
I FORGOT MY SPARE PANTS!
Madhu looks at their pant-less legs.
Madhu says, OH, NEVER MIND.
Madhu turns and flies away with Ella and Slippy.
[Laughing]

[Ella giggling]
Slippy says, NOW
I JUST HAVE TO UNPACK
EVERYTHING, CHECK
IF IT WORKS, AND THEN REPACK!
Ella and Madhu glare at Slippy.
Slippy says, I'LL DO IT ON THE WAY.
LET'S GO!
He jumps on his space racer and follows Ella and Madhu off the asteroid. Elsewhere in space, Ella and Madhu look thoughtful.
Madhu says, HMM.
THIS SUPERNOVA LOOKS DIFFERENT
THAN THE ONES WE'VE SEEN BEFORE.
Ella, Slippy and Madhu face an explosion of orange and yellow clouds.
Maggie explains, BECAUSE YOU ARE LOOKING
AT A SUPERNOVA REMNANT.
THE ACTUAL EXPLOSION IS OVER.
Slippy says, WE MISSED IT!?
HOW?
Maggie says, THIS IS WHAT WAS HAPPENING
AT THE EXACT MOMENT
OF THE SUPERNOVA.
Maggie shows Ella, Slippy and Madhu back at the clubhouse. Slippy holds an apple in one hand and a banana in the other.
Slippy says, APPLE OR
BANANA?
HMM.
WHAT WOULD BE A BETTER
SUPERNOVA SNACK?
In the present, Slippy says, OH…
WE MISSED IT
BECAUSE OF ME.
SORRY.
AT LEAST I HAVE SNACKS.
[Glitch beeping]
Slippy asks, DOES ANYONE
WANT AN APPLE OR A BANANA?
He pulls an apple and a banana out of Glitch’s storage compartment. Back at the clubhouse, Slippy picks up his things scattered across the ground including the cooler and metal helmet.
[Slippy grunting]
Slippy carries his things back to the storage cabinet and a rock falls out of his grasp.
Madhu says, OH, WHAT'S THIS?
Madhu picks up the rock.
Madhu says, IT'S SO PRETTY AND...
Madhu swipes a finger across the rock.
Madhu says, SHARP.
Maggie says, THAT IS A ROCK
FROM EARTH'S MOON.
Madhu sucks on their finger and turns toward Ella and Maggie.
Maggie continues, IT IS SHARP BECAUSE THERE IS NO
WIND OR WATER THERE.
ON EARTH, WIND AND WATER
WEAR DOWN ROCKS
AND MAKE THEM SMOOTH.
BUT ON THE MOON,
EVEN DUST IS SHARP.
Madhu looks at the rock and says, YOU ARE FROM EARTH'S MOON.
OH.
Slippy says, YOU CAN HAVE IT IF YOU WANT.
Madhu says, THANKS SLIPPY!
Madhu hugs the rock and floats across the clubhouse.
Madhu says, OH.
AH.
OH
[Ella giggling]
Madhu says, I DON'T HAVE POCKETS.
GLITCH.
CAN YOU HOLD THIS?
Madhu lands and gives Glitch the rock.
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch stores the rock in his storage compartment.
[Glitch beeping]
[Clanging]
[Slippy sighing]
Slippy says, I RUINED OUR DAY, DIDN'T I?
Ella says, NO.
OUR DAY ISN'T OVER YET.
WE CAN STILL DO
LOTS OF THINGS!
LIKE ZIPLINING.
WE'VE WANTED TO DO THAT
FOR AGES.
Slippy says, YEAH, THAT SOUNDS GREAT!
BUT WE HAVE TO FIND A GOOD SPOT
FIRST.
Madhu says, OH, I KNOW!
WE CAN GO TO GANYMEDE.
IT'S ONE OF JUPITER'S MOONS,
AND IT HAS THESE BIG GROOVES
PERFECT FOR ZIPLINING!
Slippy says, GREAT.
LET'S LEAVE RIGHT NOW!
WE'LL NEED A LONG ROPE,
CARABINERS, SNACKS, A TOOLBOX,
MAYBE A GAME
IN CASE WE GET BORED?
[Glitch beeping]
Ella and Madhu glance at Glitch and frown.
Slippy continues, HMM.
BUT THEN WE'VE
GOT TO BRING A TABLE, TOO.
YOU'RE RIGHT.
LET'S PACKING MORE FUN.
He reaches into his storage cabinet.
Slippy says, WE ONLY NEED THIS,
THIS AND THIS.
He tosses ziplining equipment including a worn-down rope with carabiners, a metal rope climbing stake and a trolley to Glitch.
[Clanging]
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch stores the equipment in his storage compartment.
Ella says, LET'S GO!
[Upbeat music plays]
Slippy jumps on his space racer and Ella jumps on her moon scooter and they leave the clubhouse with Madhu. Ella, Slippy and Madhu fly among asteroids toward a grey and purple moon.
Ella says, OH, I KNOW GANYMEDE.
IT'S JUPITER'S BIGGEST MOON!
Maggie appears beside Ella.
She says, THAT IS CORRECT, ELLA.
GANYMEDE IS THE BIGGEST MOON
IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM.
Slippy says, ASTRONOMICAL.
AND WHERE ARE THE GROOVES?
Maggie says, YOU WILL FIND DEEP GROOVES
AND HIGH RIDGES
MADE OF ICE AND FROZEN
ROCK IN THE LIGHTER AREAS.
Ella says, LET'S GO!
WHOO-HOO!
She zooms toward the grey and purple moon, Ganymede, and flies over a deep, purple groove.
Madhu says, THIS IS THE PLACE.
Madhu lands at the top of a groove with Ella and Slippy.
Madhu says, GROOVY, RIGHT?
Slippy says, SUPER GROOVY, MADHU!
He glances at Glitch unpacking his ziplining gear.
Slippy says, OH, NO!
I BROUGHT MY OLD ZIPLINE STUFF
INSTEAD OF MY NEW GEAR.
Ella asks, WHY DID YOU EVEN KEEP
YOUR OLD ZIPLINE GEAR?
Slippy says, TO USE IT… ONE DAY… FOR SOMETHING.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT?
WE CAN USE IT TODAY
FOR ZIP LINING!
Madhu cheers, YES, WE CAN!
Maggie says, USING THE RIGHT
EQUIPMENT IS IMPORTANT.
Slippy says DON’T WORRY MAGGIE,
THE ONLY THING WE REALLY NEED
FOR ZIP LINING IS GRAVITY.
He runs past Ella with the gear and drops it at the edge of the groove.
[Clanging]
Slippy says, WE'LL MAKE IT WORK.
Madhu grabs the rope and carabiners.
Madhu says, I WILL SET UP.
Madhu flies down into the groove.
[Upbeat music plays]
Madhu ties a piece of rope to a metal stake stuck in a wall of the groove. Madhu flies up the groove past the rest of the rope tied to the walls of the groove, making a zig-zag
At the top, Madhu says, ALL DONE.
THAT'S A LONG ZIP LINE.
IT GOES ALL
THE WAY DOWN.
Ella and Slippy look in the groove.
[Glitch beeping]
Light purple specks splatter the walls of the groove around the metal spikes.
Slippy says, COME ON, GLITCH.
IT'LL BE AWESOME!
Ella holds a rope with a zipline disc seat.
She says, GRAVITY, DO YOUR THING.
Ella leaps off the edge of the groove onto the disc. She ziplines across a level rope.
She cheers, WOO-HOO!
Ella slides to a stop.
She says, OH, UMM GRAVITY?
WHERE'D YOU GO?
Maggie appears and says, ACTUALLY, THE GRAVITY ON
GANYMEDE IS VERY LOW,
LIKE ON EARTH'S MOON.
YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE
THE ZIP LINES
MUCH STEEPER FOR THIS
TO WORK.
Madhu says, ON IT!
Madhu flies into the groove. Later in the groove, Madhu gives Ella and Slippy a thumbs-up and flies up to the edge. Ella ziplines down a rope tied to a metal stake deep down in the groove.
Ella says, WOAH!
INTERSTELLAR!
She pulls a lever on her zipline trolley and slows down. At the other end of the rope, Ella unclips herself and hops off her seat onto a small ledge. Elle gives Slippy a thumbs up. Slippy hops onto his disc seat and ziplines down the groove.
Slippy cheers, WEEE!
He stops at the other end of the rope and unclips himself. He hops down onto the ledge beside Ella.
[Slippy laughing]
[Madhu yelping]
Madhu warns, WATCH OUT!
Madhu ziplines toward Ella and Slippy with Glitch. Madhu’s trolley hits Slippy’s, and Madhu falls off their disc seat onto their back.
[Dramatic music briefly plays]
Madhu says, PHEW.
I FORGOT WHERE
THE BREAK WAS.
[Ella and Slippy laughing]
Ella ziplines down another rope. Madhu flies beside her.
Ella says, LOOK, NO HANDS.
She lets go of the rope on her seat.
Madhu says, NO ROPE!
Madhu spreads their arms.
Madhu cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Glitch ziplines down the groove.
[Glitch beeping]
Slippy ziplines while lying on his stomach on his seat.
Slippy says, WEEE!
[Slippy laughing]
His trolley snags against the rope, and he jerks to a stop.
[Slippy yelping]
[Dramatic music plays]
Slippy swings into a sitting position on his seat.
Slippy says, UM… I THINK I'M STUCK.
Ella ziplines down to Slippy. Madhu and Glitch fly behind Ella and Slippy.
Slippy says, THE ROPE IS FRAYED.
Ella stands on her seat and looks at the frayed rope.
She says, WE NEED SOMETHING TO FIX IT.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TAPE?
Slippy says, NOPE.
DIDN'T PACK THAT.
BUT WE DON'T NEED
TAPE TO HAVE FUN, RIGHT?
Madhu says, THAT'S TRUE.
I'VE OFTEN HAD FUN WITHOUT TAPE.
Madhu pulls Ella and Slippy’s trolleys off the frayed rope.
Ella says, PROBLEM SOLVED.
SEE SLIPPY.
THIS DAY IS GOING GREAT!
Slippy smiles.
Ella cheers, INTERSTELLAR!
She ziplines across the groove on another rope. Halfway, her carabiner falls off the rope.
[Dramatic music plays]
Ella says, OH, NO!
She clings to her rope. Elsewhere in the groove, Glitch ziplines on one of the seats.
[Glitch beeping]
A metal stake in the wall behind Glitch falls out, and Glitch swings toward the other wall.
[Glitch beeping frantically]
Ella says, NO!
She speeds down her rope.
[Glitch beeping frantically]
Glitch’s trolley slams against the groove wall. Glitch spins with his seat.
[Glitch beeping]
On another rope, Slippy pulls the brake lever on his trolley, and it snaps off.
Slippy says, HUH?
He speeds toward the other side of the groove.
Slippy chants, I CAN STOP, I CAN STOP, I CAN STOP!
Using the thrusters in his boots, Slippy slows to a stop close to the wall. Slippy unclips himself and jumps down onto a ledge.
Slippy says, SEE?
I COULD STOP.
He wipes his forehead. Part of the wall around a metal stake melts, and the stake slips downward. On another rope, Slippy ziplines down to Ella, Glitch and Madhu sitting on a ledge.
Ella says, WELL, THAT WAS… FUN.
Slippy joins Ella, Glitch and Madhu.
Slippy says, AND WE'RE NOT DONE YET.
WE'RE ONLY HALFWAY DOWN!
He points toward the bottom of the groove. Ella and Madhu look over the ledge. One of the metal stakes starts to wiggle loose. A single strand of string holds a frayed rope together.
Madhu says, MAYBE WE SHOULD CALL IT A DAY.
I'M TIRED.
AND THE ROPES LOOK TIRED TOO.
Slippy says, BUT WE'RE HAVING FUN!
WE'LL MAKE IT WORK.
I'LL SHOW YOU.
Ella says, ACTUALLY, UH, SLIPPY…
Slippy ziplines across the groove.
He says, WEEE!
SEE?
THIS IS TOTALLY FUN –
[Slippy yelping]
The metal stake in the groove wall behind Slippy slides out. The stake opposite comes out of the wall and Slippy falls toward the bottom of the groove.
[Dramatic music plays]
[Slippy yelling]
Ella and Madhu shout, SLIPPY!
Slippy yells, WHOA!
A rope wrapped around him, Slippy slows his fall with his boot thrusters and zooms around the other ropes
Slippy yells, WHOA!
WHOA!
Maggie appears and says, WARNING,
GANYMEDE'S
ICE CRUST HAS A WEAK STRUCTURE.
IF SLIPPY USES HIS BOOTS
TOO MUCH,
IT MIGHT TRIGGER A COLLAPSE.
Slippy’s thrusters melt a section of the groove wall.
[Slippy yelling]
Madhu dives off the ledge. Ella jumps on Madhu’s back, and they fly toward Slippy with Glitch.
Ella says, DON'T WORRY.
WE'VE GOT YOU!
Ella flies using the thrusters in her boots. On either side of Slippy, Ella and Madhu each grab a rope. The ropes fall from the walls, and everyone drops further down the groove.
Madhu says, BUT THE ROPES HAVE GOT US!
Ella and Slippy yell, WHOA!
[Slippy wailing]
Ella, Slippy, Madhu and Glitch hang from ropes tangled in a ball of ropes.
[Intense music plays]
Ella looks around and up toward the top of the groove.
[Ella grunting]
Ella tries to escape the ball of tangled rope.
She says, I'M STUCK.
CAN ANYONE UNTIE SOME
OF THESE KNOTS?
Madhu says, THEY'RE TOO TIGHT!
Slippy asks, DOES ANYONE HAVE SCISSORS?
Ella, Madhu and Glitch shake their heads.
Slippy asks, WHAT ABOUT SNIPERS?
OR CLIPPERS?
Ella, Madhu and Glitch shake their heads.
Ella says, I GUESS WE ALWAYS EXPECT
YOU TO BRING EVERYTHING.
She tries to move, and the ball of ropes bounces against the wall.
[Ella grunting]
[Slippy groaning]
Slippy groans, WHY DO I ALWAYS
HAVE TO GET SUCH GREAT ROPES.
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch takes a laser cutter out of his storage compartment.
Slippy says, GREAT IDEA,
GLITCH!
HE CAN USE HIS CUTTING BEAM!
[Madhu cheering]
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch looks up the wall to the single metal stake holding the ropes.
[Glitch beeping]
Glitch fires the laser toward the single stake, and the ball of rope turns. The laser blasts up the wall and cuts through the purple rock
[Rumbling]
The wall shakes and a large cloud of dust and rocks starts to fall toward the group.
Slippy asks, IS THAT AN AVALANCHE?
Maggie appears and says, IT IS!
LUCKILY,
THE GRAVITY IS WEAK ON GANYMEDE,
SO THE AVALANCHE WILL COME DOWN
SLOWLY.
STILL, WE MUST LEAVE
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Madhu says, GLITCH,
YOU MUST HAVE SOMETHING
THAT CAN HELP US!
Glitch opens his storage compartment, and Madhu reaches inside.
Madhu says, APPLE.
BANANA.
APPLE.
OH. OH!
Madhu takes the Earth's moon rock out of Glitch.
[Glitch beeping]
Madhu says, OUR MOON ROCK FRIEND.
Ella asks, MAGGIE.
IS THERE ANY WAY
YOU CAN HELP US?
Maggie says, I DO NOT SEE HOW, IN FACT,
THE DUST AND ROCKS ON THE MOON
WERE VERY UNHELPFUL
FOR EARTH ASTRONAUTS.
DURING APOLLO MISSIONS,
IT CUT THROUGH THEIR BOOTS.
Ella says, MAGGIE!
YOU'RE A GENIUS!
MOON ROCK IS SHARP.
Slippy says, WE CAN USE IT TO CUT THE ROPE.
Ella says, SLIPPY,
WE'LL PULL THE ROPES.
Slippy gives a thumbs up.
Ella says, MADHU, HOLD THE MOON
ROCK UNDERNEATH.
Slippy and Madhu say, GOT IT!
The purple avalanche moves closer to Ella, Slippy, Madhu and Glitch. Madhu holds the moon rock against one of the ropes. Ella and Slippy saw the rope back and forth over the pointed tip of the rock.
Ella says, COME ON!
[Ella grunting]
The rope starts to fray.
Ella says, IT'S WORKING!
She and Slippy continue to drag the rope over the rock.
[Ella grunting]
The rope snaps, and Ella climbs on top of the ball of rope. Ella pulls Glitch free and crawls over to Slippy.
Slippy says, PLEASE HURRY!
Ella pulls Slippy out of the ropes. They fly beside the ball with their boot thrusters, and Madhu wiggles out of the ropes.
Madhu cheers, WE DID IT! WE'RE SAVED!
Ella glances at the approaching avalanche.
She says, JUST IN TIME.
NOW, CAN WE GO?
Slippy smiles.
He says, SURE CAN.
Slippy flies out of the groove with Ella, Madhu and Glitch.
[Gentle music plays]
Back at the clubhouse, Ella sits on the couch with Slippy and Madhu.
Ella says, WE'LL BE HOME FOR DINNER
SOON, DAD.
She talks to her dad through a Com Bubble.
Ella says, FIRST, WE'VE GOT TO PREPARE.
Slippy holds a pair of pants.
He says, SPARE PANTS
IN CASE I SPILL SOUP.
Slippy gives Glitch a pair of pants.
Madhu says, IN CASE DINNER IS SPICY.
Glitch loads the pants and a fan from Madhu into his storage compartment. Ella gives Glitch a shovel.
[Glitch beeping]
Ella says, WHAT IF THERE'S A SNOWSTORM AND
WE HAVE TO DIG OURSELVES OUT?
Maggie says, THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Slippy says, I GUESS
PREPARATION IS IMPORTANT,
BUT WE SHOULDN'T
OVERDO IT.
Madhu says, OKAY.
BUT I'M DEFINITELY
TAKING THE MOON ROCK!
Madhu gives the moon rock to Glitch.
[Glitch beeping]
Ella says, YES, THAT'S SUPER USEFUL.
NOW, LET'S GO!
She starts to leave the clubhouse with Slippy and Madhu.
Madhu stops and says, WAIT,
I FORGOT MY SPARE PANTS!
Madhu looks at their pant-less legs.
Madhu says, OH, NEVER MIND.
Madhu turns and flies away with Ella and Slippy.
[Laughing]
[Soft music plays]
