[Bright music plays]
A child says, WHEE!
[Giggling]

[Soft music plays]
At home, 8-year-old Ella, who has curly, dark brown hair, runs down a staircase with a toy rocket ship. She wears a teal space suit and a helmet with animal ears.
[Giggling]
Ella runs into the living room and gives her little sister, Tilly, the rocket ship.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, COME WITH ME, TO THE STARS.
Ella’s mom picks up Tilly and smiles. Ella runs outside and past her dad.
The singer sings, THE GALAXY IS OURS!
Ella waves to her dad.
She says, BYE DAD!
Ella jumps onto her moon scooter, a circular spacecraft, and takes off.
People say, LET'S GO!
The singer sings, LOOK AT ALL THE WONDER. INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies over a planet with Madhu, a blue and green alien, Slippy, a black-haired boy who flies a red spacecraft and Glitch, Slippy’s small robot.
The signer sings, LOOK UP SO MUCH SPLENDOUR. INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies on Madhu.
The singer sings, LOOK OUT FOR ADVENTURE.
Ella and Slippy explore a planet together with Maggie, Ella’s A.I. star. Elsewhere in space, Slippy and Madhu look startled.
They say, WOAH!
They serve away from Ella and her moon scooter.
The singer sings, COME EXPLORE THE MILKY WAY!
Ella and her family sit on a spacecraft.
The singer sings, LOOK UP! INTERSTELLAR ELLA.
Ella, her family, and her friends admire a giant colourful cloud together. Text reads, t.v.o. kids Presents, Interstellar Ella.
[Gentle music plays]
At a museum on the moon, Slippy, Tilly and Madhu hide behind one of the many ball-shaped displays holding different items.
From nearby, Ella counts, TEN, NINE, EIGHT, SEVEN.
She stands by a model space shuttle with her hands over her eyes.
Ella counts, SIX, FIVE, FOUR.
Tilly bumps into the display. The ball wobbles.
Slippy whispers,
Tilly whispers, SORRY, BUT WE CAN'T HIDE HERE.
She glances at the ball.
Tilly says, IT'S TOO SQUISHY.
Madhu asks, WHAT ABOUT OVER THERE?
Madhu flies over to another display with Slippy and Tilly. Glitch follows.
Ella counts, THREE, TWO, ONE.
Slippy, Tilly and Madhu hide.
Ella says, FREEZE!
She flies around the museum with her moon boots. She wears a blindfold over her eyes.
Ella says, ROCKET!
Tilly and Slippy call out, BOOSTERS!
Madhu says, OOH! WHERE?
Tilly whispers, NO, THAT’S THE GAME MADHU.
Slippy nods.
Tilly whispers, ELLA SAYS ROCKET, WE SEE BOOSTERS, AND SHE'S GOT TO FIND US.
She turns toward Ella. Ella slowly flies around with her hands out in front of her.
Ella says, ROCKET!
Tilly and Slippy say, BOOSTERS!
Ella flies past Tilly, Slippy and Madhu and toward the model space shuttle.
Tilly warns, WATCH OUT ELLA! SLOW DOWN!
Ella flies into the space shuttle. She falls and knocks it into the air. Madhu stretches their arms and catches the rocket. Ella takes off the blindfold.
Ella says, OOPS! SORRY, TILLY.
Madhu sets the model space shuttle upright on its boosters.
Ella says, I NEARLY KNOCKED OVER YOUR ENDEAVOUR MODEL.
Tilly and Slippy walk over to Ella.
Slippy says, WHOA! TILL YOU MADE THIS?
Tilly picks up the space shuttle, the Endeavour.
She says, MOM AND ELLA HELPED ME, A LOT! BUT, YEAH, IT'S A SURPRISE FOR DAD. SO SHHHH! HE'LL BE HERE SOON.
Madhu says, I LOVE SURPRISES AND SHUTTLES.
Tilly says, ME TOO! DR. MAE JEMISON FLEW IN THIS ONE. SHE’S AWESOME.
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch and projects a picture of an astronaut.
Ella says, IF YOU HAVE A GOAL THAT'S VERY, VERY FAR OUT APPROACH IN LITTLE STEPS TO GET THERE FASTER.
Tilly says, YEAH. LITTLE STEPS LIKE THIS.
She jumps forward with the Endeavour.
[Tilly grunting]
Ella and Tilly’s dad appears behind Tilly in a com bubble.
He says, HI GIRLS!
Tilly hides the Endeavour model behind her back.
Dad says, I'VE JUST FINISHED WORK FOR TODAY. I'LL BE THERE IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES
Tilly says, I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU!
Dad says, OH! CAN’T WAIT!
He waves, and the com bubble pops.
[Popping]
Tilly puts the Endeavour model down.
Slippy asks, DOES THIS THING FLY?
Tilly says, SURE DOES!
She takes a remote control out of the Endeavour and presses a button.
[Rumbling]
The ground shakes, and everyone’s eyes widen.
Madhu says, WOO, YOUR SHUTTLE SURE IS STRONG.
Ella says, THAT’S NOT THE SHUTTLE.
Madhu puts their head beside Ella’s tummy.
Madhu asks, IS IT YOUR TUMMY?
Slippy says, I DID HAVE CHILI FOR LUNCH.
[Rumbling]
The ground shakes. Tilly hugs the Endeavour model.
Madhu says, WHOO-HOO-HOO-HOO! RUMBLE TUMMY PARTY!
Madhu wiggles their arms. Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
Maggie says, ACTUALLY, THE RUMBLING IS NOT FROM SLIPPY'S TUMMY.
She shows a projection of the moon with cracks running through it. A crack appears under Ella’s boot.
Maggie says, THE MOON IS SHRINKING, WHICH CAUSES THE OUTER CRUST TO CRACK AND TO BREAK –
[Rumbling]
The ground falls apart under everyone’s feet.
Everyone yells, WOAH!
They fall down a tunnel. Boulders roll down behind them and block the exit.
Ella says, PHEW. IS EVERYONE OKAY?
Slippy says, YEAH.
Madhu says, YUP!
Tilly wails, NO!
She looks at her Endeavour model.
Tilly says, THERE'S A SCRATCH IN MY ENDEAVOR MODEL.
She brushes away dirt on the Endeavour.
Tilly says, OH, IT'S JUST DIRT. I'M OKAY.
Glitch taps Slippy’s boot.
[Glitch chittering]
Slippy says, YOU'RE RIGHT, PAL. OUR WAY OUT IS BLOCKED. WHERE ARE WE, ANYWAY?
Madhu glances toward a tunnel.
Madhu says, OOH. I KNOW. A TUNNEL!
Maggie appears and says, IT IS BELIEF THAT LAVA ONCE RAN UNDER THE MOON'S SURFACE CREATING TUNNELS.
She shows a project of lava sloshing around inside the moon.
Ella says, WHOA. IS THERE STILL LAVA IN HERE?
Maggie says, NO. THE LAST VOLCANOES ON THE MOON ERUPTED 100 MILLION YEARS AGO. THE LAVA IS LONG GONE. ALL THAT IS LEFT IS A BIG NETWORK OF TUNNELS.
Tilly says, COOL. BUT WE'VE GOT TO GO BACK TO SHOW DAD THE SHUTTLE.
Ella runs up to the first tunnel.
She asks, WE CAN'T GET BACK UP THIS WAY. MAGGIE, IS THERE ANOTHER WAY OUT?
Slippy picks up a rock.
Maggie says, UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO MAP OF THE MOON'S TUNNELS.
Tilly says, SO WE'RE STUCK. BUT, DAD S SURPRISE.
Ella says, DON'T WORRY, TILLS. WE'LL FIND A WAY OUT OF HERE. PROMISE?
She taps Tilly on the nose, and Tilly smiles. Ella and Tilly glance at Slippy, who looks at the rock thoughtfully.
Slippy says, I’VE GOT AN IDEA! COME ON, GLITCH!
Glitch uses a welding torch on a piece of metal, and sparks fly.
[Sparks snapping]
Slippy tightens a bolt with his wrench. He and Slippy build a device with a large cone-shaped drill attached.
Slippy says, TADA! IT'S A TUNNELER! WE CAN TUNNEL OUR WAY OUT OF HERE. GREAT
Ella says, THINKING SLIP, LETS TUNNEL!
Slippy says, HERE IT GOES!
He drills into a rock blocking the first tunnel with his tunneler.
[Whirring]
[Drilling]
[Slippy grunting]
The tip of the tunneler breaks.
Slippy says, THE TUNNELER ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO GO THROUGH THE MOON ROCK.
Madhu asks, WHY NOT?
Maggie says, EARTH'S MOON IS VERY DENSE.
Tilly asks, DENSE?
Maggie says, YES. LIKE HOW BITING INTO A BANANA IS SOFT. BUT BITING INTO A CARROT IS HARDER BECAUSE THE CARROT IS MORE DENSE.
Tilly says, SO WE'LL BE STUCK HERE FOREVER?!
Ella says, COME ON. IF WE USE OUR ROCKET BOOTS, WE'LL FIND A WAY OUT OF HERE IN NO TIME!
[Upbeat music plays]
She flies down the second tunnel with Tilly, Slippy and Madhu. The group enters an opening with another tunnel in the floor.
Slippy says, GUESS THE ONLY WAY IS DOWN.
Tilly says, DOWN? BUT WE NEED TO GO UP.
Ella says, I'M SURE WE'LL FIND A WAY BACK UP.
[Upbeat music continues]
Slippy leads the way down the tunnel in the floor. The friends travel through a curved tunnel to a fork in the path. They stop and look at two tunnels.
Madhu says, THESE TUNNELS ALL LOOK THE SAME.
[Rumbling]
The ground shakes.
Tilly says, OH, NO MORE RUMBLING.
She hugs her Endeavor model.
[Tilly whimpering]
Ella says, LET’S KEEP GOING, EVERYONE!
She and Tilly fly with their moon boots.
Slippy says, WAIT! CAN WE STOP FOR A SECOND? AND THINK OF A NEW PLAN?
Ella says, RIGHT. GOOD IDEA. HMM. NEW PLAN. NEW PLAN. GOT IT. LET'S GO. FASTER!
She zooms down the tunnel to the left with Tilly. Slippy and Madhu share a look. Madhu shrugs. Slippy looks worried. He and Madhu fly after Ella and Tilly.
[Upbeat music plays]
Behind the others, Madhu looks around. Ella, Tilly and Slippy zoom down one tunnel. Madhu glides down another.
[Madhu humming]
Ella, Tilly and Slippy land. Glitch hops out of Slippy’s backpack.
Tilly says, HERE AGAIN!
She looks at the fork in the path.
Tilly says, THIS IS LIKE A FOREVER MAZE.
[Glitch chittering]
Glitch shines a light from his eyes and turns to Slippy.
Slippy says, GREAT IDEA, GLITCH! WE NEED LIGHT!
Ella says, WHAT IF YOU GLOW SUPER BRIGHT AND LIGHT UP MORE TUNNELS FOR US MADHU?
She looks behind her and finds Madhu gone.
Ella says, MADHU?
Slippy says, WAIT, WHERE IS MADHU?
Elsewhere under the surface of the moon, Madhu glows.
Madhu says, YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL ROCK. AND YOU'RE A BEAUTIFUL ROCK. AND YOU'RE A REALLY BEAUTIFUL ROCK.
Madhu points to different rocks in a tunnel. Madhu stops and frowns.
Madhu says, WAIT, FRIENDS?
Madhu frantically looks around.
Madhu says, WHERE DID YOU GO? OH NO. FRIENDS?!
Madhu turns around.
Madhu says, HMM. WHAT DOES SLIPPY SAY? STOP AND THINK UP A NEW PLAN.
Madhu stops and lies against the tunnel.
Madhu says, I CAN DO THIS.
Vibrations ripple through Madhu’s head. Madhu turns and looks at the tunnel wall.
[Gentle drumming]
Madhu says, OH! WAS THAT A VIBRATION?
Madhu pounds the wall with their fist and presses their head against the rock. Their head vibrates. Madhu smiles.
Madhu says, OH, TUNNEL FRIEND, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL ME?
Madhu flies down the tunnel. Elsewhere, under the moon's surface, Ella, Slippy, and Tilly search a dark tunnel.
Ella calls out, MADHU! WHERE ARE YOU?
She looks thoughtful.
Ella says, HMM.
[Ella gasping]
Ella calls out, ROCKET!
Slippy cheers, BOOSTERS!
He raises and then lowers his fist.
Slippy says, OH, YOU WANT TO HEAR IF MADHU SAYS IT BACK?
Ella smiles and nods.
Slippy says, GOOD IDEA.
Ella calls out, ROCKET!
She, Tilly and Slippy land. Tilly frowns. Slippy shrugs. Ella, Tilly and Slippy fly further down the tunnel. In another tunnel, Madhu drags their hand along the wall.
[Scratching]
Madhu says, NO, DON'T GO AWAY TUNNEL FRIEND HOW DO I TELL THEM I'M FRIENDLY? OH, MAYBE WITH MY RUMBLE DANCE!
Madhu dances. They tap their hands against the wall and stomp their feet. Madhu presses their head against the wall. Vibrations ripple through Madhu’s head.
[Vibrations drumming]
[Madhu giggling]
Madhu says, OH, YEAH. YOU'VE GOT SOME GREAT RHYTHM TUNNEL FRIEND!
Madhu continues down the tunnel and taps the wall. Elsewhere under the moon's surface, Ella, Tilly, and Slippy fly into a clearing with tunnels surrounding the walls and floor.
Ella says, WOW, LOOK AT THAT.
Slippy says, WOAH.
Tilly says, THIS PLACE IS HUGE!
Ella says, HOW ARE WE GOING TO FIND MADHU?
She walks over to a wall.
[Ella sighing]
Ella slides down to the ground and hugs her knees.
[Vibrations drumming]
Rocks beside Ella tremble.
Ella says, WEIRD. IT'S LIKE SOMEONE'S DRUMMING ON THE WALL. CHECK THIS OUT.
Slippy runs over and puts his ear to the wall.
He says, I DON’T FEEL ANYTHING.
[Vibrations drumming]
Slippy yelps, WOAH!
Ella asks, COULD THAT BE MADHU?
Tilly says, THERE’S SO MANY TUNNELS. WHICH WAY DID MADHU GO?
Slippy flies around the space. He puts his ear to the rock in different places. He pauses near a tunnel.
[Vibrations banging]
Slippy says, THE DRUMS GET STRONGER THIS WAY.
Ella and Tilly follow Slippy up the tunnel. Ella and Slippy look around the tunnel and fly into Madhu.
[Grunting]
[Yelping]
Ella, Slippy and Madhu fall.
Tilly says, MADHU!
Madhu says, OH HI! THERE YOU ARE. HAVE YOU SEEN ANY TUNNEL FRIENDS? THEY MIGHT KNOW THE WAY OUT. I THINK THEY'RE CLOSE. LISTEN...
Madhu taps the wall.
[Drumming]
Madhu presses their head to the wall.
[Vibrations drumming]
Vibrations ripple through Madhu.
[Madhu giggling]
Slippy says, THAT'S NOT A TUNNEL FRIEND, MADHU. YOU’RE FEELING YOUR OWN DRUMS.
Maggie appears and says, VIBRATIONS CAN TRAVEL THROUGH ROCK. AND IF THERE IS A GAP IN THE ROCK, SOME WILL BOUNCE BACK.
Ella says, A GAP IN THE ROCK. LIKE A TUNNEL! I HAVE AN IDEA!
She leads Tilly and her friends through the clearing.
Ella says, VIBRATIONS. WE CAN USE THEM TO MAKE A MAP TO GET US OUT OF HERE.
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
Ella says, MAGGIE IF WE MAKE REALLY BIG VIBRATIONS...
Slippy says, MAGGIE CAN FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY STOP!
Ella knocks on the space beside a tunnel.
[Knocking]
Maggie tracks sound waves through the tunnel and makes a map.
Madhu says, SO WE CAN MAKE A MAP TO GET OUT OF HERE!
Ella, Slippy, Tilly and Madhu bang on the walls. Sound waves roll across the space.
[Vibrations drumming]
[Beeping]
Maggie’s map expands. Tilly looks worried.
Tilly says, CAN WE HURRY? DAD WILL BE HERE SOON.
Ella says, WE'LL NEED SOMETHING THAT MOVES FAST. IF WE WANT TO MAKE THIS QUICK.
Slippy glances toward Tilly’s Endeavor model space shuttle. Tilly covers the model with her body.
Tilly says, NO WAY!
She picks up the Endeavor and runs away.
Tilly says, THIS IS A PRESENT FOR DAD.
Slippy says, BUT IF I ATTACH THE TUNNELER, IT CAN BE LIKE A GIANT PENCIL AND DRAW US A MAP OUT OF HERE.
Ella crouches beside Tilly.
She says, I KNOW YOU MADE THE SHUTTLE SPECIAL FOR DAD, BUT WE NEED IT TO GET OUT OF HERE.
Tilly says, BUT, BUT.
Ella asks, WHAT DID OUR FAVORITE ASTRONAUT, DR. MAE JEMISON, ALWAYS SAY?
Tilly says, TAKE LITTLE STEPS…
Ella says with Tilly, …TO GET THERE FASTER.
Tilly says, ENDEAVOR SHUTTLE, SHOW US THE WAY!
She holds up the Endeavor.
[Intense music plays]
The Endeavor model glides down a tunnel with Slippy’s tunneler drill. The drill bangs against the floor of the tunnel and releases sound waves.
[Endeavor whirring]
[Drill banging]
In the clearing, Tilly steers the Endeavor with the remote control using Maggie’s map.
[Map beeping]
[Drill whirring]
On Maggie’s map, more tunnels appear. Ella, Slippy and Madhu watch intently. The Endeavor reaches the end of a tunnel and flies back to the moon's surface.
[Celebratory music plays]
Tilly says, MY SHUTTLE FOUND THE WAY OUT!
Ella cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Slippy cheers, YES!
Ella and Slippy high-five. Madhu claps.
Ella says, LET’S GO!
She flies out of the tunnel with Tilly, Slippy, Madhu and Maggie. Later, in the middle of the moon museum, Tilly sets up the model Endeavor on display.
Ella says, GOOD THING DAD'S NOT HERE YET.
Tilly says, BUT THE SHUTTLE'S ALL SCRATCHED AND BUMPY.
Maggie says, ACTUALLY, THE REAL ENDEAVOR, SPACE SHUTTLE IS ALSO QUITE BANGED UP.
She projects an image of the Endeavor.
Tilly says, COOL! MY SHUTTLE'S LIKE THE REAL ONE NOW.
[Everyone laughing]
[Whooshing]
Dad walks into the museum and waves.
He says, HI, GIRLS.
Tilly blocks the Endeavor with her body. Dad pauses in front of her, and she flies away from the display.
Dad says, WOW! THE SHUTTLE ENDEAVOR! DID YOU MAKE IT, TILLY?
Tilly nods and runs into Dad’s arms.
[Tilly giggling]
Dad says, THAT'S INCREDIBLE!
Slippy says, IT REALLY IS. IT HELPED US GET OUT OF THE TUNNEL WHERE WE GOT TRAPPED AFTER THE MOON RUMBLED!
Madhu says, OH, DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE RUMBLE DANCE?
Dad says, SURE!
Madhu wiggles their arms and legs. Dad does Madhu’s rumble dance.
[Madhu laughing]
[Dad chuckling]
Dad says, I LIKE IT, MADHU!
[Rumbling]
Ella frowns.
She says, UH-OH. I FEEL ANOTHER RUMBLING.
Slippy says, THIS TIME IT WAS MY STOMACH. TIME TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT!
[Everyone laughing]
[Gentle music plays]

She says, MOM AND ELLA HELPED ME, A LOT! BUT, YEAH, IT'S A SURPRISE FOR DAD. SO SHHHH! HE'LL BE HERE SOON.
Madhu says, I LOVE SURPRISES AND SHUTTLES.
Tilly says, ME TOO! DR. MAE JEMISON FLEW IN THIS ONE. SHE’S AWESOME.
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch and projects a picture of an astronaut.
Ella says, IF YOU HAVE A GOAL THAT'S VERY, VERY FAR OUT APPROACH IN LITTLE STEPS TO GET THERE FASTER.
Tilly says, YEAH. LITTLE STEPS LIKE THIS.
She jumps forward with the Endeavour.
[Tilly grunting]
Ella and Tilly’s dad appears behind Tilly in a com bubble.
He says, HI GIRLS!
Tilly hides the Endeavour model behind her back.
Dad says, I'VE JUST FINISHED WORK FOR TODAY. I'LL BE THERE IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES
Tilly says, I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU!
Dad says, OH! CAN’T WAIT!
He waves, and the com bubble pops.
[Popping]
Tilly puts the Endeavour model down.
Slippy asks, DOES THIS THING FLY?
Tilly says, SURE DOES!
She takes a remote control out of the Endeavour and presses a button.
[Rumbling]
The ground shakes, and everyone’s eyes widen.
Madhu says, WOO, YOUR SHUTTLE SURE IS STRONG.
Ella says, THAT’S NOT THE SHUTTLE.
Madhu puts their head beside Ella’s tummy.
Madhu asks, IS IT YOUR TUMMY?
Slippy says, I DID HAVE CHILI FOR LUNCH.
[Rumbling]
The ground shakes. Tilly hugs the Endeavour model.
Madhu says, WHOO-HOO-HOO-HOO! RUMBLE TUMMY PARTY!
Madhu wiggles their arms. Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
Maggie says, ACTUALLY, THE RUMBLING IS NOT FROM SLIPPY'S TUMMY.
She shows a projection of the moon with cracks running through it. A crack appears under Ella’s boot.
Maggie says, THE MOON IS SHRINKING, WHICH CAUSES THE OUTER CRUST TO CRACK AND TO BREAK –
[Rumbling]
The ground falls apart under everyone’s feet.
Everyone yells, WOAH!
They fall down a tunnel. Boulders roll down behind them and block the exit.
Ella says, PHEW. IS EVERYONE OKAY?
Slippy says, YEAH.
Madhu says, YUP!
Tilly wails, NO!
She looks at her Endeavour model.
Tilly says, THERE'S A SCRATCH IN MY ENDEAVOR MODEL.
She brushes away dirt on the Endeavour.
Tilly says, OH, IT'S JUST DIRT. I'M OKAY.
Glitch taps Slippy’s boot.
[Glitch chittering]
Slippy says, YOU'RE RIGHT, PAL. OUR WAY OUT IS BLOCKED. WHERE ARE WE, ANYWAY?
Madhu glances toward a tunnel.
Madhu says, OOH. I KNOW. A TUNNEL!
Maggie appears and says, IT IS BELIEF THAT LAVA ONCE RAN UNDER THE MOON'S SURFACE CREATING TUNNELS.
She shows a project of lava sloshing around inside the moon.
Ella says, WHOA. IS THERE STILL LAVA IN HERE?
Maggie says, NO. THE LAST VOLCANOES ON THE MOON ERUPTED 100 MILLION YEARS AGO. THE LAVA IS LONG GONE. ALL THAT IS LEFT IS A BIG NETWORK OF TUNNELS.
Tilly says, COOL. BUT WE'VE GOT TO GO BACK TO SHOW DAD THE SHUTTLE.
Ella runs up to the first tunnel.
She asks, WE CAN'T GET BACK UP THIS WAY. MAGGIE, IS THERE ANOTHER WAY OUT?
Slippy picks up a rock.
Maggie says, UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO MAP OF THE MOON'S TUNNELS.
Tilly says, SO WE'RE STUCK. BUT, DAD S SURPRISE.
Ella says, DON'T WORRY, TILLS. WE'LL FIND A WAY OUT OF HERE. PROMISE?
She taps Tilly on the nose, and Tilly smiles. Ella and Tilly glance at Slippy, who looks at the rock thoughtfully.
Slippy says, I’VE GOT AN IDEA! COME ON, GLITCH!
Glitch uses a welding torch on a piece of metal, and sparks fly.
[Sparks snapping]
Slippy tightens a bolt with his wrench. He and Slippy build a device with a large cone-shaped drill attached.
Slippy says, TADA! IT'S A TUNNELER! WE CAN TUNNEL OUR WAY OUT OF HERE. GREAT
Ella says, THINKING SLIP, LETS TUNNEL!
Slippy says, HERE IT GOES!
He drills into a rock blocking the first tunnel with his tunneler.
[Whirring]
[Drilling]
[Slippy grunting]
The tip of the tunneler breaks.
Slippy says, THE TUNNELER ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO GO THROUGH THE MOON ROCK.
Madhu asks, WHY NOT?
Maggie says, EARTH'S MOON IS VERY DENSE.
Tilly asks, DENSE?
Maggie says, YES. LIKE HOW BITING INTO A BANANA IS SOFT. BUT BITING INTO A CARROT IS HARDER BECAUSE THE CARROT IS MORE DENSE.
Tilly says, SO WE'LL BE STUCK HERE FOREVER?!
Ella says, COME ON. IF WE USE OUR ROCKET BOOTS, WE'LL FIND A WAY OUT OF HERE IN NO TIME!
[Upbeat music plays]
She flies down the second tunnel with Tilly, Slippy and Madhu. The group enters an opening with another tunnel in the floor.
Slippy says, GUESS THE ONLY WAY IS DOWN.
Tilly says, DOWN? BUT WE NEED TO GO UP.
Ella says, I'M SURE WE'LL FIND A WAY BACK UP.
[Upbeat music continues]
Slippy leads the way down the tunnel in the floor. The friends travel through a curved tunnel to a fork in the path. They stop and look at two tunnels.
Madhu says, THESE TUNNELS ALL LOOK THE SAME.
[Rumbling]
The ground shakes.
Tilly says, OH, NO MORE RUMBLING.
She hugs her Endeavor model.
[Tilly whimpering]
Ella says, LET’S KEEP GOING, EVERYONE!
She and Tilly fly with their moon boots.
Slippy says, WAIT! CAN WE STOP FOR A SECOND? AND THINK OF A NEW PLAN?
Ella says, RIGHT. GOOD IDEA. HMM. NEW PLAN. NEW PLAN. GOT IT. LET'S GO. FASTER!
She zooms down the tunnel to the left with Tilly. Slippy and Madhu share a look. Madhu shrugs. Slippy looks worried. He and Madhu fly after Ella and Tilly.
[Upbeat music plays]
Behind the others, Madhu looks around. Ella, Tilly and Slippy zoom down one tunnel. Madhu glides down another.
[Madhu humming]
Ella, Tilly and Slippy land. Glitch hops out of Slippy’s backpack.
Tilly says, HERE AGAIN!
She looks at the fork in the path.
Tilly says, THIS IS LIKE A FOREVER MAZE.
[Glitch chittering]
Glitch shines a light from his eyes and turns to Slippy.
Slippy says, GREAT IDEA, GLITCH! WE NEED LIGHT!
Ella says, WHAT IF YOU GLOW SUPER BRIGHT AND LIGHT UP MORE TUNNELS FOR US MADHU?
She looks behind her and finds Madhu gone.
Ella says, MADHU?
Slippy says, WAIT, WHERE IS MADHU?
Elsewhere under the surface of the moon, Madhu glows.
Madhu says, YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL ROCK. AND YOU'RE A BEAUTIFUL ROCK. AND YOU'RE A REALLY BEAUTIFUL ROCK.
Madhu points to different rocks in a tunnel. Madhu stops and frowns.
Madhu says, WAIT, FRIENDS?
Madhu frantically looks around.
Madhu says, WHERE DID YOU GO? OH NO. FRIENDS?!
Madhu turns around.
Madhu says, HMM. WHAT DOES SLIPPY SAY? STOP AND THINK UP A NEW PLAN.
Madhu stops and lies against the tunnel.
Madhu says, I CAN DO THIS.
Vibrations ripple through Madhu’s head. Madhu turns and looks at the tunnel wall.
[Gentle drumming]
Madhu says, OH! WAS THAT A VIBRATION?
Madhu pounds the wall with their fist and presses their head against the rock. Their head vibrates. Madhu smiles.
Madhu says, OH, TUNNEL FRIEND, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL ME?
Madhu flies down the tunnel. Elsewhere, under the moon's surface, Ella, Slippy, and Tilly search a dark tunnel.
Ella calls out, MADHU! WHERE ARE YOU?
She looks thoughtful.
Ella says, HMM.
[Ella gasping]
Ella calls out, ROCKET!
Slippy cheers, BOOSTERS!
He raises and then lowers his fist.
Slippy says, OH, YOU WANT TO HEAR IF MADHU SAYS IT BACK?
Ella smiles and nods.
Slippy says, GOOD IDEA.
Ella calls out, ROCKET!
She, Tilly and Slippy land. Tilly frowns. Slippy shrugs. Ella, Tilly and Slippy fly further down the tunnel. In another tunnel, Madhu drags their hand along the wall.
[Scratching]
Madhu says, NO, DON'T GO AWAY TUNNEL FRIEND HOW DO I TELL THEM I'M FRIENDLY? OH, MAYBE WITH MY RUMBLE DANCE!
Madhu dances. They tap their hands against the wall and stomp their feet. Madhu presses their head against the wall. Vibrations ripple through Madhu’s head.
[Vibrations drumming]
[Madhu giggling]
Madhu says, OH, YEAH. YOU'VE GOT SOME GREAT RHYTHM TUNNEL FRIEND!
Madhu continues down the tunnel and taps the wall. Elsewhere under the moon's surface, Ella, Tilly, and Slippy fly into a clearing with tunnels surrounding the walls and floor.
Ella says, WOW, LOOK AT THAT.
Slippy says, WOAH.
Tilly says, THIS PLACE IS HUGE!
Ella says, HOW ARE WE GOING TO FIND MADHU?
She walks over to a wall.
[Ella sighing]
Ella slides down to the ground and hugs her knees.
[Vibrations drumming]
Rocks beside Ella tremble.
Ella says, WEIRD. IT'S LIKE SOMEONE'S DRUMMING ON THE WALL. CHECK THIS OUT.
Slippy runs over and puts his ear to the wall.
He says, I DON’T FEEL ANYTHING.
[Vibrations drumming]
Slippy yelps, WOAH!
Ella asks, COULD THAT BE MADHU?
Tilly says, THERE’S SO MANY TUNNELS. WHICH WAY DID MADHU GO?
Slippy flies around the space. He puts his ear to the rock in different places. He pauses near a tunnel.
[Vibrations banging]
Slippy says, THE DRUMS GET STRONGER THIS WAY.
Ella and Tilly follow Slippy up the tunnel. Ella and Slippy look around the tunnel and fly into Madhu.
[Grunting]
[Yelping]
Ella, Slippy and Madhu fall.
Tilly says, MADHU!
Madhu says, OH HI! THERE YOU ARE. HAVE YOU SEEN ANY TUNNEL FRIENDS? THEY MIGHT KNOW THE WAY OUT. I THINK THEY'RE CLOSE. LISTEN...
Madhu taps the wall.
[Drumming]
Madhu presses their head to the wall.
[Vibrations drumming]
Vibrations ripple through Madhu.
[Madhu giggling]
Slippy says, THAT'S NOT A TUNNEL FRIEND, MADHU. YOU’RE FEELING YOUR OWN DRUMS.
Maggie appears and says, VIBRATIONS CAN TRAVEL THROUGH ROCK. AND IF THERE IS A GAP IN THE ROCK, SOME WILL BOUNCE BACK.
Ella says, A GAP IN THE ROCK. LIKE A TUNNEL! I HAVE AN IDEA!
She leads Tilly and her friends through the clearing.
Ella says, VIBRATIONS. WE CAN USE THEM TO MAKE A MAP TO GET US OUT OF HERE.
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
Ella says, MAGGIE IF WE MAKE REALLY BIG VIBRATIONS...
Slippy says, MAGGIE CAN FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY STOP!
Ella knocks on the space beside a tunnel.
[Knocking]
Maggie tracks sound waves through the tunnel and makes a map.
Madhu says, SO WE CAN MAKE A MAP TO GET OUT OF HERE!
Ella, Slippy, Tilly and Madhu bang on the walls. Sound waves roll across the space.
[Vibrations drumming]
[Beeping]
Maggie’s map expands. Tilly looks worried.
Tilly says, CAN WE HURRY? DAD WILL BE HERE SOON.
Ella says, WE'LL NEED SOMETHING THAT MOVES FAST. IF WE WANT TO MAKE THIS QUICK.
Slippy glances toward Tilly’s Endeavor model space shuttle. Tilly covers the model with her body.
Tilly says, NO WAY!
She picks up the Endeavor and runs away.
Tilly says, THIS IS A PRESENT FOR DAD.
Slippy says, BUT IF I ATTACH THE TUNNELER, IT CAN BE LIKE A GIANT PENCIL AND DRAW US A MAP OUT OF HERE.
Ella crouches beside Tilly.
She says, I KNOW YOU MADE THE SHUTTLE SPECIAL FOR DAD, BUT WE NEED IT TO GET OUT OF HERE.
Tilly says, BUT, BUT.
Ella asks, WHAT DID OUR FAVORITE ASTRONAUT, DR. MAE JEMISON, ALWAYS SAY?
Tilly says, TAKE LITTLE STEPS…
Ella says with Tilly, …TO GET THERE FASTER.
Tilly says, ENDEAVOR SHUTTLE, SHOW US THE WAY!
She holds up the Endeavor.
[Intense music plays]
The Endeavor model glides down a tunnel with Slippy’s tunneler drill. The drill bangs against the floor of the tunnel and releases sound waves.
[Endeavor whirring]
[Drill banging]
In the clearing, Tilly steers the Endeavor with the remote control using Maggie’s map.
[Map beeping]
[Drill whirring]
On Maggie’s map, more tunnels appear. Ella, Slippy and Madhu watch intently. The Endeavor reaches the end of a tunnel and flies back to the moon's surface.
[Celebratory music plays]
Tilly says, MY SHUTTLE FOUND THE WAY OUT!
Ella cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Slippy cheers, YES!
Ella and Slippy high-five. Madhu claps.
Ella says, LET’S GO!
She flies out of the tunnel with Tilly, Slippy, Madhu and Maggie. Later, in the middle of the moon museum, Tilly sets up the model Endeavor on display.
Ella says, GOOD THING DAD'S NOT HERE YET.
Tilly says, BUT THE SHUTTLE'S ALL SCRATCHED AND BUMPY.
Maggie says, ACTUALLY, THE REAL ENDEAVOR, SPACE SHUTTLE IS ALSO QUITE BANGED UP.
She projects an image of the Endeavor.
Tilly says, COOL! MY SHUTTLE'S LIKE THE REAL ONE NOW.
[Everyone laughing]
[Whooshing]
Dad walks into the museum and waves.
He says, HI, GIRLS.
Tilly blocks the Endeavor with her body. Dad pauses in front of her, and she flies away from the display.
Dad says, WOW! THE SHUTTLE ENDEAVOR! DID YOU MAKE IT, TILLY?
Tilly nods and runs into Dad’s arms.
[Tilly giggling]
Dad says, THAT'S INCREDIBLE!
Slippy says, IT REALLY IS. IT HELPED US GET OUT OF THE TUNNEL WHERE WE GOT TRAPPED AFTER THE MOON RUMBLED!
Madhu says, OH, DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE RUMBLE DANCE?
Dad says, SURE!
Madhu wiggles their arms and legs. Dad does Madhu’s rumble dance.
[Madhu laughing]
[Dad chuckling]
Dad says, I LIKE IT, MADHU!
[Rumbling]
Ella frowns.
She says, UH-OH. I FEEL ANOTHER RUMBLING.
Slippy says, THIS TIME IT WAS MY STOMACH. TIME TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT!
[Everyone laughing]
[Gentle music plays]
