At home, Ella, who has curly, dark brown hair, runs down a staircase with a toy rocket ship. She wears a teal space suit and a helmet with animal ears.
[Giggling]
Ella runs into the living room and gives her little sister, Tilly, the rocket ship.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, COME WITH ME, TO THE STARS.
Ella’s mom picks up Tilly and smiles. Ella runs outside and past her dad.
The singer sings, THE GALAXY IS OURS!
Ella waves to her dad.
She says, BYE DAD!
Ella jumps onto her moon scooter, a circular spacecraft, and takes off.
People say, LET'S GO!
The singer sings, LOOK AT ALL THE WONDER. INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies over a planet with Madhu, a blue and green alien, Slippy, a black-haired boy who flies a red spacecraft and Glitch, Slippy’s small robot.
The signer sings, LOOK UP SO MUCH SPLENDOUR. INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies on Madhu.
The singer sings, LOOK OUT FOR ADVENTURE.
Ella and Slippy explore a planet with Maggie, Ella’s A.I. star. Elsewhere in space, Slippy and Madhu look startled.
They say, WHOA!
They serve away from Ella and her moon scooter.
The singer sings, COME EXPLORE THE MILKY WAY!
Ella and her family sit on a spacecraft.

[Gentle music plays]
At Ella’s house in space, Home Station, shining lights around the building turn red.
[Alarm sounding]
Maggie announces, ALERT STARQAKE DETECTED.
Inside, Mom, Ella and Tilly meet in the living room.
Mom says, GIRLS, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Ella says, INITIATING CALM PROTOCOL! C. COLLECT IMPORTANT STUFF.
She carries some of her belongings to the living room.
Tilly says, A. ASSIST OTHERS.
She tries to pull a shield in front of the stairs closed. Ella flies above Tilly with her space boots and they close the shield together.
Ella says, L. LOOK AROUND SO YOU DON'T MISS ANYTHING!
She runs down to the living room with Tilly. Tilly flies over the couch with her space boots and turns off a projector.
Ella says, M. MOVE TO STARQUKE SHIELDS AREA!
She jumps on the couch beside Tilly. Dad drops canned food and bags of popcorn on the coffee table. Mom and Dad join Ella and Tilly on the couch.
Mom says, GREAT JOB. NOW LET'S PUT UP OUR SHIELD.
Maggie closes her eyes and shields lower over all the windows in Home Station.
[Whirring]
Dad says, LET'S MAKE SURE MY MUSEUM IS SAFE TOO. MAGGIE, ACTIVATE MOON SHIELD.
Maggie shows a view of Dad’s moon museum. A shield unfolds over the displays and forms a dome. Mom taps her watch. Tilly grabs a bag of popcorn off the table.
Mom says, EXCELLENT JOB, GIRLS. 7 SECONDS FASTER THIS TIME, A NEW RECORD.
Tilly eats popcorn and says, WE'RE READY FOR A REAL STARQUAKE.
Ella says, YEAH! THIS IS THE THIRD DRILL WE'VE DONE THIS WEEK.
Mom says, THE STAR QUAKE WILL HAPPEN ANY DAY NOW, SO IT'S GOOD TO BE PREPARED.
Tilly says, OH, DO WE GET TO WATCH THE STAR EXPLODE?
Maggie says, ACTUALLY, THE STAR DOES NOT EXPLORE DURING A STARQUAKE. IT IS THE SHIFTING OF A NEUTRON STARS CRUST THAT CREATES THE STAR QUAKE.
Maggie shows the crust of a star shaking.
Tilly says, WOAH! LIKE AN EARTHQUAKE? ARE THINGS GOING TO SHAKE AND FALL FROM THE SKY?
Tilly shakes her popcorn bag and popcorn falls out.
Maggie says, NO. THE STARQUAKE WILL SEND A POWERFUL BLAST OF CHARGED PARTICLES CALLED GAMMA RAYS, WHICH CAN DAMAGE ELECTRONICS.
Maggie projects an example of gamma rays pulsing through space past asteroids and light bulbs. The light bulbs go out.
Ella says, PHEW! GOOD THING WE'RE PREPARED. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY SPACE BOOTS OR YOU, MAGGIE!
Tilly says, OR MY COOL STAR LAMP.
She turns on the projector, her star lamp. The lamp projects stars onto the shield and ceiling.
Tilly says, THANK YOU. BIG STAR QUAKE SHIELD.
Dad says, ALL RIGHT, GREAT DRILL. NOW DEACTIVATE PROTECTIVE SHIELDS.
The shields around the house rise. Maggie shows a view of the moon museum. The dome shield over the display rises halfway.
[Whirring]
Maggie frowns.
Dad says, UH-OH, THE SHIELD AT MY MUSEUM IS STUCK. THAT'S NOT GOOD.
Dad runs out the door.
Ella says, UM, SHOULD WE GO HELP HIM?
Mom asks, MAGGIE, HOW LIKELY IS IT A STARQUAKE WILL HAPPEN TODAY?
Maggie says, STARQUAKES ARE HARD TO PREDICT, BUT I DO KNOW THE STARQUAKE WILL HAPPEN WITHIN THE NEXT THREE DAYS.
Mom smiles.
Ella says, OKAY, BUT IT'S NOT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. SO LET'S GO!
Mom nods.
Tilly cheers, YAY! SPACE ADVENTURE!
[Upbeat music plays]
Mom, Ella and Tilly fly to the moon in their space scooters. Dad’s space truck hovers over the museum and is connected to the half-open shield. Mom, Ella and Tilly land at the museum entrance.
Mom says, AT LEAST AT THE STARQUKE HITS, HOME STATION ISN'T FAR.
Ella says, SO WE CAN GET THERE SUPER FAST AND BE SAFE!
Ella and Tilly look up toward the truck, and their smiles drop. In the driver’s seat, Dad frowns. He tries to tow the shield closed, but it remains open.
[Engine whirring]
On the shield, a hook on a handle shakes. In the truck, Dad sighs.
Ella asks, WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE SHIELD, DAD?
From the truck, Dad says, IT WON'T OPEN OR CLOSE.
Tilly asks, DOES THAT MEAN YOUR MUSEUM WILL BE HURT BY THE GRANMA RAYS?
Dad says, YOU MEAN GAMMA RAYS.
He smiles.
Dad says, YES, TILLY, I'M AFRAID SO. IF WE CAN'T FIX THIS BEFORE THE STARQUAKE HITS…
Ella says, BUT ALL OF YOUR COOL MOON STUFF IS HERE. THE HITEN PROBE. THE LUNOKHOD! WE'VE GOT TO PROTECT THEM.
Tilly adds, AND THE ENDEAVOR MODEL I MADE YOU!
She jumps out of her moon scooter sidecar.
Tilly says, DAD, WE GOTTA FIX THE SHIELD.
Dad looks thoughtful.
Mom says, I'LL HELP.
She disconnects her moon scooter from Tilly’s sidecar and flies up to Dad’s truck.
Dad says, ALL RIGHT, LET'S TRY.
Mom flies over the raised half of the shield and pushes the handle on the shield with her scooter.
Ella says, WHILE YOU GUYS FIX THE SHIELD, TILLY AND I CAN BRING THE ELECTRONICS HOME AS A PLAN B!
Ella says, GREAT IDEA, ELLA!
Tilly cheers, YAY! RYDER FAMILY GO!
She and Ella walk down a purple carpet to the outdoor museum.
Ella says, WHOA. THERE'S WAY MORE STUFF HERE THAN I REMEMBERED. LET'S START WITH THE COOLEST, MOST IMPORTANT LOOKING STUFF.
Ella looks around the displays.
She points and says, THERE! THE HITEN PROBE. THAT'S DEFINITELY IMPORTANT.
Ella takes the Hiten Probe out of its display. Tilly runs to the other side of the museum.
[Cheerful music plays]
Ella grabs another artifact on display.
[Metal clanging]
Ella places the two artifacts on the carpet.
Tilly says, VROOM. VROOM!
She drives a rover down the carpet.
Ella says, THE LUNOKHOD! GREAT THINKING, TILLS.
Tilly opens the rover, and Ella stores the Hiten Probe inside.
[Cheerful music continues]
Tilly drives the rover around the museum. Ella stands beside her, grabbing different artifacts from their displays with her space grappler. Ella grabs a golf ball and a camera and high-fives Tilly. At the shield control box, Mom tightens a screw. Dad presses a button. Maggie hovers over them.
Dad looks at Maggie and says, ACTIVATE MOON SHIELD.
Maggie spins and a gear in the shield tilts side to side. A small part of the shield opens and closes.
[Whirring]
Mom says, I'M AFRAID WE'RE GOING TO NEED TO ADD A MANUAL SWITCH.
Dad says, BUT THE MANUAL SWITCH IS GONE!
A handle on a switch is missing.
Dad says, LET'S KEEP TRYING.
He looks determined. Mom and Dad continue working. On the rover, Ella adds a book to the overflowing storage space. Other artifacts in the bin include a pair of boots and Tilly’s Endeavor model.
Ella says, OH, I THINK WE'RE ALMOST FULL.
Tilly asks, WHAT ABOUT ALL THE STUFF THAT'S LEFT?
She stops the rover and looks at a white flag on display.
Ella reluctantly says, MAYBE IF WE TAKE OUT A FEW THINGS?
Tilly picks up the camera.
Ella says, NOT THE INFRARED CAMERA! IT'S INFRA AND… UM… RED!
She picks up the Endeavor model.
Tilly says, NO, NOT THE ENDEAVOR MODEL! I MADE THAT WITH MY OWN HANDS!
Ella puts the Endeavor model down.
She says, I GUESS WE'RE TAKING WHAT WE'VE GOT.
Ella and Tilly fly off the rover. Ella tries to close the lid. Tilly stands on the lid.
[Ella grunting]
Ella says, WE'VE GOT TO FIND SOMETHING TO HOLD THIS LID CLOSED OR ELSE EVERYTHING WILL SPILL IN SPACE!
Ella spots a metal rod on the carpet and grabs it with her grappler.
Ella says, WELL, THIS WON'T HELP.
She tosses the rod aside.
Tilly asks, WOULD THESE STRINGY THINGIES WORK?
She holds cables.
Maggie appears and says, THOSE ARE SAFETY LINES. ASTRONAUTS USED THEM TO KEEP FROM FLOATING OFF INTO SPACE DURING SPACEWALKS.
Ella says, THEY'RE PERFECT TILLY!
Tilly smiles. Ella ties the rover closed with the safety line cables.
Ella says, THIS IS GOING TO TAKE A LOT OF TRIPS BACK HOME.
She flies onto the rover, and Tilly drives them down the carpet. Ella glances at her parents.
Ella asks, MOM, DAD, DID YOU FIX THE SHIELD YET?
Dad says, WORKING ON IT.
Ella says, ALL RIGHT, WE'RE GOING TO DROP OFF THE FIRST LOAD AT HOME. OKAY?
Mom and Dad nod.
Tilly cheers, YAY! LET'S DROP OFF!
[Upbeat music plays]
Ella and Tilly fly home with the rover full of artifacts. They return to the moon with it empty and grab a hammer and the white flag from their displays.
Ella says, LET'S GO, TILLY!
Tilly says, WAIT!
She runs toward the rover carrying an artifact. She kicks the metal rod on her way to Ella and knocks it across the museum.
[Metal clanging]
The metal rod lands in front of a display.
Tilly asks, WHAT ABOUT THIS… UH, THING?
From Ella’s watch, Maggie appears and says, THAT IS THE MOON MINERALOGY MAPPER. IT FOUND WATER MOLECULES IN THE POLES OF THE MOON.
Ella says, INTERSTELLAR!
She grabs onto the Mineralogy Mapper with her space grappler. She pulls Tilly and the Mapper onto the rover and drops the Mapper in the storage compartment. At Home Station, Tilly tosses a disco ball from the rover to Ella.
[Alarm sounding]
Maggie appears and says, WARNING. MY SENSORS HAVE PICKED UP THE STARQUAKE.
She shows a projection of the crust of a star shaking and stars bursting out.
Ella says, COOL! IT'S LIKE A FOUNTAIN OF LIGHT.
She puts down a book and taps her watch. A blurry com bubble appears.
Ella says, UH-OH.
Maggie says, THE MUSEUM'S STARQUAKE SHIELD COULD BE BLOCKING THE SIGNAL.
Tilly says, WE'VE GOT TO GO TELL MOM AND DAD!
Ella and Tilly fly back to the moon. Mom and Dad stand at the control box.
Ella says, MOM, DAD, STARQUAKE NOW!
Dad says, REALLY?
[Alarm sounding]
Mom and Dad say, WHOA!
The museum lights flash red.
Ella says, OH, NO! WE ONLY HAD TIME TO SAVE A FEW THINGS! MOST OF THE STUFF IS STILL HERE ON THE MOON!
Dad walks through the museum.
He says, DON'T WORRY, IT'S FINE.
Dad looks at a pair of boots on display.
He says, WE'LL JUST LOSE THESE MAGNIFICENT LUNAR SHOES AND THE OLD T.V. CAMERA.
Dad gazes up at a camera.
He says, SEE A BUDDY.
Dad waves sadly to the camera.
He says, OH, THE APOLLO MOON LANDING JOYSTICK.
He picks up a joystick.
Dad says, THE FIRST ITEM I EVER COLLECTED FOR THIS MUSEUM. I'LL MISS YOU, CHAMP.
He hugs the joystick.
Dad says, OH, WELL, NO WORRIES. LET'S GO.
Ella and Tilly share a sad look.
Ella says, WAIT. ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN'T FIX THE SHIELD?
Mom says, NOT WITHOUT A MANUAL SWITCH.
Dad walks over to the control box. Ella and Tilly raise their eyebrows.
Ella and Tilly say, WE KNOW WHERE THAT IS!
Maggie appears and says, 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE STARQUAKE ARRIVES.
Mom and Dad follow Ella and Tilly into the museum.
[Ella groaning]
Ella says, WHERE DID I SEE IT?
Tilly calls out, SWITCH, WHERE ARE YOU?
Dad says, GIRLS? WE'VE GOT TO GO.
He grabs Tilly. Ella spots the metal rod.
Ella says, THERE!
She picks up the rod, which is the switch.
Ella says, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A DUSTY OLD PIECE OF METAL.
Tilly asks, WILL IT WORK?
Dad says, IT'S WORTH A SHOT!
He sticks the switch into its holder in the control box.
Dad says, SCREWDRIVER.
Tilly says, SCREWDRIVER!
Ella passes Tilly a screwdriver, and Tilly passes it to Dad. Dad screws the switch into its holder and tries to pull it.
[Alarm sounding]
Dad says, IT'S JAMMED WITH MOON DUST.
[Clanging]
The switch slips out of its holder, and Dad stumbles back.
Maggie appears and says, WARNING. YOU MUST LEAVE IN 10 MINUTES.
Dad says, WE BETTER GO. COME ON, GIRLS.
Ella says, WAIT, TILLY DO YOU STILL HAVE THAT SAFETY LINE?
Tilly says, YEAH!
She grabs the safety line from her sidecar. Dad loops the line around the switch holder in the control box. Ella, Tilly, Mom and Dad pull on the line. They pull the switch holder down and activate the shield. They all fall and watch as the shield closes over the museum.
[Shield whirring]
Ella cheers, YES! IT'S CLOSING!
Tilly cheers, YEAH!
Maggie appears and says, THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING.
Mom says, WE'RE LEAVING!
Maggie counts down, TEN, NINE, EIGHT.
Ella hops on her moon scooter and flies away with the rest of her family close behind.
Maggie counts, SEVEN, SIX, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE.
In the living room at Home Station, Ella and her family sit on the couch. With the shields lowered, Maggie shows a starquake and the house shakes.
[Rumbling]
Ella says, WHOA! IS THAT THE STARQUAKE?
Maggie says, YES. WELL, WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE IF HUMANS COULD SEE IT.
Tilly says, WHOA!
She eats from a bag of popcorn.
Tilly says, SO COOL!
Maggie shows gamma rays pulsing past the house.
Tilly adds, AND SPARKLY!
[Rumbling]
The house stops shaking.
Maggie says, AND THE STARQUAKE HAS JUST PASSED US. IT IS SAFE TO COME OUT AGAIN.
Dad asks, DID THE SHIELD SHUT IN TIME?
Maggie says, SCANNING.
Maggie spins.
Maggie says, THE MOON'S SHIELD WORKED!
She shows the dome shield on the moon covering the museum.
Ella says, WE DID IT. WE SAVED THE MUSEUM!
Tilly cheers, YAY! THE RYDER FAMILY IS THE BEST! I WANT ANOTHER STARQUAKE!
[Mom chuckling]
Mom says, ONE IS ENOUGH FOR NOW.
Dad says, THANKS, GIRLS. I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU.
He hugs Tilly and Ella. Later, at the museum, Dad looks at a projection of artifacts. Mom looks at a tablet.
From close by, Ella says, WE HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU, DAD!
Ella and Tilly stand on either side of a display with the switch.
Tilly says YOU THINK THIS DUSTY OLD THING LOOKS BORING? WELL, THINK AGAIN! THIS COOL SWITCH SAVED THIS MUSEUM FROM A HUGE SPARKLY STARQUAKE!
[Mom laughing]
[Dad chuckling]
Dad says, OH TILLY.

Mom, Ella and Tilly fly to the moon in their space scooters. Dad’s space truck hovers over the museum and is connected to the half-open shield. Mom, Ella and Tilly land at the museum entrance.
Mom says, AT LEAST AT THE STARQUKE HITS, HOME STATION ISN'T FAR.
Ella says, SO WE CAN GET THERE SUPER FAST AND BE SAFE!
Ella and Tilly look up toward the truck, and their smiles drop. In the driver’s seat, Dad frowns. He tries to tow the shield closed, but it remains open.
[Engine whirring]
On the shield, a hook on a handle shakes. In the truck, Dad sighs.
Ella asks, WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE SHIELD, DAD?
From the truck, Dad says, IT WON'T OPEN OR CLOSE.
Tilly asks, DOES THAT MEAN YOUR MUSEUM WILL BE HURT BY THE GRANMA RAYS?
Dad says, YOU MEAN GAMMA RAYS.
He smiles.
Dad says, YES, TILLY, I'M AFRAID SO. IF WE CAN'T FIX THIS BEFORE THE STARQUAKE HITS…
Ella says, BUT ALL OF YOUR COOL MOON STUFF IS HERE. THE HITEN PROBE. THE LUNOKHOD! WE'VE GOT TO PROTECT THEM.
Tilly adds, AND THE ENDEAVOR MODEL I MADE YOU!
She jumps out of her moon scooter sidecar.
Tilly says, DAD, WE GOTTA FIX THE SHIELD.
Dad looks thoughtful.
Mom says, I'LL HELP.
She disconnects her moon scooter from Tilly’s sidecar and flies up to Dad’s truck.
Dad says, ALL RIGHT, LET'S TRY.
Mom flies over the raised half of the shield and pushes the handle on the shield with her scooter.
Ella says, WHILE YOU GUYS FIX THE SHIELD, TILLY AND I CAN BRING THE ELECTRONICS HOME AS A PLAN B!
Ella says, GREAT IDEA, ELLA!
Tilly cheers, YAY! RYDER FAMILY GO!
She and Ella walk down a purple carpet to the outdoor museum.
Ella says, WHOA. THERE'S WAY MORE STUFF HERE THAN I REMEMBERED. LET'S START WITH THE COOLEST, MOST IMPORTANT LOOKING STUFF.
Ella looks around the displays.
She points and says, THERE! THE HITEN PROBE. THAT'S DEFINITELY IMPORTANT.
Ella takes the Hiten Probe out of its display. Tilly runs to the other side of the museum.
[Cheerful music plays]
Ella grabs another artifact on display.
[Metal clanging]
Ella places the two artifacts on the carpet.
Tilly says, VROOM. VROOM!
She drives a rover down the carpet.
Ella says, THE LUNOKHOD! GREAT THINKING, TILLS.
Tilly opens the rover, and Ella stores the Hiten Probe inside.
[Cheerful music continues]
Tilly drives the rover around the museum. Ella stands beside her, grabbing different artifacts from their displays with her space grappler. Ella grabs a golf ball and a camera and high-fives Tilly. At the shield control box, Mom tightens a screw. Dad presses a button. Maggie hovers over them.
Dad looks at Maggie and says, ACTIVATE MOON SHIELD.
Maggie spins and a gear in the shield tilts side to side. A small part of the shield opens and closes.
[Whirring]
Mom says, I'M AFRAID WE'RE GOING TO NEED TO ADD A MANUAL SWITCH.
Dad says, BUT THE MANUAL SWITCH IS GONE!
A handle on a switch is missing.
Dad says, LET'S KEEP TRYING.
He looks determined. Mom and Dad continue working. On the rover, Ella adds a book to the overflowing storage space. Other artifacts in the bin include a pair of boots and Tilly’s Endeavor model.
Ella says, OH, I THINK WE'RE ALMOST FULL.
Tilly asks, WHAT ABOUT ALL THE STUFF THAT'S LEFT?
She stops the rover and looks at a white flag on display.
Ella reluctantly says, MAYBE IF WE TAKE OUT A FEW THINGS?
Tilly picks up the camera.
Ella says, NOT THE INFRARED CAMERA! IT'S INFRA AND… UM… RED!
She picks up the Endeavor model.
Tilly says, NO, NOT THE ENDEAVOR MODEL! I MADE THAT WITH MY OWN HANDS!
Ella puts the Endeavor model down.
She says, I GUESS WE'RE TAKING WHAT WE'VE GOT.
Ella and Tilly fly off the rover. Ella tries to close the lid. Tilly stands on the lid.
[Ella grunting]
Ella says, WE'VE GOT TO FIND SOMETHING TO HOLD THIS LID CLOSED OR ELSE EVERYTHING WILL SPILL IN SPACE!
Ella spots a metal rod on the carpet and grabs it with her grappler.
Ella says, WELL, THIS WON'T HELP.
She tosses the rod aside.
Tilly asks, WOULD THESE STRINGY THINGIES WORK?
She holds cables.
Maggie appears and says, THOSE ARE SAFETY LINES. ASTRONAUTS USED THEM TO KEEP FROM FLOATING OFF INTO SPACE DURING SPACEWALKS.
Ella says, THEY'RE PERFECT TILLY!
Tilly smiles. Ella ties the rover closed with the safety line cables.
Ella says, THIS IS GOING TO TAKE A LOT OF TRIPS BACK HOME.
She flies onto the rover, and Tilly drives them down the carpet. Ella glances at her parents.
Ella asks, MOM, DAD, DID YOU FIX THE SHIELD YET?
Dad says, WORKING ON IT.
Ella says, ALL RIGHT, WE'RE GOING TO DROP OFF THE FIRST LOAD AT HOME. OKAY?
Mom and Dad nod.
Tilly cheers, YAY! LET'S DROP OFF!
[Upbeat music plays]
Ella and Tilly fly home with the rover full of artifacts. They return to the moon with it empty and grab a hammer and the white flag from their displays.
Ella says, LET'S GO, TILLY!
Tilly says, WAIT!
She runs toward the rover carrying an artifact. She kicks the metal rod on her way to Ella and knocks it across the museum.
[Metal clanging]
The metal rod lands in front of a display.
Tilly asks, WHAT ABOUT THIS… UH, THING?
From Ella’s watch, Maggie appears and says, THAT IS THE MOON MINERALOGY MAPPER. IT FOUND WATER MOLECULES IN THE POLES OF THE MOON.
Ella says, INTERSTELLAR!
She grabs onto the Mineralogy Mapper with her space grappler. She pulls Tilly and the Mapper onto the rover and drops the Mapper in the storage compartment. At Home Station, Tilly tosses a disco ball from the rover to Ella.
[Alarm sounding]
Maggie appears and says, WARNING. MY SENSORS HAVE PICKED UP THE STARQUAKE.
She shows a projection of the crust of a star shaking and stars bursting out.
Ella says, COOL! IT'S LIKE A FOUNTAIN OF LIGHT.
She puts down a book and taps her watch. A blurry com bubble appears.
Ella says, UH-OH.
Maggie says, THE MUSEUM'S STARQUAKE SHIELD COULD BE BLOCKING THE SIGNAL.
Tilly says, WE'VE GOT TO GO TELL MOM AND DAD!
Ella and Tilly fly back to the moon. Mom and Dad stand at the control box.
Ella says, MOM, DAD, STARQUAKE NOW!
Dad says, REALLY?
[Alarm sounding]
Mom and Dad say, WHOA!
The museum lights flash red.
Ella says, OH, NO! WE ONLY HAD TIME TO SAVE A FEW THINGS! MOST OF THE STUFF IS STILL HERE ON THE MOON!
Dad walks through the museum.
He says, DON'T WORRY, IT'S FINE.
Dad looks at a pair of boots on display.
He says, WE'LL JUST LOSE THESE MAGNIFICENT LUNAR SHOES AND THE OLD T.V. CAMERA.
Dad gazes up at a camera.
He says, SEE A BUDDY.
Dad waves sadly to the camera.
He says, OH, THE APOLLO MOON LANDING JOYSTICK.
He picks up a joystick.
Dad says, THE FIRST ITEM I EVER COLLECTED FOR THIS MUSEUM. I'LL MISS YOU, CHAMP.
He hugs the joystick.
Dad says, OH, WELL, NO WORRIES. LET'S GO.
Ella and Tilly share a sad look.
Ella says, WAIT. ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN'T FIX THE SHIELD?
Mom says, NOT WITHOUT A MANUAL SWITCH.
Dad walks over to the control box. Ella and Tilly raise their eyebrows.
Ella and Tilly say, WE KNOW WHERE THAT IS!
Maggie appears and says, 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE STARQUAKE ARRIVES.
Mom and Dad follow Ella and Tilly into the museum.
[Ella groaning]
Ella says, WHERE DID I SEE IT?
Tilly calls out, SWITCH, WHERE ARE YOU?
Dad says, GIRLS? WE'VE GOT TO GO.
He grabs Tilly. Ella spots the metal rod.
Ella says, THERE!
She picks up the rod, which is the switch.
Ella says, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A DUSTY OLD PIECE OF METAL.
Tilly asks, WILL IT WORK?
Dad says, IT'S WORTH A SHOT!
He sticks the switch into its holder in the control box.
Dad says, SCREWDRIVER.
Tilly says, SCREWDRIVER!
Ella passes Tilly a screwdriver, and Tilly passes it to Dad. Dad screws the switch into its holder and tries to pull it.
[Alarm sounding]
Dad says, IT'S JAMMED WITH MOON DUST.
[Clanging]
The switch slips out of its holder, and Dad stumbles back.
Maggie appears and says, WARNING. YOU MUST LEAVE IN 10 MINUTES.
Dad says, WE BETTER GO. COME ON, GIRLS.
Ella says, WAIT, TILLY DO YOU STILL HAVE THAT SAFETY LINE?
Tilly says, YEAH!
She grabs the safety line from her sidecar. Dad loops the line around the switch holder in the control box. Ella, Tilly, Mom and Dad pull on the line. They pull the switch holder down and activate the shield. They all fall and watch as the shield closes over the museum.
[Shield whirring]
Ella cheers, YES! IT'S CLOSING!
Tilly cheers, YEAH!
Maggie appears and says, THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING.
Mom says, WE'RE LEAVING!
Maggie counts down, TEN, NINE, EIGHT.
Ella hops on her moon scooter and flies away with the rest of her family close behind.
Maggie counts, SEVEN, SIX, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE.
In the living room at Home Station, Ella and her family sit on the couch. With the shields lowered, Maggie shows a starquake and the house shakes.
[Rumbling]
Ella says, WHOA! IS THAT THE STARQUAKE?
Maggie says, YES. WELL, WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE IF HUMANS COULD SEE IT.
Tilly says, WHOA!
She eats from a bag of popcorn.
Tilly says, SO COOL!
Maggie shows gamma rays pulsing past the house.
Tilly adds, AND SPARKLY!
[Rumbling]
The house stops shaking.
Maggie says, AND THE STARQUAKE HAS JUST PASSED US. IT IS SAFE TO COME OUT AGAIN.
Dad asks, DID THE SHIELD SHUT IN TIME?
Maggie says, SCANNING.
Maggie spins.
Maggie says, THE MOON'S SHIELD WORKED!
She shows the dome shield on the moon covering the museum.
Ella says, WE DID IT. WE SAVED THE MUSEUM!
Tilly cheers, YAY! THE RYDER FAMILY IS THE BEST! I WANT ANOTHER STARQUAKE!
[Mom chuckling]
Mom says, ONE IS ENOUGH FOR NOW.
Dad says, THANKS, GIRLS. I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU.
He hugs Tilly and Ella. Later, at the museum, Dad looks at a projection of artifacts. Mom looks at a tablet.
From close by, Ella says, WE HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU, DAD!
Ella and Tilly stand on either side of a display with the switch.
Tilly says YOU THINK THIS DUSTY OLD THING LOOKS BORING? WELL, THINK AGAIN! THIS COOL SWITCH SAVED THIS MUSEUM FROM A HUGE SPARKLY STARQUAKE!
[Mom laughing]
[Dad chuckling]
Dad says, OH TILLY.
[Gentle music plays]
