The child says TABLE TENNIS! OOOH! YOUR QUITE GOOD AT BOUNCING THAT PADDLE BALL. HEY, IS THAT BALL ATTACHED TO A STRING?

Bamboo Love nods.

The child says NEAT. CAN YOU DO ANY TRICKS?

Bamboo Love shows off her skills, but the string breaks and the ball bounces away.

The child says OH NO, THE BALL BROKE OFF.

The ball flies back and forth as Bamboo Love hits it with the paddle.

The child says HMMM? I WONDER WHO HIT THE BALL BACK TO YOU?

Baby Elephant steps into the pale blue space holding a paddle.

The child says LOOK, IT'S BABY ELEPHANT! I THINK SHE HAS SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU.

Baby Elephant stands behind a table tennis table.

The child says OH! TABLE TENNIS! OH WOW, YOU'LL ENJOY THIS SPORT! SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO CALL IT PING-PONG, TOO. WANT TO PLAY?

Bamboo Love nods, then walks over to a rack containing a tennis racket and a ping-pong paddle.

The child says TO PLAY, YOU'LL NEED A PADDLE, DO YOU KNOW WHICH ONE TO USE FOR PING-PONG?

Bamboo Love picks up the tennis racket, hesitates, then leaves it and takes the paddle.

The child says YES, BAMBOO LOVE, THAT IS THE CORRECT PADDLE FOR PING-PONG. THE BIGGER ONE IS A TENNIS RACQUET. BABY ELEPHANT IS ON THE OTHER SIDE AND IS EXCITED TO PLAY WITH YOU.

Baby elephant trumpets.

The child says PING PONG, IS A FUN SPORT SIMILAR TO TENNIS, BUT PLAYED ON A SMALL TABLE. BABY ELEPHANT, WILL SERVE THE BALL FIRST. GET READY!

Bamboo Love nods. Then Baby Elephant serves. The ball flies over to Bamboo Love's side of the table. Bamboo Love swings, but misses.

The child says OOPS, TRY AGAIN, BAMBOO LOVE AND KEEP YOUR EYE ON THAT BALL.

Bamboo Love picks up the ball and holds it near her eye.

The child says I'M SORRY, THAT WAS JUST A FUN WAY OF SAYING "WATCH THE BALL CAREFULLY."

Baby Elephant serves again and this time Bamboo Love returns the ball. They hit the ball back and forth.

The child says TO GET A POINT, YOU MUST KEEP PLAYING UNTIL ONE OF YOU HITS THE NET OR SCORES A POINT THAT BOUNCES OFF THE TABLE AND PAST THE PLAYER.

Bamboo Love misses the ball, which bounces off the table on her side.

The child says POINT FOR BABY ELEPHANT. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY A SERVE, BAMBOO LOVE?

Bamboo Love picks up the ball and nods.

The child says TO SERVE, YOU'LL NEED TO HIT THE BALL WITH YOUR PADDLE, BOUNCING IT ON YOUR TABLE SIDE FIRST AND OVER THE NET TO BABY ELEPHANT.

Bamboo Love serves, but the ball hits the net.

The child says OH, STOPPED AT THE NET. NOT TO WORRY, IN TABLE TENNIS YOU GET TWO CHANCES TO SERVE THE BALL.

Bamboo Love serves again and the ball continues to go back and forth.

As they play, The child says OH! GREAT SHOT... NICE RETURN! WHAT A FUN SPORT!

Baby Elephant misses the ball.

The child says WOW! I THINK YOU BOTH HAVE MASTERED THE SPORT OF TABLE TENNIS. TODAY WE LEARNED ABOUT TABLE TENNIS. BAMBOO LOVE LEARNED ITS ALSO CALLED PING-PONG. A SPORTING GAME THAT USES SMALL PADDLES, A BALL, A NET AND A TABLE... AND... FOCUS IS DEFINITELY NEEDED IN THIS FAST-MOVING GAME.
