Inside a large pale blue heart, the word "Surfing" appears.

The child says SURFING!

On a beach with palm trees and a starfish, a large wave washes Bamboo Love onto the shore. She wears an orange life vest.

The child says WOW, THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN! DID YOU JUST TUMMY SURF THAT WAVE, BAMBOO LOVE?

Bamboo Love nods and The child says THAT WAS PRETTY COOL! WHOAH! WATCH OUT FOR THAT... WAVE.

A huge wave comes crashing and knocks Bamboo Love over. Mister Elephant walks up to her wearing a lifesaver as a necklace.

The child says OH BAMBOO LOVE, NOW YOU ARE ALL WET AGAIN. HELLO, MR. ELEPHANT.

Mister Elephant smiles and trumpets with a big BRUUUP!

The child says ARE YOU THE LIFEGUARD ON DUTY, TODAY?

Mister Elephant nods and blows a whistle.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY SURFING BAMBOO LOVE?

As Bamboo Love nods, The child says TO SURF, YOU'LL NEED A SURFBOARD.

Bamboo Love walks over to a group of four surfboards stuck vertically into the sand. As he sniffs the first one, it tumbles onto the others causing the last one to fall over. She catches it. It's smooth and pink.

The child says THERE YOU GO! I THINK YOU JUST FOUND YOUR SURFBOARD. NOW YOU'RE READY TO SURF!

Bamboo Love places the surfboard on the sand and jumps onto it.

The child says TO SURF, YOUR BOARD MUST BE IN THE WATER. BUT, BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE WATER, WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN SOME BASIC SURF MOVES?

Bamboo Love nods and Mister Elephant trumpets with a big BRUUUUUP-BRUUUUUUP!

The child says GREAT! FIRST, GET ONTO THE SURFBOARD LYING DOWN ON YOUR TUMMY.

As Bamboo Love follows the instructions, The child says NOW YOU'LL LEARN TO PADDLE AND MOVE THE BOARD ON YOUR OWN.

Mister Elephant picks up Bamboo Love on her surfboard.

The child says NEXT, AS IF YOU WERE SWIMMING, PULL ONE ARM DOWN AND BACK, THEN DO THE SAME WITH THE OTHER.

Bamboo Love follows the instructions.

The child says NOW YOU CAN PADDLE THE BOARD WHEN YOU'RE IN THE WATER. TRY STANDING AND FIND YOUR BALANCE. CAREFUL, THIS PART IS TRICKY.

Bamboo Love stands up on the surfboard and holds one arm in front and one to the back to keep her balance.

The child says A GOOD SURF STANCE. BUT, ON A SURFBOARD, YOU WANT TO LOWER YOUR CENTRE OF BALANCE FOR BETTER CONTROL.

Bamboo Love bends her knees slightly.

The child says LIFE-GUARD ELEPHANT, COULD YOU SIMULATE A WAVE FOR US PLEASE?

Mister Elephant moves the surfboard slightly and Bamboo Love falls down onto the sand.

The child says AND, SPLASH!! HOP BACK UP, AND THIS TIME, BEND YOUR KNEES AND KEEP YOUR ARMS OUT BY YOUR SIDE FOR BALANCE.

Bamboo Love stands up giggling and nods, then practices her stance. Mister Elephant lifts her back up on the surfboard and moves it gently back and forth. Bamboo Love manages to maintain her balance.

The child says GREAT SURF STYLE BAMBOO LOVE! I THINK YOU'RE READY FOR THE REAL WAVE, DON'T YOU?

Bamboo Love nods, then runs to the water and hops onto the surfboard on her belly. She paddles with her hands, away from the shore.

The child says NOW PADDLE OUT AND CATCH THAT WAVE!

As a wave approaches, Bamboo Love stands on the surfboard and the wave lifts her up. She maintains her balance and rides the wave.

The child says THE SPORT OF SURFING IS AWESOME! NOW, THAT WAS SOME GROOVY SURFING. TODAY WE LEARNED ABOUT SURFING. BAMBOO LOVE LEARNED THAT A SURFBOARD IS REQUIRED TO SURF... AND... GOOD BALANCE IS NEEDED TO STAND AND STAY ON THE BOARD WHEN SURFING.
