Camp leader puts down a tripod.
[Thud]
Camp Leader says, GOOD MORNING,
CAMPERS. I HAVE SOMETHING

Odo asks, OOH! IS IT A BOX WITH LEGS?
A BIRD FEEDER? UH, A VERY SMALL TREE?
Camp Leader says, IT'S AN OLD MOVIE CAMERA.
Odo whispers, I WAS GONNA SAY THAT.
[Calm music plays]
Camp Leader says, TODAY, CAMPERS,
YOU WILL MAKE A FILM
ABOUT OUR WONDERFUL FOREST
CAMP USING THIS VERY CAMERA.
AND WE WILL SHOW IT TONIGHT
AT THE FOREST FILM FIESTA
FOR OUR VIBS.
"VERY IMPORTANT BIRDS."
INSPECTOR FEATHERS, PIGEON POST,
YOUR PARENTS...
IT WILL BE A LOVELY CHANCE
TO SHOW WHAT MAKES FOREST CAMP
SUCH A TRULY SPECIAL PLACE.

TO BE THE DIRECTOR?
The birds say, HUH?
Camp Leader says, THAT MEANS,
WHO WANTS TO BE IN CHARGE?
ANNA AND RUDI.
The swans smile and say, THANK YOU,
CAMP LEADER.
Camp Leader says, I WANT YOU BIRDS
TO DO THIS ALL BY YOURSELVES.
ONE OF YOU WILL HAVE TO HELP
BY OPERATING THE CAMERA.
ANNA AND RUDI WILL CHOOSE
WHAT THEY WANT TO SHOW,
AND THE CAMERA-BIRD
WILL FILM IT--
Odo says, ME. I'LL BE THE CAMERA-BIRD.
Camp Leader says, THANK YOU, ODO.
AND WE'LL NEED SOMEONE
TO RECORD THE SOUND.
Doodle says, ME!
Camp Leader says, EXCELLENT.
HERE'S YOUR MICROPHONE,
SOUND-BIRD DOODLE.
YOU SIMPLY POINT THE MICROPHONE
AT WHOEVER IS TALKING.
CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Doodle shouts, I HEAR YOU, CAMP LEADER!
Odo asks, HOW DO YOU WORK THE CAMERA?
Camp Leader explains, LOOK THROUGH
HERE. POINT THE CAMERA AT WHAT
YOU WANT TO FILM AND PUSH THE BUTTON.
Odo looks through the camera Doodle. Doodle wears headphones and carries a microphone on a boom pole.
Odo says, DOODLE, YOU LOOK LIKE A GIRAFFE.
[Giggling]
Rudi says,LET'S START AT THE POND,
CAMPERS. WE'VE GOT A MASTERPIECE
TO MAKE!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF FOREST CAMP!
A brown and white chicken asks? WHAT'S
A MASTERPIECE?
[Birds chirp, whoosh]
Anna says, LET'S START WITH
A NORMAL MORNING AT CAMP,
WITH RUDI AND I DOING BALLET.
THAT WOULD BE GOOD, YES?
A rooster asks, WHAT DO THE REST
OF US DO?
Rudi says, YOU'LL WATCH.
WATCHERS ARE IMPORTANT.
Flo asks, IS THAT THE SAME
AS DOING NOTHING?
Rudi says, YOU'LL BE SAYING THINGS LIKE:
"OOH, AHH, AMAZING." LIKE THAT.
Anna pushes two flamingos towards the pond.
She says, AND WE NEED BACKUP DANCERS.
A peacock says, OH. OKAY, OKAY.
[Flamingos gasp]
Odo says, HMM.
I'LL PUT THE CAMERA RIGHT HERE.
THIS IS GONNA LOOK GREAT.
Anna says, AND...ACTION!
[Upbeat music plays]
Rudi and Anna dance by the pond.
The flamingos and peacock dance.
[Grunting]
Odo asks, UH, WHAT DO I DO?
Doodle suggests, PRESS THE BUTTON?
Odo says, OH, YEAH.
Odo presses the button.
[Click]
Odo says, THIS IS SO GOOD! NOW
LET'S GET THE WATCHERS, DOODLE.
Bored-look birds say, OOH. AHH. AMAZING.
A red bird says, UM, I ATE SPAGHETTI
THREE TIMES LAST WEEK.
Doodle says, ODO, ANNA AND RUDI ARE
DOING THEIR BIG FINISH.
Anna and Rudi say, TA-DA!
[Campers applaud, click]
Odo says, YOU WERE GREAT.
I REALLY LIKED THE "TA-DA."
WHAT NOW?
Anna says, AFTER OUR BEAUTIFUL
DANCING, SOMETHING FUNNY WOULD
BE NICE.
[Birds chirp, whoosh, upbeat music plays]
Three chickens dance.
They sing, WELCOME TO CLUB CHICKEN

[Laughing]
The rooster says, OH, MY SIDES!
JUST ANOTHER HILARIOUS DAY
WITH US CHICKENS.
A toucan asks, HEY, LOUIE, WHY DID
THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD?
A second toucan says, TO FIND
SOME JOKES.
The chickens shout, HEY, ARE YOU
SAYING WE'RE NOT FUNNY?
The toucans reply, YES.
[Angry clucking]
The camera jostles as the chickens peck at the toucans. The peacock grabs the camera lens.
The peacock says, I'M READY FOR MY
CLOSE-UP. WHAT MAKES FOREST
CAMP SO GREAT?
HA! BECAUSE IT HAS ME IN IT.
LEONARDO.
[Grunting]
Leonardo says, YES, I AM THAT
GREAT. I'M FABULOUS.
Odo pulls the camera away from Leonardo.
[Rattle]
Odo says, THIS IS GONNA BE BEST FILM EVER.
Rudi says, IT'S A DISASTER.
Odo says, IT'S BRILLIANT.
Anna exclaims, BRILLIANT? SO FAR,
WE'VE JUST GOT DANCING SWANS,
FIGHTING CHICKENS
AND A BOASTFUL PEACOCK.
Odo says, BUT THAT'S BRILLIANT.
BECAUSE THIS IS A FILM ABOUT FOREST
CAMP. AND FOREST CAMP IS GREAT.
Rudi says, BUT THE GUESTS WILL BE
HERE SOON! WE WON'T BE READY.
Odo says, WE'LL TOTALLY BE READY.
IS IT ALL RIGHT IF WE JUST
RUN AROUND AND FILM STUFF?
Anna says, EH?
Rudi and Anna nod and say, MM-HM.
Odo says, GREAT. LET'S GO, DOODLE.
[Birds chirp, whoosh]
Two hummingbirds hum as they drink from purple flowers.
[Humming]
Camp Leader chews her food, then notices the camera.
[Crunching, then gasps]
Three yellow canaries sing,
WE'VE GOT THE GREATEST BIRDS
THAT YOU EVER DID SEE,
THAT THE FOREST CAMP
IS THE PLACE TO BE.
YEAH .
A red bird flies towards the camera and hits it.
The red bird says, WHEE! OOF!
Anna says, WELL, IT'S TIME.
DID YOU GET IT?
Doodle and Odo say, WE GOT IT!
[Birds chirp, whoosh]
An audience sits in darkness in front of a movie screen.
[Murmuring]
Odo’s father says, HEY, BIG GUY,
WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR FILM.
Odo says, IT'S ABOUT TO START.
Rudi says, HELLO, EVERYONE.
THANK YOU FOR COMING
TO OUR FOREST FILM FIESTA.
THIS FILM WAS MADE BY US.
AND IT SHOWS WHY OUR FOREST
CAMP IS THE PLACE TO BE.
Anna says, AND SO THIS IS OUR FILM.
AND HERE IT IS, OUR FILM,
WHICH WE HOPE YOU'LL LIKE.
Numbers count down as the film projects on the movie screen. The light from the projector illuminates tree trunks under the screen.
[Beeping]
The movie plays.
Anna says, FOREST CAMP, THE PLACE TO BE.
A PLACE OF FRIENDSHIP, FUN AND BEAUTY.
[Grunting]
Anna and Rudi dance. A small bird dances behind them.
Campers say, OOH. AHH.
Anna and Rudi say, TA-DA!
The chickens sing, WELCOME TO
CLUB CHICKEN. WELCOME--
Odo’s face fills the movie screen.
Odo says, DOODLE, THIS FILM
IS GONNA BE AMAZING.
Doodle asks, ARE YOU SURE THE
CAMERA'S POINTING THE RIGHT WAY?
[Screeching]
The chickens sing, WELCOME TO CLUB CHICKEN
[Laughing, clucking]
Leonardo says, I AM THAT GREAT.
Feathers fly up into the air. Camp Leader eats her food.
[Laughing]
[Camp Leader clears throat]
A bird exclaims, WHOA!
Leonardo talks to the camera but a different bird’s voice plays in the movie.
A bird says, I ATE SPAGHETTI
THREE TIMES LAST WEEK.
The red bird flies towards the camera.
The bird says, WHEE! OOF!
The camera falls.
Anna asks, IT'S TIME. DID YOU GET IT?
The projector shuts off.
[Reel spins, tense music plays]
Anna, Rudi, Odo and Doodle wait nervously.
[Chuckles turn to laughter]
[Rudi and Anna sigh]
[Laugher]
Inspector Feathers says, EXCELLENT WORK.
YOU ALL CAPTURED THE TRUE SPIRIT
OF FOREST CAMP PERFECTLY.
IT'S A PLACE WHERE EVERYONE
CAN DO THEIR BEST AND HAVE FUN.
Anna says, THANK YOU, INSPECTOR FEATHERS.
WE WERE GOING FOR LAUGHS
THE WHOLE TIME.
Rudi nods.
[Both chuckle]
inspector Feathers says, LET'S WATCH IT AGAIN.
The birds say, YEAH!
Odo says, I KNEW IT WOULD BE GREAT.
Odo and Doodle high five.
[Wings slap, beeping]
[Upbeat music plays]
